DorK, ain't nuthin you gots to do but chillax (Mrs_Vino) and heal. The bus is safely parked in a rest stop on the NJ turnpike. Think ChrissyB is here too, she got magical skills at moving round the planet! She is one awesome chickadee! Glad she is home safe, her family must have missed her like crazy!
Anyways, de partay bus be at your beck and call, the rest of us are just along for the ride (especially Mrs_Vino who is on a long ride), feel good or order more pain management!

Good Morning Loungettes! Today I get to run around a corn maze and carve jack-o-laterns with my 2 Knights-in-Shining-Armor. They are my friend's two boys, who when they were 5 and 6 told their mom they would marry me when they grew up. They're 10 and 11 now, and the corn maze & carving has become a yearly ritual. I will be SO tired by this evening, hope I don't have to go out for work, but I'm not counting on that! Yesterday was rainy, today will be sunny, so it will be pleasantly warm and MUDDY! Hooray for ‘clean' dirt!
Wahine-Didn't lose power all day, which rather surprised me, not that I'm complaining. You are right about spending time with family while you have them. The stuff in the garage will still be there when they go back to Hawaii, trust me!

Kymn-I was hoping the pat down would be by a cute guy, but the male at the line I went through was nothing like YOUR guy! So I settled for the females. I did know that mets can go to the eye (very rare) but am more concerned about the higher incidence of cataracts from the tamoxifen I took for a few months. New glasses, without scratches, are a GOOD thing! If you like your old glasses why not just replace the lenses?

DorK-the security comment is from a few pages back, don't remember what started it, I was telling about the pat-down that is the option if you don't want to go through the scanners (which I don't). Good idea about hiring AStorm's guy for HTL security, though! OK, Tenders, time to tuck DorKy in for the remainder of the night. 2 handfuls (Crushed) Ice
1 cup Lemonade

Ooh La La.....still eyeing the eye-candy hunks NM sent over to clean up after the partay! Think I can keep them here till DH gets back home tonight??? Such fun last night, thanks for coming over, girlz! Luckily the chandelier is A-OK...I was more worried about the big hand-painted ceiling medallion above it, but whew....that is OK too. (It prolly is just plastic anyway, but looks sharp). That is what my mom fell in love with when she decided to buy this house! Funny, but I sorta treasure the things "she" loved the most, as this was her "dream house", but not mine. I was hesitant to buy this house as I loved my house (which had NO rot, BTW!), but now I love it here. Nice to know I could fit so many of youze in here, never had that big of a partay before!!!
NM, I love the spooky chandeliers, BUT not the spiders.....eeeccckkkK! I am soooo funny about that...when I decorate outside with the fake spider webs and fake spiders, I can hardly touch the spiders!!! I just cringe looking at each one. And then packing them back up....yikes. Ohhhh I love that comfy bed for DorK.....if she gets up ONCE MORE to devour the percotini fountain, I just might sneak in it to try it out. Love the BUZZ MAKER dwink of da day....yummmmmmmmm! I can use a buzz so I can speak like our DorK....Have fun at the corn maze thingie, I think that is sweet that you do that with them every year! DH won me some money last night....wheeeeee! I always send some of mine with him, mostly so the casino thinks I am there too, and keeps sending me offers too (he uses my card for that). Today my mom and I are going to the Tea House for lunch (gotta make our res in time though as they get really busy), and then shopping! So will be gone for most of the day....first time I did not get a ton of stuff done at home while DH is gone. Maybe I can get those hunky house-cleaner guys to do some of that too??? I dunno, they are just too dreamy to look at, I don't care if they do any work....LOL. Thankx for coming over last night girlz, it was so much fun!!! You all are a blast.

Thank you sweet baby Jesus for pain meds and hOmemade wine. Combo is helping the back pain. Dd is a trooper, she loves trips, no complaining. Wahine, I have the broom that moves around, too cute! And I amwith you on those creepy bugs I can't even name. They are about the Only thing I dont decorate with. Takes us five hours to Memphis, def road trip in future. NM enjoy the corn maze, will sit in my hot tub tonight as a pre-emptive strike on your knees. It is so great when you know people like that. Am sitting in my house waiting for friends to arrive to crash at our place tonight. Have known them for 1/2 my life, 23 of 46 years. They hit 20 yrs married in May, we hit it in Nov. Apparently their 16 yr old daughter is grounded for some transgression (big word, must not be drunk enuf). I have known this kid since before she was born.
Anyway, I ramble but will figure since it is a quiet night, I can be a page hog! Well, the week is ending better than it started. I still have no side effects from the tamoxifen ('cept the hot tub hot flashes), Mrs_Vino got good bone scan, DorK got good surgery (but the longer recovery), all the stupid cars better be done f'in with you all, had it with that! And Kath, despite the critter, you had awesome time with your parents! I lost my Dad in 1999, and kick myself over the times I missed, go girl.

