    Hi Y'all!

Yes, I'm still on the darn antibiotics, but things seem to be clearing up. I saw the PS yesterday and had another fill so I'm up to 400 cc now. Only another 500 cc to go :) I found out that I may not even have had an infection, but maybe getting lymphedema! I am going to PT next week and now have to wear some kind of compression sleeves and gloves. *sigh* Once I'm off the biotics I am going to get slammed! lol Take care everyone!

Yes, Jaybird CONGRATS on your 4 yr anniv! Hope all is fine at your onc visit--let us know. Hope you can post your pic (cause I am thinking it might be of your precious daughter)!

Stormy, what a cute pic! Are those your grandkids? Hope the needle pokes worked for you---I had three treatments, couple of days apart, but didn't help me. Much milder though now that I am home and in cooler temps! Had one while the hygenist was cleaning my teeth today...had just been telling her about it (she is too young to know about them...lol). She was shocked when she noticed even my upper lip perspiring! YUP....500 degrees from waist to top of head!!! I usually just wake up once nowadays, so not too bad at night.

Dee, Oh, I hate to hear that it might be lymphedema. Not fun to wear the compression sleeve, but that should help to keep it under control. Let us know how you are doing! Make sure pants and jocks are VERY careful when giving you their wonderful massages. WHOA...just read that you will end up with 900cc...is that correct? I ended up a large C, and had 550 or 600cc (I don't try to remember that stuff, but it was one of those numbers). I know it all depends on our build, etc, though. Be sure to take it slow on the fills, if that makes it less painful.

Well, having to have "water" or "vegetable juice" at the bar nowadays...maybe can be back on the "real stuff" in a few weeks. Want to give this healthy eating a good try! But our eye candy tattie-tenders make it easier to do this. I can just lay back on this comfy lounger at the Banana Hammock and stare at their bare abs!!! (With an ice cold glass of water!)

Hello fellow lounge lurkers...a lot of you drinking the virgins so I will try to keep a well balanced bar.  Dee...glad your infection is under control.  Hope your LE sleeve helps.  You realize that if you pass out pool side again wearing the sleeve we can ridicule you as having some sort of funky farmer tan.  LOL...Just kidding. I hope it helps!  I am waiting to get fitted for one myself.  Lori, welcome back.  Nice pic.  Cute kids!  I think my hair is about the same as Jimmys and I also act out. Jaybird....congrats on the 4 yr.  I hope you can post the pic too.  Wahine...glad to see you back.  Water should be refreshing for those wonderful hot flashes.  Stormy...glad you had fun on the retreat.  I will bet you had some stories to tell to the ladies.  The t-tenders told me to tell you to "get your cast back here" and here you are....Take care all...HunkyD

Actually the ladies couldn't believe how many times I had been in the emergency room or hospital because or riding mishaps or the cancer. I kind of lost them telling them how proud I was of my mare for standing quietly with  me when the helicopter landed to take me to shock trauma.

Cindy F always has some one liners. She chattered on about Bob Barker interviewing a 93 year old contestant and asking her if she'd ever been bed ridden. According to C. she replied "Oh many times, and once in a buggy."

Holding it down out east here with the white wine and water.

I wish I had hot flashes like some of you ladies. I could use the tingle and the warmth.;...I remember them- I'd be driving down the road in 10 degree weather with sweat on my forehead and the windows fogged up. Now I need to move around, dress smart, and fight to be warm. What a crazy world. My husband is happy because now we can turn the heat in the shack up over 55.

I'll be out by the pool today if anyone's looking for me. I'm thinking a pithcher of Sangria would taste nice and Jock said he has a private recipe. I hope I can get them each slightly hammered, the scrabble games get alot more fun. We play for backrubs. Hopefully I don't do too good, they may dump me in the pool and with this cast thing I'd just sink.

What a beautiful morning; watching the sun come up.

LOL ... Yeah I will be a sight to behold by the pool this summer. I will have on the oh so beautiful compression garments, not only one but TWO arms and hands, and by then my expanders will be so large I can rest my arms and drinks on top of them. I can't get over how much the expanders go around and into my armpits, I feel like a linebacker, or the Hulk. Kathy - 900 cc or more is what the PS is telling me I will end up with, so Stormy if you get thrown in the pool I know I will be bouyant enuf to save you! LOL Thanks averyone for the good wishes and have a great week, we are supposed to have some great weather by the weekend! I will be doing some grilling and sitting on the back deck so come on over :)

    Smiles and hugs to all,

    Dee

    Hi everyone,

I haven't been online for awhile.  Hope everyone is doing great, and I see you've all been drinking for me while I've been MIA.

    I'll catch up soon, don't worry!  :D

Harley, so glad to see you back.  I hope you are well and enjoy bellying up to the bar with you.

Stormy, your mare was probably feeling a bit guilty and helped out the best she could.  I've not been riding with friends for over a year since each of my 5 sx have left me with poor upper body strength.  We used to drink the little juice boxes of wine as we rode, so we wouldn't break any glass.  I see my PS tomorrow for my 2 week post op.  If all is ok, I'll be saddling up Vegas, a gentleman of a 3 yr old colt, soon.  I hope you're back in the saddle soon.

I take back all my gloating about our weather.  It was 103 here yesterday.  Sangria sounds great.

Carol, do you have terrible hot flashes? If so, how do you even step outside for a second. I am so dreading summer, as it does get pretty warm up here, but not like the temps you get! Think I'll just stay here in the pool!

Bouyant Dee, what are we grilling? I am sure it will be good. Maybe we could have Pants & Jocks over too, they can do the serving.

