proud mama aka sas - i only got audio. you certainly have a handsome son. Well done, mama. too funny you watched it in the bathroom - certainly something only a mama would do. I love your idea of 1 day of all posting whatever auto correct does. Would be a hoot.
Chevy - is Teresas husbands funeral today ? Praying for her.
Jazzy - stay dry
Off to another feeling great day today. DS2 is home sick. He never misses school so I know he must be really miserable. I dont want him sick but I am enjoying being mama bear - waiting on him hand and foot and great snuggling. So sick of our entire families lives being ruled by how I feel. It feels great to be the care taker not the patient.
Hope everyone is off to a great start. Hugs all around.

Yes Peppermint.... Funeral today.... It will really be hard on her, I know.... she has gotten used to him being "gone" but I know with all of this going on, it has to just hurt....
She had her hair done yesterday, and the gal will be in her room to "fluff it up" for her again.... Just so she know's we'll always be just a phone call away from her....
Take care of that boy of yours....... hugs everyone.....

Storms are gone! Hope the weather stays good to take my little convertible (now finally fixed) out for a trip across town to meet some guy friends from a client site here in town.
This one is for Sassy and any of the others here who are or have been nurses in the past. I have come to appreciate what nurses do more and more as I have more interactions with the US healthcare system!

Ditto, Jazzy...
The nurses I have had, have all been excellent. I spent 4 days in the hospital when I had my colectomy. ( 2 years before BC ). I had 2 young men as nurses. They were both amazing. I appreciated there service & compassion imendsley.
Chevy, sorry about Eddie. At his age, I hope there are some funny stories & laughter. Sad funerals are too difficult. Celebration of life, a little lunch. Perfect. I do not want a funeral. Hopefully those in charge will respect that. A celebration, with food & wine. I know my kids will do that. The funeral industry is kinda of a racket. The days of herases are dwindling.
HOOT Patty Pepper, SO happy you are feeling human again. You deserve to have a amazing summer with your handsome DSs. I was in Boise for the weekend. Shopped & ate good food. Walked the dogs. Simple stuff. I have a fancy wedding to attend in a month, so needed shoes.
We are plugging along with packing, sorting, trashing. Move on the first, wedding is the 6th. I leave for my Carribean Cruise on the 7th. No worries......he....he...
Waving hello to all....

Hol- Carribean cruise sounds the best of everything you are talking about!
What islands? I know the Carribean well, spent a lot of time there on vacations in the past (and did a cruise there in early 2012.....)

Hi Jazz,
It's a quickie. We stop at Grand Cayman & Cozmel. The best part is, we got a big room with a private balcony. I have never been on a cruise. We have sailed, slept on the rented sailboats. In the San Juans, inland waters.
My friend, that I am going with, this is her 5th time, on this cruise. She is a flight attendant. Her life is traveling & flying. We went to school together, in Calif. We grew up with each other familes, so we have a 50 year history. Woo, that's hard to say. She is a great person, but we really have nothing in common anymore. Our lives are very different. She has no kids, hates sports. My life is my family & being active. It will be an yak fest on how much trouble we were as 15 year olds.

Hol-that sounds awesome. Not been to either of those places, but being barged around, waited on hand and foot, fed anything you want any time of the day is pure pampering. Private balcony sounds amazing.
I hope you take pics and will share some with us!

Holinone- good luck on the move. Enjoy the cruise and the private balcony. I have never been on one. Hope it's a blast.
Chevy- I hope the funeral goes well and Teresa is comforted by friends and family.
Patty glad you are feeling better finally! Hi Blondie. The sun has left today.. bummer.

Rose, thank you for sharing the pictures-lovely garden. Wish the garden was nearby.
Momma Bear Patty, isn't it wonderful to have the strength and energy to comfort and care for little ones? It's a privilege.
HI1, hoping for smooth transition to your new place. You have to swim with the Stingrays in Cayman and careful not to overeat. DH and I love meeting staffs from different countries. These people really work hard for their money and most don't see their families for months.
Susan, sorry I couldn't find any sexy big girl panty. I can't imagine the stress of fighting with insurance company for coverage on services that you know is necessary.
Jazzy, hope you had fun on your outing. I can imagine you in your convertible enjoying the ride with jazz music in the background.
Hugs to everyone.

I have just spent a good hour frustrating myself trying to find a reasonably priced under 20 scrapbook 12 x12 album for my kids along the school/sports theme. Well I just deleted most of this post because it never occured to me to type in a fabric store like JoAnn Fabrics for scrapbook albums - solved! Yay got just what the kids wanted on JoAnn Fabric's site. So no help needed..
Hope you all had a nice day. We had some thunderboomers that scarred the cats.. pretty funny. No rain so far. Sunny the rest of the week!!!

Rose, just when I found the answer for you from a friend who does scrapbooking, I saw your edited post. Glad you got it

Loverof life - Thank you for asking! I was so frustrated... I thought it would be the easiest thing on line, but I was so wrong. I ordered a bunch of photos from Costco for the kids to makes scrapbook pages of school activities and sports etc.. got the stickers, pages - all of it.. then I couldn't find a suitable ($) album for each of them. So I was thrilled to stumble across JoAnn Fabric selling scrapbook albums cheap too - 9.00!!
Just out of curiosity where did your friend recommend to look? I am new to this. Seems like a very good activity for teenage girls.

