Just wanted to ask about your Warner Bra's.... do they hook in front? I can't reach around to fasten my own bra's in back, so I've been using the hook front ones!
I don't like the under-wire ones either.... And one side is smaller than the other side.... guess I'll go back to stuffing with kleenex?

DD just wrote, and said "Nutri-bullet is on it's way! Happy Mother's Day!" I can hardly wait!

Oh Chevy how sweet--- did she mean the nutra bullet blender thing or did she mean anything like that new machine gun called nutra bullit? Which sounds more like u.
U mean my whole life I've put a bra on wrong--before-- I'd clip it in the back but it was turned to the front then I'd turn it around and put my arms in the loopy things and fix my boobs in.
Rita enjoy u'r golf.

cami. That's the way my mom taught me to put my bra on many years ago and I never did any different. But I am kind of a joke to my friends. Mom was a dancer in the circus and had many quick changes. It was the way all the girls did there.

Hi mimi, how did the balloon class go? I thought too u might be going up in one. After all u are adventurous that's for sure.

Cammi! You put your bra on backwards! The cups go in the front now-a-days!
Yes, you mean you fastened the hooks in the front, then SLID that whole bra around to put the cups in the front! But that's how I used to do it! Now, it is just to much moving around...Ha! It makes me tired...
And so then now we adjust our boobs to fit in the cups...! Like rolling them up!
But I've SEEN women put their bra on, then with their 6 foot long arms, reach around and fasten them in the back! Not going to happen.
Morning Mimi! Talk to you gals later! xoxoxo

Do we spread loving kindness? There are many who say that
this is our ultimate goal on this planet--to spread loving kindness
to our fellow human beings. And when we are able to accomplish
this goal, we find that our lives are transformed in the process.
We're no longer so strongly focused on things and negative
thoughts and feelings, but we've become truly happy,
content human beings who love life and living.

Chevy....I am not sure if they have front hook bras. I would think they have some that are similar if not the same as we were talking about. these bras are comfortable and they do not rub on the scar I have yet they lift up and keep the sides from hanging over the bra. I also have one boob smaller than the other due to the lumpecatomy. We have a place in a close town that has items you can buy that adheres to your skin to fill out your bras and bathing suits. Have not been there yet though.
We are having a beautiful day here. Cleaned out and vaccumed my car and cleaned the window. Hopefully, they are not streaked. Tomorrow we go to ds and dil house for dinner( they did not come in for easter dinner due to church and ds having to work) with the rest of the family in this area. They invited everyone there after my other dil called and talked to them about not having everyone together for the holidays and they should make more of an effort to have all of their children getting together. "This may make for a real interesting day." DH and I are going earlier in the day so we can watch our two grandsons play soccer. Bought a hanging plant and will make either cupcakes or brownies to take with us.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Termit sounds like a great day u'll have tomorrow, ahhhh make brownies, they're easier to lug around. Enjoy

Love the button! It's never a good day to wear a bra if you can get away with it.
I never knew people put their bras on differently than I did. (Turn bra upside down inside out with hooks in front, twist around so cups are now in front, flip cups up, slip arms through.) How do people do it by hooking them in back? My arms didn't grow long enough to do that.
This is the first day of relaxation after coming home from Chicago. As soon as we got back, I had to start bowel prep for a colonoscopy. Having to exist on chicken broth after a week of feasting in Chicago was hard, but that night when I had to start drinking a gallon of Golightly and take Dulcolax made me long for that chicken broth. The next morning I found myself in the familiar pre-op area at the hospital with an IV, heart monitor, oxygen, and various tubes and lines attached here and there. (Gee, didn't I do this last month too?) At least this time nobody chopped me up. I had 3 anesthesiologists even though they usually don't even have one for colonoscopies. But with my weird history, they need to be prepared for complications. (Once your records show your heart has stopped during a procedure, they get all excited and worried from then on.) In spite of some bradycardia (which always happens once or twice) it was uneventful. There's a bit of diverticulosis to watch, but that's all. They also did an endoscopy and the top half of me is ok too. They must have had some difficulty getting the tube down my throat because it's swollen and raw in one spot particularly. Today it's back to sausage and eggs and hot tea.
I saw my plastic surgeon on Thursday and he is pleased with the healing I've done in the month since my last surgery. We talked about the remaining reconstruction and agreed on early June for surgery #5 - the LAST one. I do not want any cosmetic procedures. nipples or tattoos. The infection after the first surgery left me with a mess but rather than do it all at once, he said it was safer to split up the repairs. I told him, "Just finish putting me back together the best you can and let's call it good enough." So fingers crossed, he will be able to do ALL the remaining things on the list in one surgery.

