Junie....he can empty a pool pretty quick.  Hope he didn't splash pool water in your drink.

I just got back from surgeon appt and pre-op at the hospital.  What a zoo.  I know I need a beer now.  No, not one beer...several.  4 hours of appts and tests really is tiring.  Paleeeeze set me up with a nice cold bottle of Coors Light Jocks.  Where is everyone?  Wishing everyone a great weekend.  HunkyD

Hi HunkyD, Is that a 16 of Silver Bullets that I see sitting beside your chair?

Found out today that they are going to stabilise my tibia with pieces of metal so that I will be able to walk in the future. Surgery set for Wednesday. Very nervous and very excited.

Sucking down the wine.. Have a great weekend. My peonies bloomed just in time, they always seem to bloom for this weekend.

Pants? Jocks? Give these girls some fun! Strawberry Daquiris with American Flags would be nice. Have a great weekend!

Stormy...yes I have had a few too many Coors Light tonight.  Best of luck for your surgery.  You have been lame way too long.  I am excited for you to get your leg back under you strong and stable.  You do realize...we will be surgery sisters next week.  Hope the bar can handle us when we get home.  I am sorry for you but I will be glad to have the company.  Take care...Hunkydory

Already planning to have a few drinks next week for Stormy and Hunkydory!!!   That pre-op hospital testing is enough to make anybody drink!!!   A couple years ago I had sudden, heavy bleeding (hadn't had a period for several years thanks to chemo...GYN thought it was Tamoxifen build-up in the uterus, but while his ultrasound did show a build-up, it also revealed some polyps which turned out to be the problem.   So, had myself "cleaned out"!!)   The pre-op visit for blood work and x-rays was bad enough, but the day of admission had me spitting nails!    I knew that on admission to the hospital, I had to pre-pay the amount they calculated that my insurance wouldn't cover for the procedure.   That wasn't a problem, but when checking in and finalizing paperwork was told that if the insurance paid more that a refund would be made to my husband.  That stopped me cold--wait a minute, this is MY insurance policy in MY name only, I'm writing the check--my husband doesn't have anything to do with my health insurance policy.   Any refund should be addressed to ME!   Was told it was a state law----oh did I get mad and wanted to raise a big stink, but it was like 6 a.m. and I just wanted it all over and done.   Then after admittance had issues while being prepped for surgery...had big neon pink lymphedema risk bracelet on right arm--NO needle sticks!   Had a nurse insist that she needed to draw blood from that side because the IV was started in my left side.   I had a screaming hissy fit!!!   Luckily, I was loud enough that someone else came rushing in and  made everything okay--it was a nightmare!   Hope next time I'm admitted to a hospital I'm unconscious!!!     well, guess I still have some sour grapes to let all that spill out--SORRY !!!!

gonna sit at the bar and have a couple drinks then head out to the pool for a couple more and soak up some Vit D!!!    hugggssssss!!!!!

    Hey Hunky and Stormy,

I'll be toasting you next week.  I hope all goes swimmingly.  Speaking of swimming, I haven't been in a pool since getting implants.  I wonder if they'll feel weird.  Maybe this is the weekend to find out.  Make room, bouncer.

Wishing all a tranquil holiday weekend.

    Hi Drinkin' Buds~

Stormy - I guess the surgery went okay?  Bummer you have to stay out of the pool for 72 hours, but guess Jocks and Pants can bring you wine so you'll be comfortable Cool

Had a biopsy last week because I had a calcification that had increased in size since previous mammo.  Got results Fri - no sign of cancer WooHoo!

Leaving a week from today for Vegas!!  Mark hasn't been there in 30 years.  I told him it's changed just a little LOL

Jocks, Pants - get my friends a round on me.  And be snappy about it.

Junie - please stay away from the hospital.

    Cheers,

    Donna

Donna: Wonderful news about the biopsy results.  Have a great time in Vegas.

Jocks, my man, get these ladies a beverage.

HunkyD - Have you had your surgery? If so, I hope you too are doing well!

Donna - Yeeee Haaaaaa! No cancer is def. worth a toast! Have a great time in Vegas! You will be 7 and 1/2 hours away from me! Sure wish I had the time to come see ya! Oh well, I will be in Tulsa the end of August. Don't make any plans to go away!

Checking my umbrella at the door.   Glad it is always sunny here; I'm so  s i c k  of rain!   Donna, good news on the neg biopsy--I go for mammo next week.   They've been keeping an eye on an area with calcifications, so hoping they haven't grown.   Have fun in Vegas--love that place!   Think its been 2 yrs since were there last.   Siloam Springs has been getting our business lately--think we have paid for half their renovations!!!   But, it is really nice--much like the Cherokee one in Tulsa where we first met up.

Stormy--hope you're on the road to recovery--if you can't drink yet, we'll be happy to have a few for you!!!

    hugggsssss to all!!!

