My first time posting.... I had double mastectomy and had cancer in both lymphs. Each side were Er/Pr + and HER 2- (in breast and lymphs). And during surgery they also found a 3rd cancer that was opposite Er/Pr- and HER2+. (I got the brass ring! ) Luckly, I had good margins on all. One was stage IA and 2 were stage IIA'S.…

My original path showed IDC ER/PR Positive, her 2 negative. Stage 1a, grade 1, low KI 67. I recently decided to have a second opinion, primarily because my anxiety is driving me mad.…

Hello BC forum - mixed dx after false positive biopsy
I can already tell that this is an incredibly caring community even though it's one none of us wanted to join. After a quick chat with the mods, they suggested I start a thread in this forum. I’m 61 and otherwise healthy and very active. I have been diagnosed after a lumpectomy with Multi-focal (3 Foci) Ductal Carcinoma In…

IDC, DCIS, and ??? in both breasts same time
Struggled with where to make my first post as my diagnosis seems not to quite fit in any of these categories. I've not been able to find definitive answers out on the web. I'm 41, went in for my first mammogram, and then it all just snowballed from there. :( Initially diagnosed with IDC, 8mm, on my left breast. Okay.…

IDC and DCIS in the same tumor?
on my path report it says there was both IDC and DCIS in the same 2.1 cm mass. Not really sure what that means? Does that mean some of it was still at the 'in situ' stage and some of it progressed to IDC? Wouldn't that make it all IDC? I'm confused!

Invasive BC with mixed ductal and lobular features
Just got this finding on biopsy path report. Sound familiar to anyone? The surgeon explained it to me iin a 90 minute appointment. Thought I understood it but now .... I think she said that the specimen had both ductal cancer cells and lobular cancer cells. Also their is no tumor or mass just a "density" or she sometimes…

ER+PR-HER-
Hi! Don't know if this constitutes a "mixed type" but I have noticed quite a few on this board with the same diagnosis and wanted to see if most are low ER positive like I am. I had 5-10% receptors with moderate staining - at first diagnosed as triple negative. I am going through radiation now following neoadjuvant TAC and…
