Great pic Bedo! And yes DS has lost his computer privileges. Hope lefty is ok and keep us posted.
Carol- Glad your appointment and dinner turned out great

Every night I stay up too late.....Lacey I know you do too!

Bedo adorable.
Laurue. Ah yes. The computer not letting go. Many times. I'd say it gets better, but my DDIL tells me he still plays too long! LOL
Carol glad your tests were ok.
My port flush and mag test were ok..2nd time now so 3 months without Mag infusion! Yay. Still on 4 mag pills a day though. Will have to wait a while to stop those. LOL BP was 110 over 59. I let them take it on my R arm because my leg was not giving good ones any more. And they won't be able to use it anymore anyway with a knee replacement.
Everyone loved the salad. There was a lot of food at our Arthritis Aqua class Pot luck at the Teachers house. All of it was good. One of the hits was simple. Grape dipped on the bottom in melted white choc with peanuts and set up. Yum! Way better than it sounds!
Much love to all.

Laurie, just to prove you were right in outing me for night owl habits, here I am posting when I should be snoring!
Very busy day with a few events with my volunteer grp and my former school colleagues. Way too much relational stimulation for me!! Managed not to eat myself silly, (food at both places was pretty unremarkable) ! So hopefully my MO appt this afternoon will reflect the same record loss I saw today on the scale. (Carole, of course you should trust your scale when it's kind!) So, I'm thinking, wouldn't it be great if MO says, "Of course you are fine to stay off meds since you are removing so many fat cells" Hahahahaha!
I love that Laurie's salsa chicken is still making the rounds! And it is great that you can hang out at the lakefront cottage....with boat, ta boot! Cool! Now you just need some serious sunshine to warm up that water!
Carole, yay on the US results!
Moon, knew they'd love that salad!
Cute pic, Bedo!
I'd better get to sleep since I need to have at least a partial brain to deal 1) with the functional meds clinician who has me dairy deprived and I plan to change that, and 2) the MO who will try her hardest to convince me to take the AI (yay for you Carole, your AI time is almost up, isn't it? Hope you don't need the ten year protocol!) and I plan to stay rogue, despite the fact that I think she is a wonderful, sensible doc.
'Night all.......

I dropped my wallet last night and didn't notice that until I got home...20 minutes...
2 fraudulent charges were made on the company credit card in those 20 minutes.
They did not even hesitate a moment before using the cards.
Is it OK to wish BC on the person who did that?

Crims are quick this day Eric - wow ! 20 minutes. I think they deserve everything they get. What happened to human kindness ??

eric. I hope that was the only credit card in there. Because we already know they are using them. Dang. Now you got to change your credit cards, your med cards, put a hold on your bank stuff. Oh boy. Good luck. Some people suck.

Eric, what a bummer. We hate to realize we're living in a world with dishonest people all around us.
Played golf at 8:10 and got soaking wet with perspiration. Had lunch afterwards with my women golfer friends and ordered a grilled blackened salmon sandwich. It was so tasty, the salmon cooked just right. Not overcooked.
Tonight we're having dinner at the same club, different dining room. DH gets a free entrée because June is his birthday month. We're meeting another couple and the man will also be using his free birthday entrée. Nice not to have to cook tonight.

eric - maybe.....

eric - why not? But I think I'm meaner than most of you. Or I've just haven't re-gained my patience with idiots since treatment. Wonder if I'll become 'kinder & gentler' again?
My friend has grown 6 kinds of tomatoes so I got 9 or 10 samples today. I'm supposed to report back like a food critic. I'm so excited - tomatoes for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Our weather is so hot that the fruit production will be finished in another two weeks.

Eric I hate mean people. I hope they catch them.
Laurie, I am so jealous of your lake house. I have always wanted to see that lake
Minus Tomatoes! I love them. Have 4 kinds in the garden. Also tried fresh eggs, what a difference.
Yay Moon! No infusions!
Carol, glad you are A-OK
I cut the cable cord. kind of. Verizon finally admitted that they had a $14/month plan with NBC, ABC, CBS Fox and about 10 other channels Whoo Hoo.
So I celebrated by buying some really cute clothes.
Just in time. I have a date this weekend. Don't get too excited, I'm kind of like being single as well as being part of a couple. I know, big weirdo. We'll see.
And am walking 2 miles a day.
I can't wait to make gazpacho. I love it.
For dinner, I think homemade hummus and Triscuits, (sp?) the tomato and basil ones. And a glass of cool water with spearmint leaves from the garden.
Sorry if I missed anyone
Every day I try to do 2 out of 3. Garden, hike, play fiddle.
Garden is an easy win

Bedo - so glad that you're back. Walking 2 miles a day is wonderful. I like the dill Triscuits. Good luck w/the date. I'm going to a concert w/my SIL. I'll be interested to hear how the "new" Verizon TV plan works out. I cut the cable cord some time ago & never replaced, so it's been news on line for me.
Tonight's dinner was one tomato, a bowl of leftover green peas, one King's roll w/leftover chicken salad w/cranberries. Dessert will be popcorn in a couple of hours.

