Lisa....you can send me sunshine anytime you want.  I am truly considering the fact that I'm living in the wrong area of the country now.  My Mom is now gone.  My son is living in Kentucky, and there's really no reason to stay in this winter wonderland except for my good friends.  (and they are pretty important),  It's the decisions in life that are the hardest for me!  LOL

So how are you feeling, JulieChicago?  I hope you're not trying to be superwoman and are just taking some time for youself now, too!  Pop in and let us know how it is going.

Scarp....I'm so envious that you are just "walking distance" from our Annie!  You'll find a great friend in her!

Carol...never apologize for being in your own little world.  We all find different ways to get through this journey and MANY of us discover "a little world of our own" for awhile.  We deserve to escape to our little world and to do the things that bring us enjoyment and fulfill our passions.  We all love you!

Jill...check in and tell us how it's going for you!

Ginny....My friends tell me that I should let you now that you have exquisite taste in jewelry.  They all love my bracelet and earrings!  Hope all is going well for you.  How your little dog doing?  Is he all recovered?

Well, my son and his family were here this weekend.  I always LOVE to have them come.  Now I need to regroup my house.  There's little handprints on all my windows.  There's clutter here and clutter there, and the cat has finally come out of hiding!  It was so much fun!  I was also told that we are expecting another addition to our family in April and I'm so excited!  Life is good!!!!

    Catch you all later.

    Good AM ladies:

Well, Ginny, when you are right, you are right.  I have thought about it, and while I will still steer clear of the other thread where the troubles are except for generalized pleasantries, it is ridiculous for me to be bullied or scared off this one.  I have been away for a week and I am missing you all too much!  I am going to talk to my girls anyway.  Life is too darn short to let perfect strangers cause me heartache!  (big raspberry noise)

I am so happy for you Rita that you had such a great visit and such exciting news....bet this one may be a girl!

julie, hope you are OK....I sent you a PM, hon, hang in there.

Carol, I am glad you are taking a little bit of Carol time!  No one deserves it more!

Ginny, I hope your dog is better.  Those jack Russells, they are the clowns of the dog world but so darn cute, I still miss Amy. (our JR)..

so wiill you be moving do you think rita?  I have already informed my hubby that when our daughter gets settled, wherever it is, we are going.  He is used to me.

    Harley and Jill, all OK?

Sending love and good thoughts to everybody!  Scarp, sent you a PM, honey.

I'm on for friday for the exchange, driving 6 hrs. on wed. to get my daughter, who has a nice little break, so washing sheets, getting groceries, etc.  After surgery I have to hold my arms at my sides for one week.  Should be interesting, but am very excited to get to this phase of things.

3rd lupron down.  No big deal after all.  Just some achies, but who cares.  Rita, I met a very nice lady in the chemo room this am who have been on arimidex for years and she told me the first two years she had alot of trouble with her feet and carpal tunnel.  Then the third year it just mysteriously vanished and now she feels great, she was in there volunteering!  Just some good news to pass along to you and Carol (she says her onc told her arimidex/femara same thing).

Everyone have a beautiful day!  I love our "lucky thread" and I'm not leaving Wink.

    love to all of you

    annie/soon to be barbie boob.

Glad you're staying with us Annie.  You'd surely be missed here, believe me!  I hope that the lady in the chemo room is right.  My foot problems come and go now.  Just when I think I've moved on, they begin to ache again but so far the vitamin D3 and the magnesium have helped.  That's sure good to hear, though.

As for the moving...I'd really like to begin scouting out some different areas but I'm a creature of habit.  I love this house and its "little spot in the woods" and I have so many good friends that I'd hate to leave behind.  Still, the thought does circulate through my mind quite a bit lately.  Maybe I should try a winter away first and see how that goes.  I'm just a warm-weather person and have always loved spring and summer compared to fall and winter.

I'll be thinking about you on Friday!  Wow! That's not far off, Annie.  You're about ready to star in a "make-over."   Now that's exciting!  HUGS!

    Hi everyone,

Glad that everyone seems to be doing great!!

    Annie,

Good to see you!!  I just got back from my little mini vacation, in Cocoa Beach, Fl, visiting some friends.  We rode the motorcycle, and I am so very tired, because it is a long ride!!  I think I'm getting too old to be riding around on the bike all day!!!

