@goldensrbest In your pocket today for stable scans🤞♥️

Mel, glad you had stable scans, still in your pocket for you and Gabby.

Goldens, in your pocket as well for stability in scans too.

Nothing going on yet. The lack of snow allowed for more recycle being put out yesterday which was good.

Planning a walk after laundry, not sure where to go yet. Did my taxes with a program that pulls it all from a government website and that makes it easier. Cost about 40 dollars but that is OK.

Planning bean based meals, still got the black and white beans together to use up, plenty of cheese as well to use up, might add some rice as well. Later meal will be an egg, some beans and cheese with an english muffin.

I do hope everyone has a good day, hope all scans are stable and in anyone's pocket who needs me, in my own to get all boxes opened and flattened.

Goldens - Best of luck with those scans today! I'm betting some Buster petting beforehand will bring you good luck.

Shana - Thanks so much for your sympathies re my liver issues. The onc just referred to me as "stable" in a MyChart note a couple of days ago, so there's nothing really urgent thank goodness. He says it's fine to wait for the next 3 month scans and see how they look before deciding anything. It's just that in the meantime, he'd like me to consult with an IR and consider a liver biopsy. I'm just going to take it as it comes, one day at a time. Thank you too for updating us re your painful hip issue. I've been thinking about you too, and wondering how that was going for you. Such a busy day at your clinic - a shame you weren't able to ask them about your hip. I've got my fingers crossed that what you are dealing with is some sort of muscle issue from side effects or something and not anything like progression. Thanks for being in my pocket and you can be sure that I'm in yours too.

Threetree, in your pocket as we speak, I am referred as stable although sometimes enhancement is in the MRI of my brain and sometimes not mentioned, blood pool is always there. I am glad he will wait 3 months for you. Hoping that life for you will move along as normal and like it that your onc is willing to wait and see.

Shana, in your pocket as well as you navigate your neck and can appreciate the description of being a broken car that needs a repair, apt description for what we go through.

Mara - Thanks so much for your helpful thoughts. I too am real glad that my onc weighs things carefully and is willing to wait, consider various options, etc. My previous onc was not, and that's one reason I left her. As with your brain MRI's depictions, "stable" doesn't always mean completely OK, but it does mean nothing particularly new or urgent, and I'm glad for both you and me, that that's the deal.

I too can really relate to Shana's analogy of the broken down car, always in need of some kind of repair. That's a good one for sure.

@threetree ooh I’m relieved to hear your MO’s Stable opinion. I read MyChart regularly and I’m so glad you have settled answers now. Over the years I have had scans that read “fatty liver, or enlarged liver, but now it. Always reads normal. So I thing our system changes from time to time. My lungs also have changed over the years, depending on what I;ve been experiencing at the time of scansmregarding benign nodules or striations. I. Also have developed asthma since. The early 2000’s, after having Pnemonia on year. I guess now I’m most affected by congestion after my treatment injections with a cough that doesn’t go away, as described in the. SE list. Thank you for your kind words @threetree , and as always I’m in your pocket.

@mara51506 Thinking of you my girl. You mentioned blood pool always showing in your brain. I can relate to that. I have an area in my brain that always shows up on scans from my large brain bleed in 2005. I had a Hemorrhagic stroke with a large bleed from a popped vessel that left me in a coma for 3 days. Drs said I was a miracle for coming out of it. With no deficits at the time.. So Mara, I’m in your pocket all the time, and. Sending you. Gentle hugs my girl..

Shana, thank you for your support, I am glad you made it out with no deficits.

@shanagirl Hey there had a feeling you were not feeling to great, I'm so sorry to hear this. It just stinks you had gotten relief from the neck with the last injection now the back is acting up! Sometimes you just can't stay up for air to long, terrible. I understand you fears as it's so hard to tell if it's "old age stuff" or the cancer acting up. Sending good thoughts and strength your way as you wait for scans. Hugs.

Thinking of so many here hope you are all faring ok. Happy Spring hope it brings in lots of good things for everyone.🌷💕

I did terrible with diet today. Ordered from one burger joint that was about 10.00 more expensive and did not taste so good, wound up chucking out about half of it. Tonight, decided to go with Mcdonalds and the meal plus delivery and tip total 10.00 less, might as well stay with what I like.

