LOL CyndieLouWho...I thought the same thing....WHY would Cyn post a pic of a hairy guy and act like its her! We KNOW better....LOL. Ewwwww is right, but it IS funneeeeeeeeee. You know, hot flashes affect us all differently, one way to know, is if NO ONE else is hot, and you feel like you are in a sauna! There are so many diff degrees of it, and mine have simmered down a bit. Always been hot-natured though, so I am usually hot anyway when no one else is, but the hot flashes, for me, seem to start and quickly go from my waist up to my head, or vice versa. And knowing they will leave as quickly as they came, helps a lot. ALSO never go anywhere without a hand-held fan!!! IT used to make me anxious and I think that made them last longer, esp when stuck on a hot plane, but knowing I have a fan and that it will be gone in 2-5 min, helped me. Good luck!!!!

NM, I just set up our tandem kayak ride down the river next Tues night, its a nighttime thing (6:30-10:30), and guided. Should I feel comfortable that the person I booked it with said she has only seen a couple of snakes this past month???  OR did she say THIS month (which is only 2 days old)? One is tooooo many for me. Should be awesome though as its not real wide, and lots of wildlife, PLUS I asked, and YES we can take likker, or beer, or wine or willy (well I didn't ask about the willy)......wheeeeeeeeeeeee!

So glad we were able to have positive thoughts and memories of Junie last night. Helps a lot to get to talk about her and share memories. Wish she was still here with us, and also that ALL of you could have met her.

OK....gotta get my butt in gear (or as some of you like to say...gotta get my big white arse moving)!

    Hugsssssssssssssssssssssssssss,

Hi goils-sooooo much to ketchup on. CYN-I have been contemplating getting a new tattoo for the last few months. And guess what I was thinking about-2 pink gloves! Go for it girl.   ORANGE-Love horror movies,Halloween,Exorcist,Amityville and anything Hitchcock. He could make a movie scary by not even showing any blood, brilliant. Good luck on that new job.   DORK-What the heck can I say about the car thing? My brother was the king of crashes back in the day and we always thought it was his fault. I mean how many times could it have been the other guy? But now I see it can happen, you poor girl. I have the poifect transportation for you,if the pic will post.  Love to chat with you all but going to lunch w/king of crashes and our friend. Trying to get out and be more active, feeling pretty stiff today. The first fill was a little painful in my chest/shoulder blade for 3 days. The next fill(yesterday) was not terrible until I tried sleeping. The minute I even thought about leaning back against the pillow my left shoulder blade area ached so badly. I was sitting up trying to sleep but it wasn't working so I finally popped a Tylenol and it worked pretty fast. Been having DH massage the area too, helps for 5 minutes then back to achy. Everyone have a good day, cheers!

    just skimmed through the posts.

NM, you really are clever with the pics you find. Loved the moon pic. Have a nice trip and glad to hear you will have wifi, yippee!

Kathy, sorry you were feeling so bad but glad you got it checked out. Be a good goil and stay off of it. Are you on crutches?

Unde, nice to see you. Thanks for the nice words. Seriously, only the parking garage incident was my fault. And I wish I had the balls to get a tatoo, feel too old for that as they will just shrivel up on my body. I would only get something very petite if I did it at all. My DD has a little flower on her pelvic bone and it only shows when she wears an itsy bitsty teeny tiny bikini but it is cute.  She hid it from me for a few years but I really did not mind.  She also has her naval pierced and it is cute but not for me. My fat would cover it anyway.

Cyn, Kathy is right aobut the hot flashes, they do differ from one to another. I think it is a good sign that you are not sure as I think you would have felt them already if you were going to have them. trying to be optimistic for you.

Lori, I knew you would find that pic of Junie. I can't see her middle finger in that one though, bet it is there. Loved reading your memories of Junie.  Inow recall her moaning when she got rid of the van and had issues peeing in the cup. She was something else, a very specail lady. She knew she did not have long, she told me that when we spoke. I weeped for her that night. Yet she still cracked me up wtih everything she said. I only got to talk to her one time.

Sue, I have a big DorkY hug for you ((((( MEMA SUE))))). I love you and worry about you. I hope you find the reason for not feeling well and find a fix to make you feel better. And can't have you nauseated cuz that interferes wtih dwinking.  Love you so much girl, I think I loved you from the first time you posted here. You are very special, berry funny despite not feeling well and so unique, that is what I love most about you.  I pray that I get to meet you face to face in the future. I would drive up to ten hours to see you girl! Or I could take the car that Unde' posted, lookes like a  fast one, a ufo or sumting.

