Welcome, Angie! I am another person who 'exercises ahead' when I need surgery, medical procedures, even when I am traveling and know I will miss some days. So you aren't the only goofy one in that area. Loopy

Thinking of you Lisa, and praying that your surgery will be totally successful and that you will have a quick recovery.

Welcome Angiel yes this is the place for motivation, we will be your cheerleaders. Lisa thinking of you today sending healing thoughts your way. Ginger so sorry about you MIL, I'm sure you're under a lot of stress so make sure you take care of yourself too. Heidi so glad it happens on your side of the world too, there are some real "plate hoarders" in Pump, I did a class with hand weights once and one of our instructors is so popular he ends up doing the class with only a bar as all the weights are gone. Odie bootcamp sounds great except for the run part I'm hopeless at running, if you need someone to be last in a race you've found her Loopy Happy Birthday Wonderland HeartHug .

    Last night did Body Jam.

Had a nice leisurely workout today at the Big E in Massachusetts. Walked around for about 3-4 hours.

Hello ladies! Thanks for the welcome! And thanks for the info on the running thread. I arrived in NYC last night with my 13 year old daughter... We went to the Bronx Zoo today & walked around Midtown. Just returned to the hotel and see I've logged over 13,000 steps today - with no run this morning! I love this city! Walking around here is like a fun workout that you don't even notice doing. That said, I'm sure I'd feel differently if it was the dead of winter.

SoCal Lisa, hope everything went well for you today! Prayers for a quick recovery

    Welcome angiel!

a little over an hour brisk walk with grandpuppy today. Mixed it up and went to a local park that has lots of woods walking. It's where our high school cross country team trains so has a wide variety of terrain including lots of both gentle and also fairly steep hills. Feeling good. See my doctor Tuesday and expect to get return to work approval for Thursday Oct 1 โ˜บ๐Ÿ˜ฅโ˜บ๐Ÿ˜ฅ. Retirement is looking g pretty good right now after a month at home!!

Girl welcome. I should have joined this board as soon as I started exercising 8 weeks after BMx. Joined in early summer.

It is not easy going through any of the tests, procedures, surgeries or post treatments, including PT. Feel free to meltdown. I want to frequently as I approach my 1 year mark. A year of he**. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm blessed especially when I'm too tired to walk or go to the gym. Once I make myself go, I feel sooo much better emotionally. Dh is my gym rat/hike/walk buddy.

Also my motivation is the music of a band I heard in concert in June. Casting Crowns. Their leader was diagnosed with kidney cancer in the Spring and right back to the band's schedule after his surgery.

Hang in there and don't rush. I was almost 2 months from initial biopsy to BMx.

Welcome Angie! Another one who exercised throughout chemo. Anyway, I planned cycling events at the end of radiation to make sure I trained. It worked like a charm. One of these was Livestrong and one of the worst rides of my entire life. Had nothing to do with having been through cancer treatment and everything to do with the rain and wind that day. Absolutely putrid weather.

I am succeeding in keeping up my exercise regime although beyond busy with work, so very little time to check in and keep up with everyone. Planning a run later this afternoon, and the Kitsap Color Classic on Sunday.

I did read everyone's posts so mostly up to speed.

I think I am about to get 2 more projects...my head is spinning. At least I can't say I am sitting around waiting for time to pass.

Lovely autumnal weather here. Can't wait to see the lunar eclipse on Sunday! - Claire

Scottie, I love Casting Crowns. Have been to a couple of their concerts back in NJ.

Welcome Angiel. You're from Minneapolis so I'm certain NY in winter would be quite easy for you.

Sweet, retirement is really fun but tiring. I now have to learn that it's okay to not be out and about all the time.

Did 2 hours water volleyball, then walked at one of the squares along the lake (thought the dragonboats were going to be out today) then went and walked at the newest wildlife preserve (wildlife hasn't gotten the notice yet as didn't see any fish, alligators or birds) and then watched people and their dogs at the new dob park. I'm wiped out.

    Night sculpted friends.

Sending healing thoughts to SoCal Lisa as well as Ginger' s MIL.

Welcome Angiel. And a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Wonderland!!!!

Exercise today was walking around after work at a local home show. DH had to work a booth for his employer so I met him after work to check out a few things. Will get lots of walking in tomorrow while attending a team building event at a local amusement park. (Too bad the weather is supposed to be rainy all day.)

    Have,a good weekend everyone!

