RUN CHARLIE RUN!!!!!!!' It's a start, now we just need to get rid of King Ricky

Chevy, it's the cast iron skillet that makes everything good, including DHs.  When we got married mom asked me about a wedding gift. I wanted HER skillet, but knew enough not to say that! So she got me a new one, seasoned it for me, still have it!

Okay 22222222ndT!  Thanks.... I sent it to myself, and I'l try it again!  I USED to mix eggs and milk, and do it like they do at Chili's.... but for some reason, we quit eating those steaks!  DH just likes his plain.... But I like mine just the way they show it.   And did you see that gravy?  I just could make a meal out of gravy and mashed potatoes...

Yes Spookie!  I had my Grandma's and my Mom's cast iron skillets, and have given a couple away.... but I still have the one with the wooden handle.... and I love it!  But try browning plain old flour.... and storing it in a jar....  it gives gravy such a rich taste!

Why am I not understand what you said?  Charlie who?  And then Ricky?  I'm baffled.

thanks Susan, I'm in the SW part of the state, a half-tank of gas to Chicago & back. Would love to meet sometime.  Have you been to the Art Institute of Chicago?  I've missed it last two visits and would really like to spend some time there.

Chevy, Charlie Crist, a Republican turned Democrat who was, gov, AttGeneral, Education Commish is running for gov here. King Ricky, aka Rick Scott who spent 70 MILLION OF HIS OWN $$$$ to buy the govs office. That man has done more to hurt every part of Florida than any gov I can remember. He has to be booted out of Tallahassee. Your DD in Orlando can fill you in more

He owned, and sold HAC, which was fined major $$$$ for Medicare fraud, which he "knows nothing" about!

Spookiesmom, as you know my mom just moved up here from FMB so I've paid attention to FL politics for years.  Amazed by some of the goings-on.  Never did like Rick Scott but I'm not his constituent so will say no more.

Say it any way! Be interesting to hear what someone, not even a snowbird has to say.

    Coming back for a vaca?

Nah, I'll save my ire for a Gov closer to home.  No vacay plans to FL now that mom's here.  Looks like we're headed back to California next summer!

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the code on a blood test would be for tumor markers? I don't think my MO ran that

Nettie, I don't know about code, this always appears on my lab sheet. CA-27.29. I think that is for tumor marker.

Badger-Scott Walker? Um, birds of a feather stick together?

Spookiesmom - yup, that's him, or to borrow from Harry Potter:

    He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named

You and I would have fun discussing politics!

Oh goodness Badger, good thing you didn't say his name.  His deceitful attacks ads are on way too often.  I am glad I have a DVR so I can fat forward through them.  Do you think these guys actually believe the lies they put out?  Ok, I have probably said too much.

Thanks for the answers, it appears that my MO is not running them!  Is there a certain amount of time that has to pass after treatment before they start running the tumor marker?

Appears those #s on mine and Susan's lab sheets depends on what type of ca you have, what they are looking for. Do you see ANY #s on your labs? Could also show on the ICD 10 codes, but I don't know how to read them.

Don't know what an ICD 10 code is, so maybe I don't have that on my labs either! And I see NO numbers, the tests that was run was the typical CBC and then he also ran the CMP.

    Nettie,

My MO & the hospital policy is NO tumors makers for breast cancer.....ever....no scans, no MRI, no nothing....I am stage 3 with lots of cancer in the axillary. My nodes were twice the size of my tumor and bursting out with cancer cells, matted together. I am treated the same as someone that is stage 0 or 1... This is what the OSCO ( that's not correct, whatever the Oncology Assoc. is ) says is the protocol. Diet & excercise & the little magic pill is what we get... Soo, we have to keep moving and hope we are one of the lucky ones.

The CBC does have # for liver function.

No, I'm just reading you guys, and really don't have a clue...Ha!  Are you talking about the tumor marker blood test?  My PC forgot to order that along with my blood-test, but they said I could go back in, and do it again.... but I'm just waiting until my annual physical to have another blood test....

I thought the test was more important than that?  I don't go to an Oncologist anymore.... just the Primary Care once a year....  But I assume I am doing GOOD, and just closing my eyes and bumbling along.... Ha!    But I DO get a diagnostic Mammogram every year...

HIO, do you still go in for Mammograms?  And Physicals?  And why aren't you out playing golf?  Winking

Our Daughter's are at Universal Harry Potter Village right now....  MAN, does it look busy there!    Supposed to get some heavy rains later!

Oh, this is good. I'm getting my weather from someone in Colorado. Heavy rain? Here? What else? Is there any LIGHT rain heading my way? See, all that glop goes west on the sea breeze. Straight to me.

If the girls don't melt into puddles, or poodles, the rain will feel good! The best time to do the theme parks is a cold rainy winter day. They're empty!

    Mornings owls.

Nettie, when I had my hysterecomy I asked about the ca125 (I think), he said he did that one but it doesn't show up in my results. They don't send certain ones to patients and maybe that's what yours does. You should ask.
