Not to add fuel to the fire since I have never heard of a magnitized boob - cochlear implants are held in place with a magnet against the mastoid on the skull. That's the only "prosthetic" I have ever heard of that uses a magnet.

Frey- glad you are on the other side of the first infusion. I hope the SEs are minimal for you and it sounds like you are taking it easy, which is a good thing. You have lots of ladies here who have done chemo and can help you with great advice.
Some good news on the work front. I went in on a teaming arrangement with a tech firm here in town on an RFP for some work with the state and we won! Now I am busy getting some work done to be ready for the subcontract agreement we need to get in place next so we will be ready to go when they start sending new projects our way. Whoot whoot!

correct on the MRI???? I had to take my pump off for the last one, my MedicAlert bracelet has gone in. I told the tech I had a 4 level cervical fusion, lots of metal there, and a vena cava filter. Nothing blew up or got de-maged.
I'm guessing she saw it somewhere with DrGoogle.

Boob magnets---huh???? Haha
Patty, my dear, so sorry things did not turn out as planned....bummer. Rough road you are traveling on. With little or no quality of life, I think even saints would become like Eeyore !! Who wouldn't? How is your thyroid level now? Sometimes we just need a little help from conventional drugs to help us function as normal as possible--whatever that is. As mom with young children, we are not only fighting for ourselves, but for our kids. As human, we only have so much strength to endure the brutal battle before we feel defeated. I think the sex therapist, aka Ms. Sass, has a point in regard to skin to skin contact. If it leads to more, then embrace it gratefully. BC is hard on our spouses also. They tag along with us down the same path. Some bail out because it's too much for them to handle. Keep your focus on the Savior. It has helped me during my difficult times. To Him be the glory. Wish you were nearby so I can give you a real hug.
FrenchFrey, glad to hear you are feeling good. Hoping for no bone pain with Neulasta.
Goats, have you tried giving your pup Bison? My Sis' dogs has/had allergies. The poodle mix used to get chronic ear infections and skin rashes and the dachshund would get skin problems until she changed their food to Bison. Salmon did not help....I am not surprised if they were farm raised fed with GMO junk and contaminated with antibiotics and other chemicals.
Jazzy,
for trying to enjoy life. Sounds like you have an ideal job which allows you to have down time so you can find joie de vivre.Talk about Bison, here are the pictures of Yellowstone. Sorry the pictures don't do justice to the actual beauty of the National Park.

Can't seem to download pictures from the better camera on my computer. I am such a Fuddy Duddy. The top 2 were taken by my 12 yr old DD2. The bottom 4 is from my outdated phone...no justice. Here is a silly picture of my DD1 (in black yoga pants) and her cousin2 pretending to be blown away by cousin1.

Talk about boops...yes Rose, I confess I'm adding fuel to the fire. Haha
"Good Laugh about this Biology exam"
This is straight from Scotland. Students in an
advanced Biology class were taking their mid-term
exam. The last question was, 'Name seven advantages of
Mother's Milk. The question was worth 70 points or
none at all. One student, in particular, was hard put
to think of seven advantages. However, he wrote:
1) It is perfect formula for the child.
2) It provides immunity against several diseases.
3) It is always the right temperature.
4) It is inexpensive.
5) It bonds the child to mother, and vice versa.
6) It is always available as needed.
And then the student was stuck.
Finally, in desperation, just before the bell rang
indicating the end of the test, he wrote:
7) It comes in two attractive containers and it's high
enough off the ground where the cat can't get it.
He earned an A.0 -
I love that picture Loveroflife. That is one creative group of gals.

Patty--hugs. Never having been married and with my longest relationship only 5 years, I don't have any advise to give but I think everyone else covered it.
Goats--good idea on waiting for the husband. Being single and working in law enforcement, I deplore having people in my house to do repairs. When I had my water heater replaced a few years back, I tied both dogs to a tree in the front of my driveway with just enough room for the plumber to walk by and not get eaten when going to his truck and then pulled weeds in my planter and trimmed plants until he was done.
Loverly--funny on the speeding ticket. I always worry when I go out of state. In state, I don't worry so much because my registration says that I work for "The Man". I've gotten out of a couple that way...😉 Yellowstone is one of favorite places in the planet. I've been about a dozen times, mostly because my brother did his M.S. and Ph.D at Utah State University which is only a 4 hour drive so I would fly in on a long weekend and we'd go hiking.
Sas--I sympathize with the pup issues. My big fella is a big scardy-cat so he barks at everything out of fear--planes, birds, the wind, butterflies. It gets annoying. And he literally ate his Thundershirt.
Chevy--it's entertaining to say the least staying with my parents. They're both losing their hearing (dad actually has a bone conducting hearing aid with a metal implant on the back of his mastoid bone but doesn't wear it in the house) so they yell at each other and then grumble about the other being deaf. Dad's pretty frustrated by his declining strength. BBC (before breast cancer) I would take the dogs over once a week, knock on the door and hand him a leash so he had to take a walk with us. Lately, it's been the lack of cartilage getting to him. Thought about suggesting glucosamine but he's already depressed by how many pills he takes.
And BOOB MAGNETS???? Sound like a guy who's a chick magnet but attracts large-breasted women. Or idiots. "That Tom, he's a real boob magnet."