Just wanted to stop in the lounge briefly.  It is hopping!!!  You girls will have to drink for me.  Got home from hospital last night with a 900ml graduated plastic drinking cup with a straw big enough to deliver lawn irrigation water, and 6 lovely body drains to empty. Still am taking the pain meds every 4 hours.  Pathology showed everything was B9 in this breast. With what I could read sounds like everyone is fine. Later....HunkyD

Enjoy the wine Stella.  I just plopped in for a latte this morning and to see if anyone is passed out pool-side.  The place was full of a lot of happy people yesterday.  Glad your sugergy went well Stormy. Good news on your results Casino Girl.  Junie, Goldie, CAZ, Stormy.... I think you kept Pants and Jocks on their toes yesterday.  They seem pretty tired today.

Somebody is getting a foot massage over at the banana hammock.  Can't tell who it is, but it sure looks like it feels great!  You all are awesome!  HunkyD

Hi gals!!! Been away for a few days...had the bridesmaid thing in CA, and then we had several days in Vegas. Wedding was fun, and Vegas was soooo crowded....thought they said it was slow there....NOT! We had a great time...lots of gambling and drinking and shows. Found a fun (and cheap!) casino Donna...its the old Ellis Island (behind Hard Rock I think). They have a $6.99 filet cut steak (thick and tender, but not filet) w/ fixings and micro beer...was really good. And all their micro beers were great....plus they make their own root beer. The Hofbrau Haus (sp?) was fun too. Had the 26th floor rm at MGM...overlooked NewYork,NewYork...fantastic view! Anyway, its great to be back here getting taken care of by Pants and Jocks instead of getting drinks from those gals in the skimpy outfits! Like looking at those guys much, much better.

Donna, glad you can celebrate in Vegas...wonderful biopsy results...yay!!!   Stormy, Glad your surgery is over with, and hope you soon will be jumping into that pool...and running away from Jocks!   Carol, Did you get to swim with your implants yet? I haven't noticed a difference....other than that I don't need pushup swimsuits anymore...no more drooping!    Junie, Hope that sun will stay there for awhile...I know the rain has been almost unbearable. What a hosp experience you had back then..yikes. Hope the ML truck is parked outside again...and that they are nice and cold!  And Stella, welcome to our bar....you will LOVE it here. Wish you could see the pics of the Hot Tatties Lounge and Banana Hammock Pool Bar...and of Pants and Jocks...but I think they might have been removed(?). I saved them in my own files, so can look at the pics whenever...and dream away. Make sure Jocks keeps your wine coming...and don't forget about the back and foot massages.

    Cheers everyone!

Wow Wahine. Vegas sounds like so much fun. Unbelievable.

That foot massage there looks better thah anything, I wonder where HunkyD finds those pictures.

No massages today, just rain and fieldwork for those who can walk, drive, and or plant. I guess that we'll be singing hymns to Jesus as we go.

HunkyD - You never cease to amaze me. You additions to the pictures are amazing! Hope you are feeling and healing well.

Stella - You have entered the lounge, "Hot Tatties Lounge" Complete with 2 of the most adorable bar tenders, I mean "Tattie Tenders" you could imagine, indoor pool, big screen tv, fire place and I believe we even have a little casino. Don't forget to check things outside at the Banana Hammock. I have put the link below to the pics of our lounge and Tattie Tenders.

Kathy - Welcome home, glad you had a good time. Did you manage the heat ok?

Stormy - What are you guys doing in the field? Not thinking you are one of the ones doing the walking! Hope you are healing well too.

Carol - We are going to be down in Phoenix. Not sure if it will be next weekend or the following. Be staying at Embassy Suites down on Greeway and I-17. Managers reception Friday & Saturday night from 5:30 - 7-30 (FREE DRINKS) If you like, come on down for a meet and some drinks. If you are interested, I'll let you know for sure when we will be there.

Dee - Forgot about Kareoke Night, I will NOT be singing. But will most certainly sit back and enjoy a few drinks while listening to anyone brave enough.

Hello, hugs & cheers to everyone else.

Oh yippeee...so excited.  4 more drains came out this morning so I only have one little hand grenade left.  He is going to be coming out shortly too I think.  I am almost happy enough to quit my pain pills and drink.  Wahine....I think I saw the ML truck outside.  It is parked right behind the Coors Light truck.  I think we are both going to be happy.  Dee, I am definately going to have to be drunk to listen to Kareoke night.  Like Lori, I won't be participating either.  There must be someone out there that can carry a tune!!   Stormy was talking about singing in an earlier post.  She will maybe sign up for a song or two.  Junie, good luck on the mammo this week. Hope you follow in Donnas good results.  CAZ and all the rest of you lounge lizards.....have a great day!  HunkyD

    Hi Buds~

Kathy - thanks for Vegas tips.  I never win at a Casino.  I should probably change my name from CasinoGirl, huh? LOL  Wait - I did win at blackjack about 8 years ago, so I think I'm due for another win.

