So I love hearing all the Positive news about stable scans, REMISSION,‼️How cool is that @irishlove. Keep doing what you’re doing my girl.
And the fact that our @mara51506 is home and recovering even with a little normal expected depression from her brain surgery. Wow how blessed we all are living in these times when Women & Men are befitting from the many treatments available for Stage IV Breast Cancer…I noticed during the month of October a lot of emphasis is beng talked about metstatic Breast cancer so there’s more of awareness of Stage IV.
And so glad to see @runor pop in.🥰 Glad you drank 2 cups of coffee and read through the threads🌷. this group has such a fast paced thread, ther’s a lot of us. and posting is daily, and always something new as we keep encouraging each others daily struggles 😢and triumphs.💪🏼

@runor Yogurt may be worth looking up how to make it on youtube. I just love the stuff if I do say so. I can hide stuff I do not like that is good for me like bananas, applesuce in the yogurt, use mio powder to flavour it all. Am also thinking of smoothies with different veggies in there. Done lentils and they were really good. I also like to crisp up beans, lentils and other stuff in my air fryer.
Slept fine last night, this morning adjusted the mattress topper as it was rolling over to the other side, felt like I could roll out even though sleep on back only. Also found a bed barrier so will try putting it together, no luck than will save money.
I made one of the Walmart frozen beef and tomato macaroni variety. Added canned chicken as well, seasoned with dry sour cream and onion, white cheddar, taco seasoning and salt, put everything in microwave, did up for 6 mins since my microwave is only 700 W, need to add 2 mins to every dish. Once stuff came out of oven, spooned mix into a large bowl and added queso as a binder. It was delicious with the meat in the macoroni and the addition of the chicken was good. Chicken was more like beef since I rinsed the chicken in the strainer first. It took on the taste of the rest of the stuff.
I hope everyone is having a good day and I am in pockets for everyone.

Well, slept decently, in bed too late, need to start scaling back as there are a couple of cancer appointments coming up. I imagine Herceptin will be a longer appointment so may give 4 hours initially between Paratransit. I will need to get a loading dose and wait for an hour or so, I will see what I think. May buy some snacks to have and definitely ask for cheese.
Got laundry started, regular dish cloths first, get those spun out and in dryer then floors, quick sweep mop etc. Put together garbage and take out to my bin just outside til it can go over to the garbage next garbage day. Cat litter garbage also needs to be changed and disposed of as well as kitchen garbage to go out. Recycle is collected in house so that is easy to manage
Not sure about food, ate up all Mcdonalds, not buying anymore skip the dishes food delivery because one meal like a burger meal, breakfast meal or anything else costs about 1/2 of what I spend on groceries which gives me many more meals. I also have the lifeline alert service that I pay for now which is a big chunk out of my bills. Meal may be good but not worth the price.
I am probably going to do something with my frozen beef burger done up yesterday, I used some of it yesterday in a beef and macaroni meal then decided to have a burrito meal with the burger meat. Could also do some air fryer hashbrown and eggs. Realized that I have little egg shapers so that if I preheated the air fryer, can put a cracked egg inside the holder and do a fancy egg mcmuffin type dish or toast the muffins and eggs together in the air fryer, so much in my head. Will post later if something good happens mealwise. If no post, likely will create my own queso type meal out of white rice, chicken or beef and bean, lots of options to consider.
Hope everyone has a good day and in pockets for everyone. In my own pocket to finish everything I start.

