Thank you ladies for all of the compliments. I figured I've pretty much ditched the wig now. It does feel nice to finally get rid of that thing. Well at least one of my project managers showed up today and he says he likes it so I feel better now.
Kiwimom, YOU LOOK FABULOUS. Definitely looks like you meant to wear it like that. Forget about the cow. She's clueless! (and most likely jealous she can't look that good in short hair)

Wow ladies! I'm so impressed with the pictures. You all look awesome! I'm about 10 weeks PFC, and suffering VERY SLOW regrowth. I look a bit like LuvRVing's 3-5 week pix. But it's finally starting to grow, so I'm happy. It's sparse, and very white, so it's not showing up much. Thinking of coloring it soon, just so I can see it!
Finally finished rads yesterday. Yippee! Tired, but jubilant! Congrats to all of you who have just finished chemo. Progress!

RoBo - my eyebrows all fell out about 2 wks PFC. I'd recommend just using brow powder in the short term as mine grew back really quickly. I still have one brow which is a bit patchy, but it's nothing a bit of powder can't fix.
Since finishing chemo I have been taking Biotin daily and a supplement called Hair, Skin and Nails. I don't know if it's helping or not but my hair growth is good. One odd thing is my arm hair. Instead of it lying down against the skin, like it used to, it has grown back but sticks out. I'm thinking of waxing it off and hoping it comes back better. I'm not sure what to do. Also the fur on my face ... blergh!
I have also colored mine with a herbal, non paraben, no peroxide, no nasties colour I got at a Health store. It covered the grey stragglers well.0 -
Forgot to add, congrats on finishing rads Robyn. I hope you are not too burnt and heal quickly. I finished rads 3 weeks ago and the skin has healed well.

My eyebrows fell out about 2 weeks PFC too. New ones were growing in as the old were still falling out. Now they are all new, short and sticking straight out. (and white) I have always used powder since they're normally so light. I hated losing my eye lashes to most but they grew back just as quickly.

Robo I've considered using minoxidil on my brows but then you have todo it forever. I'm doing it on my head because I hade some receding prior to diagnosis. Funny but chemo did a much better job replacing what I had lost. Seems this entire journey is a do over for me. What was small is now big (boobie prizes) what was lost I have now regained. I'm still hoping my rows & nails improve by august

McCrimmon and Kiwimum you both look amazing. I can't wait to have hair like yours. The ultra short hair has a very VOGUE model look that's for sure.:) I think the key is to embrace the look 100%. I finally went topless this last Wednesday(almost 5 mos post chemo). So far no sympathy looks and everyone has been really sweet and complimentary.
I did have my hubby color it a natural blonde which is a little lighter than the original and it took just fine.

bdavis, I am 34 weeks pfc and my hair is very similar to yours (no cuts) BUT with my new hair extensions noone would know it.

Thanks for thinking of us Racy. I live in Auckland so am unaffected. The people in Christchurch have had such a tough time and for this to happen again, 2 days before Xmas is devastating! Our thoughts are with the people of Chch too.
