mind-boggling I am so thankful your wife is doing so well. It must be exciting to be planning for a family. I agree with the others ... her MO will need to watch her carefully so I'd start there! Best of Luck!

Thanks Girls!! A party is in store for sure! This New Years Eve is gonna be so much better then last year. Got my party dress all ready for the day! Oh and Junie dont think that just because Im all girlied up doesnt mean I wont be in the fight, lol!
mind-boggling I would talk to the doctor about this. I have no answer for it. Good Luck with this!
Sherry Im so sorry your have to go thru this with your friend. I know that getting sober for me was a rough go but until I was ready to do it for myself, it didnt stick. The saying always go you have to hit rock bottom before you start crawling out. Maybe if all her friends divorce her and she knows why this may wake her up.

Paula you can look as good as you want but I will be hiding as I wouldn't want to look bad in front of all our friends......LOL! Love ya girl

Welcome mind-boggling. I think it would be a good idea to not only consult with her medical oncologist but also with her gynecologist. They would need to work as a team and exchange information so that both doctors are aware of what the other is doing. I am so glad to hear she is doing so well and that you two have plans for a family. Best of luck to you. Would you please check back and let us know what you find out?

Hi all - hope you all had a wonderful christmas. Went for my first mammo yesterday post surgery (6 months) - was so busy with family over Christmas that I didn't think much about it, but when I got to the hospital I started crying. Way to sneak up on me emotions. They took 3 films of affected breast only. It was a little uncomfortable because I'm a bit swollen still (I assume from radiation), but hey, aren't they always uncomfortable. See BS next week, keeping my fingers crossed. Hope everyone has a happy and healthier New Year.
Pat

Paula thanks for the encouragment. I know that you are right. A person as to want to help themselves and they have to hit rock bottom whatever that is for them. We cannot help her or fix her at this point, she has to do it herself.
OH Paula and I know that girlie stuff will just be a cover up cause you are always ready for a pillow fight. waack, waack

Wanted a good choice tonight, so thought this would start. Now where is that barkeep to get the liquor flowing? I had a successful shopping trip with 2 of my sisters and we are looking to celebrate tonight. It has been years since the 3 of us were able to ditch DH and children and other assorted relatives to spend an enire day shopping for exactly what we wanted to look at, taking breaks as needed, having coffee as desired, and a completely estrogen-deficient conversation due to various reasons (DH still thinks there is too much and tries to avoid us as a mob thing...)
So I got a couple of whacks in, got you some good liquor, and I am exhausted by the shopping today, so am headed to bed early. Got new boobs (fewer problems than I anticipated), new Nook, a few other items from the bookstore, so we were finally ready to leave, Now on to the grocery store an a few other stops tomorrow for midnight snacks and dinner.
Warmes wishes to everyone for a very happy and blessed new year! Thanks everyone for helping to make my 2011 liveable. You are WONDERFUL AND LOVING! Thank You!!

Happy New year ladies, thank you for the welcome to your group!! i seem to be tracking a few of you with side effects on tamoxifen. no sooner had i read on here about cramps than i started getting them lol. interesting cos i sailed thru chemo really, but tamoxifen is def impacting on me...headaches, joint pain, much bigger and longer hot flashes, heart palpitations, mood swings and something a litte akin to that feeling of being on steroids..coming up to three weeks now so am hoping this settles down soon, anyway, happy new year y'all, having a quiet one here with kids and couple of friends, Rosemary0

Hi Louis - Most of my side effects faded away after a few months. Besides warm flashes, I can't complain. I hope yours even out as well.

Hey Paula - One last ((((WHACK))) for you!!!!!
And June, ((Whack))
Happy New Year my friends! Kicking 2011 to the curb Wishing for a healthier, wealthier and happier 2012 for all of us...

Hi Louis I hope you find yourself like the rest of us where the SE start to fade away as your body adjust. I think the only major complaint I have and I wonder if it is due to Tamox is joint ache. I cannot seem to go down a flight of stairs with out the hobbling downward like an old lady of 80 might do, not someone who is 46.
Mom has pneumonia and we are all worried about her, so please say a prayer for tonight as the Doc's told us her life expectancy is less than 2 years 6 months ago and something like pneumonia will probably kill her. So I know I am being ULTRA paranoid but with good reason.....so pray my friends.
And as for Odie and Paula WHACKADOODLE! Boy did that feel good
Love to you all and Happy New Years to best group of gal pals anyone could ask for!
