Kathy I had that bug for a week and never lost a single pound Bawling I will be in your 'hood on saturday, going up for Body Combat new release launch. Welcome home Auroya I hope you found some peace and were able to enjoy your time with your family. Welcome Kat I can't tell you how many nights I've stood running on the spot to bring myself up to the 10000 steps on my Fitbit, it really is a great motivation tool. Ginger do you have a foam roller they really help. Sweet how excited you must be yes take lots of photos seems like it was yesterday your DH won the trip. Good luck with the specialist Heidi, is your camera linked to the cloud, if it is your photo is still there even if it's deleted.

Did Sh'bam today, danced like no one was watching Happy

hbcheryl - The running in place, haha--that is so great! I can't wait to get one but I have to wait until I get back from my trip to Europe in May. Wish I could join you all in CA but maybe next year. I am embarrassed to say I have to google what is Sh'bam and C25k--I guess I have been south of the border too long! I am not up on all the latest stuff.

    G' night everyone.

Kat Sh'bam is a dance class loads of fun, and C25K means couch to 5k, it's a training tool to get you ready for a 5k run. Where in Europe are you going? I love to travel vicariously.

I have my grandkids here today and tomorrow. Couldn't get any formal exercise in today; however I believe having them (4 year old twins) most of the day was exercise -- big smile. I am beat and have enlisted help for tomorrow.

ladyb1234 - That counts as exercise in my book. I see you are in the East Bay. I lived in Berkeley many years and still go back there to visit my dad.

hbcheryl - Thanks for getting me up to speed. Sh'bam sounds like fun. Can't see myself ever doing a 5k run but you never know. I am going to Florence to take an art class. I figured it earned it after everything I've been through. I might pop over to Croatia on the ferry as well. Can't wait. I will be walking there A LOT, plus I have to walk up 95 stairs to the apartment I rented in an old renovated Renaissance building. Winking

Walk today. Not sure how far as my walking partner won't be available, and I am not comfortable walking far on my own (in the boonies in Mexico).

hbcheryl, -- I also run in place to reach the next milestone or to get to 10K to see the fireworks go off on the fitbit. Glad I am not the only one..haha.LoL!

Although I wanted to start working out again before the upcoming surgery, I think at this point that its best that I wait until everything is all done and I am healed up!

Patoo, sounds like fun and a good start to your retirement.

Kat, welcome. There are also several smart phone apps you can use if you don't want to spend on a fitbit yet. I use one called Argus but there are many that track steps and other exercise.

15 minute walk day before yesterday. Today it cleared up long enough to get in a 30 minute walk but more storms moving in.

Went to my Cardio Sculpt this morning & Zumba tonight. Subbing, baseball & a banquet tomorrow night, so that will be my 'day off". Ladyb, you should wear ypur fitbit when you chase those twins around. I'll bet you will rack up the steps fast!

hi ladies and welcome Kat.  Proud of the Badgers no matter what, it was a heckuva game.

LB, love the poem.  It is profound, and speaks to me of walking.

Ruth, great t-shirt and it's so true!  Agree we should head East next year.

Ginger, gentle yoga stretch includes lots of hip-openers, maybe that would help?

Nice night Tues, we ate Italian and split a bottle of wine.  Walked @ indoor track Weds & tonight.

Congrats littleblueflowers on getting through first chemo!  ♥ to all

No exercise for me yesterday as I had a wonderful date night with hubby. I went to bootcamp tonight. Expecting stormy weather tomorrow but a beautiful weekend after so I plan to get a couple nice walks in.

Hope everyone is safe with the stormy weather.

Kat, trip to Italy sounds amazing. Are you an artist? Art teacher?

I'm miserably sick. Probably shouldn't have run yesterday when I knew I was under the weather. Also up all night with my dog who hates thunderstorms. Must get well for Mexico! Went to first tanning session.

    No exercise today. Hopefully tomorrow...

4/9- 40 mins of resistance training followed by a 90 min yoga class. I am pooped!

Ginger- I have been having issues with my right hip lately too. It does not bother me when I walk or exercise, but more when I am sitting so I think something is out of alignment.

I went to yoga tonight and did some hip openers. If you know yoga Ginger, try pigeon pose. I do feel better tonight, but will wait to see if this lasts.

Was going to walk down to Dunkin' for my iced coffee and a muffin but with us having rain, I think I'll stay inside. Finally going to start seeing 60 degrees starting today!

Good morning, my annoying case of laryngitis/minor head cold turned into a nasty chest cold and cough. Was up and down all night. Won't be exercising today, boo. meljo614, I guess we can commiserate as the miserably sick. To answer your question, I am a wanna be artist. I majored in art university and then changed majors so I could make a living ;-). I am semi-retired now, so I am going to spend more time drawing and painting. The cancer diagnosis was a kick in the rear to do this Florence class.

Mommyof2, if you don't mind, what surgery are you facing? Katcar, wonderful idea of Florence and I also made a Florence pilgrimage after my first surgery, although, not to practice a soul enriching endeavor such as painting, no, my main purpose in going was to pig out on gelato (pasta too). Jazzygirl, you are amazing with all the work you have done with your PT and sticking to it. Meljo get better quick and I looked up where you are off to and simply perfect!

Freestyle step (with a new member and her teen daughter in the back row who kept wanting to stop the music/routine and explain to us how difficult and loud the music was) and afterwards, yoga with a new instructor named Lada, a eastern european yogi who was incredible - w0w - was it good and I feel terrific. Medicating

4/10- personal training session today at the gym. We did some work around my chest/pec area that is still not as strong and did some TRX today for the first time! I am finally strong enough to do some of that work! Yay!

I hope to get some walking or biking in later today. It is a nice day and no wind (whoot whoot).

Mommy- I am glad you are getting the last of the recon done. It will be so good to have this part of it over with. I remember when you had the expanders put in a few months ago.

Will your mother come to help you again?

Sending "Great Well" messages to everyone who is sick.

katcat: Your Florence art trip sounds amazing!

M0m: I know you'll be glad when your surgery is over.

Hello Everyone. I walked/ran early this evening. It's 80 degrees and there was a hot, humid breeze. This weekend is supposed to be sunny and lower 70s.

Cheryl- I do not have a roller but may try to get one.

Jazzy and Badger- i am doing some gentle yoga and will check out the video. I have done pigeon before but am not sure I can do that just yet. I did get some suggestions from my yoga teacher. I also had a massage today and she did some deep work on some very tight muscles. She recommended some stretches and ice for the next couple of days. Neither of them think I should exercise just yet.

I am on vacation for the next week and am terribly frustrated that I cannot walk or run. I have not done anything since Monday. Grrr....

LilacBlue - Pigging out in Florence definitely counts as a soul enriching endeavor! I know I won't be able to resist a good mushroom risotto and a dark chocolate gelato for dessert. Good thing I will be doing a lot of walking.

Jazzygirl - You go! My but you are on a roll. I hope to be able to be well enough just to walk tomorrow. I like TRX--I used to do it pre-mastectomy. Not sure I could do it now--even yoga was hard.

Wonderland - Sounds like you are enjoying perfect weather.

meljo614 - Hope you are better tomorrow!

I am calling it an early night. Good night everyone!