I'm going to see my surgeon tomorrow, to get the u/s results.  I'll try to post to let ya'll know how it goes!!

    Hugs

    Hi Ladies,

It's been awhile!!  just checking in to let you all know that everything is going great.  My DH and I were having our midlife crisis and decided to buy scooters!  The weather is beautiful now so we've been out riding and about enjoying it and each other.  My DD and I also have joined the local gym and been trying to workout 3 days a week.  Boy do I feel old and out of shape!  We will also be walking in the Susan G. Koman race for the cure this Sunday.  I know last year it was very emotional, but had a great time. It sounds like all of us are doing well.

Annie- Will be thinking of you on Friday. Hope all goes well.  I've been thinking about recon. and have some questions so I will send you a PM.

Harley- Sounds like you had a very nice time in FL, I know what youmean about riding on the bike all day, but it's great fun.

Rita- Arizona is a great place to live!!  Always nice and warm and no snow!! And if you get home sick, it's just an hour and a half away.  Wink

Carol-  Sounds like you're staying busy with your DS and work. Any plans for a trip to AZ?

Well time to go see what I can make for dinner.

    Talk to you all soon,

    Jill

    Hello All,

Been plugging along with life, my one year of diagnosis has come and gone, and work is just that "work"!  For myself, it's the time of the year I dread most ... Fall, all of my annuals are dying off, the weather here in the PNWest is getting damp, the days are getting short, gads ... I sound like I need meds for depression!

We did manage to hit the links yesterday ... actually had to come home a take a hot bath to warm my bones.  The ol' bones ain't what they used to be.

Speaking of bones and my aches ... Rita, can you refresh my memory as to what you have taken that has helped  some for  you with soreness.  I see its Magnesium, how much do you take?  One of my largest aches are in my feet.  I've already dealt with orthodics (my big health issue prior to this last years mess). I am taking my Calcium with Vit D daily, but that is the only supplement I take.  This darn Femara is not treating me as good as I had hoped, and I am not wanting to take any OTC meds to combat the achiness.

I hear  ya on thinking twice about where we choose to live.  I know that for now with jobs and kids we're in the PNW for atleast another 10 years.  After that, ummmm.... I like the thought of some little place in AZ and then maybe a place to still call home here in Poulsbo.   Hoping that you can find the right fit for yourself.

You crack me up ... cleaning your windows after the visit from your grandson !!!   And Whooo Hoooo on you the arrival of a new grandbaby in April !!!

Annie, 4 days and counting huh ... I'm glad you decided to not let a "mis-communication" on another post keep you from chatting here.  We all know what a kind and caring person you are and your support to us all has been off the charts !!!

Harley, welcome home from your outing to FL.   Yikes, just the thought of riding on a bike has my bottom hurting ... you go gal !

Jill, speaking of biking ... looks like you and Craig are hitting the two wheelers as well.  Its great to hear that life is moving along in the right direction for you .  We actually are planning a trip to AZ in Nov.  We're staying with our friends once again in Mesa, and also will be heading up to Surprise to see another friend and dh whom I walked the 3 Day event with here in Seattle.  Maybe there would be a chance we could get together for a dinner out ???   We are a bit crunched for time between staying at two places but it would be awesome to try and make something work out.   If Nov doesn't work, I can only bet that we'll be trying very hard to head down again in Mar/Apr.  Great to see you poppiing in to say "hi"!

Yikes, time to start some dinner ... I definitely keep an eye on the post, I know you all don't want to hear excuses for the absence of posting ... I just want you all to know that I feel good just reading what you all are up to.  Call me strange, but there is definitely a calming effect to read what my sister friends are up to.

My sincere appreciation for you all being there !!!

Oh Carol, how nice to e(hear) you!  Now don't get fall moped out girl, think of all the nice things about it, number one and center...you made  your one year!!!! Pretty leaves, romantic fires, cozy nights..........lots of nice things.  Esp. that one year mark, kiddo.

thank you for your kind words....it was my screw up, but a miscommunication is a hard one to mend.  No part wanted of it on the other end, but that's OK, I'll just wish them well and continue on.  Cancer hurts everyone and sometimes it comes out in different ways.  I'll just send good karma.