Mara yes, watch some Youtube vids. You need to start with some store yogurt that has live culture. I use Oikos brand. They will tell you you can't make yogurt with flavoured yogurt. Pffft. That's nonsense. I wouldn't use stuff that has hunks of blueberry floating in it or fruit on the bottom. But I use a single serving cup of vanilla Oikos to start 4 cups of whole milk = tall container of yogurt. If you strain it to make it thick you will lose some of the volume to whey. You can keep the whey to bake with, add to smoothies, feed it to your chickens or pigs or dump it. But straining makes the yogurt thicker. Sometimes the yogurt turns out nicely thick. Other times more runny and gloopy. I think this is related to how old the starter yogurt is. If all the little yogurt cooties are still alive or starting to keel over from old age. Also has to do with temperature. It's all about the science! And one last tidbit before I sign off on my yogurt lecture, my secret weapon is …. a tea light candle! Unscented, obviously. I heat the milk, cool the milk to correct temp, stir in my gently warmed store yogurt then set the whole pot in the oven and also set in, beside (not under!) a lit tea light candle. This provides about 4 hours of gentle, warming heat. I make the yogurt at 7 or 8 at night and when I check the oven 7 or 8 next morning - it's good to go! Unless it's not. Cause sometimes it just doesn't work. But the little tea light set on a small plate so it doesn't fall through the oven rack, was the game changer for me.
Hi to all!5 -
@runor I will keep it all in mind. When I am running low on yogurt but have lots of sour cream, I add the yogurt and sour cream together, bit of water and mio, blend up in magic bullet. Making yogurt sounds lioke fun.
My schedule is later, yesterday fell asleep til 4 am from about 9pm on couch, videos played in the back ground, got up and took myself to bed, slept another almost 7 hours in between using the washroom twice. I add all the sleep together so it really is quite a bit. Will get stuff done. Part of the problem was streaming the 1984 Firestarter and that pushed stuff later as well. It is a bit cheesy but sticks close to the book overall and George C Scott. Drew Barrymore did a good job as well.
As far as meals, debating what kind of beans to make up. Those can be done later, need a quick one plate breakfast since sink stuff is still stacked up, want some energy. I think I will have a quick burrito, bean and beef variety from Walmart, put a bit of sour cream and queso. Once eaten can clear the sink, clean it out and prepare for other meals, need to brown up a tube of ground beef. Later need to heat up some ground beef.
EDIT cleared out the sink from the soak last night but decided to use fewer dishes, grabbed a beef and tomato macaroni pack, put a ton of cheese, will add queso and sour cream and some taco and sour cream and onion seasoning. Will eat up last two slices of garlic bread. Might be a higher fat than protein content so this time will take two immodium to avoid problems. May do a yogurt smoothie later today that includes some yogurt, find a veggie without much taste like some peas or green beans. Put some sour cream and water and mio fruit punch flavour. Yummy. Could even put some chopped beans, chick peas or whatever and use that mix. I will post if it is good and if creative.
Hope everyone has good day, in pockets for all as well.

I know it is superbowl for fans or just a get together with really good foods and a choice of halftime shows as there are a couple to choose from.
I just woke up, nothing on the agenda for me as usual. We are going to be warmer into next week, all this cold was a bit much. Nice and sunny here though today which is nice to see.
I plan to cook up some ground beef to go along with some crispy lentils and rice. I am also trying to pick up a 3 pack of lean ground beef, expecting they will not have any but will find out. I do think it is worth getting lean ground beef since the regular stuff is just too greasy and bad for the digestive system. Later can add an egg into rice, cheese, seasonings and crispy lentils.EDIT They apparently had some of the lean ground beef stuff, 3 chubs for 10 bucks, now am paying tip but also should have ordered other stuff, next time keep minimum order to 35. I only placed order 15 mins ago and it is on its way already.
I hope everyone have a good day, in pockets for all and may the food be good.