Loveroflife- thank you so much for the good wishes. I did in fact drive over to the other side of town with the top down to meet my guy friends for dinner. We had SUCH a good time and were there for close to 4 hours chit chatting! I could not believe it when I looked at my watch. Male friends are fun to talk about different things with, like sports cars (which I love.....)
That car pic is cute! My convertible is a sort of champagne color.
It was starting to rain again and now I have t-storms here at the house. More rain coming it seems......

Rose, I misread your post. I thought you were looking for a 20x20 album, so I asked my friend if it's available in that size. I was going to inform you that the largest she has seen is 12x12, but then I saw your edited post. She usually gets her materials at Joann or Hobby Lobby.
Jazzy, I love thunderstorm only when I am inside of course. I used to live in Louisiana where thunderstorm is not uncommon. We don't get very many here in the Northern Central valley. Glad to hear you had a blast with your male friends

Jazzy, have you ever tried quilting a plain scrapbook? I have covered plain albums with material, batting underneath, and lace around the edges... You know, like put the book inside a "pocket"... And then you can close it with stitching a pretty ribbon in place.
I made both girls one, and then put their old pictures, from when they were born, their school years, and growing up... in them. That's when we didn't have the cute little scrap-book fixin's..... But I cut out cute pictures and poems from magazines...
I kept one of my Mom's old dresses, with a picture of her wearing it.... and made a scrap-book cover, with all of their memories and pictures in it... You can cut out a place to add a picture under stiff clear plastic for the front....
I would go NUTS in those craft stores, if I were doing it now, Ha! This was before they even HAD craft stores....

Morning Owlies, another day in paradise

I 'm still on kindle, limited to what I can see and type.
Hi1 have fun on the cruise.
Rosie, I was unhappy with my kindle not the birds. Never got to see the birds. Kindle was being unfriendly.
Patty, GlAd you got to feel like mama bear.
Chevy how did the funeral go?
Susan did that help about the Medicare & bl/bs?

Chevy- not sure if your message about the scrap book quilting was for me or one of the other sisters here? I am not crafty like that, but will play you a jazz song on my saxaphone if you like!

sas..still a work in progress.
Have a beautiful day girls !!

sas - you took the words right out if my mouth " another day in paradise " is exactly how I've been feeling. Feel so alive !!!
Susan & Blondie - hugs
Lover of life - a priveledge indeed I agree
Rosevalley - scrapbooking for the kids That's awesome. Wish I was that motivated
Chevy - a scrapbook with material from your moms dress with pictures has to be the sweetest thing ive ever heard of. Wish I still had something like that from my mom. Any new news on cami ?
Cami - if you are lurking : hello and hugs. You are missed
Jazzy - is the rain ever going to stop so you can go top down in your convertible ? Top down ( cars not yours unless Chevy goes with ya ) and radio up. Sounds like fun.
Another great day for me. Feeling good is awesome !!!

Patty- I did ride with the top down last night. I have to go help a friend today who has a fracture in her ankle and boot on, so I won't take the convertible as it will be too hard for her to get in and out of (low to the ground). I have all kinds of plans to ride around in it this weekend. The weather man says it is going to cool down this weekend though to the 50s and 60s. Top down and fleece on!

jazzy. - that sounds like a ton of fun. Swing by Arkansas and pick me up. Instead of Thelma and Louise will be jazzy-peppermint. Actually sounds like a winner to me. Will ride top down with the radio up ( no rap please ) , whistling and hollering at the construction workers, getting a great suntan , laughing and snacking. I don't drink anymore so I'll drive if you wanna a margarita or corona with lime. We can map out where all our bco sis live and swing by for a visit. How cool would that be ? I would love to spend some real face time with many dear ladies on here.
Anybody else up for a road trip !!!
Yes Blondie def you are on list ! We can take you to walmart but you won't fit much in the convertible. Lol.

Oh no Jazzy.... sorry! I meant Rosie.... Sheesh....! And thanks Peppermint.... I LOVE doing things like that.... like those quilts made out of pictures I made for the boys.... I'm love being "crafty" but I canNOT draw ANYthing! I have no talent where it counts.... Some people can sit down and draw ANYthing....! Not me....
Someone on here has a Son who can draw things.... can't remember who it is!

Hi Ladies,
I'm just venting. I was in the grocery store on line and came across a picture of Angelina Jolie smoking a cigarette. I don't know why it made me so aggravated. She's gone to such lengths to prevent breast and ovarian cancer but yet she's not worried about her lungs. I know she has family history with breast/ovary cancer, but come on!!!

Road Trip? Count me in.
Let's swing over to S. Calif., pick up 2nd & head to the beach. Fresh fish tacos, chips & gaucolmole. Bon fire in the sand, lots of chatter & giggles. That's my idea of fun.

hi1 - that sounds perfect. I would def like to spend some time with 2nd.

Softness, I have no clue, but lots of times those photos are photo shopped to look real.
My good friend wants to do a trip together, we both turn 60 this year. She smokes, a lot. I can handle it for a day or two, but then all that smoke makes me sick.