To the rest of you, know I love and miss you, I just have sooo much to do and am overwhelmed. I can only do one thing at a time but am all over the place with getting work done. i need to focus and do as my sister says, jjust keep moving left to right around the house and yard. I will try to pop in later tonight.  I popped a valium last night, the whole 10 ml and slept so well and got up on time. Things could be worse for me, I am trying to keep everything in perspective.  Gotta roll girls, see you all later. oh, thank you bernie and Julia for all the funny pics and jokes, you girls are awesome too!well you all are, theyis not a goil here that i do not really like! Rock on goils. Cheers!!

Dorkie, I may be wrong, but I think in that pic of Junie, it was the hand holding the beer. Must've gotten cropped sometime ago. How sad that she admitted to you that she did not have long.I refused to hear that when she would talk about things. I know her kids did not know for a long time. I guess I figured if I didn't believe it, then it wouldn't happen?

HI Unde, Glad to see you back on the barstool!

No, no crutches Dork, but just keeping it wrapped up and trying not to stay on it too long. Didn't work though when I took my mom to Walmart and we walked the entire store! Had to get a temp antenna as the cable co will not be out till the 7th. Got them some local channels now and really pretty clear picture...who knew a $10 antenna could do that! I know he misses the phone and computer though, but nothing I can do about that! Everyone around them has secure signals. Go figure...this is a hi-tech town, and they all know to make it secure!

Hope you all are doing well!!! Love and Hugs to all. Chrissy, where are you, girlfriend? And Jaybird, hope you and Avery are doing great.

Good partay last night...is tonight the real Full Moon, and we need to go outside and say "fill'er up" and hold open an empty purse???? I can just picture us all doing that, across the world!

    Hugssssssssssssssssss,

    Kath

A new Priest at his first mass was so nervous he could hardly speak. After mass he asked the Monsignor how he had done.
The Monsignor replied, "When I am worried about getting nervous on the pulpit, I put a glass of vodka next to the water glass. If I start to get nervous, I take a sip."
So next Sunday he took the Monsignor's advice. At the beginning of the sermon, he got nervous and took a drink. He proceeded to talk up a storm.
Upon his return to his office after the mass, he found the following note on the door:

    1) Sip the vodka, don't gulp.
    2) There are 10 commandments, not 12.
    3) There are 12 disciples, not 10.
    4) Jesus was consecrated, not constipated.
    5) Jacob wagered his donkey, he did not bet his ass.
    6) We do not refer to Jesus Christ as the late J.C.
    7) The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not referred to as Daddy, Junior and the Spook.
    8) David slew Goliath; he did not kick the shit out of him.
    9) When David was hit by a rock and was knocked off his donkey, don't say he was stoned off his ass.
    10) We do not refer to the cross as the 'Big T.'
    11) When Jesus broke the bread at the last supper he said, "Take this and eat it for this is my body." He did not say, "Eat me."
    12) The Virgin Mary is not called 'Mary with the Cherry'.
    13) The recommended grace before a meal is not: Rub-A-Dub-Dub thanks for the grub, Yeah God.
    14) Next Sunday there will be a taffy pulling contest at St. Peter's not a peter pulling contest at St. Taffy's.

I have been working feverishly on the house and yard, will try to take before and after shots and share them with you girls. i guess i have to work today since Junie didnot help fill my big bag with money last night while I chanted money money money under de moon light. was singing pink floyd money!!! oh, just remembered that I brought my ipod home to charge it, thanks for making me think of that Junie, I missed it yesterday when it was dead and the charger is home.

OMG, BBBernie....sooooo funnneeeeee! Have fun with your friend....where will you be? I love  Betty White too....I think it was Lori that posted a pic of her before, at the HTL on a lounge chair being fanned by the tenders.

Juliet, Yah, dats a GUD chandelier for our lounge....good one!

Dorothy, Ya gotta slow down, girlfriend. We NEED you here, and don't want ya to get sick. Anyone looking at your house yet? Esp with the mtg rates being so low, should be a good time to buy, right? Shoot, I forgot to go out in the full moon with an empty purse. Now if you get a load of moola, I will be happy for you, but sad that I forgot to do the same thing. LOL. It was such fun remembering our Junie.

