DorKable--I did need a debriefing, and thankfully our Chaplain is very good at that. I also went to his funeral yesterday. The family still thinks I'm the wicked witch of the west, but several of his friends sought me out to give their thanks for my work. I feel much better now, although I will always regret that I couldn't prevent the choking episode, but I also did the best possible given the situation. On the other side, I admitted a new patient on to my case load yesterday who is a delightful lady with a wonderful family that's going to be a joy to work with. So things are looking better! Thanks for the prayers and hugs, greatly appreciated.
BBBBernie--The nipples in the coffee/oatmeal story was so funny, and we got to talking about breasts moving south at work yesterday ayem, I had to tell your story, it got a HUGE laugh!

Just a quick pop in from Beijing, to say Nin Hao! (THats hello in Chinese!). Miss all you girls here, been on tours every day from early ayem till after Happy Hour time. The best thing ever was hiking up the Great Wall. It is very cold and windy though, and you should see the looks and reactions I am getting, when I am barefoot (fit-flops)...they can't believe my feet aren't cold. BUt with the probs I get on my toenails from long flights, it is better to stay out of my shoes. One nail is already turning color. My camera memory card was tooo big for my camera, but I didn't know that, and thought something was wrong with it, so bought a bigger one. Well, THEN I wrote my DD and found out my camera needs no bigger than a 2GB memory. Think I could find that here? Nooooooo. I could kick myself for not bringing the one that was in my camera and had some pics on it. Sheesh! So, I didn't have anything for the entire first days tour, but since then have used my phone camera. HOPING the pics will turn out and have good resolution!
You girls have been keeping things going, and that is awesome! NM, so sad to hear about losing your pt, and how things ended up. Glad you have a new pt that has a nice family!

Good morning girls! Happy Thanksgiving to everybody. I want everybody to know just how thankful I am to have all of you in my life. I could not have gotten through this journey without you. All of you have been an inspiration and have kept me laughing when I wanted to cry. I am remembering, too, those we have lost and sorely miss, I said a special prayer for them this morning. I keep you all in my prayers and close to my fart everyday. I just had to lighten up…heehee.

Kathy Big, Huge, bummer about the camera. I remember a similar thing with my daughter on her for first trip to Italy. They left their cameras in a taxicab and never did recover em, all their pictures gone. So we’ll just hope that the phone camera works. I am happy you’re not wearing shoes. Wanted you all to know that I had a MUGA scan while in Las Vegas and of course my Herceptin treatment. Will not see the doctor again until December 11 will get the results then. Of course, if it looks bad they will call me, so as usual no news is good news.

Thank you all for your consern. A little update,
My left wrist is fractured..its clean and will heal..Im keeping it in a brace and it will be ok. My chest is still sore but the ER said just contusion...so Im bruised there probably from the airbag and the seat belt..thank God for both of them. My car is a total loss. I am back to work and am having a hella time getting caught up with you all but am doing my best.

Lori, I ditto what you said about all the prayers, you were so sweet to remember everyone, and that was very touching. Looks like the inflatable chapel is busting out at the seams, but nice to see us all in there praying for everyone.
Oops, gotta clarify....Sue, I didn't even wear shoes on the plane, just wore them from hotel to after we boarded the plane...had rx compression hose on, and just put socks over that, as those airplane toilets get NASTY on those long (13 hr) flights! Then I throw the socks away! And Cyn, on the Great Wall, I did wear hiking shoes....only time I kept shoes on while here! Glad I did, as part of it was quite steep, you're leaning way over, going up, and going down is another story! So I just don't get why my toenails get so much pressure from long flights....started it 2-3 yrs ago. Thought the vein surgery for reflux would have helped that? But the vein dr didn't think it would, but it has helped my legs. No one can figure out why it happens, but it is also very painful and I hope I don't lose the nails, yet again.

Hi girls, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We just got home, had a great time with my family. I had to laugh, the first thing my Dad said to me is that my boobs are level lol. He has seen me since my surgery but I guess he is just noticing. I took it as a high compliment coming from my Dad. My oldest sister and I took a nice walk on the beach, it was great. The stars were bright and the wind was very light with mild temps for this time of year. My sister had invited DH so of course he was there too. We actually got along quite well today. I hope you all had as nice of a day as I did.
Cyn, sorry you have to work, I hope they pay extra for you working the holiday. Sorry about your car, may it RIP. I am so thankful that you were not hurt more, could have been much worse. You can borrow my car if you'd like. I hope you are able to find a new set of affordable wheels. Dork I set it back a long time ago--in fact every year I don't know why the Dr. wants me to loose weight -I told them their scale is way off.
And u'r post was making some wet stuff in mine eyes-I'm not used to that--never get wet eyes. but u said such lovely things to the gals--and I agree with everything u said a great group
and u, u are so much fun I always have a good time with u--u brighten everyones days and some nights when u'r awake--It is my pleasure to know u and u've gone thru this crap like it was no bi deal--but now that u have such perky foobs--haha those hunks in de lounge won't even bother with me so give me u'r cast offs and I will well I can't say that--well if his name is Jack that will work out fine.
