    odie. . .hugs and prayers. Totally understand about the " gift that keeps giving." Having some issues there myself.

    Sweet - congrats!!!! I can't wait for a good followup. Then I will finally feel like I've turned a corner.

    Gym today. . .pumped up the speed and tilt on the treadmill. More leg reps and started arm weights gain. Determined to get my life back at least in the exercise realm.

    Mowed for over 1 and 1/2 hours this evening. A little cooler but I was still drenched.

    I read about do many opinions about how much weight I can lift after expander exchange. Opinions?

    Zumba & yoga tonight. Now I have to sign off and study 6th grade Reading, as I am subbing for that last tomorrow & Friday. Kind of excited to get back into the 'schoolish' mode.

    Jazzy 30 minutes is plenty in my book. BTW I saw a license plate w Jazzy on it today. I thought of you.

    Outrunning it's a pretty nice time of year to be off, too! Enjoy while you can.

    Ruth I hope your group took a few minutes to swing on the swings!

    Odie Ihate being on constant medical watch too. I had to do the endometrial biopsy too and it was all negative. I think they are super cautious about everything.

    I walked 30 minutes today. Two days of yoga made me sore so I took a break today but maybe tomorrow I'll resume.

    Odie, ditto to what TwoHobbies said regarding medical watch; we all are waiting with you. Mysunshine, I've not had implants and someone here will have suggestions to your pumping issue. Ruth, that sandwich looks huge, enjoy your day back in the saddle. Go Scottiemom11!

    YAY saw the BS today. Cleared to do any walking/running that doesn't hurt. And go back to the gym. For arms starting with weights under 10 pounds and work my way back up.

    Ourunning, start with little tiny weights, better safe than sorry.

    I got 8,000 steps just running around the school today. Geez, it's no wonder I had to up my 'formal exercise' program when I retired! Did Zumba tonight so will have plenty of steps!

    Located my slicker and boots and went for a 2 mile trudge in the deluge. After a dry summer, the ground is squishy here. Yesterday, the forecast was for "spotty showers". Try downpours.

    Hoping to get in a couple of group rides this weekend. Nothing too adventurous.

    Ruth....you are right about exercise. I went from a job where I was walking and lifting all day to a desk job about 20 years ago. Guess what happened? When I was still a Customer Service Engineer, I could eat anything I wanted.

    Good news for you Outrunning & S&S you do doing really well keeping a lid on the active action. Tomorrow my course starts for Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation at Level 4. This is what I've been working towards since January and I've been reading the text book and beavering away on worksheets. My girlfriend is on it with me (we did level 3 together), so that is nice and a few Macmillian nurses (UK cancer support charity) too. Something is shifting and I'm being treated more as a colleague by other instructors rather than a gym member (which I still am). Going to hit the bricks over the next few weeks and see if I can get a few classes to teach elsewhere or at least cover. Have a a terrific TGIF everyone!

    Another 30 minute walk today, then a few hours with my mom at antique stores and lunch in a neighboring town.

    Claire good for you! My computer desk at work is hydrolic. Allows me to sit or stand. They got it for me because it's better for my lower back to stand. Problem is I'm too lazy to do so most of the time. I need to make that my next priority.

    Lazy today. Worked late telecommuting after PT and then dh and I went to dinner. Now at the gym for a quick 30 minutes on treadmill so I won't feel like a total slug.

    Sweet, glad you are doing well. Please don't overdo. When I had my total hysterectomy (20 years ago!) went shopping with my sister and carried her 6-month old GS for a little bit. Not a good idea. Please take it easy. And, don't let ruthbru near your house until after the holidays because you won't have any frozen treats left.

    Odie, thinking of you. Hi to everyone.

    Been exercising everyday, water aerobics, water exercising, biking or Walk away the pounds group. My shoulders are achy and I think it's because everyday I'm using weights when in the water. I know you are not supposed to take a day off in between so will continue but not use them all the time (water weights are very powerful).

    Finally got to new PCP today. He is an endocrinologist and I absolutely love him! He also introduced me to the oncologist who is part of the group as well so will have an appointment with her before long. He did wonder why I'm still on an AI (almost 7 years) since there is still no definitive word on staying on beyond 5 years, even for those of us with ILC, so will be reviewing that as I'm certain he will discuss with the oncologist after they review my records (gave them copies). He thinks we may be able to monitor based on routine bloodwork. My days on Anastrozole may be coming to a close - YAY!

    One hour yoga class yesterday. Two mile walk today, a little faster than my usual. Happy weekend, everyone.

    Subbed again. It was Homecoming, so it was a crazy day. My Fitbit says 13,000 steps, with no formal exercise!

    Discovered a new post breast cancer exercise for the brave last night - burlesque. I was at the wine bar where my friend Nikki Bourbon and her troupe were performing. Only got to stay for the first half of the show as was going to be a late evening, and I had been at it since something like 6:30 am. Anyway, one of the performers Candy Apples (these are stage names) is a breast cancer survivor. Yes, she did have some interesting moves, even with reconstruction. She was gorgeous and amazing.

