Zoladex/Goserelin + Letrozole + Kisqali

hello! I was diagnosed with Stage 2 ER/PR+ HER2- lobular breast cancer late last year and have completed surgery and preventative chemo as there was no sign of spread post-surgery. I started hormone therapy consisting of monthly injections (Zoladex) and daily Letrozole in July and will add Kisqali this month. My hair is starting to grow back well and so far I’ve tolerated Letrozole/Zoladex fairly well. I’m nervous about adding Kisqali and was wondering if anyone out there has been on the same combo of meds as me and what their experience has been? Hair loss/thinning? I’m anxious about losing hair just as it is starting to come back (among other things of course).

@twelvefour24 I'm on Kisqali and Letrozole and have thinning hair and brittle nails. I take a couple of grams of MSM every day and that seems to really help. As a formerly chemo-bald person myself, I am sure you are very happy to see your hair growing in again.

  • thanks for sharing your experience. I will look into MSM.

@twelvefour24 We're just checking in on you. How've you been feeling since adding Kisqali?

  • Thank you for checking in. I’m finishing my first cycle tomorrow and so far, so good 🤞🏼 Definitely noticed some fatigue and some increased joint stiffness but I think the latter is due to Letrozole + Zoladex.