Hello all,
I am asking for all of your prayers please. My SO's son who is 15 has been hospitalized all week. Went in with a high fever and very bad sinus infection that had turned into Ocular Celulitis complicated by Meningitis. Had Surgery to drain sinus and eye, had begun to look and feel better except for headache.Original Ct SCAN showed an area of concern behind frontal sinus and it was hoped that antib's would resolve. Follow up MRI revealed that area is infection that spread behind the frontal sinus and has created a brain abscess, still same size as CT scan showed. It is encapsulated, but he may now requires brain surgery. They are adding a 4th antibiotic in the hope that it may still resolve. Surgery is going to be Sunday or Monday if no signs of resolution.
Thank you,
Vivian

Sending healing thoughts to your family, Vivian.
Wow, Eric, what a pain! I'm just shocked that the "finder/keeper" didn't give you at least 24 hours to inactivate the card....;). Not! I really do hate that this annoying inconvenience (we went through it last year) as well as some other more terrible, frightening behaviors/events are so much a part of our culture these days.
. Guess that's why someone returning the wallet makes the evening news!0 -
vivian. You are all in my prayers. It's not right....

Vivian, hoping for a good outcome. Keep us posted.
Yesterday was a foodie's delight for me. My lunch after golf was a grilled blackened salmon sandwich with tartar sauce. I think I have already given a drooling account of how perfect the salmon was. Then my dinner choice at our club's nice dining room last night was duck, something I have never ordered. It was a half duck in a dark sauce and couldn't have tasted more delicious. The side was two small cannelloni with goat cheese stuffing. My mouth waters as I recall it!
Plus good company and a Grey Goose on the rocks and two glasses of chardonnay.
This morning I'm off to pick blueberries with my cousin at her ex's house. My middle sister is in town to celebrate dh's birthday tomorrow at my mother's house so she'll be in on the picking.
Happy Saturday.

Nancy - seeing Twitter pics of damage in St. Peters. Hope you are safe. Looks like very stormy in NW Tenn and Ark. We are forecast to get some tomorrow or Monday more likely.
Made an absolutely disgusting jello salad - disgusting only in calorie content. Strawberry-lemonade jello, pineapple, buttermilk, walnuts and buttermilk. Used up some things that had been hanging around. Will go good with leftover spaghetti watching car racing tonight.

Carole....Yummmm on your foodies delight day!
Hope everyone stays safe with the crazy weather. Here it is beautiful and warmer day for a change!
Tonight (like any minute now!) we'll have lamejun I picked up from an ethnic store after my haircut, along with raw veggies and hummus and baba ganoush, and a cuke salad with red peppers and scallions.

Tonight is baby red potato salad with dill, steamed broccoli, and black peppered pork tenderloin - will eat while watching baseball. DH is not feeling very chipper and running a low fever - highly unusual for him. Played with the dog in the pool earlier, but it has been a quiet day. Had thought I would go to the grocery store, but it didn't seem to happen...

Hope the weather treats everyone ok.
Had an Asian wrap. DH didn't get home til this afternoon. So didn't know if he was gonna come home at all. LOL

Hello all and thank you for prayers,
Surgery has been scheduled for Monday 7 am. I'll update you all on Monday.
As much as we all have been through and all of the surgeries I've read about here, I was scared to hear what the neurosurgeons had to say. So clinical almost like robots.
Thank you again and please keep them coming especially Monday.

Will be thinking of you and your family Viv.
Luv, the bad storms missed us -- thanks for asking. We really didn't even get much rain out of the whole thing.
Tonight was DS's belated birthday dinner. I fixed ribeye steak skewers with crimini mushrooms and red onion, a cheese soufflé, Caesar salad, rolls with homemade butter and a four layer chocolate cake with mocha cream filling covered with ganache. Oh yeah, and homemade vanilla bean ice cream. I've made scones for breakfast and I'll fix a frittata to go along with it. DH and I will probably have salads for dinner after the kids leave. We're stuffed.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

Vivian still keeping you and your family in my prayers
Yesterday was "Mussels Saturday". Every week for the last 2 years a friend and I have gone to the same restaurant for the same thing. Mussels, Naan, Vegetarian appetizer platter and Blue Moon Ale with slice of orange. They know us there and even add, "mussels not too spicy with extra sauce and an extra order of naan, correct?" Sometimes it's" Mussels Monday" or "Tuesday". Just a wild a crazy pair. We know what we like.

Nance, stuffed indeed!!! And maybe exhausted?? That veritable feast had to take some major effort.....impressive! DH is a lucky guy!
Keeping your family in my thoughts and heart, Viv.
Hope everyone can enjoy some decent weather today......
Debbie, wondering when you and DH are taking to the road......