I love to read the post too, Carol, just to know what everyone is up to.  Do you notice how calm we've become?  I was telling Julie (who is fine, just recovering a bit and busy with two little ones) that she should have read us in our heyday!  Things were not so calm and collected then.  At least not my posts for sure.

I also still think this post is "lucky", maybe it is all the positive energy we've all poured into it.  But it is a rare and wonderful sisterhood, I want to keep all you guys as buddies for life, like war vets!

So good to see you Carol, I hope that femara backs off big time and starts being nicer to you.  You deserve it so much.  I'll be joining you in that cup of arimidex sometime in the next three weeks and will let you know how my achies are doing.  So far, the lupron SE's are just not really there despite all the bad press and horror stories.  I did have the mother of all hot flashes yesterday, even my ears!  It was bizarre.  Went along with almost an anxiety attack and a dizzy spell.  (prob. nerves) but it was weird.  Went away and I am determinedly ignoring it if it comes back.  I plan on driving to get my kid in PA tomorrow and nothing is stopping me.  then Friday, a Foobfest.  Let's hope it works out.  Between the patches and the edema and the breakdown of the skin, I wasn't sure it would.  But it has............so I do have high hopes for friday.  I know recon of an irradiated boob is not always workable.  Mine seems to be.  Guy is a miracle worker for sure.  I do need to walk in circles due to the disparity in sizes, but so what.  I have a boob and it looks OK.  Not great, but OK.  Hopefully better with time.

Recon is one heck of a long process and if I had it to do over, not sure if I'd known going in how long it would be and how many surgeries, if I would have done it.  Harley, I know now how you felt when you kept feeling it would never end.  It kind of doesn't, does it.  But it's what I signed up for so.....

Well, onward and upward, I'm already in and I only play to win, gals.  Carol, I am praying for your aches to go away!!!! Do you think that damp weather is making you worse?  I will also pray for clear skies for you.

take care my lovely warrior goddesses all.  Harley, obv. that is the source of the nick name.  Ow, I hurt just thinking of you!

P.S. Hi to Jill also, and thank you for thinking of me on friday and sending good vibes.  Right back at ya!

Really nice to hear you are getting to have some fun now and scooters!  Cool!

Also inspiring to hear you are working out.  After recon healing, I have to get on that "bike" and get myself back in shape.  Good for you!

Oh goodness, I should start reading these posts back further, Rita thank you!  I am bound to be just fine now with all these good vibes coming at me on Friday.

Yes, the lady in the chemo room had terrible achey feet, hobbled about and carpal tunnel, she said they began to come and go about year two and suddenly vanished.  Three more years on it with nary an ache except the damp weather in  her thumbs only a little bit.  Nothing she couldn't deal with.  She looked about 54-70, was volunteering in the chemo room, had lost both breasts to cancer at two separate times and chimed in to a conversation I was having with someone to cheer them up as they had had it two times also.  I was rather inspired by her.  She looked awesome and lovely and was full of energy rushing around the place.  (obviously feet did not hurt)

So if it helps you to hear that tale, Rita, I am so glad, she did say magnesium helped her as well.  Also omega 3s fish oil.  Interestingly, my onc gave me that in a multi calcium/d/Omega 3s.

My husband uses it for his knee joints too....maybe ask the onc about it and if it could help you out?

    love

    Hey gals,

I just wanted to update you on my surgeon appt. today, to get my u/s results, from the lump I found.

It is just scar tissue, as we all suspected...  I was so relieved!  I can breathe now!!

When the nurse was taking my b.p. and my temp., I told her that I always hold my breath while they are taking my vitals... I don't know why, but I've started doing this...

I've been saying that I think my post treatment period has been so much harder than the active treatment part.

Annie, you are so funny!  I am so glad that you are staying!!  Yes, I remember thinking "Shouldn't I be finished by now?"  In fact, I said as much to my ps, when he told me to come back in two months, and they were going to take pictures for his portfolio, since mine turned out so nicely.  Sorry if I forgot, but did you already have your exchange surgery?  Since mine was done differently, I didn't have to do that part... my ps just shoved the implants in and filled 'em up!   Are you getting tattoos?  Mine have faded quite a bit, but for now, I am going to just leave 'em alone!  It hurt too much!

