Irish - I just love hearing about all of the animals in your area. It must be such a pleasure. As always, so very sorry that you can't seem to get a break health wise. I agree, there are just too many side effects. I really wish the medical community would work a lot harder on that problem.

KBL - Yes, please tell Carol/Sunshine Merry Christmas from me too. I hope she has a joyful and peaceful time with her friends and family. It is so nice that you are helping her out with all of this. Merry Christmas to you too!

KBL, I would like to send Carole a Merry Christmas from me too, we all love and are thinking of her too.

@micmel I am sending you my best wishes for the holiday season too, some hugs in there as well.

I am finding the new microwave a challenge for cooking times but that is fine, multiplying the time by 1.57 since it is only a 700 W seems to work. The plus side is that with 700 W microwave, I could use my Dash egg cooker at the same time since they are 350 to 400 watt which will not trip the circuit breaker.

Got my laundry going, I like to do 12 mins first in the wash, let it sit thefor 15 mins put it in the spin cycle for 1 minute to spin out extra soap. Then put in with plain water, run washer for 2 to 3 mins to do another rinse and spin for another 30 seconds to a minute and then do the softener cycle which is mostly vinegar with a bit of fabric softener to make it smell good, run that 6 mins and do the final spin. It works very well. Blankets are mainly 3 mins for wash and the softener, let drip dry over the edge for a bit and put into the panda. I am planning to have someone fix the old washer as it is still working and a practical size, make it easy to do big loads or blankets and cloths, I will have to see what I can do. It is also fine in the bedroom closet as well.

I discovered my own new way to do up lentils yesterday that works for me, can make the rice and lentils, may add an egg today. I like a generous amount of cooking spray and rubbing a stick of butter on the hot pan, adding garlic sometimes then adding premade rice, lentils and shredded cheese though today may have to do without until I pull out another bag of cheese. I also may try to make some quesadillas in the mini griddles. I could use a clean can that would hold tuna and use that to cutdown the tortillas to the right size, put whatever I want in the middle and heat everything, sounds good.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good day, I am in pockets for everyone, in my own to get my tasks done, floor swept, mopped and vacuumed, order as needed. Use my sock mop to get between stuff in the kitchen that the mop cannot get into. The only thing I am thinking of is that when the weather is good, go shopping or go to McDonalds on the Paratransit if I want a burger meal. Cheaper than UBER with a lift. No need to worry about waiting outside for the bus, I wait inside instead. Must save for trips on it though but liking the idea.

I just had a good idea as well, if I want Mcdonalds, pick it up on Wednesday since it is across the street or get groceries from the no frills across the street after my chemo and then head back to the hospital and order a return trip from Paratransit after I picked up what I wanted to. Might be a good plan since hospital appointments have variable wait times, I book the ride home when I am done.

I am not caught up yet, but I'm going to comment now while I'm thinking about it.

@mara51506 - I'm sorry about your unclear MRI results, and I think you are taking the perfect approach to dealing with it. I loved the thought of a virtual "mom hug" easing you into sleep.

@sondraf - ugh. What a runaround! How about just a virtual hug? Maybe your doc could annotate your record about the phantom fevers?

Carol, good to hear from you. I can see why you'd be not introspective right now.

KBL - I know we've talked, but I really appreciate your openness about your decision process

It's nice to see faces (ok, names) we haven't seen in awhile.

kbl - wishes of peace to you and Carol. Prayers that the hospice process brings much comfort and lots of time for both of you🙏🏻🙏🏻.

Sondra - what a roller coaster every time you get in the hospital! You must have the patience of a saint.

Irish - wish I could sit and watch the animals with you. My MIL always called this sort of thing live tv. Hope your other medical issues clear up for the holidays.

Mel - thinking of you❤️. I hope the message of the season can lighten your heart some after a year of so much loss.

Sending hugs to everyone. My Christmas list has only one thing on it and suspect it is the same for all.

Thank you kbl, that is very appreciated, good holiday wishes for you and yours as well. May hospice bring comfort to you as well as our sunshine Carol.

I slept well too, little later to bed than I should be but slept solidly. Already finished PT from bed which is good. Planning large load of laundry throughout the day, towel and couple of cloths first. Nothing is super soiled so shorter cycles, will have to spin towel and cloths for 1 min to remove extra soap, do a 2 to 3 min rinse plain water, spin for 1 min again then add the fabric softener/vinegar rinse and toss in the dryer. Then will get around to blankets, I have four I can wash. If there is extra stuff needing to be done, bring the small washer out to the kitchen. Vacuum and mop with the vileda floor mop, dusting. It takes about a couple of minutes for the floor to get done for the whole apartment. Got boxes to break down and styrofoam to get rid of this week. Prefer to get them done before Tursday since garbage goes out this week.

Still planning to either put the old washer in the tub and open it up to see about clogs or get someone to come. Would need to remove the Panda spin dryer, I will have to see, going to plug it in without adding water, check both sides OR call someone today and pay for service. That other washer was a recent purchase and I don't want to throw it out. See how I feel about all the laundry.