I am just starting to partay. had a rough morning and reaaly bad night last night but feeling sooo much better. had to run to the doc to have the splint trimmed, it was jabbing my armpit. I had just released dh as he had to work and was not sure when the doc would call. so ended up takin a neighbor up on an offer to help anytime and had her drive me. thank you Joan!! I am not used to taking help from others so am proud of myself for making that call. I got home and crashed at 4pm til near midnight. I am ready to parTAY!!

HAHA DorK. Yes, those are them! I'm printing that picture for DH! LMAO ... I think you missed "Stink" though! They came home with yet another toy the other day... it is a HUGE ASS-Family trailer to cart around the other toys. I'm not kidding you can put two cars in the thing and they parked it on the street along with their 2 boats, RV, 5 cars, quad-runner, and 5 motorcycles.
Just had a lovely dinner with DD in the city. She seemed very happy and we hardly got lost at all. Now i'm looking for a yummy zucchini recipe for my dinner party.

I did the same thing...OMG I had some rocking parties...was 16-17, and my GF that didn't drink didn't like seeing me dwunk. I kept telling her I was NOT dwunk, but that I could walk the lines on the kitchen floor....till she would say "stop" and I would fall flat on my back. LOL...those were the days! Funny how my boyfriend didn't mind my getting dwunk...hmmmmmm....

DorK, how AWESOME that Chrissy called you from OZ!!!! Sooooo sweet of her, but from what I have read, that is how she is! SO nice of her to think of cheering you up after your surgery!!! Glad you took up your neighbors offer to help. YES, that IS hard to do, to accept help! What is worse is when it is offered, and they don't mean it! When my late DH had his 1st heartattack (at 34), my girls were still little, so needed people to watch them so I could be at the hospital. So many neighbors helped out, but ONE friend(?) that offered to help, said no when I asked her. That is something you never forget!!! I am like you are, and HATE to ask, and only will ask if there is no other option, so that was an eye-opener. I make sure when I offer, that I really mean it! Glad your neighbor "really meant it"! Hoping you will have a better day today!!!
Gail, OMG that road-hog neighbor needs to go!!! Aren't there restrictions on that sort of thing? We are not allowed (in my subdivision) to park on the street, just one night is ok. But of course some of my neighbors seem to keep a car on the street quite often. I like them though, so would never report them. BUT if they were like your neighbor-from-hell, then oh yeah I would report them in a heartbeat!!! I think you need DorK's and Scuby's "PEOPLE" to give them a visit.......

Hello sistas! Rockin it here in Texas! Got here around 3:30 yesterday, and in our room there were these Awesome gift bags, full of itinerary, snacks, drinks, you name it! The rehearsal dinner was at 7:00 at a place called hard eight BBQ, and was soooo good. They had a huge room with full bar, buffet, dj....lots of fun! The friend of ours getting married (actually got married at 2 today) used to country dance with us. My DH was teaching line dance lessons on the night I met him, and then we joined a dance team and used to dance 4-5 nights a week, even competed. We taught Brent (groom) how to dance, and he went on to become a world champion! True story!! So after lots of Texas beer, we danced it up, and everybody was clapping and stuff, it was great! I have to admit I am a big attention hog, lol. And DD started to cry when we had to leave. We were the last to

Now sitting here catching up with you gals! Wedding was beautimous, and reception is 5:30. These people pull out all the stops!! Hi Ladiez......
Have been out cycling in the rain and wind, and amazingly only got a bit damp. Then back for a real cream tea. I made the scones prior to heading out, and baked when we got back. Served with real clotted cream plus strawberry jam. Almost as good as a drink. Tea was Earl Grey.
Celebrating my cycling buddy Jim's landing a new job. Really.....he got the offer last night. I am so thrilled.
Otherwise, have been reading everyone's posts and staying current. Will be moving on from tea to wine later.
BTW - anyone who say the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda which was shot in Seattle the last two days of this week should get the idea that wine is easy to come by. They certainly caught on in a big hurry. Also gives good flavor of what it's like living here.

kathy, my bday is one dat after our allison, 10/26. funny thing, i have it as 10/25 in my profle - did that for ID protection. DOB is not good to post publicly as it can be used for id theft. just woke up from a long nap. my ex dh drove me to the pool store, had to buy new leaf net and a few bags of shock. the people r coming to close the pool on 10/26. wish it was later since scuby luv is coming the next day. Ex dh is here, we are celebrating dd's bday today but her's is also 10/25.
