Hi Cheryl, I saw your post come in quickly in the bottom of my screen. This may be a new feature. Then when I tried to find your post there was nothing there. When I signed out and got back to my email a notification of your post came through. So I signed on again.

You every right to feel your emotions whatever they are. Belief me, during everyones cancer journey they have a myriad of emotions through out their time on this unwanted path. Being honest with your emotions and sharing them is competely the right thing to do in my opinion. I think most ladies want to start the treatments so they can be done with them. I have had trigger point therapy with this same therapist for many years when I was teaching so I am pretty familar with the whole thing. I am quite sore tonight as I have not had these treatments for over 14 yrs. I don't recall being this sore but I was in quite a bit of pain already. So time will tell. I will see her on Thursday and then have a whole week off which might be a good thing as she is on vacation then.

Was that just yesterday you mowed your yard with your husband or maybe Saturday. That would certainly make most ladies fatigued the next day. Plus you just had surgery too so there is that element as well. Be kind to yourself.

We all will be praying that this radiation leg of your treatment will go as smoothly as possible. After your treatment tomorrow I predict that you will say to yourself I worried all this much for this! You can do this!!!! I'm glad your DIL and your 20 mo old granddaughter wished you luck for tomorrow. It is always nice to have family cheering you on.

    Rest well tonight,

    Love,

    Nancy

Chris such horrible news. I’m so sorry for everything you’re going through along with your family. It does seem like so many younger people are being diagnosed. I see the commercials for St. Jude’s Hospital and seeing those babies and young kids going through cancer just breaks my heart. It certainly puts my minor problems in perspective. I will be praying for all.

Thanks Nancy. Really praying the treatments help relieve the pain.

1 down,19 to go. I know that sounds like nothing compared to some of you. I survived and the worst part was trying to figure out exactly where to go. I’m sure that will get easier. Our daughter drove us down since she knows back ways to go if traffic is an issue and my daughter in law sent me flowers from all of them. I am so blessed to have great kids, great kids in law and great granddaughters plus my wonderful husband.

Sent too soon. I am just blessed all around and especially to have the support and encouragement of all you brave women.

I am tired. Didn’t get much sleep last night. My appointment today was at 1:30 but will be at 8:30 for the next 2 weeks and then it will change to mid morning. I’m hoping to sleep better tonight and am going to bed now (I hate going to bed when it’s still light!) in hopes of being more awake tomorrow.

Thank you again for the prayers and encouragement and I’m praying for each of you! 🙏

Cheryl, take baby steps. One day at a time…all the sayings you can. Fatigue and tiredness is common. It is good you have all your family support and you have ours too.

    Darn UTI.

    Cheryl,

I hope you're able to find a Radiation Thread for more support on BCO. After all…misery enjoys company!

I still lurk on support threads 16 years after last TNBC treatment during March 2011.

PET scan results from today are posted and there is mild decrease in both bone and liver lesions. The brain is clear. So the Taxol continues to work. I'm parising the Lord even while sitting here with a broken leg!

    Love to all.

Teka, how are you doing? Your family? I am making progress with my back and leg but I have a long ways to go to be able to sit on the plane for 3 1/2 hrs plus a 2 1/2 hr drive. Yes, Aug. 8 is coming too fast. This week I am watering flowers and plants for a good friend who has a very large yard so coupled with my Bible Study and HOA meeting it has been a lot with the awful heat wave. Next week will be freed up to actually get some things done in my house and seriously start to figure out how all of the clothes and items I have bought for my trip will actually fit in one checked bag. My carry on consists of my rolling camera bag and a very small backpack so for someone who has a clothes rod almost all the time in my car when I travel downstate with many clothes on hangers this is going to be an adjustment!!!

Cheryl, I hope today was easier as far as finding the radiation facility. So 2 down already. You can do this!!!!!

Chris, I am so happy to hear the results of your PET scan. I hope that brightens up your day in the midst of another UTI and a broken leg. How is your weather this week? My neighbors drove to CO this past weekend and will be hiking in the Rockies with their 17 yr old dog. I am not sure exactly where they are. I am not sure if they are camping but it appears they rented a very large vehicle to get there. The Mom sent me some beautiful pics of the sky and a sunset last night so I was glad to hear that they had apparently made it safely.

Well I need to water my flowers. In this heat I usually wait until almost dark to do that. After watering for my friend mine are a piece of cake esp. this year that I wasn't able to plant any pots. I only have preplanted pots but I have quite a few of those.

    Take care dear sisters.

    Love,

    Nancy

I tried to post twice last night and lost them both times. 🤷‍♀️Since I’m trying to get to bed earlier I just stopped trying.

Chris That’s great news. That’s definitely an answer to prayer.

Nancy, I tried to find a threa on radiation but couldn’t find one. I did look into one on ILC but ended up going down the rabbit hole of medications. I figured I’d stick with this one and deal with the medication when the time comes and I also love the Christian aspect of this one.

I did better at finding my way back to radiation, although I still forgot to pick up a gown before going into the dressing room. I’m determined not to do that today. The tech told me that one woman did that and just came out covering herself with her hands. I at least went back out fully dressed. 😁 There are separate waiting rooms for women and men but the dressing rooms are used by both. I still got turned around going back out. Directionally challenged, I guess.

We’re still in the 90’s here with awful humidity. I decided to take the dogs to daycare every day this week. They get rid of their energy and I’m able to come home and take a nap. Normally I take the pup for a walk around the neighborhood but it’s just too hot and I don’t have the energy. I’ve always been a morning person but this has taken away my motivation to get up and moving. I’m hoping it will eventually come back especially if it ever cools off.

Time to get moving since I need to finish getting ready, get the girls to daycare and back here to pick up my husband and leave on time. Everyone take care. Prayers coming your way 🙏

@l1ttlec Being directionally challenged seems to go with the territory. I get turned around in the hospital all the time. I have learned to just act like an old lady and ask for directions or escort help. It is good that you are taking care of yourself. And your pups will benefit in the long run.

My DD is working in the yard right now and is complaining of the heat and it is 78°. But that is getting hot in CO Springs. We should hit in the low 80s later today.

Nancy, make sure to add a fresh shirt to your carry-on in case you have any luggage issues. Just a thought!

Meanwhile I am trying to heal.

    Prayers and Blessings… Chris

Nancy, forget about what I said about not finding a radiation discussion. I was already in one. I’ve definitely got brain fog today.

    Prayers everyone.