I plan on using the fry pan and adding the cooking spray and butter to cook lentils in, beefless ground and some cheese, start burner on high, add all ingredients and turn it off and put a lid on it. Later, do something with eggs made in dash griddle, once cooled chop up with frozen veggies from the freezer heated up and heat up in the microwave with a lid, probably will add cheese as well. I will see what I think. Another option is using two of the mini griddles and make a couple of hashbrowns, toast an english muffin and have an egg sandwich, I will have to decide what appeals to me most. Still got a ton of food in my pantry as it were.

I hope everyone has a good day, still thing of Mel, Candy at Sunshine, Sondra and anyone else having a hard time but kicking life in the butt and continuing on. You all make me want to be more stoic about things. In everyone's pocket, including mine again to get everything done today.

    Catherine.

KBL - Thank you very much for passing on my good wishes to Carol/Sunshine. I really appreciate it.

Hello and good thoughts and wishes to so many of you, that I just don't haven't got the energy and brain capacity to respond to individually right now - so much brain fog! Also might have a touch of food poisoning or a stomach bug. On the other hand it could be the Verzenio. More than usual stomach and digestive problems along with extra fatigue and aches for the last few days. I thought I might have had some food that was "off" last mid week, and that that might be the source of my problems. I've been having to cancel out on a few things I had scheduled with others. I skipped a Verzenio dose yesterday morning also. I really, really hate to do that, but sometimes I just get pushed to the wall and do it. I did start to feel better yesterday afternoon. I took the evening dose and woke up with the stomach pains and other symptoms again this morning. Debating whether to take the morning dose again or not. I wish I could tell the difference between a genuine illness, i.e. a stomach bug, and these drug side effects. Sometimes I can, but sometimes not. I'm extra tired this time and actually feel a little "sick", but then when not taking the Verzenio helps, and then taking it again makes me feel worse, I have to wonder if the drug the problem. Oh well, this too shall pass, right?

Sondra - What a nice post! Sounds like you are headed up yet again, and getting at least some of this sorted out. I can't believe you've made a "business plan" for getting your holiday tasks in order. It makes perfect sense, I just wouldn't have the brain power and planning capability to do something like that will all my side effects. You are a wonder, indeed! Yes, all of these things do pass in time. If not for "normal", it passes to a new problem, but at least the old problem still goes away for awhile at least. So glad you are enjoying so much in the middle of the "not so enjoyable". Good for you!

Sondra, glad to hear from you.

Intolight, I don't blame you being so tired, it does not take much to tire out, I can empathize, I need rests when dressing so there is that.

I am frustrated, new washer/spin dryer is deeper than my old broken one so will need to take it out and put the drain hose connected to the actual drain and stop trying to use it on the stepbench that I used to as it falls forward or backward lately even with the foam mat. Connecting to the drain will keep it safe from water since the machine is actually quite a bit taller. Oh well.

Wren, I am so sorry about your family members, my condolences to you and family and friends.

I did finally set up the washer in the tub with the drain going into the plug. Hoping the plug keeps in the drain but if not, will try to use a ziptie to hold it in the drain. I will see, so tiring lifting it up and out of the tub and putting back. Not sure where the stepbench will go, possibly in the front closet, I will see if there is enough room in there. On the plus side, mopped out the tub as it was quite dirty under the washer, good to be able to clean it up.

Well, the washer is on the go in the tub. Like it better in the tub as I am doing laundry, easier and does not fall off anything. Stepbench is in my bedroom for now. I have a couple more blankets to get done today, just throw blanket size so it all should be done in the washer and spin dryer.

Got a small cold so taking some cough and cold meds but I still slept well last night which was good. I will be getting recycling and stuff together as well today as I probably will not feel like it tomorrow after the Herceptin. Cat had an upset stomach, used wet dry vac on it and mopped the floor, too maybe 30 seconds to do the apartment and the floor looks really good now. Microfibre pad and the elastics which are in a mesh bag were added to the wash. Just have to wash down the vacuum I used to pick it up.

Still have a good appetite, thinking I want to make the cheeseburger idea, cheese, beefless ground and lentils. Heat them up in thee frypan with cooking spray and rubbing butter in there, perhaps some garlic too.

I do hope everyone has a good day and in pockets for all who need me.

Mara great, glad the washer is working out well for ya. Whatever is less strenuous for you the better. Hope your cold stays mild. It's running rampid in my area several friends have it and also my son. He is at the end with the annoying lingering cough. Hope it passes quickly!

I slept well again last night, went to bed earlier than usual. Cold is present as well but not too bad, will wear mask at the hospital. Got Herceptin infusion today.

Doing some laundry today. Edited feeling dizzy and sick with a cold. Calling in sick from Herceptin. I want to wash the clothes I am wearing so I can wear them again. Walking around with a cane as well. Will probably go back to bed once I can phone the hospital and paratransit and cancel my appointments.

Not sure what I want to make, possibly microwave an egg, take it out to chop with cheese and put in the frypan with beefless ground, add some seasoning, not sure what yet. I will see. I could also add a hashbrown possibly as well. No beans or lentils open right now so those will wait until tonight.

I hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for anyone who needs me as well.
