I used to have a hand wax bath and used it often, but we got rid of it when I down-sized 12 years ago. I loved it, but really don't like taking up counter space with bulky things like that.

Our leadership has already proactively closed the Food Pantry for Friday. Since we are a drive through food pantry we have people outside loading the cars with boxes of food. It will be dangerously cold for folks to be outside on Friday given the forecast (see Sandy’ s weather forecast above since I live in the same general area).

@irishlove I am impressed with what you get done outside as well. Most I get outside is in back in my container to store stuff til recycle or garbage day.

As for the game, I'm a bit more angry than disappointed. Either Caleb Williams or DJ Moore or both were at fault. Caleb got cocky over that game-tying Hail Mary pass, and should have gone to the ground game during OT to set up what would've been a sure field goal by Santos, instead of throwing an interception. And Moore should have known he'd have been the pass' target and been in a position to catch it before the Ram could. Everyone's excited for the future—-but Bob pointed out next year's schedule will be much tougher.
Oh, well, guess we'll be rooting for the Seahawks this weekend. We spent 7 happy years in Seattle and were at the first-ever Seahawks home games (exhibition at Husky Stadium and regular season at the Kingdome). Took us a year to get used to being Midwesterners, especially after growing up in NYC. (Still expect to smell saltwater when I see waves).

@irishlove - In your pocket for sure, for your endoscopy. Also very glad to hear that the UTI is finally gone, and that you are back on track with the cancer meds - so important. I woke up to 30 degrees also, and am enjoying it, because it's been coming with sunshine these last few days, and it makes for great walks; sun and frost together is a real treat in the morning. You are talking about @mara51506 and all of what she does re her housework, well I'm equally impressed with all you do for the "outside", tending to all the wildlife and plants; bringing various ones inside, due to the weather, etc. I couldn't do all that either. @cookie54 - That's really interesting about the cramps you get at night. That's when I notice most of this, so maybe it won't turn out to be anything more than this. Very helpful, thank you so much.
@shanagirl - Oh Shana, are you ever going to get a break with this neck thing? I can't believe how unpleasant (understatement) this has all sounded, and how amazingly you have risen to the challenge. It does sound like you've made some good progress, and this latest issue with the PT and all is hopefully just an unfortunate bump in the road, and things will smooth out again soon. I am "only" 73, and I too always figured I'd make it into my eighties, and I'd still like to, but like you noted, it's hard to see that these drugs can/might carry me that far. Family history and my relatively good health, before the cancer diagnosis all suggested I'd very likely get into my eighties, but ...
I think of you often and really appreciate your comments and support. I'm sending you lots of good wishes and a hug, as you continue to work on your neck problem, and for your scan day tomorrow. I know those very well, and how long and anxiety producing they can be. In your pocket, and here's to a good scan report!

Hi lovetosail, I too was diagnosed in 2009 and was triple positive. I had TCH but do not know anything about the newer treatments. I was 63 when diagnosed and I was able to get through chemo. Good luck!

- Don't worry about venting. We all do that. And what better place than here. I made a major move 27 years ago, and it turned out to be the WORST decision of my life. My quality of life plummeted, I lost my home, I couldn't get a job, and I've never recovered. I know your pain and anxiety. Ive come to realise thst the past is not yo be held onto. Tge future is what really matters.
- You are a role model in the world of MBC. Those 9 years you've survived on ibrance and letrozole are is like 30 years on a healthy person. I wish you many more years. I would say, don't worry about the future or the nedication becoming ineffective, live and enjoy each day as it comes because many people without MBC have passed in those 9 years. Enjoy your life.
- My 2 cents about your property in storage.…if you have the money, and the stuff has strong financial and sentimental value, tighten your belt and pay so you don't lose it. The longer you delay, the more expensive the storage gets. If you signed a delivery contract, getting lawyers will end up financially drowning you and you may still lose tge case eith legal costs on top. And if you really think about it, the moving company is actually incurring costs for as long as your property is in their storage. Finally if you take too long to get your stuff, it may start deteriorating and get spoilt. Also, you may choose to abandon your stuff and it eventually gets auctioned for being unclaimed or being in overdue storage. If the value doesn't offset ALL the movers costs, they can still sue you for the difference.
- Im sorry about the distance from your beloved daughter. That must be hard. Youre going through a very rough time.

It looks like you're still waiting for some answers before you get a treatment plan in place, including a brain MRI to ensure the lesion in your brain is not metastasis. We are sending good thoughts to you in the hopes of a clean scan.

@soldanella - Very helpful information about your experience when you first started this drug. Thank you so much. So far, I'm still trying to get more potassium just from food, as the doctor would need to prescribe any potassium pills after doing a blood test. As of now, that's scheduled for the end of the month. I'd rather get most of my nutrition from food if I can. I was low on magnesium back in November and started some pills, but cut back when things seemed like they'd gotten better. I can't remember them re-testing, but they must have. I'll have to check back in the records. I did start to feel better, but I also think I will add a little more of the magnesium supplement starting today and see if that doesn't help, along with some extra coconut water or something. You are so right about the need for patience! I will try to employ a little more of that too.😊
