Went to see a symphony perform the soundtrack to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire while watching the movie. We went last year to hear the symphony play during another HP movie. Loved it so much we decided to go back again this year. Plan to return next year for the next movie.
I received some fabulous news today. DD and her dh are expecting their first child - a boy! She told me a few weeks ago that she was pregnant but found out the sex today. They have tried for a very long time to conceive and they are over the moon. Dh and I are over the moon also! ❤️

Got my Tamox today and will start in a week. Where are my tamoxi pals? It says weight loss for one of the side effects. Now that's a good thing. Basha

Lupron, Tamoxifen and Oncotype
Hello All,
I had Stage 2A grade 3 DCIS & IDCIS Cancer. Im 42 and a Mas w/DEIP. My oncotype number was 19 with a 6% chance of recurrence however my oncologist used a tool call Exact Science RSClin tool that says given how big my tumors were (biggest tumor was 28mm) and high grade that my recurrence rate is 17% with only taking tamoxifen. Chemo would’ve only brought it down by 1-3% so my MO thought it would be best to take Lupron shots until menopause and then switch me to AI. I see other posts with women who recurrence numbers were lower than mine but prognosis were a bit worst. I have not decided on the Lupron shot as yet and haven’t spoke to my MO re it bc Im not a fan of hers. I’ve been on TMX for almost 3 weeks and I havent experience any SE…yet. I take it with a multi vitamin everyday and pray over it. I guess my question is, am I at high risk waiting to take Lupron until I feel comfortable with the idea of it? I don’t want to take Lupron and it messes up my no SE I’m having. Have any of your MO spoken to you re your recurrence #s based on the RSClin tool? I know ASCO was earlier this month, any news on new ways to suppress ovaries?

I’m new here. I am currently on TMX, it’s been about 3 weeks and haven’t had much SE except I have notice the mornings are rough waking up. Am I silly to believe that this will be it for SE or shoukd I expect more as time goes on? Also I’m located in NYC and want to find another MO and maybe a clinician or an integrative doctor who can talk to me about natural teas I can drink to aid with my TMX. Can anyone give me recommendations? Thx

Thanks for asking. My pain has been well controlled since that very short period of time when the pharmacy computer system went glitchy (again, no paperwork snafus, no denial of anything!). I was in hospital for 3 weeks and despite diligent care, bed sores still developed on my very skinny butt. I really have no padding there at all. The best news is that I am no longer constipated! Despite copious amounts of assorted laxatives and prunes, nothing was working, including powerful enemas. My hospice nurse said she’d never seen anything like it. However, at 5:00 am today…success! You can believe I was doing the happy dance 😂. I think I even woke my caregiver up😉.
Hope everyone else is doing well.
PS: My neighbors visited me yesterday and they brought their 5 week old baby as well as their 2 year old. Nothing lifts the spirits like snuggling a newborn 👶🏻.

Hi everyone. I have been reading through all your posts for the last couple of months, and they have given me such hope and a sense of serenity in not being alone with my recent diagnosis of Bone Mets. I just signed up and filled out my profile, and looks like I belong in this little diagnosis thread with all of you. I have also joined the "Porcupine Club" (Kisqali with Fulvestrant & Xgeva). Definitely not a fun treatment, but much more tolerable than chemo! Hate that I needed to join this group, but I am so grateful that you are here! A burden shared is a burden lessened.
Original diagnosis 2022 ER+/PR+, Her2low, mixed Stage 1, grade 2, mastectomy, chemo, AI.
Diagnosed with Bone Mets Feb 2025, no organs.

I spoke too soon on the pool. I went out this morning to put in the robot vacuum and noticed the water level was down. There is a different leak at a connection from the pool into the pump. I’m just functioning, awake but not awake, so I made sure to turn the pump off before the timer turns it on. I’ll deal with it later on today. I’ll be on my own, my cousin it turns out has pneumonia and has been hospitalized. My partner can assist me but he is not mechanically inclined.
Sandy, it’s great your home will be ready by 6/30. But biting the bullet $$$$ for another month is steep, albeit necessary. Transitioning from one place to another will be stressful on both you & the cats.
Chris, I’m hoping the eye dr meds and his suggestion for the heated mask help you out. I’d be lost without my contact lenses.
Jackie, I’m not sure how long I would have slept today but it was a fire truck blaring its sirens and beeping its horn that woke me. I can’t imagine our road being crowded at 7:40 AM on a Sunday. I went to sleep at 2:30.
This dang pool will drive me to drink. Add in the tv wall mount. My gf said, re tv mount, I’m a glutton for punishment. I said, tiny house and no real options.

@kbl. My scan showed stability so I was able to get my 5th Enhertu infusion. I will be scanned more frequently. I will continue to check out this board. Peace to you.
Should I take the drug?
At age 86, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Stage 1. I had two surgeries to get it all out. After, I completed five days of radiation. The oncologist now wants me to start anastrozole every day for five years. I have moderate to severe osteopenia in my hips and am concerned that I may have severe bone loss and end up in a wheelchair. I don't want to take the pill. Any advice?