And yes, ladies, the motorcycle ride was fun, but it was SO LONG!  It took about 10 hours to get from my house in NC, to our friends place, in Cocoa Beach!!  I told my dh that maybe I am just getting old, but I can't endure such long rides these days!!  So he said that in the future, we will try to plan these kind of trips over two days, and stop at a hotel.  Thank you!!

    Carol,

I wish I could do at least a shorter walk or even a run for bc, but there don't seem to be any in my area.  Maybe one day, I'll just go to Charlotte, because I think that is the closest one.  Why oh why don't they organize one in my area??

    Rita,

I'm going to send in my application form for Reach to Recovery, and I'm hoping the program will start in early November, at least, that is what the note said that the director sent me.  I was afraid to send it after I found that lump.  Superstitious, I guess...

Take care, and Annie, I really like the warrior princess title...

Harley...YaHoo!!!  What a relief!  Just scar tissue...ha!  If somebody would have told us a couple years ago that we'd be YaHooing about just scar tissue, we would have thought they were crazy!

I'm glad that you're getting into the Reach to Recovery program.  I went through the training which was wonderful and have never heard from them yet.  I hope your program is moreo active than ours here.  I am still looking for a way to give back and help others.

Anyway...so glad that you got good news!  I'm with you!  The post treatment is almost harder than the actual treatments.

    Hang in there.

    Thanks!  You are so sweet!!

I hope that I will hear from the Reach to Recovery people soon.  The training is supposed to be in early Nov., but I'll call next week if I don't hear anything sooner.

It is funny, I was just thinking that tomorrow, 10/9 will be ONE year since my last chemo tx!!

    Hi Ladies,

So Annie, I believe tomorrow is your big day ... here's to an uneventful surgery with great results!!!  It does seem like a long haul for you, but by tomorrow at this time you will be that big step closer to calling this a wrap.  I'll have you in my thoughts !!!

Rita, so maybe the Reach to Recovery gals have not called you, but I can honestly say that just hearing your voice was soothing to me.  There are certainly some who always seem to have just the perfect words and calming spirit to share.  You are that gal !!!  I have purchased my new "supplements", my plan is to start them this 3 day weekend.  With my prior track record with some funky GI distresss, I think I'll play it safe !!!  I also got my magnetic bracelet in the mail today, I called my Rad Doc, ended up talking with the nurse who has worked in the rad office for 22 years ... she had never heard of any problems with the magetic bracelets after having rads treatment.  Maybe I'll fire a post out as well on the rad threads.

I also stopped by the local Rec Center, checked on Yoga classes ... I'll try my hand at that starting next Monday.   Figure some good stretching and breathing exercises can't hurt, along with my new "magic" bracelet !!!  You know what I probably need is to vacation more often in the dry heat of Arizona ... its darn right cold and wet here tonight.  I started a fire and I'm watching the LPGA in the living room tonight.  Havn't spent much time in this room since last year when I was home off and on throughout surgeries and txts. !!!

Harley, whooo hoooo .... its always great to hear of good results from any/all of our tests these days.  Amazing how the words "scar tissue" sound like a no-biggy these days.  I got a kick out of how you knew the exact date of your last chemo from last year.  I know my mast. date, figure that is kinda my survivor date, hmmmm, maybe when I had the nodes out, I guess they had some cancer in them too!   I'll be celebrating in Dec !!!

So as I was chatting with my dh last night, the concern over economics was the hot topic.  Personally, I was having a hard time getting too excited over the whole situation.  As he was all stressed out about our jobs, retirement accts., yada, yada, yada, I basically just broke down and said, I'm more concerned about my health over the next few years than anything else.  I'm assuming this might be part of the "new normal" for the time being.  I can only continue to hope that the thoughts in the back of my mind of this crummy disease rearing its ugly head again will become a bit more distant in the near future.

Feeling less than enthused about cooking, grabbing the pizza delivery number !!!

A great eve to all, Carol

Annie....hugs and prayers have been sent your way!  I hope that all goes well and can't wait for an update.  We're all there with you in spirit!