Gotta head to the dr.....have a good day everyone!!!

Lara, we are rootin you on for the new job, but how many interviews are there? Oh darn, just read that you were sick, I so sorry hon.

LOL Cyn and the harry bum!

Kathy, your kayak ride sounds awesome, I'm jealous. And I had to laugh when you mentioned getting your big white arse moving. Sue, and then I, said "ever widening"......lol.

Shannon, sorry bout the TE pains, maybe some of the other gals here can offer some advice for you.

Hey Dorkie, I have my belly button pierced! No tats tho.

Kathy, your folks don't have a cell phone? I know no one that has a land line! And I would never have guessed that it would take so long to get internet, or the tv. But they will have it soon enough. I was up several times to go potty last night, and the full moon right there. Beautifuly sky with the moon and clouds and each time would picture everyone holding their purses and shouting "fill er up".

Bernie, have a fun fun weekend girl.

Julie, LOVE the beer bottle chandelier. And I'm pretty sure Junie would too.

Yes Kathy, I did have her in a lounger, then put you in it. Saw it yesterday when I was looking around. Nope, that was Stella.

    Full Moon Cocktail
    1 Orange Slice
    3 oz Orange juice
    1 oz Scotch
    2 oz Vodka

Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with an orange and enjoy!

Good morning, loungettes! I'm having Sadie withdrawal already! I now she is perfectly content at Aunty's with her special treats (the ones that Aunty gave her 4 of before I left while assuring me that she only gets one day--yeah right! ), a wading pool full of cold water, her own towel for drying off the wet paws before walking on the carpet, and an extra pillow on the bed just for her. Aunty assures me Sadie won't be spoiled while she's visiting. Uh, huh. So how come I had so much trouble getting to sleep last night? ?????

Goldie--Lets see, average cost for these tests are
    CRP $18-24
    Prolactin $27 to 36
    Vit B12 $12 to 28
    Folate $20 to 27
    FSH (female) $25 to 35
    Testosterone (female) $36 to 48
    TSH $23 to 31
    T3 $9 to 12
    T4 $9 to 12
    T3 reverse $9 to 12
    Vit D $31 to 45
    Vit D hydroxy $41 to 55

That's a total of $260 to $353 in lab charges. Then whoever took the blood will have a charge for that service. There may be a transportation cost if the blood was taken in the office and sent to a lab, then a fee for a doctor to review/interpret the results. And a charge for getting insurance pre-authorization or checking to be sure the tests are covered. An office charge for general overhead. Some will be added on to cover for patients who cannot pay their bills. Then a fee for filing the bill with the insurance company or reimbursement company that manages the billing and collected the insurance payment. Nah, health care costs aren't crazy at all!

Great pic of Junie and her Miller Light! Wish I could see her fingers. . .

Wahine--Yeah, it IS possble to walk on a broken ankle, I personally know of several elders who walked around on broken hips for days before getting attention. Sometimes I think the long wait in the ER at night isn't any better than calling the doc's office in the ayem. Probably get seen just about a fast, costs a lot less. More comfortable being miserable at home than in the ER, if that makes any sense.

ORLA----Yeah! And you thought you didn't do well!

Cyn Cyn--How drunk does one have to be to not wake up while someone is drawing on one's a$$?????? Yes, Sadie will be just fine, it's me that's going to have a hard time for the next couple of days. Once I'm on the road it will be ok, but being at home without Sadie is HARD!!!!

Wahine--I really can't speak to the snake, thing, since there are no venomous snakes in Maine, and not many that swim. And the few we have rarely get very big. NOT that I like running across one unexpectedly! I think you'll have a grand time!

Undy--Yuck about the achy, stiff stuff after the fill. I hope it clears up quick and is worth it in the end!

DorKable--Finding the right pic is a lot of fun, glad you enjoy it!

BBBBernie--LOL!! Who knew church could be so fun!

Juliet--LOVE your taste in home décor!

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is The Finger
    1 oz Southern Comfort
    1 oz Vodka
    Blue Curacao
    1/2 oz Galliano
    1 oz Orange Juice
    2 oz Lemonade
    1/2 oz Egg White

    Directions
Shake all but the curacao and lemonade very well and strain into a double-cocktail glass. Add lemonade, and garnish with a slice of orange and a cherry. Using a thin straw, place drops of blue curacao in neat rows across the frothy white surface, and serve immediately.