@mara51506 Isn't it amazing how you can click a button to order and it's already on the way! You wonder how we survived before these amenities. I like the convenience and also use it but still enjoy some in person shopping when the weather is nicer. Looking forward to breaking through freezing here also before we know it will all be behind us we'll be complaining of the heat. lol
@runor Hey there it's nice to see ya,glad you popped in! Sorry to hear about your family's struggles with CMT . I hope there is progress in this space to help families affected by this.Oh and geez your eye issues, well that was scary I'm sure. I hope it stabilizes and you never have to deal with a detachment.
Well the Superbowl was a bit boring but I did watch. I was rooting for Seattle being I felt like Darnold has done his time and has been a fighter his whole career. Cheers to all the Seahawk fans! Hope the Eagles rebuild their offense and gel better next year. Quiet week here just monthly MO appt on Thursday.
Thinking and praying for all here hope it's a good week for all! 🌞

@cookie54 Yes I do appreciate the ability to go out, in my case by bus or paratransit but will wait til snow is actually gone, it will start to have some melting soon as we will be above freezing. I will need to go out next week a couple of times, one day is Herceptin other day is an echo.
I did make a lunch that was not a great combo, it had a knorr fettucine alfredo to which I added crisped lentils, was not the best if I am honest. Not because anything burned or that, both individual flavours were not good, just not good together. I have some leftover, will find a way to disguise the taste. Might chop them up with some good chips and cheese and add queso to the mix. Smothers the taste in cheese. I am debating all that.
I do hope all are having a good day and am in everyone's pocket.

Hi everyone. Hope you are warm and cozy and no icy, wintery conditions to interfere with life. All our efforts to cover plants, bring in plants and watch nightly lows, failed due to one night we didn't know was coming. Lost alot of ground plants, some potted, hibiscus looks awful as does the bottlebrush tree. We'll see in a week or so when we need to cut back the plants, hoping to find life. The four community cat beds I made, well two are being used. Hurray for that as I have straw everywhere. The birds love the straw for nests, so I guess the mess is worth it.
Caught up on reading and hope each and everyone is doing good in 2026. I have a pet scan this month, if all is still NED, then I can go to yearly screening. In all honesty, I hurt so badly in back and chest and thighs. Can't tell if it's arthritis or MS. Thursday I started the day with terrible chest pain, right sided. It hurt horribly to breathe in. The pain was right along a mastectomy line between two ribs. I gave it another day and then saw the doctor. She sent me over to the ER, concerns with blood clots, pneumonia, etc. Well, after all that testing, NADA. No diagnosis. Bye the way, I hate, hate morphine. Makes me feel like I'm dying. Anyway no relief to this day, so I don't breathe deeply. Going out on a limb and thinking it's either a pulled muscle or MS related.
My Feb. is full of appts. I much rather stay home and be left alone. LOL. Anyone else watching the Olympics? I loved the figure skating, so beautiful and brilliant. Now the curling event, not my cup of tea.
In pockets for every scan and life's trials in general.

@mara51506 Well I hope you're getting a little warm-up here as we are here so next week is an easier outing for you. I do like the Knorr's Alfredo by itself it's such a quick easy side or throw chicken in for a meal. Yea maybe adding additional seasoning my help change the flavor to make it more enjoyable. Can't hurt to try then dump it if not to your liking.
@irishlove Oh darn, well that stinks to miss a night and lose some ground plants! I hope you get a nice surprise and after they're cut back they rebound. Geez, sorry about the ER trip ! Of course I'm glad they didn't find anything of concern but it does make you wonder what it could be that's so intense. Well hopefully it's a muscle ache/pull and it heals quickly. So are you just taking OTC pain relievers now? Yes I am watching some Olympics ,I do enjoy watching all the various sports but agree I'm not a fan of curling lol. I think it would be fun to play like shuffleboard etc but definitely a bit boring to watch lol . Hope feel better today!
May all here have a peaceful day today💕🌷

