Catching up, UGh several pages behind!. My quest to find a HVAC unit is totally brain arresting. I am easily diverted to more interesting stuff.

Quennie, 'Nothing going on here but gardening, thank deity'. takes on a whole new meaning for us. Boring is good, so good...............

Junie, sorry you don't qualify for services, but it's better to know than not know. Now I hope the other posts about finding money can help. They're really is money out there, it's just a tedious plodding job finding it. Thank you on the safety report re: your apartment :) It is very much appreciated. It calms the nurse in me to know you are safe :)

" the NW Seniors & Disabilities folks said they couldn't help me on a short-term basis, but if I needed help for the long-term that would be different. But I would have to pay a percentage of my income for those services." Did the evaluate for those services? My friend that I talked into applying for those services pays 20$ a month for meals on wheels 5 day/wk, 2 days/wk 2 hours each day, cell phone with alert stuff. medicaid and coverage of her medicare insurance. It took 15 months for her to move up on the wait list. Government. She broke a femur that healed very poorly. Getting around isn't easy. Her meals on wheels meals actually cover two meals a day b/c what they bring exceeds what she can eat. Her grocery bill went way down. The 20$ turned out cheap. Her Soc Sec Disability is about 1200$ a month with no savings. So, she may be eligible for allot more.

Loverly, Loving Vietnamese 101. Wondered about the Miss. Better that being Bat LOL Bat Sassy. You know the interpretation here would be crazy :)

Jazzy, I've made progress on the Cobalt. I will send you pics of the stuff and you can say YAY or NAY.

Shep & FF ' You are so right Ashley is a milksop. Yes maturity does change perspective on Melanie." I agree.

Lookie, almost done, what fun. So wish I could empty the house and paint the whole thing. So, tired of the colors, but everything else is coordinated around the colors. The basic color two colors are chosen b/c of Christmas. BUT I need a change. More pics soon of the RENO. please.

Smarrty what a fun idea with the frame.

jazzy, Chevy left. She's on the older woman's thread.

Junie, the HVAC is fine. It's 17 years old. Usual for a Trane in Florida is 14 years. Other lesser brands 12 years. Doing this preemptively. Donnie DBF is an HVAC guy. I can get a unit at cost. Labor is 50% of install. it's a realistic move. Hate to replace something that's working, but it's a smart move for lot's of boring reasons.

Mags, good about the teeth. Sorry, about loosing your old Gibson friend, but nice to know it will be so well cared for . AND you can visit often :)

Yeah! ! Had us worried there for a bit. Seem to take a long time. So happy you are a grandma now ;).

We can compete with baby pics!

Hi everybody else. Nothing new or exciting here. Boring should never be under estimated. When life is not boring then something good or bad is going on. My youngest DS used to complain that we were boring. He has learned to appreciate boring. He now has a 10 & 13 kids.

Hi friends- popping in for a quick hi during a break here at the client site. I have a meeting with my client in another 45 min, then will finish up some things and then head out to meet some friends/colleagues for beers and snacks. The highlight of my day for sure!

JazzyJune- it can get really hot here in the summer, I have seen it up to 105 or so in the worse of the summers. In general, we are in the 90's starting in late May until July when the monsoons usually start. Then we are back into the 80's. If there are no good summer rains, we tend to be in the 90's to 100s for months. Trust me, this is not fun! That being said, it is not hot here like Phoenix or Tucson get. I heard it is already hitting the 90's in southern AZ this week. They are low desert, we are high desert, hence the difference in temps!

Susan- whew about Claire and little Elena. For a preemie, that sounds like a good weight. I don't know much about birthin' no babies, but have seen friends go through preemies and know if they are over 5 pounds, usually they are fine. I hope everyone is doing okay and that you will share pictures with us when things are more stable. I love the name too!

Sassy- thanks for telling me about Chevy. I know folks move around and since I cannot be here regularly, I have a hard time keeping up.

Gotta get back to the grind. Wishing you all a good wrap up to the week. Will pop in again soon!

Oh the joy to see the news that Elena is here and everyone is well. Thank you for keeping us posted. Can't wait for the picture.

Mag, Happy Belated Birthday. Your friends are so talented. Love Mary's voice...very soothing.

Ms. Sas, no, you are too young to be called bat. That would not be right. Ha!

I would love a boring life right now, but then how would we grow?

Ok, on my lunch break and soup is getting cold