Thanks for the dwink, Orla....yup ankle very sore, turning darker now, but NOT broken, so am thankful for that! Sorry to hear you are sick, hope you get well soonliest!!!

Cute pic of Stella being fanned by Tenders, Lori! My folks have a cell, but the pay-as-you-go type. And he never hears it ring! I like my cell, but mostly to get emails and internet while on the road. I don't always hear it either, cuz its either plugged in, or in another room, etc. I would be lost without my landline. Both my DD's have land lines too, even though DD2 uses her cell mostly.

Yummmmm2 DOTD's.....we can get FRIED really good on Fried-Dey...lets get started!!!

NM, my new puter comes today, and I should be able to hook it up, then will get to see more of your pics. Not many come thru on my netbook, so I miss a lot of them. SO glad Sadie has a wonderful place to be while you are gone. Wish your aunt lived closer! When we are gone, my DD comes to feed, but thats all, so I know they get lonely. At least they have each other though. You'll have a great trip, then Sadie can tell you all that she did, when you reunite! Well.....she may leave out the info about all the snacks she was given! LOL.

My dr appt went well....ultrasound of both legs that had the vein surgery a few mo ago. Yay, it seems to be working well. Now to get some work done here. Ummmmm first maybe a liquid lunch to try out those yummy dwinks....

    Cheerio!

Answering the questions in no particular order:  I leave Sunday, hopefully around 2 pm, depends on how much work I get on Sunday.  Sadie and my Aunt get along just great, and Aunty really needs to have a doggy of her own, but wants to wait until she can sell her current place, get knee surgery done, etc, etc.  Aunty takes good care of Sadie, lot of extra treats but not enough to make her sick.  God does take care of us in so many ways.  I had a year off surgeries and stuff before my DIEP, and I would really recommend doing that again--gives you a chance to plan, get in better shape, and go into a big surgery with a calm mind.

And now I have to head in  to work,  hope to talk to you all tomorrow!

Hi DahhhlinKs!  Doing pop in.  Got so much woik to do for me sons corp.  Gotta get it done today too.  Took one of those naus pills.  Think it helps.  Get treatment on Tues, Onco out of town, but will discuss with PA I hope.

NM - glad Sadie will be well taken care of while you are gone.  I kno what a stresser that is and I miss my pooches terribly when I'm away.  It's a ritual now on the days both DH n I work.  When I come home I have to yank off my glasses, earrings, bluetooth, necklace (anything their widdle paws wud get tangled in) then sit down on couch and let them 'LICK, LICK, LICK'.  We call it 'getting in position' (mind outta da gutter goils)!!!

Orla - u poor thing...all these interviews for a job, worry about insurance, and now u sick n been to da doc for fluid drain...  (((Lara))) hope you feel better soonliest.

WaWa - good news bout the legs and glad dey didn't hoit dat ankle while running those tests.

Lori - I recently had a ton of blood woik, checked vit levels too...was sumpin like $800....That was thru my PC doc...when I get labs at onco for wbc n rbc n tumor markers n such, think they call it CBC, it's only $310.  Big diff and for urs to cost that much...hollymolly...dat wud piss me off!

All the rest of my bweasties...BIG HUGZ N LOTS OF LUBZ!!  Laters!

Called their ins co in HI and the girl (who grew up there) was actually born in AL.....go figure! Even though the internet is not being hooked up till Tues, my dad was happy to learn he can still do solitaire. HE didn't believe me when I said he could still do that without being online. OH, I feel so tech-savvy next to them! Got my new puter hooked up, and will be so nice seeing a big screen again. Yay!!!

Hope you all are dwinking and partaying big time! I'm swimming up to the bar, and of course, HERE I have an absolutely purrfect bikini bod....LOL.

Good evening, Loungettes! I MISS MY SADIE!!!!! This is pathetic, I'm a grown woman and I WANT MY PUPPY DOG!!!

Mema--Sadie and I have a ritual, too, whenever I come home she sniffs me all over while I try to remember the names of all the dogs, cats, etc that I've met through the day. The she gets ear scratches, tummy tickles, rump roasts, and a game of fetch, usually with one of my shoes!

CynCyn--there is a business center, so I will check in, if only briefly, while I'm in Beantown.

Wahine--not partying much right now, too muchly humid! I'm sitting here sweating and contemplating shower #3. . . .