Hooray for good test results Sandra and hoping that you can all you need done in that last surgery. I think I put my bra on pretty much like you do. I've always had issues with putting it on the normal way and when I had my stroke....the physical therapy instructor taught me to snap it and them twist it around to where it should be. Been doing it that way since and saves me lots of time, energy, and more important a aback breaking amt. of frustration.
I'm glad that the anesthesiologists are concerned and come out in droves for you. This is after all your side of heaven right now.
Will go to work soon and don't mind a bit. I didn't do all I wanted to today, but I'll get back to it tomorrow. Big storms coming -- doesn't sound like too much fun, but no choices about it. It is TRUE spring weather.
Talk to you all later.
Blessings,
Jackie

Sandra I'm glad it's over and u came out well. Oh 1 more surgery and that better be the last and u'r all done. What a time having all these surgeries and tests--it's a PITA but necessary according to them.
Onward and upward. LOL literally.

I have long arms and put my bra on the regular, boring way. I can take it off without removing my blouse if I'm wearing short sleeves. That's usually the first thing I do when I get home. Off with the bra! Unhook the back, slip the straps off down my arms. That's all there is to it.
I put in a couple of hours of yard work this morning and got soaking wet with perspiration. I remember when I used to work 5 or 6 hours doing gardening but I don't have that kind of stamina now.
Sandra, good news that your colonoscopy didn't reveal any serious problems.
Termite, I hope your family get-together is lots of fun.
Best wishes to all.

Hum.....I am sitting here chuckling over the bra issue. I guess I never thought much about what I do to get on my bra. As I'm reading, I'm thinking, "Do I turn mine over when I put it on or....." Ha! I also love that button. Hey, isn't that the truth?
What a gorgeous day! I played in a Ladies Earlybird golf outing scramble today and we had a ball! I love being outside on days like this!
My daffodils are in full bloom and I cut enough to make a lovely bouquet, which is now brightening up my kitchen counter! We also have a pink tulip tree outside my office window that is really beautiful! I think the blue bells (could this be the same plant that some of you call blue bonnets????) will be in full bloom this next week. They turn our woods into a lovely blue carpet.
Sandra...so glad the results were good! Great news!
Well all that exercise and fresh air has tired me out today so I'm making a cup of hot tea and grabbing my book. I'm reading "Accused" by Lisa Scottoline and it's been hard to put down. I just have to know what happens next!
Everyone have a nice Sunday!

Oh Rita u'r flowers sound like they're doing well, we don't have any yet, but something should be blooming soon, I would think. And glad u got out today, I now u and Carole really enjoy that so good for you. I like Lisa Scottoline and aren't; they true stories?

Hi All,
I wear a hook down the front bra. But of course I do no fill one cup out, but I do not really care. When I was having mamosite radiation I wore a button down shirt and a front hook sport bra. There was a lady who had it about the same time as me and she had to change into a gown every time. They do a cat scan before each radiation and it is done twice a day for 7 days. Finally the lady who had to put the gown on asked why I did not and they told her why. It made it a lot simpler.
Spent the day in the broom shop helping out. DH had bought a 1983 toyota motor home. We have had two in the past and loved them. So he was helping with a friend getting it to purr. We hope to take it to Florida so we do not have to spend money on hotels and food. We shall see.
Well we drove to El Paso on Thursday and signed the paper work for the truck. They totaled it and there was enough money to pay it off. But they took another $1,000 deductible, when claims manager gets back from vacation, will look into that. I worked in insurance for 30 years and they are their own worst enemy.
Hope everyone has a good night and a Blessed Sunday

hi all am catching up.
I also never thought much about the bra - except I take mine off like Carol - without undressing. The other day I put it in my pocketbook on the stairs to take up later. I forgot and next day it went to work with me. I put it in the car console and forgot - still there. AAo t DH be surprised if he finds it loose in my car. LOL
Today it rained a d I had to can el my geology class field trip. I have another scheduled Sunday afternoon - should be a perfect day. I got hair cut and touch up on my new highlights. It came out nice. Looks natural so nobody really notices.
No flowers except forsythia. Neighbors have daffodils but deer eat all in my yard except purple. The destroyed rhodedndron so only a few buds left. I bought hanging self watering wicker style flower boxes which i will plant in a few weeks. Hope the deer cant reach. I want to order more for herbs and cherry tomatoes.
DH hot a fidd on mower today. No more sons around to help mow. We cleared some woods last May and yard is bigger. And we are older.
I went yo ghe outlet cdnter tody with some gift cards only go learn they had little value. After s yesr they deduct a monthly fee until the card has no value. I had no idea. I wont buy those again.
Mimi so sorry to hear a out the sad loss of your brother.
Wishing you a. Happy Sunday.

Hey, I'm as talented as Carol. Fasten it in the back (with short arms) and can remove it without taking off my shirt if it has short sleeves. Long sleeves I have to take off. Finally I have found my one true talent.

Wren good for you YYYAAAYYYYY I'l give u a
for that.0 -
So glad Monmarch weighed in with the front hooks. Seems like I always wore front closure bras but I so remember when I was 20 wearing the conventional kind - and hitching it in the back like Carole. I changed to front hooks as soon as I discovered them.
Driving to Lake Conroe tomorrow to have Sunday brunch at the country club with an old friend. It should be just over an hour and it will be my second test trip.

