hi all....I just got done speed reading, so I think it's safe to say I have everyones life mixed up...lol
Had a great time with Claire, biked, walked, played tennis..came home with her for Father's Day....drove her back...passed out when I got home...and now back on my feet. Boy it takes a lot out of me.
Whoever asked...sorry, speed reading doesn't really work, arm...I am ignoring. The wrap caused hives, which set off a chain reaction of all over body hives. Yuck...that's under control now and off meds for hives, so I will start with massages now and see where that leads.
But today is a good day...hope everyone has a great Sunday

Ant remedy I saw online: 25% salt in water. Dissolve and spray where they're coming in. I don't think it would hurt an animal to taste, and I'm sure they wouldn't want any more.

Oh MAN! We made it HOME! My car started "hesitating" and then going down busy Sheriday Blvd, I didn't think we would MAKE it! I shifted into a lower gear, and gunned it, and made it across the bridge and pulled into a King Soopers parking lot.... and almost had a heart attack!
DH looked under the hood, and saw the oil cap had blown off, and oil was EVERY damn where! Could not find THE OIL CAP anywhere under the hood... Oil everywhere! But no light came on indicating a problem....!!!
Called Janie, who doesn't live far, and is on her last vacation day.... SHE came to rescue us... Drove to 2 auto parts places.... No luck! Came back for me, and my Starbucks, and we drove to yet ANOTHER! Found one similar, and he said to TRY it..... DID NOT WORK.... So Janie ran in and bought some Duck Tape, and we taped that sucker with enough duck-tape to hold down the whole engine......
We drove s-l-o-w-l-y-home.... the back way.... her folowing us, and stopping us twice because my car was smoking she said! DH thought it was because oil had covered stuff, and smoke coming out the exhaust...
Made it home.... looked in alley, for lost cap.... nothing. Opened garage door, and THERE IT WAS! I was so happy, I couldn't stand it! Tape and wrong cap came right off.... So we will take that cap back....
See, DH checked the oil a couple weeks ago, and probably couldn't screw the cap on tight enough, because his hand is sort of crippled.... And it must have come off!
But I just thanked God we didn't have to have it towed! Being with HER, just makes everything fun....! Letting car cool off, then putting damn cap back on....... WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure does!!!

Except if it gets hot enough.. duct tape melts! Oy! Chevy you have AAA right? Triple A has saved our butts more times then I can remember.. we renew every year. One tow and it's worth it. We even added DD up at college.

For all the sisters here going through chemo or any other treatment right now and having a tough day.

Jazzy, I love lazy Sunday. I get to take long nap after church...no, service is not always boring.
Wren, I will try salt water next time. Murdered so many ants in our house yesterday with index finger. Sorry animals lovers.
Ms. Chevy, what a stressful morning you had. Thank God that it was not more serious. What is life without drama?
Ms. Sass, are you overloaded with the informations you got from your research? Had to slowly read and digest the the load of info. Thank you. Very interesting

Rose - I have several co-workers with kids that have ancestry.com accounts. Fortunately, we have a profession with downtime and a department that allows us to use electronic devices during that time. I also do most of my shopping on the internet at work and I'm an amateur travel agent for friends and family.
Frey - I'm in the same boat. I've been more tired this second round than the first. Part of my problem is that round 2 pushed me into chemopause after about 3 days so I've been having hot flashes that are waking me up and not sleeping as much or well as I would like.

Chevy -- I had the same thing happen but with power steering fluid. Ended up having to have my engine steam cleaned.

