Bravo, Claire! I would say you graduate with honors!

Hey ladies, always great to see pix and read about your exploits. Congrats Claire on last anastrozole!
Been swamped since back from vacay. Just got my head above water w/routine duties but we have auditors coming next week and they'll keep me hopping. Brought some work home but it's too nice to stay inside all day. Will walk to the library & grocery yet this afternoon. ♥ to all

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. You all are so much more active than I am. I did my Richard Simmons and discovered that my SNB side really wasn't happy with all the arm movements. Okay. You'd think after 9 months that it wouldn't matter. Oh well. Now that I know I'll be more watchful of how much I do. Right now I'm doing best walking my dog a mile a day.
Aurora, I'll definitely keep you in my thoughts. Hope that the scan is good. Many HUGS!!!!!!

5/2- nice resistance work out at the gym today for upper and lower body, ABS and some TRX stretching at the end.
I took my personal trainer out this morning for a thank you/bon voyage breakfast. She is moving to the west coast and next Friday will be our last session together. She helped me so much these past 8 months we have worked together.
Claire- congrats on wrapping up with the AIs. You go girlfriend. You should definately celebrate!

Ginger good luck with your MRI and Aurora your scan. I hope it will be positive or neutral news for you both.
Congratulations Claire on your last pill and official 100% end to treatment.
Welcome, Peggy and Dunesleeper.
I didn't report in yesterday which was only a 15 minute walk. Today I walked my dog 15 minutes, mowed for 70 minutes, weeded for 30, and raked for 30. I will sleep well tonight!

Big congratulations Claire! I did some minor work around the house. I had hoped to ride the bike for a while, but that didn't happen, not yet.

Claire, it must feel incredible to be done! I'm envious.
Aurora, praying for you!
Hopeful, I only had one node removed. I exercised through treatment also, but was careful with arm work.Today, seven months post surgery I can plank and lift as much as I like. Every case is different though, so listen to your medical professionals and your body!
Some gorgeous Wisconsin weather the last couple days. Yesterday ran 3 miles, walked 2 with my dog, and lifted weights. Today I did my first bike ride on my hybrid--11 scenic, hilly, rural miles. Legs a little noodly 😆. Also got in a long walk with the pup, and some core work.
Heading out to meet friends for cocktails. 😁 Happy weekend all!

Yea Claire!!! Wash it down with a glass of champagne!

Did some toning with Denise Austin, took a walk, did some shopping, went to a baseball game, coffee with my old ladies at the nursing home, hung out with my friend's cats (I'm babysitting them while he is on vacation). Since my Fitbit buzzed awhile ago, I am now going to sit here and do nothing!! Oh yes, while shopping I bought a very cute, age inappropriate, sundress for California.

I have had to work most of the day. Now to pay my rent online and head out for a ride around the area. I will need to cycle back UP Novelty Hill, so should be quite the workout. I haven't done this route before so should be fun.
Thanks for all the great wishes. Yes, I do feel that I have come up a major milestone. (I may celebrate more than one day.)
Got to the farmer's market earlier today, so fresh asparagus and nettles to have with dinner. Have the Schnitzl ready to go. Will get a lemon as the one I used last night wasn't in pristine shape. LOVE the start of the summer veggie season.
Off for my ride. Will let you know later how far I went. I want a loop 15-20 miles I can do without having to drive anywhere. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! - Claire

Good for you, Ruth. We all should own age inappropriate clothing. I love really tight jeans (so long as I can breathe). DH likes them too. HUGS!!!

Woo hoo Claire! Congrats!
Took my dog on a walk this morning through the hills behind my house. It was a pretty morning and we both enjoyed it.

Welcome Peggy, Hopeful and Dunesleeper!
Claire, congrats! How awesome to be DONE...

Today has been a record day for me. Over 20,000 steps today as I did a three hour workout special to benefit a church member with brain cancer. One and a half hours of bootcamp plus one and a half hours of Zumba. Also trying to open the pool so lots of exercise. Heck, I am pooped now.

Dinner out then bed. Good night all.
Edited to fix typos.

2 mile jog with hills....day 10 since last chemo. Some cat /cow poses after, but my chest muscles keep trying to Charlie horse...I think I need to find a physical therapist?

Congratulations on taking that last pill Claire.
This morning did a Spin class then off to another gym and did Body Flow

Peggy, breathing is overrated. Ruth, my shopping yesterday was very age-appropriate: a school bag and other school supplies for DD. Odie, that sounds more exhausting than running a marathon.
Yesterday was Zumba. My arm is definitely getting better. Maybe I'll do the stationary bike at the gym today as the weather isn't that great.

