Kristy, BE CAREFUL....hope you don't get any tornadoes. You can be a slug all day; just keep track of the weather, ok? Sorry to hear that your mom had been in the hospital. Glad you can help her with her appt, and maybe she WILL get the C-PAP and USE IT.

Hi ya goils!!!  Just popping in to update y'all.  I'm still in hospital and will be here until at least Tuesday so my doc said when asked by DD yesterday.  I have it seems, developed asthma and am now on pulmicort and ventalin and still need to feed the vampires each day until we get the warfarin levels right in the blood stream.  All other scans etc have come back with no change from my previous lot so there is no further progression of the beast so that is really good news.  I must admit, that even though I am not really happy about having to be in hospital for a week again,  the treatment, care and thoroughness of the doc that I'm under cannot be faulted.

NM I can see you now sitting on the gound, in your hammock chair, drink in hand laughing your ass off and i'm right there with you!  That is soooo funny and paints a fabulous word picture.

What a shame our Mr Big decided to get married!  All I can say is she better treat him good or there will be hell to pay!..................now the new Mr Bigger looks pretty good and I just might hav ta give him a try out just to make sure he comes up to scratch..............lol

Lori, you've got snow!?  OMG!!!!  Mind you the pics look soooo pretty but those poor little hummingbirds will be freezing!!!!  Hope your plant protectors pass this rigorous test and your marties survive!!!

Beans lovely to see you pop in when you can.......................stay safe on your journey!

Well girls there is so much I want to say but my back is killing me and I need to change positions which means I gotta get off the computer........BLAH!!........it's just tht I have had to sleep on my back for the last two weeks and I have developed pressure points which are  a liile OUCH!

    Love all youse girls heaps!

    Love n hugs.  Chrissy

Chrissy, glad the scans are good but sorry you have to be cooped up another few days. At least you have the computer!

Weather has remained quiet in my area, but several tornadoes have touched down in several places in eastern Nebraska. A lightning strike in Iowa burned two barns to the ground. So far no reports of any injuries anywhere.

DH decided to head out for Omaha and Jimmy Buffett. He has arrived and didn't have to use the windshield wipers once. So hoping that continues for the next five hours or so. Was soooo excited to find a hidden bottle of Bailey's Chocolate Mint-thought I was out and was going to "settle" for cheap wine. YAY! A shot of Kahlua made for a yummy slug drink. But now time for a margarita...think I have a tub of the frozen stuff in the freezer, singing "Wasted away again in Margaritaville..."

Ali, Luv, LOVE the lyrics quote. I am a former music teacher and piano major but I have been known to screw up a lyric or two...or I should say the ARTIST has! My most classic...Prince's Little Red Corvette. I swear the lyrics are "Pay the rent, Collette." Driving down the road with my sister, wailing away to that song and she says, "What are you SINGING? Those are NOT the words!" WHAT?!!

Kristy, Funny about those words! My DH had the words wrong to Norwegian Wood. Instead of "Isn't it good, Norwegian Wood"....he always thought it was "Isn't it good, knowing she would"! I hated to break his bubble and tell him the real words, but it WUZ funneeee.

Anyone still up? Many tornadoes throughout the state but not near us. DH hit warnings on way home and is staying at my mothers in lincoln after DD insisted he should not drive further. Now it is hailing here but not severe. Poor lil Gracie Lu is shivering from nerves, hiding under the covers as the thunder rumbles. I have to play at church in 8 hours but hard to sleep with all the noise. Will play some Angry Birds I think.

Morning girls! DorK, so funny you mentioned burning RB Peeps, as we were out of marshmallows, and thats exactly what we were burning! They were tasty, but the sugar on the outside got hotter than a marshmallow, so had to be careful. The wind kicked up, so I came back in with Aubrey, and we went to bed.

Kristy, hope you had no hail damage. I have hail damage on the back of my thighs, but that's different, hehehe.

OK, off to do laundry, get some chit done around here. BBL

Yeah, Kristy, Hope you didn't have any damage! Those storms were fierce.

Strange weather all around Husker, hope you were spared the tornados. Also hoping the best from your mom. I didn't know a C-PAP could help sleep apnia. My mom is on one, but it's to keep her alive! She is overweight and has COPD. Big thumbs up on the concert and finding a bottle!

MrsV, doze wuz sum good Margaritas. YUMMMMMM. My DH was having pop corn last night and I mentioned to him that we call it cop porn here, he looked at me like I was crazy! Woot Woot on the copy/paste. You can do the same with your photos too, or anyone elses photos. If it's someone elses tho, I always ask first. Like when I posted some of yours. I'm sure we have all changed words to a song or two and one time or another. And your hubby is spot on, you ARE pretty. Ooooooo, I knew as soon as you sayed HOOCH, DorK would show up! And hail damage on the back of your thighs, good one! I'll bet we have all been in that storm!

