Losing weight
Hello
Came here for some tips on losing weight. I started a diet almost a month ago and I'm struggling because I see almost nothing. It's my first attempt to diet since the diagnosis and I'm sad to see and feel how different my body is now. I don't recognise myself. I don't want to quit but i really need to see something to help me keep in going.

Hi @aandreea .i! Welcome to Breastcancer.org. Weight loss after breast cancer can be slower because of hormones, meds, menopause, and stress. It’s not a failure on your part. Your body has been through a lot.
We hope others will jump in to share what’s helped them. In the meantime, we hope these resources are helpful to you:
You’re not alone in this, and it’s okay to feel the way you do. Be gentle with yourself.

Hi! I was diagnosed in 2020 with early stage TNBC and had lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. Because they also saw LCIS and ALH I went on raloxifene. I have gained 30 lbs over the past 5 years. I used to exercise a lot more but I've slowed down somewhat and the weight gain definitely has me down. I had some success with the mayo clinic diet - it costs money but they give a good introductory deal. And there are probably many other diets or even a book with recipes out there. I like it because the recipes are easy and the food is tasty. I'm still challenged with weight loss because I am an emotional eater and I also could get more exercise during the day. But for me, that diet was a good place to start. Hopefully more people will chime in with some ideas!
