I'm still in the hos-pit-able an the doc says maebe Fliday I kin goes home.......sigh.......I jes knows now that I will go home one day......:( I have developed an allergy to one of the meds they are giving me but I'm darned if I know which one so an anti-hystermine is now being added to the regime..............who needs maracas? I just shake my little tooshy and I rattle!!!!!...................lol

Good morning, Loungettes! Not much going on here, and going to keep it that way. Hoping I can get the rototiller started today so I can finish opening up the garden. State tax refund came in, and that's my garden money for this season. Want to take a trip to my favorite nursery and spend some money, but need the garden ready to go when I get back! Well, I got it going once, I'm sure I'll get it going again.
Juliet--LOVE the use of duct tape!
Wahine--I'm going to give the supers a little bit of time (about 2 weeks, max) to see what they come up with. My little crying episode, and saying I can't handle the work load anymore seems to have set the cat among the pigeons--there was a meeting cancelled and all kinds of closed office door meetings and phone calls after I got done, so there may be some movement cooking. I know the admin I talked to Sunday thinks I'm a workhorse, and doesn't want to lose me, and with 2 other nurses resigning recently one more nurse leaving is going to create a staffing crisis. BUT--and mine's a big butt-- I will not put up with promises without solid time frames. I know that trick. I've started looking at the open jobs in the area already. But hey, enough of this nonsense, lets DWINK!!!! Hooray for you feeling better!
Mrs. Vino--don't you just love those work days that go on forever?
Mema--my sanity has been in question for a long time, my dear, I guess I'm just ketcuping to the fact! I've heard the WD 40 and Duct tape move/doesn't move line before, and it's a good one! Hooray for DH's test results!!!
Juliet--yes, some of that 25 hour time was call time (about 7 hours of it, if I remember right). I am definitely going to get some overtime again this week. I only need 9 hours to make my 32 hours, and another 8 after that until I hit 40 hours. I'll work at least 12 hours Saturday, probably some hours on Friday night. I think I'm going to make sure I get at least one hour of OT just to make a point. If I get expensive enough they'll move me sooner!
Mrs. Vino--I'm going on the Partay UFO! I can come help load it up. I wants to make sure there is lots and lots of Wild Turkey American Honey!
Scuby--I am so glad you are getting a diving vacay! Can't wait to see the pics!!

Goldie--both hospice patients were 80 or older, both had cancer. Both death expected, just not expected to be this last weekend. Death is a lot like birth that way--it happens when it happens and there ain't much that we can do to change the schedule! One family thanked me by name in the obituary, a very touching thing for a family that just met on Saturday to do. I'm not giving up on making a move off weekends soon, I'm just giving them a little time to work on it. Tomorrow I plan to ask if they have a time line, and let them know mine. I expect the two will be rather different. but if I give a time line and tell them I'm looking to meet it here or somewhere else they may be motivated to move a bit faster. I took a look inside the plant protectors and my veggies and lettuce are looking GREAT! If I can just get the tiller going and finish prepping the garden I can make my nursery run and get some more stuff in and some more protectors going.
Wahine--I'm with you, lets take the UFO diving! I love being in/on/around the water, don't get anywhere near enough of it anymore. I'm scared of sharks, too, but fascinated as well. Bad combo, I forget to breathe when I see them!

Oh Bernie, They just don't "get it". Thats why forums such as this one are so important. WE "get it", but I just don't know about our some of our other friends and family. So sorry she has upset you so much. I wish she realized that it isn't ever "over", but a constant worry. Here are some BIG hugs (((((Bernie)))))....wish I could give you a real hug in person, though. Just vent here, cuz we all understand. Would be nice if your DH, or someone else close to you could have a little private chat with her and "clue her in" on the realities of cancer. Hoping she didn't realize what she was saying, and how it would affect you. I am sure she loves you deeply, she's just.....clueless. Pants, pronto, puleez bwing our dear Bernie a BIG glass (well heck, bring her a bottle) of her favorite wine, ok? Hope you'll be feeling better soon, and she realizes how this really affects all of us.

Dang, just read the sad news. I know he was old and had problems, but still....Dick Clark was a legend. No one can really do what he did. I even liked seeing him, even for just a bit, at the New Years ball drop at Times Sq. Prayers going out to his family and loved ones. He will surely be missed.
Hugs to all of you. Got home an hr ago, but leaving soon for a dinner with my DD...for Girl Scouts 100th birthday. While I was a leader, we had the 75th celebration. She was hoping my mom would come too, since she was a leader also. But she is tired....she and I painted this afternoon but our hearts weren't in it, so I came home verrrrrry tired. Think tonight will be fun though..I still have the photo album when I was leader...our troop got many awards, so it means a lot Also have a pic from the paper when I was a scout at 9 yrs old (in brownie uniform), as well as a pic of my youngest DD at the same age, when she was in the paper in her brownie uniform!
