Interesting, I only read a headline a bit ago —- I might have read more but I'm not at a fan of Dr. Phil. I do believe he was one of those who in fact Oprah Winfrey brought to fame.

At any rate, it said that Dr. Phil had taken back his apparent endorsement of the FG. I suppose, better late than never. I guess I'd also say you do have some confidence Dr.? if you would offer an endorsement anyway of a human like that. A brave thing to do. Not something for the squeamish for sure.

I don't care for the not now so famous Dr. Oz either. I feel for Oprah who I have in fact always liked and really do see her as being in a lot of struggle over her lifetime and life circumstances. She was only searching in her own way for help for herself that she was willing to share. If, after a time those she looked to got to the area of being somewhat abusive charlatans I think it wasn't quite that way in the beginning. Just sometimes I think you can get caught up in your own hype — especially when money, fame, and national tv attention turn your head. In fact, where Oz was concerned, I don't think he knew how to get off the 'stage', if he wanted to. People kept going to 'the' show, so he kept going. It became though pretty transparent that material to present was harder and harder and to me more foolish.

I am heartbroken at what my country has become. I am ashamed to say I am an American. I am ashamed at white women voting 53% for a man who will destroy their daughter's and granddaughters lives.

We have become the laughing stock of the world and have lost all rights conveyed by the Constitution; they will work hard to strip us of them just like they did with Roe vs. Wade. I am ashamed to say I am an American and will never defend the orange blob when foreigners criticize him. Hopefully we can gain control of the House since the Senate has been lost. Fingers crossed.

I am heartbroken. It was un-thinkable almost to me and yet we are treated once again to a madman — and one that is older, sicker, and even more dangerous. I always let the thought come, because it happened before, this un-thinkable thing, but I still couldn't really conceive of people allowing it — especially a second time.

I'm not sure how long he can last in his condition in charge. And no matter which Reps. is there what can and or won't be implemented. Many of the things' FG says he wants likely are not even feasible — like the mass deportations. I do worry about those who will lose power and control and those like Elon Musk and Robert Kennedy who I'm sure will not have any positive effect at all.

Seems like many in our world are going to have to feel the worst again because they sure didn't seem to GET how good things had become for them. I understand that to a degree, but I'm horrified that they have drug me along with them and consigned me to living even poorer than I had to during what was starting to be the best recovery ever. Damn people — how could you miss that ???

How soon will FG start his vengeance programs because he sure got a lot of validation for them from the Supreme Court. So many questions. Not much consolation but my heart hurts for everyone today — even for those who I think have no idea what they just did. It's going to be rough, and pretty painful —- I'm already wondering how I'm going to keep going, but I will. This is not my America right now.

They apparently want things they think the government can get for them. What they are going to get now are much higher prices of goods and services. Perhaps they are in for the surprise of their lives which are about to get substantially worse.

It is noticeable to me that no one seems to care — and I doubt Merrick Garland is going to do much either.

Well Harris did not win, but here we are and it is hard to pinpoint a why for this. Why people (so many who I'm sure had to know the real truth of FG. It is that much easier to believe the lies, to believe a person like FG has real power. You people did not let him lose — but that doesn't mean you won.

Imagine sacrificing your wife and daughter’s freedom and well-being for a discount on milk and eggs.

These are the things that will plague in the months ahead. Have we become that dumbed down that we can no longer figure out who is REALLY for us.

If it's going to take another four yrs. of this guy, so be it I guess, but we can bring America back — as difficult as it will be, but sadly even then a much rougher place for ALL to be.

My youngest daughter, who teaches at a low income, predominantly Hispanic school here in LA, told me she suspected that Harris would lose based on the mock election they held on Monday. Trump won with 70% of their votes. She and her fellow teachers were stunned. As am I.

How did the Harris campaign not see that coming? And the thought that older white women, as a group, would vote to save their daughter's and granddaughter's bodily autonomy? Laughable. And so damned heartbreaking. The country I thought I knew does not exist. It was all an illusion, a monumental act of self delusion.

What strange Deja vu. Trishyla it is such a good question, why Harris didn't see. I was somewhat blinded by all that was taking place that seemed so highly positive for VP Harris. Yet there are internal types of information we are not privy to — and likely will never quite hear about even now. In my capacity — I expect to give a whole lot of wt. to many of the good aspects but people much, much higher on the chain are supposed to know what things MIGHT really mean.

That said, as the saying goes — marry in haste, regret in leisure. I do think there will be some massive regrets going on because borrowing another old saying — chickens will come home to roost. I'm sure Democrats in high places will work as hard as possible to try and soften our landing, but we are in for abuse and pain. That young and old and women somehow were able to deny that reality is an amazing and frightening thing because I would have and did give them so much more credit. I thought they had the power of reason and common sense and they seem to me now to have had neither.

The days ahead will be long and a bit lonesome, but regrets — oh how I think they will come. I don't know if they will all be admitted, but despite not apparently seeing it well, when what President Biden got for us is removed — now I think that may be a whole lot easier to see.

You know, I'm sitting here with the sun shining on me through my window (after two long gray days of rain) just thankful for the sun. It is helping me start to sort things. All the shame, blame and regret in the world is not going to help us now.

We now wait and when 2025 starts to materialize let the others have their shame, blame and regrets and I am really sure they will. If you never quite GOT how much Trump is for himself and full of hatred and vengeance, you will have 4 yrs. to figure it out.

I'm upset and scared, but I have no choice but to go on for my family and all the people I love and I will find the way.

I found this story on NextDoor and thought it bore sharing:

For those of you who woke up (or finally went to bed) this morning in despair, feeling hopeless and angry and bewildered: Late last night, my brother wrote to everyone in my family, and said, "How do we move forward?" My 96 year old father replied, "We will rise to the challenge. "I have told this story a hundred times, but it bears repeating: My then 88 year old father had put a tremendous amount of effort in the election of 2016. I was very concerned about him when the results were for the other candidate. I called him the morning after, and he answered the phone very cheerfully. I said, "oh my God, you don't know what happened, do you?" Dad said, "what happened?". I told him the electoral college count. He said, "oh I know!" I said, "Are you all right? I was very concerned about you you've put so much time and effort into this campaign.  I was worried that you would be in bed under the covers, completely depressed." He said, "oh, no-- now we get to work".  There was a tremendous energy in this campaign. Let's harness that and keep moving.

I think we should heed the wisdom of this elderly man and "rise to the challenge".

Nothing like a good challenge to settle your doldrums and give you an energetic focus. The next two years should be highly interesting and if fortune has a smile tucked away - well, who knows.