@irishlove - I'm with @cookie54 re your plants. Hoping all turns out well a little down the road. I could never manage and keep track of all those "plant things" and I sure admire those who do! I'm also really pulling for your rib pain to be "just" a strained muscle. I would think that after all you've been doing for the plants and animals, a pulled muscle could be highly likely.
I continue to try and get used to this new line of treatment with the Xeloda. Real mixed feelings about it, and not sure if it is working/will work, but have to give it some time. It causes terrible fatigue and feelings of weakness. I see the oncologist tomorrow for the first follow-up re this drug so I'll just have to see what he has to say. It's been about 3.5 weeks so far.
5 -
@threetree I am sorry the Xeloda causing such fatigue and weakness. Hopefully you adjust over more time but is a lot to deal with.
@cookie54 Yes we are warming up starting mid week, we will be just above freezing so could get some melting snow here too. I got a phone call this morning for another CT scan that I have had multiple times, not interested in taking a cab over and do not want to go to the other hospital. Cannot do Paratransit as not enough time ahead to book it. Will do appointments scheduled next week for Herceptin and the heart echo and get them to print up a new schedule, everything has been messed up sonce about November with CT scans, MRIs, surgery and such, I basically took a month off to recuperate with the necrosis news. No side effects at this point. I will let my MO and RO make the CT and MRI appointments but want them at my hospital. If something comes up with the brain again then obviously would go there and decide on having surgery again.
Having pasta and cheese with some seasoning from one of my hamburger helper meals, added some garlic, used up my mayochup, had to add bit of water to pour it out since was almost empty. Will wait a bit with heat off of the burner, go back and take lid off to check, may have to add something else like a mini pot pie to make it more substantial, I will see. The pie would only add to the taste vs make it taste bad.
EDIT did not measure the pasta and the water it was put in to cook so it turned out very liquid even after noodles done up. I did put lentils and cheese in to melt with sour cream to fill in for milk. I did do the mayochup and seasonings above. Extra hard tacos broken up in and a squirt of queso crema and sour cream and lime crema. It was good but realize that I could have just put aside the extra sauce from the dish instead of putting down the drain, it would have made a good dip for something else. I also want to have some sort of potato from one of the cans I have, can drain
Other than that regular chores, bed made, cats will be sad they will lose their place to be, laundry as usual. Three cycles today, regular wash with oxi clean, lysol wash next to remove any germs since was a messy wash and the final vinegar and water with a bit of softener for the scent and then put them in the dryer. Dishes floor and that is about it.
I hope all have a good day, in pockets for all.

Hello ladies
@irishlove sorry you lost some plants. I did too due to my neglect of them. I didn't feel up to going out and covering them for a few days. My GS had the flu and I was literally hunkering down in my room. My GD got it a week after he did and that was a week ago. Could it be that the flu shot worked. Thank God. Wonderful news about the remission!!!!
@mara51506 I hope your herceptin appt goes well. My next appt is a PET scan next Tuesday. Your regular chores are a reminder to what I need to be doing … soon. lol
@cookie54 I have only watched a little of the olympics. I watched the opening ceremony which was really nice to see all the countries come together to compete and show off their beautiful flags and outfits.
@threetree I hope your appt with your onc about Xeloda is productive. sometimes a dose reduction or another prescription helps make it bearable. Sending long hugs sometimes they help too.
@shanagirl hope you're having a peaceful day replete with your pets.
@runor It was a pleasant surprise to read your post it's been awhile. You are such a natural humorist writer. I do miss all of your encouragement. It was nice to get that surprise pop in!!!!
Waving hello to everyone and sending hugs.