    Anyway, I learned that there is a burlesque class in Seattle for breast cancer survivors!

    I was wonderful to see how Nikki Bourbon has grown, as all so much more professional than when she started out a couple of years ago. Her husband is a musician so the evening started with a spot of jazz.

    I was planning a group ride this morning, but slept in instead. I will get out, with a later, slightly shorter ride. Plus the farmers market. I need some white peaches. I think the Snow Queens are still available and delicious.

    Other news is that the Nordstrom Flagship Store is coming along nicely. I can't wait to see it all done in its update and refresh. They have already greatly expanded the makeup lines they carry. Not that I will necessarily be indulging as have my "go to" lines, but nice to see what is new and trendy. On the whole, not things you can get at either Sephora or Macy's.

    Loving the early fall weather here. Despite what the news may say, we are now squishy underfoot, and no longer dry, in the Puget Sound area, and the Eastern WA fires are mostly contained. Normal water in the streams and rivers too.

    burlesque! You go Claire!

    I went for a fabulous walk with my daughter this morning. We ran a little. doc said let pain be my guide. Running hurt but no more than any other type of movement. But mostly we looked at nature, pet every dog we met, checked out the creek and generally just enjoyed being together. Mapmyrun said 2.45 but I know that section to be about 2 even. So either we did more wandering about on the trail than I thought or Mapmyrun just isn't accurate.

    Regardless it was a perfect morning. So glad for the rare Saturday morning we didn't have to be anywhere.

    She's cute, Outrunning.

    Went to "Eat My Veggies" class to try and improve my use of veggies. Excellent, gluten and dairy free, yummy stuff we made but I'm just too lazy, rather eat then prepare! I would do the easy roasted brussel sprouts, roasted radishes, kale apple salad but not much else (lima beans, sweet potatoes, jicama, avocado, zucchini, etc. dishes would be a distant maybe. )

    Came home and went to exercise in the pool for a bit.

    Hello all you wonderful ladies! Sorry to butt in on this great thread...

    We just posted a request for Survivorship Stories -- would love to have some of you contribute!

    Survivorship generally refers to life after immediate treatment (surgery, chemo, radiation), though a patient may still be on ongoing treatment (hormonal therapy, targeted therapies, complementary methods, etc.). To coincide with an new, upcoming section on the main Breastcancer.org site on Survivorship, we're looking for stories from members who have gone through the active treatment rollercoaster and are now experiencing life after a diagnosis. Specifically, we're wanting to hear your experiences with longer-term side effects of diagnosis and/or treatment, such as sexual issues, weight gain, chemo brain/chemo fog, bone and heart health, exercise and nutrition issues, menopausal issues, lymphedema, infertility, neuropathy, joint pain, skin/hair issues, relationship issues, work and career hurdles, and emotional issues including fear of recurrence.

    Some things to think about for your story: Have you gained a new perspective on this other side of treatment? What life lessons have you learned? What advice would you give your newly-diagnosed self? How does your "old" self compare to your "new" self? What impact has your breast cancer diagnosis made on your life? If you've become a Breast Cancer Advocate, what is your mission and how are you fulfilling it?

    If you're willing to share your perspective of your life after diagnosis and treatment, we'd love to hear from you! Please send your story via PM to the Mods along with a picture of yourself or something that represents you, and a note about how long since you've been diagnosed. Seeing these stories will surely inspire our new members, along with members just going through treatment now, to see that you CAN get through treatment and get to a new normal on the other side.

    Your story will be included with the other Members Stories photos on the main site, and may also be used in part throughout the website and/or in fundraising or event materials.

    Walked around Zoo for a couple of hours with DH and my camera while waiting for dd's college soccer game. Dh decided it was bird day so I'll be posting my bird photos on photography board later. Now back from game and at gym trying to gently work off the pain from PT's ROM stuff yesterday. Woke up feeling like a 100 year old this morning. Everything hurt.

    I'm determined to beat this and in two weeks I'll be photographing local 10 mile BC fundraiser walk so gotta get these arms and shoulders in gear.

    Patoo, glad you like your new doctor and are really settling in. I tend to stick to certain veggies myself.

    Outrunning, your dd is a cutie!

    Scottie, hope you feel better soon and have a great time at the fundraiser.

    Scheduled my biopsy for 09/30 which I suspect is just precautionary. As work is crazy busy and I have a fun filled weekend coming up, won't waste time worrying.

    Went to bootcamp as usual on Thursday night. No formal exercise yesterday as I went to a memorial service for the father of a friend who succumbed to cancer. Logged about 11000 steps today while running errands today.

    Outrunning, your daughter is darling and wishing I could stand on that bridge with you both, coatless, sunny and warm. Claire, I looked up Candy Apples and will be following her on twitter - what a hoot. Odie, you read as calm on the biopsy and keeping up steps. I'm heading out to day 2 of cancer Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation qualification class and what a tsunami of cancer information to learn. Our lecturer is Anna Campbell who is brilliant. Off I go on sunny this morning.
