Oh man..... You got THAT right! Just been working out in the yard, moving huge pots over to another spot, raking up the pine needles and twigs left over from our Blue spruce tree.... The ground is still frozen! You would THINK that the sun would help it thaw out.... but Nooooooo!

That's alright.... a lot of stuff to keep me busy, and out of mischief. Winking

Well, it's pretty quiet around here except for the big dog. Even though he's deaf, he senses a a disturbance in the force, and he's being vocal about it. And he has a loud voice. Cousin is at church, DH and I occupying separate rooms right now, and he's laying halfway between letting out a loud bark every few minutes. It's very tense

Mags- thinking of you tonight. I hope you can just get some good rest before you go to talk to your MO this week. I know you will have lots to discuss with him/her.

Glad to hear your kitten is doing well. I remember she is quite a cutie from the last photo.

    Hello Everyone,

So sorry Mags that you are struggling so. (((HUGS)))!

Smaarty - That first shower after surgery is always so wonderful, isn't it? So glad that you'll be getting the drains out soon.

Poppy - I'll be with Loverly and the others on the 9th. It might be a little tight there in your pocket.

WildT - I hope you enjoyed your night out and your cold is better.

Loverly - So glad your Dad is doing better and continuing towards recovery. How is Mitzy doing? Did you decide to try a different version of the Honest Kitchen food? or something else?

Chevy - I was out raking & sweeping on Saturday because we were blessed with some dry, slightly sunny weather for one day. However, as usual I was really hurting that night and the the last couple days. But, I know I'll do it again. It always makes me feel good to see everything all neat and tidy. At least until Mother Nature decides to blow again.

My muscles, ribs, shoulders & hips were hurting so much from the yard work that I was mostly a couch potato on Sunday. Kirby was restless and wanted to go for a walk. So, I decided to use my power wheelchair and walk him that way. All was going well until Kirby suddenly stopped in front of me to shake himself and I didn't see him quick enough and my chair rolled over his right front paw. He was crying in pain and holding his paw up. I feel absolutely awful and it was horrifying to see him in pain. I rushed him to the Emergency Vet, but after examining him, they didn't feel Kirby's paw is broken. Just sprained badly. He is now on anti-inflammatory & pain meds, plus his activity is restricted. I have to carry him to and from the potty area and he has to keep as still as possible for a 4 mos. old puppy. He has a very noticeable limp, but we go back to the vet on Wednesday. He seems to have forgiven me.

Well that's all for now. I'll say goodnight to all and I hope everyone sleeps well tonight.

    Goodmorning Feline!

So Junie! WHAT did you do? Rake the whole North 40 in one swell foop??? You went out there and done yourself IN! And now everything hurts! I must be one tough ole' what-ever-I-am to be doing it as much as I do.... But I did it again yesterday! I just love being able to see SUN and warm air, and I have to get out in it! Nothing hurts so far. I have a lot more to do though.... so just a little at a time.

You don't go out building a garage in one day, you know.... It all takes time. And get a "kneeler"..... That things helps you get down on your knees and get back up again!

Sorry about the Kirbs... Yes, those accidents will happen.... and it makes us feel worse than them!

Junie- I am glad little Kirby is okay. Puppies and kittens get under us unexpectedly. Forgive yourself and give your puppy lots of love and hugs. Animals unlike people are often very forgiving!

I moved things around yesterday getting my room ready for a foster cat. Got up this morning and was sore in many places. I think I need to get some regular exercise. Nothing I moved was heavy. I had Goodwill bags in the room and they needed to go. Once he meets my cat and it goes well, he'll have the run of the house.

I heard from Patty just now. She's back in the hospital for the same reasons, vomiting, big D etc. Told her everybody is asking about her and rooting for her. She's not up to updating BCO right now but sends her love and misses us all.

Chevy- I have been thinking about Patty, not seen her here in awhile. Thank you for letting us know.

Wren- I am going through some boxes from 12 years ago when we cleaned out our moms house and going to pack up a bunch of stuff to take to a new thrift store I found that loves the old stuff. Kept a few goodies, but the rest is outta here. Glad you got some things together for Goodwill. Hope your new kitten enjoys his/her new home!

Chevy, thanks for the update on Patty. I've been praying for her. Poor kid has sure been going thru hell, and this can't be easy on her family either.

hi guys, had the drains removed today, yeah. Shortest time, only one week. Now I have to remember, just because you can, doesn't mean you should. PS says to keep my arms down at least 2 weeks after sx. So I just need to be good. Haha

Junie, hope Kirby is ok, maybe he'll learn faster about watching out for your chair.

Mags, hope whatever decision you make is best for you. Only you know what's right.

Hope everybody is hanging in there as best you can.

  • Just wanted to pop in and wave hello. Need to read catch up. I worked a double yesterday and then was back at work early this morning....I'm beat.

Mags my thoughts are with you. I love the ladies here and the advise/thoughts they gave you. I'm here for you as well if you need anything.

    Junie-how's Kirby?

Smaarty-glad things went well for you and that drains are out.

Need to catch up on the rest tomorrow. Have my first f/u with MO tomorrow, since starting Tamoxifen.

Goodnight all before I ramble mor

  • Thank you for the news on Patty, praying for some better days for her, she has been bearing so much.

Aww no, not again! Poor Patty!

Feeling good today. We got about 3 inches of snow yesterday and they said this morning on the news that the storm they were thinking might come my way isn't coming at all. But it will get colder here by the end of the week.

Mags and Patty ~ hoping for a February of beauty and kindness and healing.

Smaarty - So glad those drains are gone!! Hows it all feeling up there?

Junie - Kirby update? Dont feel too bad it happens. When I was little I rescued a baby chick, made him a house out of a shoebox and all. Didnt have him long, my dad (wearing big old workboots) accidentally stepped on the little guy as it ran around the house...he felt worse than I did so sad.

Enerva - Love those crochet roses! I sew and quilt but have put knitting/crochet on my list

Wild t - I'm thankful my kids were young adults (though they still need a little more parenting at times!) by my DX. Cant imagine going through kids surgeries in the midst of all this. Hoping removing those pesky tonsils helps both kiddos.

Sensi - Good luck at MO appt, hope all is well. Are you resting enough?

Loverly - Dad doing ok these days? Hope the B vitamin helped him. Wondering if I should continue taking it or not? How are you?

Thank you everyone for the good wishes for my surgery, I'm gonna appreciate the full pocket on this one for sure. I've been preoccupied with another surgery...little Gus had his man parts surgery yesterday Sad. Picking him up in a couple hours.