@tanya_djamila Most days they are done 100 per cent, if not I am not worried about it. You will get to yours.
I just filled out a survey about my hospital stay and staff. Staff, nurses and surgeons all scored well, stay was 75 percent. I cited being ordered to take a laxative and dealing with loose stool afterward and then the loose stuff not being treated correctly until I got home since instructions on my own 2mg loperimide state 2 with first washroom visit one each washroom visit up to a max of 8 in 24 hours and I got one 2mg tab which did nothing. I followed the loperimide instructions at home and stopped it all which was a big relief. Other complaint was being labeled a fall risk and never being able to get up and move around, after 4 days there was permission given to walk around and got to walk around when assessed for coming home. I felt like permission should have been given to move around as I did have a cane with me and shoes on. Oh well, just answering for the survey. Having said all that, staff was very patient with a very weepy patient, think part of that was the D and brain recovery along with steroids. I did nothing but cry with the D. I did have a portable charger on my bed so tablet and earbuds were able to stay charged and could watch movies since the wifi at hospital was really good. Glad DB is resting up as is SIL who has stuff for herself and other people to deal with, some of which has been relieved. If I was allowed to would explain but I do not have permission. Lets just say DB and SIL are having a rest from me and my issues and I just call each of them perhaps once a week or so.
6 -
@mara51506 I think it is good that you gave that feedback to the hospital. Being ordered to take a laxative even though you were not constipated made your stay miserable and I hope your feedback will make a difference for other patients. It seems like hospitals err on the side of caution in labeling a person a fall risk. It's quite frustrating but I understand their reasoning. We don't need or want a break from you😉so I am glad that you come here to offer and receive support and encouragement. You have many online friends.
For myself, I have been building up my strength and stamina post hip-replacement. I'm back to pickleball which I love but we are on break this week. I've walked over 10,000 steps that past few days which feels good. It was sunny today-I just wore a light jacket and even took that off for a while. I will have a PET scan later this month. I switched from letrozole to Orserdu-so far no major side effects. My current progression does not get picked up on CT or Bone scans, just the MRI but now I have so much metal in my legs, the MRI is not a great source either. It will be interesting to have a PET scan to see what it shows. Looking forward to going to the opera tomorrow for "Salome." After a cold January, it feels like winter is moving along.

Hy Girly Girls. I totally 💯% agree with @mara51506 not wanting to go out in the cold. We had some some heavy windy days in the teens but the wind chill factor hit -7 degrees a few days. I’ve been really feeling sorry for the birds and other critters in this cold weather. The snow has not yet melted and is just a hard sheet of ice now after the rain, 🌧️ the dogs hate going out and can only walk on top of the iced over snow in the back yard, I’ve been earnestly makining food for the birds mixing seed with peanut butter and coconut oil and grated corn muffin mixed in and putting it out in the yard just to give them energy & warmth. I’ve been reading that they all usually huddle together next to each other to keep each other warm in cover of dense bushes and trees. and here they all seem to do it in the giant Holly tree at the edge of our neighbor’s property and out in our front yard. So I hung a bird feeder there with my seed mixture and then spread the rest of the mixture over the ground,. DH threw some rye bread and all the seagulls saw him and ate it all. 🤪
I missed 2 PT days last week and today. I’ve still had that cough that won’t go away and some kind of belly bug causing nausea and the big D and with this nausea I’ve also had esophogitis or inflamed esophogus with the nausea and acid stomach. So that’s been my week. So far. Dear @threetree I hope your new treatment on Xeloda starts to lessen the fatigue and weakness. The Verzenio has always caused me to feel the same way, especially this time of year. @irishlove sorry the cold snap caused the losses of your plants.. I alwys loved my garden too. And hey there @runor.😊Love to see you poping in all the time. @tanya_djamila Hello there girl. good to see you also.
Hey @cookie54 jersey girl How have you been doing in this icey cold these days? I think of you often. So I haven’ t tuned into the Olympics, Just been watching movies, and have been following the Annie Guthrie disappearance closely, My heart goes out to Savannah Guthrie, especially now with the big break in this case.
So all my Ladies I’m wishing you all a restful peaceful evening.🥰
7 -
@chicagoan Great job on the steps.
@shanagirl I am really sorry about the stomach issues among others that you are suffering through. In pockets for a recovery as I do know how miserable they can be.
I've mostly been following the Anne Guthrie likely kidnapping and some politics, mostly related to both the Gordie Howe Bridge between Canada and Michigan that we paid for to provide extra lanes of traffic for businesses. Hopefully it opens without any issue. Canada collecting tolls to pay it off first then plans to split the tolls 50/50. We will see what happens with that.
6 -
It was good to catch up on everyone's goings-on. Wishing warm days ahead for all. I know I get a bit of guff about living in Fl. and fussing about cold weather. I think it's because my body is just not acclimated to it. Plus I have major arthritis and that disease sure doesn't like cold weather.
All is quiet here. Had to go to MO's office to pick up Ibrance. The RX to go pharmacy will not ship to the house. Pfizer did. I'm guessing it's due to all the porch pirates stealing, that has increased greatly in some areas.
In pockets for all your scans and praying for stability remission and a lovely evening for all.