Loverly- Hey I am not always a protector... My kids when they were little were raised Quaker. non violence etc.. (still subscribe to that.. sorry gun owners.. and I come from a long line of NRI members and gun owners- gotta be a defector once in a while!) Anyway when we were on camping trips my little hearing DD would chant.. "What do we do to mosquitoes??? We Squish em!" SHe would clap her hands together gleefully! Good little Quaker kid..
Then one afternoon after a particularly hideous outbreak of ants in California, same DD put her hands on her hips and declared - "Damn ANTS!" She did it just like I would...my signature all over it. My DH was not amused to hear it out of a 3 year old. Sigh... thanks kid. Do you have to copy Mommy all the time?? It was horrid though the damn ants were coming in everywhere.. out of the faucet in the tub! I'll never forget it. Sometimes I would just squash them fast as I could or drown them..This was back in Davis CA.0 -

Not having the ant invasion I had last summer...well not yet anyway. But omgosh...the June bugs this summer are everywhere...all over the patio, hanging on the stucco outside the house, and coming in when I open the patio door to let the dogs out. Going to be a long hot summer.
Chevy, glad your car made it home...duct tape is amazing.
Hugs to all....0 -
My Rose is not complaining about the June bugs; they're one of her favorite treats, because they're crunchy. Also cicadas.0

Dang it! Just lost a post. Rose, I didn't see your post above mine. It is funny how children tend to emulate us parents. I tend to speak jiberish when I have an accident...no, not going in my pants kind of accident. I mean when I drop or spill something, jiberish language usually follows. I guess it's a protective mechanism to help prevent profanity coming out of my mouth. I now notice my younger daughter does the same thing ...the poor child picks up my weird habit of all things!!!
My stomach is acting up again, but nothing unmanageable. I rather deal with D than C. Maybe it's because I am going back to work tomorrow. Darn IBS. I was thinking about you and hope they can figure out how to help you feel better. I can't imagine how uncomfortable you feel having to swallow the yucky contrast. Hugs to you my friend. Nite

Hi Pawprint and Mag! Didn't see your posts. You ladies are up late. Sweet dreams. Got to go to bed or I will be sorry tomorrow

Yes! I'm up... been researching about Glen Campbell and his show we watched last night... Really sad, to watch what he and his family are going through with Alzhiemers... Just a touching show... very well produced... and I even stayed up till NINE! So you KNOW it was good...

Rosie, that duck tape "fix" all just lifted off that hot engine case...WOW! Yes, we WERE lucky.
I finally got a refrigerator freezer ordered from Sears online... Our Fridge part is not working, turned the control up all the way... freezer is okay, but I called around, looked online, and FINALLY found the only one we could get, because it has to be shorter than most of them... It was only $500, but looks good for what we need... Coming Thursday...
MasterCard would NOT let Sears put it through... So they "declined" because of that time I had a card "stolen"... But they called, and asked all those questions, and then she said I could go ahead and use it in 5 minutes, BUT I said NO, don't put that charge through, because I just paid for it with PayPal...! And I don't really need 2 of them!!!
Mastercard is SO good... I told her I don't ever use my card, or carry it with me, just beCAUSE I'm afraid to. She asked if I had my card with me, and I told her yes, so when she was sure it was a legitimate charge, it was all okay.... But with PayPal, it comes directly out of my credit-union, and it all went through.
Just waiting for it to get light, so I can go paint the rest of the back of the house...
Hope you all are feeling better today.....

Hi Mama! What are YOU doing up so early?
0 -
I know... I used to do that all the time, but then we got Lacee, and all 3 of us would walk.... Just walk around the stores now, AND the mall....
I'll get on my exercise bike more, when I get the house painted... Sheri is coming here in July, so I need to have it done... Ha!
0 -
It is sooooooo good to be outdoors walking! Much better than staying in and exercising. Outdoors is just better for everything.... I used to set up my ironing board on the patio, and crank up the tape deck, and it made ironing a lot more fun....
She is coming in for a Wedding up in the mountains, but will stay with us and Janie for a few nights first... We'll see what mischief we can get into.

She'll probably stay with her Sister.... More fun, and she can stay up all night, and sleep on an air-mattress right in front of her Patio door, and play on her phone all night, and her cats.... with the TV on! Too hot here, upstairs... even with a fan on... and we go to bed early...

