Hello ladies!  Back from a great family vacation!  Missed a few pocket parties, but I was there in spirit!

Peg - so sorry about your friend.  Stupid cancer.

    Hope you are all well!

Tink so sorry you are feeling like crap.  I had the same thing but no fever.  Weird body aches, head thingy, cold for almost a week and now I feel so much better but I know what's headed my way.  Any time I have a cold I end up with a sinus infection....oh Yipee....something else to look forward to.

Paula I am so glad you are in a happy place I miss your laughter big time.....

Love to you all and hope everyone has a wonderful hump day.

Maria, hope you feel better soon - the crud is just no fun.

MamaV, did you have a wonderful time? Get some rest & relaxation?

Paula, I sewed many years ago in 4-H and absolutely hated it, my younger sister was a whiz and still loves it. She is helping me with the wardrobe issues to put pockets in swim suits. I wish I had a sewing machine of my own - I am sure I could make my own foob pockets. But I sure hope you are sewing something much more fun than foob pockets!!!

I did "gentle yoga" yesterday, and also participated in a promotional video for the Medical Fitness Center here. I went for a massage, decided I would stay for the yoga class, but in between times they were filming doctors, physical therapists, trainers, instructors, etc. talking about the services they provide - they are kicking off a new cancer program to help cancer patients keep physically active. They provide cardiac & pulmonary rehab, as well as orthopedic and other wellness programs. It's a great place, and I was glad to walk around the track with one of the instructors - we were supposed to just walk and she was supposed to be "engaging me" in "therapeutic conversation" or something like that - we actually just chatted about her daughter. And on Friday I am going for my first acupuncture treatment. Hoping it helps with the arm pain and now that I have read some of your posts, maybe it will help my energy as well!

    Sleep well, all.

Stopped by the tat shop for one last look at the drawing and am so excited!  I cant wait until tomorrow for it to be done.  Hubby isnt happy but he never is when I get inked.  You would think that this being no. 8 he would just go with the roll, lol.  He has calmmed down when I tell him that Im getting ink, so I guess thats a good sign. Still working up the nerve to try the acupuncture though, lol.  Somewhere in my warped mind I have it if someone is gonna poke me with needles there better be a pretty picture on the end of that needle, lol.

Linda get you a machine.  I did it back in school and liked it.  Never really got the urge to really do it until a while back.  Now I have been bitten by the sewing bug.  Plus with it being the age of the internet there is all kinds of stuff out there to do.   Good luck with the gentle yoga.

Sherry I am lucky that I have a room all to myself that I can use just for sewing.  It has been one of the guilty pleasures I had in life and I love love it.  I hope you can get into your room soon.

Welcome back MamaV.  Glad that you had a good time.

Paula - I also have my own sewing room.  At one time it was the guest room but there have been no guests to I took it over.  Seemed like the right thing to do since DH had his own room.  I even have a futon and TV in there.  My closet is full of supplies and you should see the fabric.  I can make quilts for many years and just have to buy batting. backing fabric and some filler pieces.  I am always buying new patterns to make.  Some I have made - others are still waiting to be made.  If I did not have to work full time I would be in my room all the time.

I like to do crafts, but I don't ever remember not knowing how to sew.  Always been fairly simple things, kids clothes, purses, curtains, etc.  I have three sewing machines, two sergers (that I've never touched) and just to finish the "collection" I asked for an embroidery machine for Christmas.  (I also have a "collection" of fabric because I love to buy it, but can't stand to cut it because it's just so pretty and I'd hate to cut it and start sewing and mess it up.)   Not a fancy expensive one, just a simple one - of course I got it (because I'm the one who ordered it.)  I finally got up the nerve to try it out in January and got to the middle of it doing it's thing making a heart and the needle broke.  Tried again, another broken needle.  Put it away til I bought more needles and tried again, but not that same heart and it got to the middle and broke the third needle.  I turned it off, walked away and haven't messed with it again.  I'm sure it's something I'm doing, but I've just got to find the patience to sit back down and start again.  And sewing for me has always been a mood thing - I just have to be in the mood to do it.

Jo sounds like me, lol.  I finally had to force myself to stop buying fabric because it was over taking my room.  I did donate a bunch to a group of young gals who have just started out on their sewing adventures so I have room no, lol.

Paula, It is so hard for me to not buy a piece of fabric or two if I know it will go with something I have in my stash.  I buy one or two yard pieces at a time knowing that eventually I will use it.  I have a bunch of extra money these days since I quit smoking 7 months ago and what better to spend it on.

Hey ladies, my hotflashes have returned with a vengance.  I don't know what is going on but over the last few days they have gotten increasingly worse.  Even having hot flashes during the day which I did not have before or very seldom.  Not liking it at all.  I guess it could be worse and I could be breaking out in a sweat, but luckily I don't do that just get very, very hot!  I went to a new store opening yesterday that is caring all kinds of organic products and bought some wonderful lavender bath salts and decided to soak in the tub last night.  I really wanted a glass of wine with that soak but with the hot flashes being so bad I knew that would send me over the edge so I just did the soak.  DH is out of town so I have the house to myself and it was so quiet and peaceful without the news blarrying, haha.

Sherry I am just starting to get warm and hot flashes....I think mine is due to peri-menopuase and not the pill.  Yippe what a joy.  At least you get the house to your self now try and behave and not steal too many boy toys from Tink's closet.....ha ha

So I am up to walking 2 miles now a day.....WOW, what a long road this has been for my foot problems, but I started with so much pain walking 12 min to doing now 30 minutes.  I am soooo happy, but wish I could speed up the process some.  I want to get  back to my 4-6 miles, it is when I felt my best.

Hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday.  HUGS!!!

The results from my D&C are back and everything is B9!!!  I am very relieved to say the least.  And maybe it's a good sign because today is the 2-year anniversary of my original BC diagnosis.  Nice to have some good news on this date!  Now I think I shall go and celebrate with some chocolate!!!Smile

I agree ladies, thank God for Friday.

I hate to say it out loud, but the handsome hunks don't excite me. That scares me! I've always enjoyed looking at handsome guys. Hopefully, the feelings come back after Tammi is done. 5 years is a long time. ;-(

newfmama I had the same issues. Over time things leveled out I was about to get my freak back.  It was a rough ride, but it did come back.  Not like it was before BC, but I'll take what I can get.  I know it really bothered me at the start cause because it really took a nose dive after the BMX/chemo/Tamoxifen.

On the weight gain, I have gotten there too, yuck. At first I tried to blame it on my age.  That finally wasnt gonna fly.  I was one of those gals who could eat eat eat and never have an issue, but not now. It really came on quickly over the last few months.  I really need to do something about it.  At first the mind games set it so I wasn't wanting to face that fact, so I was'nt really motivated to do anything about it.  It does seem like I have to work harder just to keep it off. I know some gals dont have any issues while others have had weight gain.

samdave7 welcome to the train-Sorry I can't help on the weight gain as I was one to loose weight and did not need to.  I have finally gained 5 lbs back and DH says I look much healthier.

June congrats on the walking.  Your feet sure have given you problems.

Glad it is Friday but last night my laptop decided not to work.Frown  No warning signs nothing, It just will not turn on.  Brought it to work and gonna see if I can get it going if not I am leaving early to go to Austin and take it to the repair place.  The upside to that is I can go out to eat.  DH won't be home until very late, but I'm sure I can find someone to do with me.