@threetree Sorry to hear you're dealing with some SE with Xeloda. In my experience they started me at a high dose then decreased along the way . As I decreased my SE's became more tolerable for sure! I am currently on 1,000 mg per dose and at my highest dose was 3,000. Hoping that you and your MO can come to a mutual agreement on your dose and your body will adjust. Hugs.
@mara51506 Hopefully you will get back on track with your appointments soon.Seems like they are definitely getting closer to solving this kidnapping I hope she is alive and doing ok. Just awful to put her through all this, fingers crossed she's found safe,
@tanya_djamila It's nice to see you and I hope you're doing well.
@shanagirl You're so sweet caring for all the animals, you have a big heart. Ugh well that stinks dealing with the nagging cough and belly issues again! Waving my magic wand over you that you catch a break soon! Oh I hear ya with the dogs it's been so difficult for them with the ice. Thankfully we are warmer this week and I do see some melting going on. Hope you start to feel better today.
@irishlove How are your ribs feeling? Does t seem like a muscle pull now?
@chicagoan Go chicagoan ! Glad to hear you are getting back to pickleball and lots of walking. Enjoy your night out at the opera.
Quiet morning here, hope to get out for a walk today dodging the snow piles. In everyone's pockets for a good day💐
5 -
@cookie54 Honestly I really think the belly issues have been the Verzenio and cough that doesn’t go away. And on the side effects list. It seems a like all the cancer treatments seem to happen pretty often in between good days and good weeks. Then hearing on the Patch that Neurovirus is goin g around NJ makes me wonder if that’s the belly issues and not wanting to eat and nausea. Geesh! you just never know if its the treatment or something else. Also thiss time of year my body wants to go into hibernation mode, and sooo tired I could lay down & sleep all day.. I’m in my room on my bed glued to the Nancy Guthrie updates.. then a 3rd letter from someone who knows who it is.. i worry so much about her current condition.

