Just checking it out. I didn’t do this tree last year, he was still a baby. Nothing breakable on it. Just hope he leaves it alone and doesn’t chew anything.

Spookie,, Good luck with your tree. We've had cats who took off every ornament they could reach and some who just realized how majestic they looked next to the lights.

Mac climbs our tree - has since he was a kitten. I shouldn’t let him but he is an indoor only cat (a fact that makes him furious on a routine basis) and I figure its his only chance to enjoy nature. My husband does not approve of this naturally, but I have convinced him to wire the tree to three different hooks placed in the walls/ceilig and that at least keeps it upright. Mac’s not all that interested in the ornaments - he just likes to climb in and sit on a branch. Then after the tree comes down he basically has to be shaved because he is matted with pine sap. Sometimes I wish I did not worry quite so much about my cats feelings!

So I thought I’d be smart and not put glass on the tree in case he knocked it over. I have a lot of felt ornaments I’ve made over the years, from kits. Apparently they are more fun than nip mice. Rotten cat.
