Has anyone with Triple Negative Breast Cancer taken Xeloda that went through chemotherapy and then had a double mastectomy and lymph nodes removed? I am going to have radiation but, my oncologist wants me to take Xeloda but, I want to hear some feed back.

@chubbard97 Hi, I took Xeloda when I had my 1st recurrence on TNBC in my axillary lymph nodes. After chemo ,lymph node dissection there was still residual cancer . Then I had radiation and took Xeloda for “insurance “ due to having residual cancer in nodes after chemo.

I am currently back on Xeloda after my second recurrence now Stage IV. Has been holding me pretty stable for the past year or so. I don’t know if this information helps but head on over to the Xeloda thread for lots of info.

When you first got diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer it was not in your lymph nodes right?

@chubbard97 Correct, was Stage 1, no node involvement.

I am starting Madame X next week and just wanted to reach out to the experts about dietary restrictions.

It seems that there are a lot of foods that contain folate so I was wondering if anyone had recommendations of things to definitely avoid, my main concern is Hand and Foot Syndrome as I am an avid Pickleball player and really want to continue playing.

    Thank you 😁

    Intimacy Question?

I started Xeloda yesterday and was wondering about condoms/dental dams and what other suggestions you may have.

I appreciate any information or suggestions you may have, live goes on and its important to keep things as normal as possible.

    Thank you 🩷
