Good morning, Loungettes! Meese got stuck in my own driveway yesterday ayem.  Lots of rocking and pushing and shoveling and I still didn't get out until my neighbor came by and helped me out.  Now I am so very sore in places I didn't exptect--like my pects and backs of my arms.  On top of that I've caught a cold.  So this weekend is going to be a couch potato, lazy, drinking lots of fluids weekend.  And probably lots of tylenol.  Oh, well, welcome to winter in Maine!

CynCyn--Certainly sounds like you have a ghost!  How old is the building you live in?  Is there any good history in the area?  Changing the locks, or at least one of them might be a good idea, if the mysterious door lockings and openings stop you'll know it was a real person, if not, you'll know for sure it's a ghost.  Sounds like the ghost isn't a problem, anyway.  If you change locks you should do it yourself, to be sure you know exactly who has keys.  On the other had, if it's not a problem you can just enjoy the pranks!  Hmmm, ORLA does have a point, if it is a real person it would be good to know and deal with it.  Maybe with a web cam you can get some good footage for one of the ghost shows on TV!

Cammy--keep in mind that your doctor works FOR YOU, you PAY him, it doesn't matter what she thinks about you.  She needs to do her job. 

DorKable--you should be putting something like some gauze into the hole to make sure it doesn't seal over and create an abcess.  These things need to heal from the inside out.  If it's hard to get a q-tip in there you need to be especially careful to keep it open, and twice as careful while you are using peroxide.  That gas will build up in there and needs a way out or it will make a way out.  Usually it forces it way out where the original hole was if it seals over, but it can force it's way out by making a new hole.  Oh, wait, I just re-read your post, sounds like the hole is not a small one like I was thinking.  Yes, put some gauze in the middle.  Tape it to the skin above the hole if you are afraid of it falling in.  Even if it does you can still get it out with the Q-tip.  Hang in there DorKy!

Cammy--there is nothing wrong with checking out your docs.  You check out contractors, plumbers, carpenters, car mechanics, etc, it's even more important to check out your docs.  If a doc minds that you checked him or her out, he or she is probably one you don't want on your team.  Remember, they work for YOU, not the other way around. 

DorKable--Yikes, your mom will need to be careful, falls like that can be dangerous.  You dad is wise to admit he needs help.  It's hard when you parents need help, I know.  Glad you get to see Kathy soon!  Yeah! 

Mema--Good idea about the dog!  I've got this doggy toy that Sadie doesn't play with, it's round and it makes noises (barks, moos, etc) whenever it's moved.  CynCyn could always leave it behind one of the doors to make noise when the door is opened!  Might scare off an intruder who really doesn't belong there!

Chrissy--well, getting excited and talking is better than some of the things people do when excited.  And I enjoy DorKable's rambles, they are very entertaining!

Princess Gltter Sizzle's DOTD is the Good for What Ails You

• 1 cup orange juice
• 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger rum
• 1 egg

• 6 ice cubes

• 2 orange slices for garnish

• 2 maraschino cherries for garnish

Pour the orange juice and rum into a blender. Mix in the egg and pulse until smooth. Add the ice cubes and blend. Divide the mixture between two tall glasses and garnish each drink with orange slices and maraschino cherries.

WOW I missed soooo many posts, been reading for an hr trying to ketchup. But of course I forgot the comments I was going to make waaaaay back. BUT the biggest GOOD news is all our praying worked, and our Lynda doesn't qualify for hospice...yaaaaaaaay....time for the Doxil. to work. Hate the SE's, but our NM said that means its working. SO glad for you Lynda, and we NEVER give up, no towels here to throw in, either. So, you are stuck with us, and I am SO glad we are stuck with you too!!!! Won't ever let you unstick from us!!! Good advice from NM, and I hope and pray you will feel better soonliest!

I am so sad for Dotty's parents....hope the blood clot dissolves, and that they keep her from falling, and a good place can be found that will take good care for her. Your dad deserves a medal, for all he has done, and I know it was hard for him to admit he can't do it anymore. What a dear, I hope his health is ok too, as he needs to keep himself well too.

NM, did you take the zicam? I think it really helped me, just have a headache now and still a bit achey, but that is also prolly from NOT sleeping the night before our trip and running crazy that day...so was worn out from that too.

It is SNOWING....ground is already covered. Last night I nearly lost it....was tired from all day traveling (about 5 hr layover in Atlanta cuz all flts were overbooked, so we gave up our 1st class seats and had to be in coach on next flt, but dats ok, now we have travel vouchers for the future). So it was dark when arrived at hotel...I forget....8 pm or so....so went to car to bring stuff out, stepped off of curb, and it was SOLID ICE. I slipped for a foot and a half or so, but DIDN'T FALL....how I stayed upright I will never know! I told them in office here, and the guy was going to salt the areas, then said "Oh well, its going to snow tomorrow", so don't know if he thought that meant he shouldn't salt it or what. I hope no one fell.

Oh Dorkie, I know your state is beautiful! It does look awful from the airport though....we did drive thru the ghettos....but have a brand new rental car, so it didn't break down...lol. Will be nice to see nicer areas today....and someday I will have to come up just to see you and then can stay with you and see your beautiful town!!! It was fun talking last night, but I can talk a lot too...would be prolly funny to tape our converstations....I bet we will BOTH be talking over ea other! I gotta get rid of this headache so I can keep up with you, but if not, I will have 1 dwink to your 2-3 dwinks, and we will be jest fine!!! LOL. But I worry about your parents so much, please update us, ok?

Cyn, I like the ideas of having a video taken, with your computer, or hidden camera. I also wonder if management might have keys avail to workers? Could it be their son, or maintenance person? Also, don't forget to look up the history at library, old papers, and see if someone died there. Maybe management knows something, but is trying to keep it hush-hush, if it IS a ghost. BUt if someone is coming in, I would sure want to know!

Hugs all....DH has been sleeping all morning. If we didn't have the wakeup call for bkfst I could have slept much longer. But once I am up, I can't nap....mind just races.