Rosie sending you hugs, even a big ole cheek kiss
YourFrenchfrye How you doing? Neulasta sucks doesn't it? Fun talking with you. Great you can laugh so much when everything is out of whack.
Chevy, cute link on animals eating. Love YouTube.
Littlegoats Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I can incorporate the hygiene hypothesis into the microbiome and weight thread. Noidea about green tea accept everything I have ever read says it's good stuff. I started mixing it with a tablespoon of "Flor-Essence" and letting it steep. Then making 2 quarts of ice tea. Flor Essence is supposed to be as close to Essiac tea as can be. What do you do white brown rice to take away that funny taste?
Blondie, I'm driving to Tampa on the 7th. I'm going to leave DS's on the 8th, 2 hrs before I meet you that morning to get to the TIA. Maybe pick up Spookie on the way. Traffic in Tampa is a nightmare. What's ironic is if I drove straight from Cocoa it's 2hrs. That was my original plan, but got worried about hyw traffic. One accident can be hours of delay. So, taking it safe and driving the day before. Only ten(9?) days Chickie, sun and fun!
Susan, Nice---fun with Claire. Susan did you have any ointment or cream under the wrap? What was the wrap made of? I developed an allergy to polyurethane IV catheters. For me they caused tissue necrosis at the insertion site. Figured it out after the 4th catheter. They had to do a special preparation of equipment for my thyroidectomy to make sure I didn't get exposed to any polyurethane.
Patty your welcome
Which thing? BTW the skin brushing thing was first written about in the 80's for relaxing infants. I figured if it worked for infants, it'd work for adults. What's nice about it is the less effort for the one doing the brushing. Regular message is work. Not good when you are already in pain. Didn't start it till recently with DBF when he work related muscle soreness, but I couldn't do regular message. Now he asks for it all the time.

fine with me.Chevy did you check the oil level. Engines don't like being without oil. They kind of can be irreparably harmed. Any mechanics around that can advise you? Nice to have Janie.
Loverly, Yes brain was in overload for sure. But great fun. I'm going to work as soon as I post this. Seriously I think I have multiple good hypotheses..
Marley, glad they let you do stuff while sitting at your consoles. It's not like calls are coming in every minute and you can't walk away. I worked with a guy who also was a paramedic student of mine who wrote and published the first material for 911 operators for the Medical/Trauma EMS guidelines. He did that set back in the late 70's. He wrote lot's of other books too that are the basis for EMS related stuff. Fun
How you doing today? Did you go to work? Is that working for you? How are your bosses? How are you co- workers?
NO ANTS, spiders, or creepy crawly things. My staff takes care of them. Besides we are still wet here.
Did you see the dust storm in Phoenix. Not good..............Dust bowl days of the 30's...............
Paws, there you are. Hope all is well. How's the iron thing?
Mags yoohootooyoutoooo!
Loverly, love the jibberish. I used to and sometimes still do hum this old sorority pledge song. It has all nasty words in it. I used to teach it to people that needed it for stress relief. In surgery in the 70's I taught it to another nurse and a doc R that was a Vietnam vet. He had anger issues. Meridith and I were the only ones that could get him to behave. One day we were all in the same OR. Meridith was the scrub. I was the circulator. M&I thought it was going to be a nice day. The doc was outrageous. I absentmindedly started humming the song. Meridith chimed in. I turned around thinking Oh chit. Doc R put his instruments down and said "Am I being that big of a bastard?" Us "Yes" in unison. He was a peach for the rest of the day.
MammaRay, You're here, but I sense that something's up? Wanna talk about it?
Chevy YAY Sheri's coming. What have you got planned?
Off to work

Yea Sheri! Hope she doesn't bring any skeeter babies!
Sas, you are NOT gonna come over here and pick me up. Too much driving at that awful hour.
Did you see the rocket blow up?