Shana - Definitely in your pocket for your neurosurgeon consultation next week. I had one about 2 years ago after some fractures in my vertebrae and it was really worthwhile. It really cleared up confusion and explained options in ways that made lots of sense. Sounds like a nice, quiet, and peaceful morning you are having. Those are soooooo very nice!

Shana, in pockets for neurosurgeon consult and scans and glad you are not coughing for sure.

Late start for me, slept well but in bed late caused me to wake up about 2 hours ago, not on a schedule so no big deal.

Have not done much, did pay renters insurance, done once a year so between that and taxes, feeling like a winner in the money organization. I will say, having taxes able to be done online and all the forms load up into the program is so much easier for me to do.

I did have a healthy meal, 1/2 cup black and white beans, sprinkled some cheese and added broccoli salad mix. Put in a big bowl after chopping all items up and microwaved 3 mins, melted some garlic spread when it came out, squirted a bit of ranch dressing and sprinkled with salt and some sour cream and onion seasoning. Nice and filling, did take one immodium, I do that automatically when I consume greens, prevents big D and when taking one only, does not turn off the plumbing. Beans and other things do not cause problems that way, only greens, last meal will be an egg sandwich in the interest of using up english muffins and eggs. Might put one of my meatless chicken patties on as well. Time will tell.

I hope everyone's day is going well, in pockets for anyone who may need me. Out of my own pocket for finishing taxes and paying insurance for this year too.

@mara51506 Good job paying your taxes. A lot of people can't do that alone.

@shanagirl Will be thinking of you during your consultation. I am sure you are anxious.

Quiet day for me here. So far my SEs from the Orserdu are mild once I figured out how to swallow them. My calendar is unusually empty until my brain MRI on the 30th. Hoping to keep it that way.

    Take care everyone.

@chicagoan I remember Zarovka well. Thanks for the memory. We have been on here a long time! Good job navigating the train in Japan. What a lovely experience you are having. I barely managed to make brownies today… such is our life.

chicagoan, I taught there for a year and lived in Tokyo. Getting around was bewildering at first, but fortunately, many people speak English. What will you be seeing while you are there?

Good almost midnight all. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, but I have been keeping up on all you sweet girls. I traveled first time since diagnosis, on a long trip. The train ride was grand, the plane ride back to our home was terrible.

Frankly I think it's humiliating that Frontier Airlines treats disabled folks terribly. They park your wheelchair or walker and basically drag you to your seat. They call it "escorting to your seat", I call bullshit. The gal 2 rows in front of me was dragged to her seat. She has motor neuron disease. Why on god's name don't they have wider aisle and place these folks towards front of plane instead of 1/2 way point. Late 4 1/2 hrs., changed gates, they called in airline attendents because they were short staffed and said employees were cleaning seats and floor to make the next turnaround. The ramp would not connect with the plane. Maintainence was called with no luck. So we had to back up and proceed to another ramp. Made us another 1/2 hour late to Jax, TSA was a problem as I was carring meds. I told them not to xray Ibrance and preferred not to have the other meds xrayed. They went thru everything and without telling me, confisciated my BPC meds and Claritain meds. I didn't have those two in original boxes. First and last time on Frontier. Cheap, dirty and unfriendly.

In pockets and missed all the love and comfort from you'all and to you'all.

Thank you, Chicagoan, for thinking of me, as you are in JAPAN!!! Wow.

My cataract surgery got moved, due to their schedule. It was to be last Monday the 17th but was moved to this Monday the 24th. And my second eye was to be 1 week later but now is 3 days later (on Thursday). So I am having the surgeries this upcoming week.

Reading along on here each day. Hugs to all.

Irish - Good to hear from you; I was wondering. Oh, the train sounds like it was good. I think sometimes we forget about the train, when it can do the job and actually be more interesting than any plane. Frontier sounds awful! I don't travel much, but I'm filing your experience away for future reference. I'm sorry you had to go through all of that. Maybe the train both ways next time?