Good morning to all. It's nice and sunny here, thank goodness. Maybe a good omen for my drs appt coming up in a couple of hours? I want to say hi and thanks to so many for your support and comments re my issues/side effects with this new switch to Xeloda, but because of all the fatigue, I can't post to everyone individually as I would like to. Please know that I read along and am very grateful and appreciative for all the thoughts and good wishes. I'm also in everyone else's pocket(s) for the things you are dealing with too.
I did want to tag @cookie54 individually before I go to my appointment to say thanks especially for the information about your dose. Are you taking 2000 a day, i.e. 1000 mgs twice a day? I'm doing 3000 split out twice a day and am on the week on, week off schedule. The oncologist told me that is a low dose. I don't know just how low they can go. I'm afraid to ask for a lower dose for fear he might stop it altogether, and from what I understand, there isn't much more out there for me, if this doesn't work. I want to give this a real good shot, so am hoping I can adjust in due time. I read back on the Xeloda thread where someone said they went to 2000 a day, but then progressed. They stabilized then when they went back to 3000 a day. I know you've done really well, Cookie, so I am definitely interested in the details of your course on this drug.
Also, and if I read the report correctly, I have developed the ESR1 mutation, and that that explains why I started progressing last fall, and had to switch drugs. I will have to ask the onc about all of that too. Geez, I haven't seen him since before Christmas!
Well, I hope everyone has a good day and is starting to see those little hints of spring being just around the corner. I'm seeing things starting to bloom (Camellias, especially), and birds cuddling up and pairing off. It is uplifting for sure. Hugs to all!
2 -
@threetree I was on 3000 split between 1000 mornings and 2000 evenings a day, but I did not take a week off. I was eventually reduced to 1000mg twice a day. It worked for me for one year. I developed the ESR1 mutation also but four years later. Oral SERDS don't work for me anymore so I am on Taxol. So far I am tolerating it okay. I am not sure I want to go in for clinical trials at this point. If I were younger, yes.
4 -
@cookie54 I am supposed to get a sheet of appointments printed out which is good. I am planning to be stubborn on times they are scheduled, had one scheduled at 10 pm for which I rescheduled as I do not have a vehicle and unsure about how late the Paratransit goes until so I changed it. Also don't see the need to travel farther to another hospital now that all the surgery nonsense is done. CT scans and MRI can be done at my local hospital.
Nothing on the agenda, wound up sleeping early in evening, woke up hungry at 10 pm so had a burrito. Bad move, wound up awake til 4 am, went to bed and woke up 11 am. Nothing on the docket so I am not concerned but do need to start eating earlier, fininishing up earlier would be good.
Having a burrito this morning to start with since I do need to clear up my kitchen, been unhappy with the cord arrangement. My apt does not have many outlets to use and I have many appliances I keep plugged in BUT decided to slim down the stuff kept on counter as kitchen gadgets. Just keeping my magic bullet and bigger chopper. My mom's chopper that is smaller is kept for nostalgia, works quite well itself so will get put out in an underneath cupboard, emptied out and moved some of the stuff in there, it is right below so makes it.
EDIT was able to organize a power hub that is not hard to handle, did unplug all of the stuff and got a couple of extenders with surge protectors and it looks easier to plug and unplug stuff in. Still using one thing at a time.
Having some mcdonalds, mcdouble meal, tiny fries and fruitopia with a junior chicken, both with extra mayo and mcdouble with extra onions.

@threetree Sent you a message explaining how I got to my current dose.

Hi everyone. Pretty day here today. Lots of squirrels and birds at the feeders. 2 raccoons coming at night along with community cats. However, we are in a very bad drought. Daytona 500 is this Sunday and of course they are calling for rain than. Can't win for losing. lol
Ah thanks for asking about my ribs. A lovely nurse called from the GP's office and we talked about MS and steroid usage. So tomorrow I'll start the prednisone pack and hope for relief. It's so difficult for folks to determine what's what with symptoms when you have more than one disease you are fighting. For me the worst is the severe backache. It feels like I've been riding a bull. I was hoping for all good news for each and every one of you for a sweet valentine's weekend. Trips, dining out and visiting family would be lovely. Gotta get to feeling better and working out the dosage that's best for you. I recall dropping from 125 mg Ibrance to 75 mg. I almost quit completely as it plus the SERD shot created major physcological problems.
Watching olympics and the Ruth Guthrie story. My heart aches and I cry with them. How cruel can someone be? One reporter believes this was a planned kidnapping as the suspect seemed to know his way around the surveillence cameras. No car was seen out from, so that gives me pause to worry even more. Prayers being sent for her safe return.
In pockets for all you sweet ladies and may a sweet hyacinth grow in your yard and soothe your soul.

Good morning all, had a good night sleep for a change. Was closer to 2am but not broken up sleep, almost 8 hours. Tonight should be closer to 1 am and subtracting an hour from each night. Also getting warmer out so will keep an eye on salt and if needed as we will get into the freeze thaw thing.
No chores on tap today but the usual wash, meal prep etc. The cord situation has been massively improved from the kitchen outlet. I did buy an outlet that rotates but it is not practical in kitchen, brought out to living room where I use it as an extra power station for charging stuff. Put extra unused appliances into an unused cabinet just below. I hang onto a chopper my mom used to use due to nostalgia, works well but just a little small. I have another chopper which is bigger.
I am unsure on meals as usual. I need to eat through the freezer so that when I am done, can keep stuff in the freezer instead of coldest area of fridge. I had a burrito last night, they are inexpensive and quite delicious. I also need to heat up some of the lean ground beef I got as a surprise, it was the three pack for 10 bucks, I ordered in the morning. I think I will simply microwave an egg and a mini pot pie together, add garlic and seasoning. Easiest dish to have and help empty the freezer, can add a few either riced veggies or sliced frozen peppers. That could be good, got to see veggies in fridge first and put it all together I think. Later on, I will figure it out. Post if really good.
I hope everyone has a good day and in pockets for everyone.