Congrats Claire! Aurora, moments of silence dedicated to your desired results. Welcome to all newbies and some much helpful information posted.
A challenging acceptance other than waiting for test results, is learning to hold back (not do anything) when told to by Dr. inculding easy does it back into exercise, especially after surgery. LE is a one-way street (lifelong condition once it arrives) and not something I want to experience. Had one node removed and still baby myself on the left and my strength is less on the upper left-so what? I can plank easily and forever; resistance, rather than lifting has been the path I chose. Not getting LE will always be a priority for me.
Been doing my usual at the gym and learning the two tracks for LM body balance training next weekend. It's not easy (easier to take as a participant than teach, and I've been handed two of the longest and most difficult tracks, 7, 3). I'm nervous that I'll fail (and look like a fool) but you know, this is my "say yes to life year" and so far, it's all been opening to positive outcomes. I'm also coming towards the end of level 3 medical referral course. Son is starting GCSE exams Tuesday.. blah, blah, blah. Busy time for sure and life goes on. It's a 3 day weekend here and I'm not going to early yoga, I'm honing tack 7 in my bedroom all day and night and roasting a leg of lamb instead. I like Caroline (terrific Quo song and I saw them at Hammersmith Apollo live last week) for a princess name, yet Alice seems to be odds on bet to win-over here.

HeidiHill, Oh, thank you. I really thought I had to breathe. Now I won't worry about it at all

I see that quite a few of you use FitBits. I see the FitBit Flex on sale everywhere right now. Is it worth it or, if I decide to buy one, should I move up to a more expensive model like the FitBit Charge. Money is tight but I have a ton of coupons for Kohl's that might work on the FitBit Flex. TIA
HUGS!!

Thanks, TwoHobbies, my MRI is scheduled for tomorrow morning. My doctor has clarified that we are just looking at the implants and she is not worried about re-occurence. Phew!
Congrats, Claire, that is definitely cause for celebration.
Aurora-sending good thoughts your way.
I went shopping for capris and shorts today and the ones that fit me are 2-3 sizes smaller than a year ago. I can see my efforts are paying off. Now I just need PT to solve my back/hip issues so I can get back to exercising...

Lilac, if it doesn't go well the first time, you have not failed; you just haven't gotten there yet. Anytime you say 'yes' and try, that is a win in my book!!
Peggy, get the Charge, it is way more 'user friendly'. I think it would be worth waiting and saving up for.
Ginger, WOW on the smaller pants! That is a FUN shopping trip. Good luck with the MRI & PT!
Thinking of you, Aurora, and praying for good results.
Happy Sunday!

LB, love that you're celebrating a "say yes to life year", that's a win in and of itself.
Welcome Hopeful, Peggy & Dunes, this is a great place for friendship & support.
Walked for errands yesterday morning then did my 2.5 mile route for an evening break.
Got out early this morning and included a visit to my fave little park on the edge of town.
Didn't take this pic but could have, what a pretty day. Wish you could hear the birdsong!

Ruth, The FitBit Charge or Charge HR? I'll do whatever you recommend since you seem to really know what's what with them. Thanks!
0 -
Charge (you don't need the HR unless you are a serious athlete or had heart problems that needed monitoring).....and I have a brilliant idea, tell your kids that's what you want for Mother's Day!! I got mine by saying it was what I wanted for my birthday present.

Thanks, Ruth. Good idea!

Pruned trees and shrubs in the garden all morning. I have many more to do. I think that's plenty exercise for the day ;-).

ugh. Moving day. Up and down two flights of stairs with boxes will have to be enough....

It is very summery here so I went for a 30 minute bike ride today. It was so nice to be able to ride a bike in shorts and a tank top and not be cold, but appreciate the breeze! I also did about 40 minutes of weeding in my yard.
I love the "say yes to life year" also, LB. I am trying to make each year a say yes to life but hope to get some of it accomplished this year.

I can't wait to get my fitbit. I went for the Charge Peggy, based on reviews. I quite like gadgets so I am very hopeful that this will get me started. First thing is you have to get started.
0 -
Dunesleeper, I also like gadgets. I'll have to see if I think it would be worth it. I know I will not be exercising like most of you here. Right now I'm concentrating on being able to keep up with my sons when I visit them next month - they have lots planned for me, with tons of walking. I am walking about a mile a day right with my rat terrier - she loves it. Now that the weather is nice, so do I. I've spent most of the past 4 years inside, caring for DH. Now I'm taking care of myself since he is in a nursing home. HUGS!!!

45 minutes pilates DVD.
The nice thing about a Fitbit-type gadget is that you can see where you are & set your goals from there....you aren't comparing yourself with anyone else, just yourself!
