MRI results & awaiting biopsy
hi everyone,
For the pst two years I’ve been getting poked (biopsies) and one lumpectomy. So far my left breast has shown to have radial scar with atypical cells, and a intraductal papiloma with usual hyperplasia, all found at 12oclock position. Since family risk and personal risk I’m on high risk screening, last years MRI & mammogram and ultrasound were all clear, yesterday was my MRI and it came back suspicious biopsy needed the results were this:
Linear Non mass enhancement at 6oclock position, 1.7cmfn measure 1 x 0.5 x 0.9 this was not seen on previous exams.
Obviously I’m freaking out. Anyone with any advice, stories, similar experience please let me know while I await to get scheduled for another MRI guided biopsy. Thanks

Hi @charchar8 ,
Ugh, I’m really sorry — that kind of report is enough to make anyone spiral a bit, especially after all you’ve already been through.
We see this a lot with high-risk MRI screening. MRI is super sensitive, so it picks up things that other imaging doesn’t, and “non-mass enhancement” is one of those findings that often ends up needing a biopsy just to figure out what it is. It can be a range of things, many of them not cancer.
Totally normal to be freaking out while you wait. The waiting part is honestly the worst.
You’re doing exactly what you should be…. staying on top of screening and following through. Try to get that biopsy scheduled soon so you’re not stuck in limbo too long.
Hang in there, and keep us posted. You’re not alone in this. 💛 We send you hugs!!

@charchar8 Sorry to hear you need a biopsy but glad you have an appt now. I can empathize , I went through many biopsies for years before I was diagnosed. Had ADH , dense breast and high risk, I know it can be nerve wrecking for sure . Agree with mods you just need to stay on top of things so that if anything does evolve there's a good chance it's caught early! Stay busy and remember there's nothing you can do to change things but can control how you prepare for it. There are many great screening tools but there's nothing more definitive than a tissue biopsy! May the time go quickly as you wait , sending strength and positive vibes your way.

hey cookie thanks so much for your response I appreciate it. It’s hard to talk to friends and family around me that don’t really understand what it’s like even though they try.