    LMAO at "Basement Hooch".

Katrinka no drinka, if you don't start dwinkin soon, we may hab to throw you out, dis iz a dwinkin thwed. Kidding of course, I hope the Dramamine helps, I bet if you drank on that, you would get berry sleepy. Might not be a bad idea for a night cap? I think Dork hepped you drink last time, so I will volunteer dis time.

Chrissy, we don't like you in the hospital either, but glad you have good things to say about the staff. And then there is our good good buddy NED. That is the BESTEST news. I will be checking my maters today and posting a pic. The snow is all gone now and suppose to reach almost 60 today! The ones I'm really worried about is my peach tree. Mother Nature always messes with that one and we only get peaches about every 4 years, but when we do get them, OMG....they are SOOOO good. Feel better soon, glad you are checking in. LOL @ Wawa spotting Mr. Bigger in your room!!!

    DOTD...why of course, S'mores Cocktail

    Ingredients

    • Ice, as needed
    • 1 ounce chocolate liqueur (recommended: Godiva)
    • 1 ounce dark creme de cacao
    • 2 ounces vanilla-flavored vodka Chocolate syrup, for serving
    • Crushed graham crackers, for serving
    • Marshmallow fluff, for serving

    Directions

Shake the chocolate liqueur, creme de cacoa, and vanilla-flavored vodka over ice.
Place chocolate syrup in a shallow bowl or plate. In a separate plate or bowl, add the graham crackers. Rim a glass with chocolate syrup and then press in graham crackers.
Strain and pour in the cocktail mixture, then cover with marshmallow fluff and carefully brulee the fluff.

Do those look yummy, or WHAT?

    Good morning loungettes,

Katwinka no dwinka,  yose cracked me de hail up with your pics last night. I had gone to bed and missed dem but OMG, I taught dems was sooo funny. Especially when you got to de turner and hooch! You is so cweative. I concur with Lori and say Go ahead and have a dwink before bed, you will sleep like a baby!

Lori, I hope your maters and your peach tree is okay and not hurt from de cold and snow. And I bet those sweet humming boyds are haappy that you had dere backs (in cleaning up dere feeder). De poor tings. Your s'mores cocktail looks yummmmy. Funny story I jest thought of....when Chrissy B and I went grocery shopping de first time she was in de US, she asked me what graham crackers were. Well I had a helluva time trying to describe dem. I could not figure out how to tail her what dey are. So wese jest bought dem and we ate dem. I wish I had turned her onto s'mores cooked on de fire.  Dems is one of my faborite sweet tings to snack on. Dey is goooey and jest as yummy.

Kristy, I hope de storm system has passed and dat your husband gets home to you quickly. I tink your DD is smart to make him stop traveling and honker down somewhere safe. I was watching GMA dis morning and saw some of those wild tornados and thought of you. And your poor Gracie Lu hiding under de covers, I don't blame her though, I would be doing se same ting. Give her a kiss from me if you will.

Gail, where are you? I was hoping to see you post again. You always found de most lovely and/or fun photos and I really enjoyed your posts. And who mentioned the last time we saw you with your homemade duck feet? I remember your costume and de egg that you put on your car when you picked up your kids, you are also berry creative and were berry much missed here. I am glad that you offered to give someone your contact info so dat we will neber lose track of you again.  and de big question.....have those trashy neighbors of yours moved de hail away? I am trying to remember if it was de same family where de wife died from RB and weeks later de non grieving widower brought de ho and dere new baby to move into de deceased woman's bed. And was it de same people that had "tented" dere home? I really hope to see you around more. And if your DH wants to know the truth,  we can tail him dat you love him and only him. After all, we were berry close to you and knew more about what you were doing den most of your friends prolly did and I can attest dat you were not doing anyting bad here. I am praying for peace in your marriage. Hugs to ya!  (((GAIL)).

Chrissy, dahling, did Mr. Bigger ebber "pop' out from behind de curtain? I am so sorry that you are stuck in de hospital for a few more days. I tink we should get de UFO pilot to bwing us all back to Oz to look after you. I love you berry much goil.  I have some big hugs for your too (((CHRISSY))).

Allison, you crack me de hail up too. "I have hail damage on the back of my thighs".....hahahaha, berry funny. Did you make dat up? Yose so witty, I enjoy your posts so much and hope you post more now dat you have your ipad.

Where's my Kymn? And Cindy is also MIA. I hope you goils pop in de lounge and let us know that all is well. Katwinka, do you have Cindy's contact info?

Well I am not quite done here but for some reason, my typing has started to lag and I am ascared that I will lose this so I am going to hit submit den come back. I ain't done talking yet.......Happy Sundey Fundey to all yese goils. I jest love you all!!