Carol...I loved talking with you and do hope that the supplements do the trick for you!  How well we all understand the thoughts in the back of your head about the ugly demon rearing up again!  I think they will always be there but as time goes on we become less anxious about them until it's time to go for one of those "routine" check-ups.  I find that many days go by and I don't think about it.  Then, when something else is bothering me or I get a strange ache or pain, they all resurface.  As Harley said, sometimes the after-treatment days are worse than the treatment days.  We will make it, one step and one day at a time!  I have faith that a cure is just around the corner and soon people will be saying, Breast Cancer?   What's that?

Julie, how are you doing?  Please check in.  I've been thinking about you and wondering if you've recovered from your surgery!

    Hugs to all of you............

Thinking of you, and hoping all goes well today.  Please post as soon as you can, to let us know you're ok.

    Carol,

I never thought I'd be so happy about having scar tissue!!

Yes, I guess I'm kind of strange, because I remember those dates so very well!!  March 15 was my biopsy, and May 2nd was my bi-lateral mast.  August 7th was my FIRST chemo, and Oct. 9th was my LAST chemo!!

Just popped in looking for Annie..........Hope all is going well there!  She has been in my thoughts all week.

The weather in Illinois has been lovely this weekend....a true Indian Summer. I love it but do not like what lies ahead.

Carol... let me know how your new supplement program goes.  I've thought about yoga, too but most of the beginning yoga classes here are on Wednesday night which is when I do the youth group so that doesn't work for me.  Also, my golf lessons have paid off.  I shot a 93 on Friday...my best game yet.  There's nothing like a good round to bring you back to the links!

I'm like you Harley.  I have those dates etched in my brain.  Congrats on your "last of chemo aniiversary" that you just celebrated!  YEA!!!

Well, I'm off to mow the yard.  Have a great Sunday everyone!

Whooo hooooo Annie, leave it to you to post with one hand!!!  I take it your doing okay, sounds as if you may know more by tomorrow.  Your in our thoughts gal, and I'll be sending some good vibes your way for a quick complication free recovery!

Rita, starting my D3 and Magnesium yesterday.  I had to re-read the dosages ... the magnesium said to take 3 tablets daily (I thought each we're 400 mg) !!!  Low and behold its (3) tabs that are a serving of 400mg.  Next I was reading my bottle of Calium with Vit D which I had been taking.  When I read the ingredients it states "D3".  Now I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between the "D3" tabs I just bought and the others I had.  Its a hard being a "supplement virgin"!!!

The magetic bracelet thus far is a LOSER !!!  Actually I think I overdid yesterday, besides the usual yard work, I shoveled a 1/2 yard of gravel ... I looked like I was about 90 yrs old when I hobbled to the potty this morning !!!

Awesome golf gal ... there goes that handicap!!!  Good for you, so was there any particular part of your game that you had been working on?

Hitting my first Yoga class tomorrow ... kinda nervous as I am clueless as to what to expect.  I'll report back !

Happy Sunday Eve, yeahhhhhh .... a gov holiday tomorrow !!!

Yeah Annie!  So glad you're pleased with the results of the job!  You'll knock off this fatigue pretty quickly now and be ready to move right on!  In the meantime, just rest and pamper yourself.  You certainly deserve it!  :-)

    Hugs to you!

    Annie,

So glad that you are happy with the results of your surgery!!   I know how the reconstruction process just dragged on for me, and when I had the nipple surgery, and those darn tattoos for the aureolas, I had my moments when I wished I had just left well enough alone!  But, it IS worth it now, when I see the results.

Good to see that you are able to post now.  Get some rest and happy healing!!  You DO deserve it!!

    Carol,

I do yoga sometimes!  It really helps with my flexibility!   Let me know how you like it.  I really enjoy it, but I have to start doing it on a more regular basis.

Hi there, Rita.  Thanks for the warm wishes on my chemoversary.  Maybe I'm just being silly, but I think things are starting to smooth out some, and that is a very good thing!!

    Jill,

Yes, riding on a bike, or scooter, or motorcycle all day long can make you sore!!  Enjoy your new scooters!!  It is so nice to be outside, and enjoy the nice weather!

    Ginny,

Where are you?  Hope to hear from you soon!

