@candy-678 It's funny you mention planning your funeral. I was thinking about that last night too. I wound up deciding to do nothing-let whoever is grieving me plan it. I may change my mind but that was my mood last night. I imagine my relatives will just be annoyed with all my stuff. None of them are churchy so maybe there won't even be a funeral. I'm slowly trying to get rid of things but then I get new things too. My burial plot is in northern Wisconsin, so if/when I go to hospice, I hope I can do it up there so that my body doesn't have to be transported far. I should at least write out instructions for my SIL who is currently my POA.

so sorry to hear about your sister but proud of you for taking your power back. I'm also in the accelerated arthritis club and have convinced my MO that the estrogen suppression is a big factor. Fortunately, she agreed to prescribe Celebrex, which helps reduce the pain.
how is your diverticulitis? Just went through my first experience with that and it was miserable. Had to stop Kisqali for a month because of the antibiotics. Everything back on track now, although still more tired than usual. I have been too exhausted to post very often or even read back, but improving in small steps. Surprised to read in your post that @cookie54 is on a clinical trial. How are you cookie?

@kathrynw1thasea I just wanted to say that it's shitty that all your icing was seemingly undone when that fire alarm happened... I'd be upset too. I have heard from some survivors that neuropathy can fade over time? No idea under what circumstances. I'm starting to feel neuropathy symptoms, which is really scary to me.
Today's vent is hearing about all these coworkers who get to use their paid time off for travel... I have to use mine for treatment days,I am scared to use any more than I have to until I'm done with active treatment. I can't even call in sick if I'm having a bad chemo side effects day, like today. Just feeling sorry for myself, I guess.

Of course! Knowledge is power. I'm not sure how strong I feel since I just faceplanted getting out of an Uber, haha, but thanks for the compliment. We're all pretty damn tough I think to be going through this!

@threetree - congratulations on getting through the biopsy! If I had been stuck in traffic as you were, my anxiety would have been off the charts.
Last month, I spent nearly 2 weeks in the hospital, discharged with a pair of nephrostomy tubes and bags which collect urine. The disease had progressed to peritoneal carcinomatosis. My ureters were being compressed by the tumor which impaired the kidneys’ ability to function.
I’m not pursuing further treatment and will soon be thinking about hospice. My oncologist gave me a 3-6 month prognosis so I need to begin wrapping things up. Otherwise my husband would have too much to handle. Trouble is, I’m already very low on energy…

Cindy, what a frightful thing to come home to. I am thankful for the FD and all they do. Here's hoping your insurance company can get your neighbors to pay.
You all have encouraged me to wear my fitbit and check on my sleep which I am sure is poor, but I probably need proof.
I have a PCP appointment this afternoon. It is with a new doctor. The funny thing is, this is our first originally scheduled "get acquainted" appointment that took four months to get, but I have already seen her twice for quick med checks thanks to my oncologist' request. Strange way of doing things!

@cookie54 I read in another thread your eye issue has resolved itself, but you are going for more tests. Just wanted to send you a great big hug, and lots of light to surround your way forward. ❤️🤗 I know it’s hard when one more thing needs to be looked at, ugh. It’s just the way of it, wishing you trust and patience, and kindness for yourself along the way. We are in your pockets for support.
@scgal08 i know the comments box disappeared for you on this thread.. but thought I’d give it a bump and see if it reappears for you lol.
Navelbine seems to be working, have had 2 of 3 infusions on cycle 1 - yeah team. The Mets are all shrinking a bit, the skin seems to be drying around and on the nodules, which I believe is the healing process . Will see what MOs say, as I see both of them this week, Northwell on Wednesday and then MSK on Friday.
I will miss the Aug 6 zoom though as I will be at infusion, I will be there in spirit. Love to all -Rhonda