Ooohhhhhh dose cocktails look soooooo ono, Lori! Yummmmm....right to my sweet tooth. Hope your maters and peach tree made it ok! Tanx for volunteering for dwinkin for mese 2-dey....whut would mese do widout youse all???

Dork, Cute about the Graham Crackers....such funny things we have that other countries don't have, and vice versa. I love the joke (verrrrrry old) of when a foreign comic first came to the U.S., and went to the grocery store. He was so excited to open the "can" of fried chicken he bought...looked so good in the picture. Well...what a surprise to find out it was really shortening! Whew, you and Lori have GOOD brains for remembering stuff! I guess when someone is not here very often, they just don't register in mese teeny bwain. Cannot even remember who Cindy is! Enlighten me.

Mema, Sad to sell your boat, but good decision when you don't get to use it. Good for you, for starting to walk!

I have just spent 2 hrs making a shutterfly photo book for my mom for Mother's Day. I think it should get here in time. Just a thought for those of you with parents that have failing memories. You know how they remember the long ago times the most? I had read that those are also the pictures they seem to like the most, as it brings back the most memories, rather than the more recent pictures. SO I used pics of when she was a baby, sailing as a teen, etc. Included some more recent ones, but mostly the old pictures. Hope it turns out good!

Hugsssss to all....gotta go work outside now, as it should rain starting tomorrow. Hope everyone was safe in those storms!!!

Kathy, Cindy is Tiedye. I have not seen her around for quite some time. Great idea on the pics for mother's day. My sister made my parents a digital photo frame using many old photos over the years and they really enjoyed it.

Mema, sorry you have such a crap connetion. I hate dat. And I would LOVE to have an RV but DH is a partay pooper and not a fan of camping. Booo hoo. Good for you in getting a walk in. I walked to my fridge todey if that counts lol. I really need to start dieting, my belly is starting to look like one of a pregnant woman. Ughhh.

Beanie, I hope you and DH are having a good time and that you are getting some R&R. I miss ya around here.

Scuby, please check in. I miss ya goil. I hope you are feeling well. Sending you some DorkY hugs ((((LISA))))).

I am going to have an afternoon nap. DH is working and my DD and ex hub will be here in about an hour. I want to get some yard work done but heck, it'll wait. We are expecting some very hot temps starting tomorrow, getting up to near 90 degrees. Crazy chit eh?

Cheers my ladies! Have a great dey!

My kids leave this afternoon....DH and SIL just went to the liquor store...Its cheaper here and SIL wants to get a bottle of scotch or vodka (or maybe both)...he doesn't drink that much, but he likes to have it for show on his bar....DD is finishing packing and wants to get a few things at athe grocery store that she can't get at home.....

Kitchen is back to "normal"...all the Passover stuff is put away for another year...DS (and it doesn't stand for darling this morning) is ranting and raving cuz he can't find his coffee cup and its DH and me who put it where he can't find it!!!!  About ready to ask him if he things he can do better elsewhere!!!  Don't think SIL liked all the yelling from his BIL!!!!

I was soooo exhausted yesterday after lunch....took a way too long nap and then couldn't go to sleep last night.....plus wasn't doing well mentally....not a whole lot better today.....How long does it take for the Armour thyroid and the DHEA/testosterone to see a benefit.....Also need to get the supplements...VIt D (10,000 IU/day), Vit K and an assortment of other things...think I'll go to Vitamin cottage today to check it out...The "BHRT" doc uses an online retailer that sells pharmaceutical grade....need to check it out as well as see how the prices compare.....

Talked to Mom today....she wasn't having a good day.....she is having a hard time with Dad...Dad has been irritable for the past week or so...and he soiled his pants again today...2nd time in a week after over a month with no accidents.....I think part of the problem is that she was really disappointed that she couldn't come to denver for Passover...she said she is coming next year even if it means putting Dad in respite for the week....

Busy week coming up...I have something 3 nights this week...one I'm not sure why I signed up...maybe its for the $100!!! that is some survey/panel on education on Tuesday night...Wednesday night I have a "pink bag dinner" meeting for the Day of Caring next month and Thursday is the local Komen affiliate 20 year celebration and volunteer recognition....guess I won't be doing a lot of cooking this week :)  I have left over chicken from friday night dinner that is going in the freezer and two pieces of pesto salmon...DD and DH can eat that one night.....But I am cooking lunch for SIL today.....their flight is at 4:30....and they land in Toronto at 9:30.  So making him skirt steak...not sure what else to go with it......

Well thats about all.....need to go vacuum the dining room.....and then figure out what I want to do today.....need to remember to take some pics of the kids and us.....wonder if DS will join in for any pics before he goes to work!!!!  I think I know the anwer...

Gail.....so glad to see you back posting.....
