I see I posted a few years ago. Now, I'm at 19 years since I heard those horrid words. Thankfully still living life with NED. I do have other health issues including a second cancer that is not in remission but stable so treatment was stopped. Will resume treatment if and when needed. There is life after BC. I know many gals, most who I've met here on BCO who are 19 and 20 years post diagnosis. We can plan for the future.

  • I was diagnosed in 2010 with a large hormone positive tumor and 4/5 sentinel notes positive. I had a lumpectomy with iffy margins and there was still cancer after a post-chemo reexcision, so I had to have a mastectomy before my radiation. I was pretty sure I wasn't going to make it but I'm 15 years out this month.

  • Im almost 21 years out with Stage IIIc 22/22+ nodes. ER/PR+ HER2 -

    NED

Living my best life ! You can too !

Last weekend marked 20 years since diagnosis. There are more and more long term survivors.
