Grace has a new nickname. I call her “Thunder Paws” because she makes so much noise when she runs.

Rah2464 - very witty about Of Mice and Men! NerdyHad not thought of that!

Think she is trying to find a reference to 'cat' in the bible! (Apparently there is only one, and depends on the version whether it has it or not)

my granddaughter would object. She gave him a Roman name because of his regal attitude. He is an 18 pound lap cat. Even loves strangers

He's big enough I'd hesitate to take him on for possession of the chair.

Thanks. She just started that this week. Lately she and my older black cat Princess have taken a notion into their heads that when I am not in my chair for a prolonged period of time, they lay in the chair together. Will have to get a picture of this

    Nerdy

She is the same age as Alannah!

Alannah is tiny! The cat shelter said she was the runt of her litter.

One of my two sister kitties is the runt. I think that explains why she would never approach me confidently for snuggles, but would stop by my feet... she was accustomed to being pushed to the side, I am sure. I started bringing her in close whenever she'd stop a foot or two away, and petting her and praising her every time she approached me, and now she shoves in a lot more often, and has turned out to be a real cuddler!

Alannah is gorgeous! She looks like a smaller version of my Princess. The only difference is that Princess's eyes are gold colored

My user picture was my first black cat Charcoal, who I lost to kidney failure in 2014. He and his Sheltie “brother” saw me through the tough parts of this fight.

I am so sorry... His picture is adorable! Losing them is painful. My baby Merlot is by my side more than my DH in this fight. She was not leaving me more than 5 minutes after my oophorectomy . Cats are wonderful, they value their freedom and that is the misunderstood part. Often Dog people think cats are not as loyal as dogs. So wrong!😻🙀😾

There is something so much sweeter about a cat's devotion. It is not stupid/programmed devotion. It is optional!! Therefore when it happens it feels very meaningful.
