Stick to the pool, Wonderland!
Went to both Dance2fit & Zumba today, which was very fun because they did old songs. I also did HIT.

We all knew you were a badass Ruth!
Ocean Isle is so nice Wonderland, DH grew up outside Wilmington and a couple of his high school friends have homes there. Enjoy the time with the family!
Our air has cleared. No gym for me today. Out of town family friends (like way out of town from New Hampshire!) are coming through today. Mom hasn't seen them in 10 years, so my gym time is getting her an early lunch so she will be ready for the visit in the early afternoon…time well spent.
Happy mid-week everyone, TT

Was able to open windows on Monday! Felt so nice to get fresh air in while doing housework

Very nice,TT!!
A strength class this morning. I have company coming for dinner so need to get organized for that!

Mat Pilates & I stayed for a Stretch class afterward. It was brutally hot so I ended up doing 30 minutes of dancing with Marshall Fitness on utube instead of trying to do anything outside.

TT: Beautiful picture and all smiles of your family reunion.
Ruth: I saw that you're getting the heat now. Ugh. Stay inside. It's awful.
M0mmy: How nice that you can open windows!
We came back home yesterday from the beach. It was a fabulous week of family, laughs, and fantastic food. We all take a night and cook for everyone. Lots of shrimp and fish. It was so windy that no one swam in the ocean. Except one day my sisters decided it was somewhat calm compared to other days. Well, one of them got knocked down and had a hard time getting back up bc of the waves and undertow. Luckily the house had a pool.
The temperatures this week will only be in the middle to upper 80s so I took advantage of it and went for a short walk after coming home from the grocery store.

My area of NC received more rain for more days than we did at the beach (we had a few sprinkles and then it would clear up. Friday morning was nice and then the rain came and stayed). Bc of all the rain at home I now have 5 more pumpkins growing in the pumpkin patch!

Yes, we are having the dreadful weather here. Yesterday was horrible, the whole next week is supposed to be horrible and it was 102 today with a heat index of 107!! Yesterday I did another dancing to Utube session. Today we walked Bruno really early & I went to Yoga.
Glad you had a fun week, and the weather is a little better for you, Wonderland!

Very impressed with both of you, Ruth and TT!
The weather has cooled (only in the 80s) so I'm able to walk again. Today the dew point was only 65 instead of 75 which is a huge difference. I walked this evening with a light breeze at times.
Little baby will be 8 months old in 2 weeks and he's getting very big. I don't know what he weighs but it's getting harder for me to carry him. My left shoulder and arm are starting to hurt some so I try not to carry him around too much. I think he'll be crawling soon. We sit outside every morning and rock on my new glider. Poor thing has to listen to me sing Old McDonald, Wheels on the Bus, etc lol. He seems to like it, though.
The tomatoes are finally coming in. Tomorrow I'm making fresh tomato soup and I can't wait!

Yum, on the tomato soup, especially if you put some fresh basil in it!!
Lifting this morning, Dance2fit tonight; after which a friend invited some of us to come over for hors d'oeuvres on her deck. I'm not sad to say that we broke it up early because it actually started to rain. Our first rain in a month!!!

Might get some rain off and on during the day or evn tonight. We really need it here in NW WI.

Got to the gym last night, so that makes 5x this week. Today my gym time is replaced by a haircut! There are only so many hours in the day…
Our weather has also been relatively mild Wonderland, recent lows in high 60's and high temps in low to mid 80's…totally doable summer weather vs the 100+. When I was walking into school yesterday at 8am, there was actually a cool breeze…it didn't last into the afternoon, but wow! Happy weekend, TT

Sweated like a demon using my new spot cleaner for the carpet.

Went to mat pilates & then on a trail walk with a friend & her dog. The rain temporarily dropped both the temperature & the humidity, so it was lovely!

Ruth: The tomato soup was delicious (if I do say so myself 😉). Looking forward to making more. I need to get some basil.
TT: I meant to comment on your pretty hair in the family picture you posted. I like the way you brush it back.
M0mmy: Housecleaning is a real workout. I cleaned the bathrooms this week and was ready to sit down afterwards.
Dh watched little baby this afternoon so I could meet with friends to play mah jongg. We talk and laugh too much during the game so it's not competitive at all. Afterwards I was able to go for a fast walk.
Edited: Ruth, we were posting at the same time. Really cute picture of Bruno and his gf!

Tell me about it Wonder! I was sweating like a demon and worn out by the time i finished spot cleaning the carpet

Another walk with Bruno's GF this morning. She & her mistress are only here 3 more weeks & then head back to Arizona. So we have to seize the days!

Had coffee with dd and little baby this morning. Went for a fast walk afterwards plus ran a few errands.

Walked before the rain started. Looks like we will have on and off rain for several days in a row. Definitely not complaining bc we need the rain!

Send us some rain too!
We got up early & walked before the heat & I went to Yoga this afternoon.

Zumba this morning, cleaned the house, went to a meeting & PiYo.

Got to the gym Sunday and Monday and will go this evening to make 3x so far this week.
Tomorrow is a day off - it's my b'day! My Tai Chi class is my Wednesday routine but that is at noon and B'day lunch with mom and sis take precedent! I'll be 65 woohoo!
Got my medicare part A card yesterday (still working so no part B for now) but enrolled in A so as to avoid penalties later. Given this milestone b'day, I have been taking considerable stock in where I'm at, why I'm still working, when I should plan to retire. I thought this was really top of mind, then DH said over the weekend, that he had put in for some new research grants and if they are awarded, he might work through all of calendar year 2028 - I was on board with working until sometime in 2027, but 28…ugh. I'm meeting with our financial advisor next week to sort this out.
Thanks for the hair comment Wonderland. I have naturally curly hair that if let loose drives me nuts getting into my face. I brush it back and the rear view is tons of waves…I have worn my hair +/- the same for decades. Long ago students come back and say …you look just the same! … which of course is not true, but if you keep your hair their "minds eye vision" of you is an echo.
I have gone on too long…take care everyone! TT

Happy Birthday tomorrow TT!!! 65 is a milestone with Medicare choices (I decided on a Medicare supplement plan when I turned 65), retirement thoughts, etc. Lots of decisions to make, especially if your dh is awarded the research grants. Hope you have a fabulous lunch with your mom and sister tomorrow.
I walked yesterday and pulled weeds for an hour today.