Candy - Sorry about your surgery getting changed. You shouldn't have to get jerked around like that. I will be thinking of you and wishing you all the luck - with a hug.

Goldens - Good luck with your injections on Monday, and hugs to you too!

@irishlove Oh your plane experience sounds terrible! I have just about decided to never fly again. It is especially difficult with oxygen anyways. Thank you for checking in.

@candy-678 I am sorry your cataract surgery was delayed, but it will soon be behind you. I will be thinking of you on Monday and Thursday!

@goldensrbest and @shanagirl Your injections sound scary, but I am praying for good outcomes.

Irish, airlines just want to squish so many passengers in that everything is hard to get into. Not a good way to get disabled folk in by dragging them either. There should be a percentage of either first class or another section with wider aisles to allow for walkers, wheelchairs and such and save the dignity of the disabled.

Zarovka was an amazing person, she helped me to get active which I am sorely lacking now and was such an inspiration to me. I miss her very much, the fitness thread she took over was active when she spoke about the need to stay active and she came up with the Stage V title.

Tough old crow, amazing trip you took in Japan, I would love to go there someday. Would probably go with my niece as she likes to travel and can do it frugally.

Intolight, brownie making is great, I rarely bake. Yes I like food combos but mine are usually easy to prepare.

Chicagoan in your pocket for the upcoming trip to Japan.

Just woke up again at 12pm, allowing myself to stay up too late is the culprit, it is good to sleep well but I need to set more of a schedule in the evening and start pulling back the bedtime, I would prefer to be up around 9 or 10 am which would mean earlier to bed. Have chores in the kitchen done earlier, really need to do something like that.

Little bit of laundry to do, not too much unless I just make up stuff to clean. Should sweep, mop and vacuum, I still use the air blower for dusting then use a microfiber duster to pick stuff up, vacuum then mop. I still have the robot vac but it really was a waste of money in a place with so little floor space, broom works better.

Not sure about food, thinking two meals and a bit smaller, I would like to have dinner meal around 5pm. I am hankering for an english muffin, egg and beefless ground. I would have to prepare the beefless ground combined with egg and cheese and heat in a small bowl in the microwave and later meal will be bean focused with a chicken patty, the vegan ones. I will see later.

I hope everyone's day is going well so far and I am in everyone's pocket who needs me, in my own to start pulling back on the bed time.

Wishing all the best outcomes with treatments and scans.

@shanagirl I've been doing some leathercraft and beading. The wallet is for a friend. The different sized beads cause the weave to curve and hug the rock, a turquoise.

@mara51506, I'm smoking a pork butt all day and would give you a bite.. it will be a feast tomorrow for a friend who is retiring.

Otherwise, I'm tolerating the "not medically necessary" Enhertu okay except for some nausea and hair loss, a mouth sore. White counts were low so the doc gave me a stimulator drug with treatment. Got letter from insurance saying that's not approved either. They want a different brand. Tired of their bs, not really looking forward to dealing with Medicare either. Trying to sort the alphabet soup and figure out what plan won't constantly deny everything. As if we don't have enough stress.

@mkestrel i’m just loving your beautiful leatherwork. It’s amazing how so many creatives have other artistic abilities in various areas of art with different mediums,. Just curious about the beaded item. That is real stone in the middle or is it paint skin. Love it too🩵 Also that pork butt “smells delicious” …. I used to cook that regularly, my kids loved it. I would take a smoked pork butt, put it in a big thick sauce pot, surround it with cut up peeled potatoes, on or two fresh chorizos, chickpeas, and cabbage, cover with water and et it simmer all day, when it wad tender and done, I would remove the softened potatoes into a bowl add a few pieces of cabbage leaves, some ground pepper and softened butter a small splash of heavy cream, and a pinch ov caraway seeds, and cream it all together with a large spoon or rubber spatula.and add a small ladle of the liquid from thee pot. Oh my goodness what a dish. the family always loved when I made it. it was a cheap dinner too for a large family, and when it was gone after a day or two, I made “butt soup” with the left overs.

@mkestrel you brought back a nice flashback for me, smiling as I typed. Thank you girl. I hope you are well on this beautiful day.🌷🩵
