Thank you so much (((all of you lovely women)))! Your support-our tribe means a great deal to me. Jazzy, you have done so well with your trainer, she does seem to be a terrific and sorry she is leaving. Cheryl, glad you liked the link and thanks for the check with your master instructor. I do have choreography down (mostly on the count, tend to speed up in a few places due to nerves) and yesterday did both tracks for my pink pilates buddy Jen who is a BB instructor who remarked she had seen massive improvement from last week and said I'm good to go. I also have a LM file of all hard copies of pdf's sent and called them yesterday to make sure my PAR-Q sent was in my file and if I was missing any paperwork, nope, all ok. BB later this morning at the gym and keep practicing for tomorrow. Onwards and roll on Saturday!

LB, forgot to say good luck this weekend. loved the article. You and Helen are an inspiration.

Wonderland, can't believe you're getting that kind of weather already! Glad you had a breeze at least. That's the kind of weather that drives me indoors.
I had lx and SNB (4 nodes). Surgery went fine but little else did. It was one long, disorganized and awful day, frankly.
Hope everyone does well tomorrow (well, today) and enjoys a good weekend.0 -
LB, good luck this weekend. I agree with ladyb that you are an inspiration!
Hopeful, wishing you a speedy recovery.
Yesterday I ran three miles and walked my dog for another two. Also did a bit of weight training. Beautiful day in Wisconsin. Hoping to get out for run on my lunch hour.

Not exercise-related unless you count all the chopping and peeling in my future, but I finally ordered a much larger Dutch oven. Of course, I wanted a Le Creuset (my ex got the large one we had) and these cost a king's ransom. I got this for FREE.
Really....... The best deal with credit card points is to redeem for travel (American Express) or for Amazon Gift Cards, which is what I did with my Master Card ones. Since Mother's Day is coming up, I got a $500 Dutch oven for just under $300. Cherry red wasn't my absolute favorite color, but not worth spending $50 more for a different color. I got the last one.
Note that the worst deal with credit card points is to order the items in the catalogue. Almost always cheaper on Amazon, plus you can get what you really want and need. Cash is probably just fine too.
I was also able to redirect $15 to the nonprofit I do work for via Amazon Smile.
Best of all, I have points left over.....more than I thought.
Now, I can buy the large package of stew meat, or the large chicken, and it will fit in the pot! Tight squeeze the last time I made chicken paprikash. I will also be able to make the large batch and freeze half.
Another one off my "life improvement" list! - Claire

Does pacing count?? *chuckles* New dx so very nervious atm. I really enjoy playing Disney Fantasia music evolved and hope to continue it throughout whatever tx I end up doing.

5/8- completed my final personal training 1 hour session today. I feel like I "graduated" but know I have more to do! I may do a TRX camp at some point in the future.
Final observation and feedback from my trainer when we went out for a bon voyage breakfast. She told me to SLOW DOWN my eating. I have always been someone who eats too quickly.

Been a bit AWOL lately. Walked to and from treatment today with DH, so about 1.5 miles or so.

So far today just the post-lx exercises (wimpy) and some weight training on my 'good' side. I might try my stationary bike this afternoon. I can open the window and pretend I'm outdoors... The treadmill might be a safer choice, however.
Oh, and 3 trips to the front door for flower deliveries.
There's 120 steps right there! (Tongue firmly in cheek)0 -
I found a pretty place to walk today. Botanic garden.

Two hobbies- that is not just pretty, but outstanding!

What a gorgeous place, Two Hobbies! Thank you for taking us there.0

Welcome Freygea. Pacing definitely 'counts'
. I think the waiting part is the WORST part of the whole thing.....Beautiful picture, TwoHobbies!
In 2009, I spent a week in Springfield, Illinois with a group of teachers from all over the country learning about Abraham Lincoln (HISTORY NERD HEAVEN). Each spring since then I've given a talk about the real Lincoln to the 7th graders (they are studying the Civil War). So that's what I did today. I also got in 9,000 steps just roaming around the room as I talked (and talked and talked......5 different sections.....I will do the other half of the class next Friday). So between talking about something I love, AND the delicious Student Council Lunch.....it was a very fun day! No formal exercise though, DH & I are going out to dinner and then I'm going to bed. I am TIRED!

Yes, pacing counts, and Ruth, I think you should get extra points for doing it on the hard, unforgiving floors of a classroom. My feet hurt just thinking about it. (Ditto for anyone in retail.)
I was delighted to find that I can still enjoy my stationary bike, and spent an hour on it. I am REALLY trying to work all the drugs out of my system and exercise, including lots of deep breathing and hydration can't hurt.

Have a good weekend, all.

Hopeful - was it your lumpectomy that you had done finally? How did it go? Hope you are recovering well and that you had 100% complete response from the hormone therapy.
TwoHobbies - Tulips are one of my faves. Thanks for sharing the gorgeous picture.
I've been MIA lately--BF and I got walloped with some awful tummy flu at the beginning of the week...the whole works with fever; details not needed. We've had a rough month with the chest cold then this. We are both determined to stay healthy before we leave on our trip. Took a 2 hour drive today to a wonderful area that reminds me of Sedona, Az. Hiked and did some sketching.