    Hugs

Well I'm no longer the yoga virgin ... and I'm also probably the most un-limber/stiff as a board gal there is.  The class totally exceeded my expectations.  The instructor has been teaching here locally for many years, her voice was calming, the music appropriate, and the stretches we're just what the doc could have ordered for me.  Call me a gushy mess, but as we laid on the floor the last 10 minutes breathing and listening to the lap of ocean waves, I actually had tears running down the side of my face.  My hormones (or lack there of), must be totally out of sync.   My guess is that I will be feeling some body parts tomorrow morning as well!  I'm looking forward to class again on Weds.

Whooo Hoooo Annie ... sounds like you are very happy with the results of surgery.  I've been getting a kick out of your posts ... nothing keeps you down !!!

Rita, been doing the Mag/D3 thing since Sat ... no relief yet ... I can see where that Mag can be a fine line between not enough and too much !!!  For me the 400 mg is plenty for my finicky GI tract.

I hit the gym after work today, havn't been there since before my diagnosis last year.  Just walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes.  Felt pretty darn good ... although I'll probably be feeling it after I sit for a bit and then try to hobble along.  Seems that if I keep going my bones mellow out, its when I sit for a while, or lay in bed that I have a really tough time.  Its always something !!!

Off to start a little dinner ... a good night to all ... Carol

Hi girls, glad to see you are all on and doing well.

Thanks for all the good thoughts, I went to a sports bra today, thank god and have a bit of mobility.

Everyone sounds great, Carol, the same thing has happened to me.  We can only tough it out for so long then just like an infectinon, all that anxiety etc. has to come out.  I think tears are a good thing, rain makes the flowers bloomLaughing

I bet when I try yoga, the same thing will happen to me, or else this new foob will migrate up around my neck or something.  But now that you talk about it, it does sound very nice.

I hope you get the magnesium dosage where it works for you.

Harley, Ginny, Rita, jill, hi all!  Forgive my not typing more.  Still a bit weirded out and out of it from the anesthesia, but gettin along.  Post op with PS tomorrow where I shall tell the guy he's worked a miracle.  He has.  From an eggplant colored, blistered mess with potholes of where skin broke thru and infections etc., I now have my boob back.  Or my foob.  Whatever, it did work, but Harley, know the feeling of the length of this procedure.  Whew.  One cannot risk thinking about it too much or one would not proceed.

love to all, and Carol, good thoughts and prayers to you to feel so much better very soon.  Remember many women on these drugs suddenly have their symptoms vanish, never to return after about a month or so on it.  I wonder if the estrogen leaves and that's it or something.  I sure hope that happens for you!

love to all of my beautiful warrior goddesses

    Hi gals!

I hope everyone is having a great day today!  Any change in the feet issue, Carol?  You really have me thinking about searching around for a yoga program.

So Harley, what are you doing now to fill in your days since you're not working at that little shop anymore?  I bet you're not having a bit of trouble finding something to do.  Have you got your application in for the Reach to Recovery program?

Jill....I'm assuming that you've picked up the pieces and have started to get your life back together again.  We miss you!  Check in more often and keep us updated.

Annie's got her boob back!!!!!!  Hip Hip Hooray!  Just strut your stuff, gal!  LOL

Well, I actually have a day at home today.  I'm going to play Suzie Homemaker today and tackle the laundry.  In fact, I'm even going to make stuffed peppers for supper and try to write some questions and make a little cash.  Guess that means that I should get off here and get busy.  You know, I think I really got more done at home when I was working.  Then I couldn't put things off until the next day!

Everyone have a good day!  It's getting cooler here each day, Lisa, and I'm really envious of your weather!

    Rita,

Well, I mailed the application last week, on Wednesday, but I haven't heard back yet from them.  There is a spot where you list your dr. names, and phone number, and address, so they will be contacting my dr. first, I guess.  Maybe tomorrow I'll call my contact at Reach to Recovery, to see if they received my application yet.

No, I am not running out of things to do yet.  I really need to clean the house, and re organize my walk in closet, but I keep finding other things that I'd rather be doing!!  lol

I wish you would show me how to make some money, just by writing a list of questions.... I'm interested...

    Harley,

Give me a couple of weeks and I'll get back with you on the question-writing process.  This next week is going to be super busy because I'm doing a presentation on next Friday for the scholastic bowl convention and I have LOTS to get prepared.  I won't forget that you're interested, though.