Hello everyone! It has been a crazy, busy week! I have logged 76,000 steps on my Fitbit. My days have been at the gym and the walking trail. My cousin added me to her challenge group, which has definitely made me work harder.

    Wonderland-Happy Birthday๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ‰!

Scottiemom-music is so motivational. I always have music playing.

Patoo-water volleyball sounds fun. My daughter is practicing volleyball right now and is having her challenges w/ setting. We are going to practice over the weekend.

Sweet- I am glad to hear that your laparoscopic went smooth, as that gives me hope for mine. I am going to be scheduled this week for a date in October. I will keep you posted.

    HB-That poster is great!

Annie88, just as I can run for an hour in the water but only seconds on dry land, I love water volleyball but probably would break my neck trying to do it on land or in the sand.

Exercise today was walking around at one farmer's market and then at an outdoor craft fair.

    Night sculpted friends.

Ugly weather this weekend, but walked around the subdivision up and down the hills with ds for couple of hours in the drizzle looking for deals. Got some great computer games for $1 each, got home and found out EA now protects all their games with one-time install codes. $5 lesson. Oh well at least I walked 3 miles and got 30 stairs on fitbit for the hills.

Hi! A busy weekend so just checking in quick. No exercise yesterday because we took a spontaneous road trip to spend the evening with some good friends before they take off to Arizona for the winter. Today I had lots of projects but walked awhile & did 45 minutes of toning with Denise Austin.....okay, back to the projects!!!

This morning went to Grit Cardio and then house cleaning, it's still super hot here I so want it to be fall, yesterday I had 3 showers Loopy

love you ladies. Thanks for keeping me motivated.

In Richmond today for the UCI (Cycling) world championships. Men's Juniors and Elite Women. My mom and I were serious cycling fans from 1992-2006 I was at many many pro races including the 96 Olympics and the Tour de France. I lost mom 8 years ago yesterday. Finally seeing a Worlds if huge for me.

    Walked 7.2 miles.

And at the race expo today I bought a TENS pain thing. You could try them in the booth and it helped the pain from my cording. I thought what the heck. If is found that booth earlier I might have saved the money I spent on a souvenir worlds jersey. I foolishly packed a pull over fleece and the weather was such I kept wanting to take it off and on. Well that motion still hurts and is getting worse due to the AWS So I went looking for something zip front. But of course the only item I was interested in, in my size, was like the most expensive thing there. But I love it so ...

Going to pass out now. Have to be up super early to get a good spot on the climb for tomorrow

Happy Birthday, Wonderland! (Sorry I missed your post.)

Patoo, take it easy on retirement. Outrunning, so cool! I want to learn swing, too, but I'm afraid of getting all the steps mixed up with salsa and tango. I think I should just concentrate on one thing at a time. Kindergarten, that must have been a lot of lifting and running.

Went for a beautiful autumn bike ride with DH yesterday.

Outrunning, that sounds awesome to see the Worlds! Enjoy! I've often wondered about those TENS things. Please update on what you think of it.

    Hbcheryl, your classes are inspiring!

I logged 8 miles yesterday walking around NYC. Did the 9/11 Museum & tour. Easily the best museum tour in my life...so emotional, inspiring, beautiful...there just aren't words.

Yesterday was another gorgeous perfect weather day. i walked 2 hrs and 23 minutes plus went to the grocery store. I had over 20,200 something steps on my phone app and didn't even carry it all day. Needless to say I slept soundly last night.

Nothing specific yesterday. DS and future DIL surprised us with an overnight visit when they picked up grandpuppy after a few days away so that was very nice. 60 minute walk today - had a slightly sore throat this morning so hope I'm not coming down with anything.

    Keep on keepin' on everyone!

    The cycling championships sound wonderful.

Sounds like you are having a great trip too, Angiel (you do realize that we are almost neighbors since I live in North Dakota).

Beautiful fall day here; did some pilates this morning and took a long walk just now.

At the gym trying to get 30 minutes on treadmill. Tonight is the supermoon eclipse so going to try to photograph it through our thick clouds. Oh for a clear night. . .

No moon visible in CloudyLanta. Camera and tripod were all set up, how disappointing.

I will leave you with this photo taken here in NM tonight by someone. Does not get any better than this folks!

Great picture Jazzygirl - thanks for sharing!! Way better than what I could see last night.

Ruthbru - where in ND are you? For as close as we are, I've never been to ND. I grew up in SD :)

Heading out for a run now & then reformer pilates at 10:30.

Happy Monday everyone! Make it a great day!