KatCar, I'm SO sorry you had that 'flu - there's a LOT of it going around and it's miserable, especially since you've recently had a chest cold. I hope you can take it easy and find lots of low key, pleasurable activities to enjoy.
Yes, I FINALLY had the lumpectomy, along with SNB - 4 nodes. The surgery went fine - no results yet. It's a good sign that the frozen section was clear but I'm not celebrating anything until we get the final pathology next week some time. The hospital experience wasn't great by any means - it was a long, difficult day but at least it's over.
I haven't removed the dressings yet. I'm kind of afraid to look at my breast. The incision isn't where I would have liked it to be but then nothing about this experience is the way we'd like it to be, is it? Who knows - maybe it will work out o.k. in the long run. I'm just feeling pessimistic and blue and attribute that to lingering effects of the anesthesia.
Your sketching trip sounds lovely. I hope you can spend the weekend doing something equally fulfilling.

TwoHobbies, that is gorgeous! Lucky you!
Got another 15 minutes or so in on the treadmill.

Hopeful - I know it's tough right now--the waiting part is excruciating. I also hope that you find nice, enjoyable activities to keep you occupied and distracted until your next appt. You are absolutely right--nothing about this trip has been the way we wanted or expected. I feel like my chest was a battlefield, and now I have angry, raging scars all over it. But that's nothing compared to the worry and sometimes panic. I am reading, "Dancing In Limbo" and hope it helps. My day at the hospital was no picnic either--surgery scheduled for noon finally started at 2:45 or so. Ah, well, at least we have it behind us. I pray for that node to be clean.
It helps to know the flu bug has been going around as I was kind of beating myself up for getting sick again (I know--stupid thought). I was very frustrated to have my attempts at regular exercise thwarted yet again. I managed to escape any colds or flus during the winter while I was going through surgeries. I guess maybe my body finally went into exhaustion mode after being 'up" for the big stuff. I am sure our adrenals take a beating through this trip with all the stress and worry.
I will look for updates from you on your path report and next steps elsewhere on the boards. Will keep my fingers crossed and will be thinking of you.

Hopeful- praying for good outcomes from your pathology report.
Hoping you can rest well and feel better as the anesthesia works out. I don't do well with it either.

hi all and welcome Freygea. Took a while but all caught up. Love this group! ((hugs))
Got through the week with a clean report from auditors but other than date night not much ex.
Had supper with mom last night and she says hi to the girls.
Walked for an hour this morning under cool gray skies.
Brunch 2moro w/mom & MIL so baking cookies for gift bags. Homemade gifts are still the best.

Well, I have turned the heat back on. It was 30 degrees this morning!!
Since it is an inside day, I did a good old FIRM DVD, Total Sculpt plus Abs and walked on the treadmill for awhile.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I am going to turn my pacing into walking. I do have some dance games on my xbox and think I may try a few of them this week. Hubby and I are planning to go for a long walk tomorrow at Sombrero beach and then head to Home Depot for some flowers to plant.
We are lucky to live in the Florida Keys and the weather is wonderful for outside activities. I may have to break out the bathing suit and go swimming tomorrow.

Hopeful- praying for a good pathology report And that your recovery is going well.
Kat, glad you are feeling better.

kat- I am feeling your pain. I came down with that vicious stomach bug too. I was out of town at my mother's house for my aunt's funeral and came down with it in the middle of the night. I missed the funeral, passed out on the dining room rug twice, could not reach anyone (since they were all at the funeral) and had to call 911 for help. The ambulance came and I spent a day at the hospital ER. It was a vicious bug! Hope you are better!
I had a day to recover and then started a 13 hour drive to bring my daughter to NC for grad school. I was thinking of my BCO sisters along the way. When I passed through Maryland and saw signs for the Nationals I thought of Natsfan and when I saw the Welcome to North Carolina sign I thought of Wonderland. I think someone else is from NC too?
We are in Chapel Hill for a few days helping her get settled. It was mid 80's, sunny with a nice breeze today. We were inside a lot of the time but enjoyed it when we could.
Good luck to those waiting for results; I have not gotten answers about my MRI yet either. Waiting is hard.

I had a definite lazy day today. I didn't even put on my fitbit.

Welcome Freygea! Pacing definitely counts. Hope you and anyone else waiting for answers get them soon. The waiting was the worst part.
For those with the stomach bug, feel better soon. Sounds awful so hope it passes quickly.
Exercise yesterday was a 30 minute jog on the treadmill after work. Today was lots of walking while running errands plus vacuuming the pool
. Tomorrow I will play in the dirt to put in my garden.
Happy Mother's Day to all.

Dune, rest days are the best. Ginger, how scary! Badger, sweets for the sweet. Hi to your mom, too. Freygea, those dance games sound like fun. And living in the Keys, wow!
Positive thoughts to those waiting for results.
Went for a walk (8,000 steps) and played ping pong with DD yesterday. Going out on my bike and to the gym today.

Ginger, I am so sorry you ended up in the hospital and that you were alone when it happened. Did you pass out from dehydration? I am also sorry to hear your aunt died and that the mean bug prevented you from attending the funeral. What an upsetting confluence of events. Thankfully, you recovered to get your daughter up to school.
Walking this morning before it gets too hot and then some gardening. It was 89 yesterday and will be 90 today! So much for my complaints about climate change--this is the May I always remembered. I sweated in my sleep all night long, yuck.

Forgot to say Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers!
And fur baby mothers too!

Yesterday was a relatively lazy day for me, just a 23 minute walk, because I celebrated mother's day with my mom yesterday. Today it is supposed to rain so I may not get any exercise in today either. Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely mothers here!
Hopeful I hope your results come soon and give you good news.
My son had that stomach flu too and it was kind of hard to get rid of. Take care to those ladies that have it.