Blondie--adorable!

oh, on marriage--my mom always said that what kept the romance alive was 1) date night once a month 2) vacation together WITHOUT kids, once a year, even if it's just a weekend 3) weekend out with the guys/girls once a year (dad went hunting, mom went to Vegas). And that you have to have a relationship that isn't always about the kids

Oh? You know what WE used to do? I mean me and my SIL, and my wild and crazy friends???? WE would go OUT! I mean drink and dance, and tell jokes and play with all the guys! I mean I LOVED dancing, and we never got to do it... I mean together.... This was in the late 70's, early 80's... and Disco music just set our feet on fire.... Ha!
So instead of staying home for 3 days or so, painting the bedroom, sewing curtains and drapes, jump-suits, I figured, "Well, why NOT?" So we would silently wait for their trips, and it was like the leashes came OFF! That was just the most fun in the world!
One time, after drinking and dancing, we stopped at a Burger King Drive through... Well JANET could NOT get the right words out to order our stuff! And I just lost it! I was laughing soooooooo hard I couldn't catch my breath... We still laugh about it to this DAY! But not in front of our Husband's.
As far as they knew, we were home knitting the whole time. So hunting and fishing trips worked for both of us...

And now you know............

Chevy you are a hoot! How's your lovely cottage going? What color are you painting it?

Blondie, YAY and the GK's are beautiful. To verify: arrival is July 8th @ 10:20 am; three people? I have a bunch of ideas. Want to run them by Spookie first

Good morning friends- must get going to a meeting this morning to record a podcast, but wanted to wish everyone a good day.
I can't wait to hear about the Blondie-Spookie-Sassy adventures. I hope there will be pictures of you fine ladies you will share, if you care to post them publicly!

Oh Jazzy Spookie is camera savvy. Should be great fun. I love these gatherings as many do.
Good Morning everyone. I was off on a search for something else and came across this article. This is a repost from the constipation thread
"What fun science is
Came across this article while searching something else. We have discussed Probiotics--good bacteria. Most people will recognize good bacteria as being found in yogurt. Scientist have made a connection between certain colon friendly bacteria and brain health. Particularly, anxiety. This article is pretty layperson friendly.
http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2015/06/gut-bacteria-on-the-brain/395918/
How and why this is important to our community? Because of the treatments we receive i.e. chemo, antibiotics pre & post surgery, and antibiotics for complications of each, our gastrointestinal ( mouth to anus) flora is altered. Certain antibiotics alter the intestinal flora of the vaginal area. The dreaded 'yeast infection'. For several decades the concentration of thought was to replenish good intestinal flora of the GI tract and vagina. What the article identifies is the brain came be affected by changes in the GI flora. We have another reason to consider replenishing good bacteria of the gut when are body is exposed to chemicals".

I've got a nice piece of trivia. Embryologically the mouth and rectal area come from the same tissue. One of the few things I remember from Embryology my junior or senior year. Guess I better eat my yogurt today because I need everything I can get smarts/strength wise today. Have to finish getting kitchen decent for plumber and make a path for AC guy. Oh Loverly not worried about them so much. AC guy I've known for years, actually a fellow church member. Plumber on Lowe's install contract. I've had these guys b4 - well not these exact ones - and very impressed. Did 2 toilets and a water heater. It's just that there is bound to be something go wrong and that way DH can't blame me.

On the foobs, apparently there really is such a thing. I put this on another forum and somebody posted a site. I did a brief look, one thing stood out was, financing was available.
Blonde, this is gonna be fun!!!!!
Goats, check out Dog Food Advisor for a VERY good run down on all the various foods out there. I'm not a big fan of the high price stuff out there. My 2 get Science Diet or Purina. We don't have any health issues. When Spookie was a pup I tried some of that. The only one she REALLY liked was Stella & Chewies. At $13 for 6 oz, I couldn't afford that, and poop stuck to her very furry butt.

Patty, hugs chickiepoo, eat some yogurt. I've been studying. I predict the science is going to take us to a place that vigilance of protecting gut bugs will become a big part of health maintenance from birth to death. The early work is done

Blondie see what you think of this synopsis.
Arrival on July 8th@ 10:20am at Tampa International AP. You go to baggage and pick your stuff up. I pick you up at 11:00 am at the baggage exit of Southwest airline. I take you to TOOJAYS on Bay street which is outside of , but close to the airport. We eat and visit. Your SD comes to TooJays and picks you up there and gets something to eat too. Advantage is it's outside the airport. SD doesn't have to deal with chaos of airport after driving for 2hrs. SD won't have trouble with parking and finding you. Your tummies are full when you head south. They're isn't any clock pressures.
Ask SD to mapquest route to Toojays on Bay Street Tampa
We all need to exchange cell phone numbers (by PM)
TOOJAY's is a deli, but has a wide range of foods other than just sandwiches. Prices are reasonable. Relaxed atmosphere.

Sas--I take probiotic pills every day and twice a day when I'm taking an antibiotic (several hours apart so they don't negate each other). C. diff is no fun.
Goats--that brings a whole new meaning to "talking out of your a$$".
Chevy--so in your case, what happens at the Burger King stays at the Burger King?