@threetree Just checking in today to say hi and let you know you’ve been so much on my mind the last few days thinking about your struggles with all the new changes you’ve gone thru recently. I light a candle every night before bed for those who come to my mind that I worry about what they are dealing with each day. I just wanted you to know that dear sister.🌷🩵
@mara51506 it’s good to hear you’ve had some restful sleep and are all chipper enough to plan your day. and thee burrito and meal planning. I love it 🥰 Enjoy your day today!
Hi @irishlove dear girl. thinking of Florida lately. my yougest daughter is down there now in Stuart visiting her DH’s parent, his Dad is recovering from Colon Cancer surgery and doing well. Out playing gulf today so he must be doing well😊DD and DH ar now heading to Disney to spend 2 days in the Dolphin. they both work so hard and I’m glad they are getting away for time to themselves. She is a Vet Tech and her DH owns and runs his Nice Italian Restaurant. they’vee been trying to have a baby the last few years but no success. I fell ad for them because I know she wants it so much. But I think they waited too long. they’ve been together since she was 19 him 21. they lived together for 10 years then got engaged and married a year later. they’ve been married 7 years. I believe young people should try to have their babies in their 20s when they are highly fertile. She just turned 38 in December. It would be such a nice suprise if she came back with a baby in her belly. Oh well what will be will be I guess. So, My DH booked a flight and reservations in FT Myers in the Pink Shell Resort. We’ll stay there and visit with Our GD, her DH, and their 2 baby boys 1 and 2 1/2. Our Great Grand Babies. Can’t wait to see them again. My youngest DS is down in Sarasota also , so we’ll take a ride up to see her with her dd and DH for the day.so lots to look forward to. We’ll fly out May 4th till May 11th. Be down there for 7 nights. The last time we were down I had just started Verzenio and was on it a few months and my Onc let me go off it for the week so I wouldn’t have to deal with the side effects of the big D. But now I have not had much of that SE. just the fatigue and weakness. I’m hoping PT will help with that.
@cookie54 hey Jersey yes I’m really glad it’s getting warmer so the ice melts a little bit more. The dogs can walk more in the yard now.

@shanagirl Yes, I am feeling more chipper, necrosis at back of mind literally and figuratively. Still a little wobbly but no falls yet. Like the way kitchen electric cords are arranged too. Makes me happy
Here in London Ontario, in the next week, our temps will be above 0, nothing too crazy but nice to hear that. I did not attend the CT scan today, figured I had several just about a month ago, can wait til own hospital books them. Unless there were appt re my necrosis, I will stay at my own hospital.
Got wash and the dryer going right now. If I decide to do more wash may bust out my bigger heated rack in living that can connect to the kitchen electric connector. I also have discovered my hip fans I bought which never worked for me make good chargers for things like my phone and charger used at night for the phone when listening to a pain hypnosis that runs subliminally with rain.
As usual, unsure about food. Made lentils and noodles. It was good but added too much dry seasoning and was overwhelmingly salty. Have decided that if I need different flavours, need to measure in with measuring spoons if dry so not so salt. Having some diced frozen potatoes, doing up in the air fryer then doing up a frozen bean and beef burrito in the microwave, eat the two together. No dry seasoning except for a dash of salt. I also found all parts of the egg cooker including the measuring stuff for hard or softyolks. Need to look up instructions.
Hope everyone has a good day and as always in everyone's pockets.
