    Petite1 - I was in Savannah, Charleston and Tybee at the end of March. Loved it!

    Where is Amelia Island?

    Amelia Island is a coastal island outside of Jacksonville.

    Petite! - Thanks! I will have to add that to my bucket list of places to visit. Did you enjoy your trip?

    So, I had my yard sale on Saturday and it didn't go well. I live on a busy road and I had less than 10 cars stop. I had advertised in multiple places. There were 2 neighborhood yard sales the same day so my husband thought people would come in the afternoon. Nope! A gentleman who had stoppped in said that he was at the neighborhood yard sales in the morning and people were out trying to sell stuff and nobody was driving around trying to buy. I went 3 1/2 hours without anyone stopping and then it got very windy. It was literally blowing boxes of stuff off my tables (I had 7 tables of stuff) and stuff went blowing down our yard. I would chase after it only to come back and something else was blowing away. So frustrating. I took my lower-priced ebay items and some of my own stuff and donated them. The other stuff went back into my ebay pile to sell again. I brought back inside around 80% of the stuff I was trying to sell. {Sigh}

    petite1: I've not been to Tybee. My brother camps there a lot.

    mocame: Sorry about the yard sale. There is so much effort that goes into setting up one and it's disappointing to not sell. I, too, donated so much stuff to charity after my estate sale. I'm at my mom's and she is a 'clean' horder. I've talked her into having a yard sale in early June. Today, she has agreed to let me post some furniture on FB to see if we can get a better price. Fingers crossed. I think she wanted to have some extra money for when we go to Hot Springs in a few weeks. There is a casino there and she likes to play the slots.

    Kamboka - I hope the furniture sells on FB. I haven't had any luck selling on there, but my dad has. I hope you have a great time at your moms.

    mocame, Sorry to hear about your yard sale.

    I am still tired from my trip. I think it was a little too much for me.

    It's been a long time. I hope you both are doing well.

    I started my road trip at the end of July and have gone from FL to Canada and back down to NV. I'll be doing some volunteer work for a few months before heading back to TN to spend Christmas with my mom.

    In the meantime, I started a YouTube channel. If you are interested, you can watch my videos as I travel around the country. Here is the info: https://www.youtube.com/@Jeaniesgapyear

    I'm still learning how to do the videos so hopefully, they will improve over time. 😄

    Hi Kamboka! It has been a long time. It sounds like you had a wonderful summer traveling the country and Canada. That's awesome! I will definitely check out your YouTube channel.

    Not a lot going on with me except that my daughter is getting married next June and she moved home to save money until the wedding. We will need to have patience with each other until the wedding. LOL>

    mocame: Congratulations on the wedding. Something fun to look forward to, except for all the money. :)

    I'm doing well except for the foot neuropathy that is so bad. I can hardly get any sleep. I'm up all night rubbing lotions, hot patches, whatever.. If I could sleep in a recliner it would be better but no room in my small trailer for a recliner. :)