I learned many new balloon designs today. Also new ways to tace a bra. Now that we have that topic covered I have a new question. I'm sure there are many answers. When taking a shower do you typically stand facing the shower head or with your back to it. Enter from close to the fixture or from the far end. We asked this at work years ago and got all sorts of replies. Happy Sunday all. I'm driving five hours home in the rain. But a beautiful drive along the Mississippi.

Rita, I saw lots of bluebells when I was in Chicago. They are so delicate and tiny. Texas bluebonnets are bigger and shaped differently like this.
0 -
OK Texas has everything bigger, we get it. LOL
Mimi, hmmm--I enter from the back but face forward to wash my face first and get my hair wet with clear water then I turn around to wash my hair first----I think, but I do feel the water first with my hand and usually someone will purposely flush a toilet around that time or wash clothes.

Oh Mimi! I would just plain DROWN if I faced the shower! It's on my back, and I hold my head back to wash my hair... just so it doesn't go down my face... I wash my face before I get in the shower.. We have this rubber-like fancy bath-mat, with "little fingers" on it, so you can wash the bottom of your feet, without bending over all that way to do it...ha!
Planted all my greens today! Even threw in some saved tomato seeds into large posts... I have 4 big tomato plants that get covered every night, because of this changeable weather... I know.... it's too early.... but I'm just anxious.
I have lots of shallow planters with different lettuces planted in them... And up off the ground, so the squirrels won't think they have a regular buffet out there... Along with all the other dirt-crawling creatures & birds. I DO have 3 bird-baths around, but that's all they get... I hope...

Karma is simply the law of cause and effect. If you plant an
apple seed, you don’t a get a mango tree. If we practice hatred or greed, it
becomes our way and the world responds accordingly. If we practice awareness
or loving-kindness, it becomes our way and the world responds accordingly. We
are heirs to the results of our actions, to the intentions we bring to every
moment we initiate. We make ripples upon the ocean of the universe through
our very presence.

Joan, I heard about those gift card things. Not totally sure why they do that, but my suspicious mind feels like it is a way to make the consumer a loser. Also, if that is the rule and they can after a time 'start' keeping the price paid for the card -- they are ahead and didn't have to do anything but wait for that little piece of magic to start taking place. So.....I'm not all the nice -- generally think so much is about how can we make more without looking as ruthless and greedy as we really are. Sigh !!! We never quite know what those "nice" people are reaaaaalllly thinking do we.
Ah...taking a shower. Well, I go in from what I consider the back shower door.....the end that has the little built in seat.....that I'm pretty sure no one ever sits on....though I do prop up my legs there one at a time to scrub my feet. I stand forward facing the spray till I'm sure the temp is good.......then turn around and begin my hair washing event. Then when that is done......I was my ears first......want to get out any soap and water that might still be there from washing my hair. I use liquid bath soap.......
The dermatologist I use to take one of my clients too highly recommended Dove. in the shower and for liquid soap he said Dove with Nutrium in it. So, I keep Dove in bar soap to use in my half bath and the liquid in the shower.
So, back to my shower. Once I am done with my head and ears.....I soap up a wash cloth really full with lots of soap and do my face, then run the cloth over essentially my whole body. I do a quick rinse, turning from front to back to front again..............and then I do the private parts much better. Then, I do my feet.
I also keep Johnson's baby lotion to put on my feet after I'm done with my shower.
I'm going to have to go check, but it seems to me ( which is why I think I started doing it that way ) that I read somewhere that your face should be washed after you have washed your hair............hmmm, another little tid-bit turns up, eh ???
For a long time we had one of those shower heads that was round and it was like standing outside in the rain when you were under it........but after having to replace it a couple of times I realized that the first one was the best one, and the other two just didn't give you the same "feel" so we went back to the more standard kind. So many choices in this world huh !!!! So many interesting questions about soap and shower-heads and how you take a shower. Sort of fun too.
I hope you are all going to have a pretty Sunday.......we are due ( if weatherman is right and I bet he is )to have some serious rain storms....possible hail, maybe some tornado activity. We will see.....not till afternoon today......so as it is only 9:30 a.m. where I am here in southern ( just at its beginning tip )Illinois we shall see. Sounds like there are similar issues in many of the surrounding states. Fingers crossed as usual for this time of yr.
Blessings

Interesting shower question. I enter from the back. Wash hair first, then face. Back to shower to do my front and reverse for back. Our sink cabinet is right up next to the tub, so entering at the front would spray the whole room. It's a very tiny 1946 bathroom.

Aha some answers coming. In addition to the shower question....I would love to know what kind of soap you use and if you use bar and liquid soap. I've gone back to Dove, but really, really like Caress.
I really like the peachy smell, but though I haven't checked....I doubt it is as kind to the skin as Dove seems to be. I do like to be able to smell the soap as I'm bathing/showering.
