Blondie, I'm next to Clearwater on the west coast. Sas is just south of Daytona on the east coast.
Where are you going?

blondie--thanks for the heads up on day 2. I'm 23 hours in, slept about 6 hours, nausea is minimal. I got in about about 150 oz of fluids yesterday so I think that's helping to flush out the poison.
My dad is from a little town called Thomasville, PA, just west of York.
May your journey be peaceful and pain-free.
JWoo--what a dramatic video! Thanks for sharing. Good to know you're holding up. Can you ship a little water to the west? We're on scheduled lawn watering and my tiny patch of grass is withering. My back yard is zero-scaped as in it's just dirt

loveroflife. - yes id def share your stash. Dang uptight arkansas. Can't ever see mj bring approved here. Heck my county is dry and you can't even buy alcohol.
Marla - round 1 done. Congrats ! Sounds like your doing a great job staying hydrated. It does make a huge difference.
Blondie. - would love to talk. When do you leave for Florida ? Glad hospice is helping. Hugs
Chevy & SAS - hi
Hugs to all I missed. Sorry
Iam feeling a lot better today. My ds's last day of school was last Friday. So far all they have done is watch me be miserable. No fun. Today is better. They have a couple neighbor kids over and have been in the pool all day. Lots of laughing and no fighting. That's very good for 4 boys all day. So glad to see them happy. Puts a huge smile on my face.

I love when you guys talk about your little kids.... Makes me wish my girls were still little! Or even my Grandsons! Always something to do.... If even only going across the fence, and sitting on a blanket and having a picnic next to the running water..... Ah geez, I could go on all day with my memories... ! Have fun with those little ones.... it's like we can hardly wait for them to grow up, and they all of a sudden they are, and they have their own lives, and we are lucky if we are still part of them!.... Or if they live close!
I'm just feeling blessed...... mostly because I know how much worse things could be.... Have a great week-end my friends!

Patty, Shhhhhhhh. Don't want to get into trouble, you know. She lives south of me. You are happy, I am happy.
Marlana, laughter is good medicine. A lady I play badminton with who went through chemo six years ago for bc said that one of the things that helped her to get through her treatment was watching comedies. This article is quite interesting:

Nothing to lose....

Marlana, Know what you mean. Just as you see your last menstrual pad, you need the poise.

Blondie- it is good to feel happy. Glad to hear it. Can't wait to hear about your FL adventures. On the beach in your string bikini. You go girl!

Blondie, good decision in choosing to be happy. I can see Ms. Spookie and Ms. Sass taking good care of you when you visit Florida. I have seen Ms. Spookie's display of colorful thongs she posted.
Ms. Chevy, you are right...kids grow too fast. I just have to remember to enjoy them while they are still with me. My older daughter will be in college next fall!!!!! My baby!!!! I played chess with my younger daughter tonight and can't help but feel sad that she is 12 already. It doesn't seem like very long ago she started kindergarten and now I worry that she will beat me at chess.

Morning gals! Yes Loverly... just think about the special moments you have with your kids... It doesn't seem possible that I have grown this much older, and so many years have passed! If you could just hang onto them... your kids and those memories!
When I first read your post quickly, I thought I read your Daughter is 12 feet! Haaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Okay... more coffee....

No WAIT!!! It isn't THONGS that Spookie has.... it's FLIP-FLOPS!!!! OMD I got corrected soundly by my Grand-son one time... They WERE called THONGS, when I was young....... but HE said "my shoes are NOT thongs Grams, they are FLIP-FLOPS".... Hah!....This is a "thong"... I found a nice G rated thong here......

Unless she has taken up wearing THESE again!
This is a flip-flop....

Okay now that you guys know the difference, I have done my job!

As long as you call them that at home Chevy, but seeing as those 'flip flops' in the pic have the Aussie flag on them, I will call them thongs as we have for the last fifty years.
Sheila.

THIS IS A CAMMI JOKE.....
A woman was shopping at her local supermarket where she selected:
a half-gallon of 2% milk,
a carton of eggs,
a quart of orange juice,
a head of romaine lettuce,
a 2 lb. can of coffee and
a 1 lb. package of bacon.
As she was unloading her items on the conveyor belt to check out, a drunk standing behind her watched as she placed the items in front of the cashier. While the cashier was ringing up her purchases, the drunk calmly stated, "You must be single."
The woman was a bit startled by this proclamation, but she was intrigued by the derelict's intuition, since she was indeed single. She looked at her six items on the belt and saw nothing particularly unusual about her selections that could have tipped off the drunk to her marital status. Curiosity getting the better of her, she said "Well, you know what, you're absolutely correct. But how on earth did you know that?"
The drunk replied, "Cause you're ugly."0 -
Guard your sandals Jazzy!

Marley One down YAY Catching up been off on a break. Saw where you had 150 0z. Sounds great , but that translates to 4500cc.-- 4 1/2 liters. ( 150 x 30) That's too high. It can mess up your electrolytes. Google water intoxication. Check with your Chemo center and ask what liter amount they want you to shoot for in a 24 hour period. Likely more in the range of 2 1/2 to 3 liters maximum. Be careful if they give you a response "as much as you can". You want a realistic number to shoot for. Water intoxication can kill. Not really your goal for chemo
Going to C&P and PM. 0 -
Loverly, Great link. I added it to the topic box here and on warm & Fuzzies
Hi everyone, going through a phase, Happens every so often

Sassy- sorry you are going through a phase.

Bloom du jour. Yellow prickly pear just started blooming and must have 100 buds on it. They open for one day then are done. The bees are all inside these blooms doing their bee thing.

Sassy.... anything wrong? Is a "phase" the same as PMS? I went through a phase once.... Almost gave up everything that is important to me now..... Just think of it as a temporary form of "don't give a chit"........
You will be back to your old self soon..... I mean not "old" but your usual sense of humor...... If it has anything to do with what's-his-name, then take all the time you need................ I will counsel you.... I'll be your shrink.... the rest of the gals will hold your hand..... I will smack you in the head and tell you "okay, 5 minutes is enough time..." See you soon!