    Have a good weekend.

Hi gals, just popping in to say hi, and hope all are doing well.  rita, that question thing sounds really interesting!  I am writing a book at the moment, but who knows where that'll go....

Feeling really well and the foob is awesome.  Still, a long way to go, but one thing at a time, right gals?

Harley, how r u?  Your cats are the cutest......I'm really feeling that kitten pull and thinking about it.....

Carol, Ginny, Jill.........hope you guys are great!

Rita, I know what you mean about the yoga, now I want to try it too as soon as the PS gives the OK.  I think I'm getting my arimidex RX this week to begin along with something that is Vit D800/Calcium 1000/Omega 3s all in one.  Hope I tolerate all of it well.

Every have a great day gals!

    xoxo

    Annie,

Your kitty is so CUTE, too!!   She is just the cutest!!   I'm glad that you like your new foob!  I like my new boobs, too.  Before my bx, when my surgeon told me that he recommended a bi-lateral mast., with reconstruction, IF it was bc...  well, it was easy to be brave then, since my surgeon told me that he didn't 'think' it was bc, and I wanted to cheer up my dh, because he just looked SO very serious.  Anyway, I told him, "hey, I can get bigger breasts!"

    Rita,

Yes, please let us know more about the questions... I'm intrigued.  Oh, I wanted to tell you that I got up the nerve to call about the training for Reach to Recovery today, and the woman who is in charge of that told me that the training will be held on Nov. 1st, which is a Saturday, and there is a small crafts fair in town that we wanted to go check out, but I guess I'll be going to Litchfield for training.  I wonder why they can't have the training at a closer location.  Oh, well.  I guess I shouldn't complain too much; I should just be glad that I am feeling good, and can drive down there for the training.  After my last little scare, I sort of promised that I would try not to complain so much, and I'm excited about helping others who are newly diagnosed.

Hope everyone is doing great!  Have a happy weekend, girls!!

    Hugs

Hi ladies, just checking in on my girls......am feeling great and getting around, only tylenol now.

Next week is onc visit (gulp, always scarey) but I am riding high on this new foob.  It's so silly really, I'm like a 7th grade boy with this thing.

Hmm.  Harley, I notice you are now into the helping others thru this phase...did you even notice you made this landmark?  Be sooooo proud of you!!!!!  You made it, and look at what you are doing!!!!  Go girl!!  Thanks for the compliments on my little fur lady, we love her so much.  My heart is still aching for my old Dave, but I have come to realize that if he got away from the coyote that is great, and if he needs me, he'll find me.  My husband gently reminded me that he was very old looking and perhaps it was just his time to go.  I'm thinking this old coot took down a coyote or two or three on the way out if he did get snagged which I don't think he did.  None the less, I am now become the crazy cat lady that drives slowly past where he was sighted, with the bag of cat food in the back of my trunk complete with bowl and water if I do see him.  (sigh) Maybe.

I still miss him:(.  I did want a kitten but now I think I'm going to go to a shelter and take the hardest luck case that no one wants off their hands.  Kind of honoring Dave with that, my chemo cat.

Looking for Miss Carol to chime in and let us know how her achies are going.  I hope better!!! She's gotten me all excited for yoga too.

I love our thread, we all seem to be in good places.  I have gotten to know Julie Chicago pretty well in PM, she is a lovely, friendly, smart lady and is coping amazingly well.  Not sure how well I'd pull anything off with a 4 yr old and a 6 yr old as well.  She is doing well and seems to be getting better and thru infections, family illnesses, etc.  Just thought i'd pass that on, as I know you guys are all concerned about her and honestly, I don't think with such little active kids, she has any time to post!

I've also volunteered to "show and tell" at my PS's office.  Amazing, kind man.  It's the least I can do to help someone else thru this.  It strikes me that I have utterly no shame in pulling off my shirt for perfect strangers now.  I probably should, tho.  I figure the whole of the eastern seaboard seems to have seen my boob, foob, recon, etc. I am sure all of you feel the same with drs.  You get kind of non reactive after so much medical stuff.

Well, hoping the best of weekends for everyone, and love to all my beautiful warrior goddesses
