I went back several pages of posts to find a weight to use as a comparison. I got down to 174 at my lowest at home some months ago before coming north to MN in May. I weighed on Friday at the gym on the old-fashioned scale like the doctors used to have in their offices. I was 177.5, after subtracting 1 lb for my shoes. This was 1 1/2 lbs lower than the previous week. 160 is my goal. I need to get more conscientious about daily diet.

I just bought a FitBit type of smart watch. It may encourage me to be more active.

I love my fitbit, have had one for 10 years…well not one, but 2 or 3 over 10 years of tracking. Have fun with it!

    Down 1 this week.

I was a little too quick to brag about not gaining weight on vacation.....up two!! 😵‍💫

Yuck. Yesterday I was back up the 1 1/2 lbs I was down last week.

Same as last week…we start school this week, so the brag is down 13.5 pounds since last year start of school.

My COVID19 become my 2025…needed to lose 25 pounds at start of this year…slowly making my way back to March 2020 weight at lock down. Half way there in pounds, back to Nov 2021 in the timeline.

Wow, even for someone who teaches math, that was a lot of numbers 😀

Good progress, trmtab. Hope you have a great start of the school year.

That is awesome, TT! Great work!

I am down 1 of the 2 pounds I gained on vacation. This week has been, and continues to be, full of 'eating opportunities', so that isn't so bad.

My weight yesterday was the same as last week. I was glad for no gain.

I'm down 3 pounds, but that's because I've had a case of food poisoning. I wouldn't recommend it as a diet plan!

Hope you are on the mend Ruth, drink lots of fluids, dehydration is a killer.

Ruthbru, definitely a hard way to lose weight. Hope you feel good soon.

DH has been using the truck to drive to dermatologist appointments, so I haven't been to the gym to weigh. Will report whenever I have scale feedback. Not expecting loss.

I'm doing the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) to get everything back on track (plus Sprite, Gatorade & water)…..very boring, but seems to be working.

I'm well now, but still down those 2 pounds; so hopefully will continue to capitalize on more careful eating.

Glad you're well, Ruthbru. You deserve the bonus of those 2 lbs.

You're going in the right direction, down, trmtab.

I stepped on the scale with dread today at the gym and was relieved to see that I am still maintaining my 3 lb. gain of the summer. No additional gain. Whew!

Same today, was .5 down on Saturday which meant I hit my 15 lb mark…still claiming that amount and date as hitting the 15 lb goal despite the little bounce back. TT

Well, I was jump-started by a bad case of food poisoning; which I would not recommend as a weight loss technique!!

    Great job, TT!

I've been in the groove & have lost another pound.

  • Wow on both reports! I'm proud of you two. I didn't make it to the gym yesterday, so didn't weigh.

I'm going on a cruise in two weeks, so really need to be down a few pounds; as I know I will be eating too much and too well for a week!

  • Ruthbru, enjoy the cruise.

I weighed on Friday at the gym and am holding at "high maintenance" category. I'm hoping to go back to more disciplined eating when we get home. And more exercising.

Same as last week, which is good since my Book Club met the night before; which means lots of appetizers, a delicious dessert, and wine.

  • Same has been my friend until yesterday. I was up a lb.