Been trying not to drink much this week since I'll be in Sin City Thurs, but dammit it's hot outside and a girl needs a cold beer!!

Stella - welcome to our bar - it's the funnestess (we make up words sometimes) thread on the boards!

Hunky glad you're losing the drains and will soon be able to commence "regular" drinking ;-)

Lori, Junie, Stormy, CAZ and everyone else, when I win my big jackpot, I'll throw a HUGE party!  Pants and Jocks may need some help to keep up Cool

    Cheers,

    Donna

dang--all this going gambling talk has me at fever pitch!!!  so, we've booked a little get-away road trip to Tunica for my birthday--which birthday?  we'll just say 30+ ...   bestest news is our dear Wahine and DH may try to meet up with us--what a hoot that would be!  I know many pages back we all talked about Tunica--any other takers?????   We're booked for Jun 22-25...my druthers would be Vegas, Tahoe, Reno, Laughlin, or Monte Carlo...but will take what I can get!!!   Donna-hit big in Vegas, then you and Mark can fly from T to Memphis and join us!!!   And, ChristineK--lots of flights from STL to Memphis!!!

Stormy--hope your leg is healing up; HunkyD--just can't fathom more than one drain!  That friggin drain was one of my worst (and funniest--can't discuss in public!!!) memories!!!!   As always, having a semi-freakout over mammo tomorrow--JOCKS--one more ML, please!!!     aahhhh, cold beer, friends--life is gooood!!!!

It is getting warm back East here, time to start on my program of medicinal Yuenglings. After two you can sing about anything. If you don't mind I'll keep my mouth shut and sigh it, Garth!

So good to here that everyone is doing great. HunkyD that one littlr drain will be gone soon. Are there any stitches? Your body's responding so easy that Jocks must be doing all your housework and cooking.

    Hugs to all, Stormy

Fun day at the bar for me.  I'm sorry to say that being off work with limited activities due to doctor orders can make one kind of looney.  I know you are all probably getting sick of my photoshop pictures but I guess I am entertaining myself.  Just tell me to stop if it is annoying ya all, and slam my laptop lid down on my fingers.Sealed  Hey sounds like all you guys planning trips really are hankering for a little gambling....Hope you all have a blast.  Happy up and coming birthday junie!!!  We'll miss you here at the lounge.  Sounds like the casinos better get ready to dish out some money.  Speaking of casino...I think somebody is lurking in the pool.

Hey, that's Donna lurking in the pool. I thought she was suppose to be going to Vegas! Maybe she is looking for some change that has been dropped in there, to play the slots!

Stop with the pictures Hunky? NO WAY! I vote for more!

Going for my official Heiny Scope results today, but after what he said at the time of the test, I am just looking at it as a waste of my day. Almost an hour and a half drive, one way. And you almost always wait at least a half hour or more in the waiting room!

    Hugs & Cheers

HunkyD, I agree with Lori...I love your photoshop pics....so creative!!! Keep 'em coming....pretty please with a mango margarita and a silly umbrella on top! That was so neat how you got a shot of Donna in the pool..can't get away with anything at this bar. BUT....at least...what happens at the bar stays at the bar...right?

Best of luck with the "heiny scope" results Lori, and also to junie for good mammo results. Yup, will be soooo neat to meet up in Tunica!!! Anyone else able to come?

Stormy, I notice you mentioned "Yuengling" beer...I tried it for the first time this week at Ruby Tuesdays....it is just $3 on draft all day, at ours. Boy was it good!!! Actually DH ordered it and I ordered a mild ML (sorry junie!)...and mine tasted like water (maybe something was weaker with their draft, as I usually like ML), so DH was sweet and let me drink his. Now I am hooked on the Yuengling.....ummmmmm that sounds good right now. Oh, Jocks just told me that it is on draft here at the Banana Hammock too...so, cold ones all around!! You all should try it....come on, just swim on over and Jocks will fix you up with one. Nice day at the pool, but looks like it is going to storm here at home.  Glad we always have perfect weather at our HTL!!!

    Cheers all,

    Kathy

Crackin me up with all that snortin Junie!

Well, heiny scope was fine, which is what I expected. Don't have to deal with that again for 5-8 yrs. Providing I live that long.....which I plan on!

Guess we don't have to worry about Donna pruning up, her wet suit will keep her dry. But I am betting she has something else, besides air, in that tank!

Carol, if you are out there.....we are heading out this morning about 10am. Like I said, we will be at Embassy Suites on I-17 and Greenway. Free Happy Hour at 5 or 5:30 for 2 hours. We will be there!

Have a great week end girls!

    CHEERS!