Stormy, I am MORE than willing to share some of my "Private Summers" (hot flashes) with you. In fact, you can have all of them if you like!  As for the acupunture, I don't think its working. In fact, I almost feel like things are worse.

Kathy, that is my picture, not Stormy's, and yes those are my adorable grandbabies.

I am going to today for my colonoscopy consult. S.O. having his tomorrow, so he is not doing so good today, in the bathroom all the time!

    Hugs & Cheers

    Lori,

I haven't started hot flashes yet at 45.  I'm hoping for a cure by the time I get them.  I hear alcohol makes them worse.  Is that trueFrown?  Sorry about the colonoscopy.  Let's see, gin is a clear liquid.

    Hi y'all,

Lori, how about I take half of your flashes. I have to leave something for you to appreciate. I'm really feeling badly for you two and your colonoscopys. Please stop by here for comfort on your way home. Poolside service, a lounge chair with a rug, lots of good company or solitude with an IPod if you want it; I want my girl to feel appreciated and SPOILED!

Carol, you must so be looking forward to Vegas. I saw my ortho surgeon this morning and he gave me a walking boot to put over the cast which he said would probably come off in three weeks. That should work out well because I can get some serious groundwork into my redhead before climbing back on. No way can you do ground work proper with the crutches. Tell me more about Vegas.

HunkyD! Will you give those boys a break. Honestly girl, you've got one heck of an engine.

Oh Pants Honey, How about another pitcher of that awesome Sangria!

Pants and Jocks told me they were working on a way to cut some maintenance costs around the lounge.  They are asking all ladies having hot flashes to jump in the jacuzzi so they don't have to heat it.  Brilliant!!!!  Those boys are.  HunkyD

HunkyD, That is just tooo funny! Yup, put me and Lori in the jacuzzi and leave the water cool...our hot flashes will heat it up to such a high temp no one will be able to stand it!

Lori, I am sorry the acupuncture didn't seem to have worked....mine didn't work either. And we have to replace our 2 heat pumps (a/c units) next week, as ours are just limping along till then. There was no question that they WOULD be replaced before the weather gets too hot...lol. Oh, and I am sorry I got you mixed up with Stormy....those are darling grandbabies!!! Hope the colonoscopy goes well...is this the consult BEFORE the procedure, or after? The worst part is the prep, as your SO realizes about now. I thought the procedure was fine, as I just went to sleep. Hope your results are excellent!

Carol, For me, alcohol would bring on hot flashes...as would stress....hot temps....you name it! Would be fantastic if they could find a cure for them!!! Men think they know all the answers sometimes....my atty the other day said I would definately only have them for a short time. HUH? (Like HE  has the answers???) Some women have them for a year or two, but some have them for several years! Aaarrrggghhh!

Ok Pants, I need a refill on my tomato juice....and would you fluff up my pillow please? It gets so squished on this lounge chair. Yup HunkyD,...I was already told to get out of the jacuzzi as the heat was steaming up our tattietenders sunglasses.

    Cheers everyone,

    Kathy

Dear Pants, Please be sure to keep Kathy's tomato juice CHILLED. I never thought to ask about our swimming pool; is it artificially heated or not? These girls really need to submerge themselves in some coolness. Maybe we should have a movie night and only show flicks about winter and skiing.

My little sister has been flashing all winter. This weekend they are camping out with friends at Pinkham Notch. It may snow at night- she is so happy.

Sounds like it's time to buy everyone a round at lunchtime today to kickoff the weekend. Enjoy, and hugs to all.

Hi girls.......you are all SOOOOO much fun. I just love coming here!

Stormy, thanks for spoiling me, that is so sweet of you. How is it that you are ER+ PR+ and no hot flashes? Glad you got the walking boot, but you should just let Pants and Jocks carry you around. 3 more weeks with cast, wow, seems like it has been so long. I hope your leg is healing well.

Hunky, you are a blast! Thanks for the cool jucuzzi, it feels wonderful!

Carol, drinking doesn't seem to affect my flashes, that I know of! I have so many, hard to tell! (Flashes that is, not drinks. Although I have my share of those too!) Heat and sun def. bring them on.

Kathy, S.O. did have his colonoscopy, mine is the May 15th. Prep does look terrible, not looking forward to that. Hoping to maybe lose a pound or two. I take clonidine for my flashes. It is high blood pressure medication, which I don't have. I take one in the morning and one at nite. The colonoscopy doc said to try taking 2 at nite. I am kind of affraid to. I might try an extra half. My last blood pressure reading, at the consult, was 90 something over 58. I told S.O. I was affraid my heart would just stop!

Have a wonderful weekend girls, I have some cleaning to do and if it isn't too windy we are going to work on our "town". Jocks, could I please have a "Duck Fart" and fix any of the girls up with one that would like to join me. Think I will have mine in the Jacuzzi please.

    Cheers!

    Lori

Hello Ladies....Great weekend!  Glad so many are hanging around the lounge lately.  All this talk about colonoscopy gets me thirsty.  Haven't done that one yet.  It's on my list of things to do though.  Wahine...if you hear of a cure for hot flashes, I want some of that stock.  My poor 401K is a sufferin' !  Lori..my gosh girl your bloodpressure is LOW.  You keep drinking those Duck Farts and enjoy.  I'm gonna have to watch you though so you don't pass out with that kind of bloodpressure!    High to all the rest of you I've missed.....next round is on me!  HunkyD

Hi there...  I have to agree about the hot flashes, and I DO get them MORE during the summer months!!

    goldie,

Sorry about the colonoscopy.  I had mine last year, and it was really a P.I.T.A.!!!   The prep part, that is!!   Lol

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

    Cheers,

Lori, if your blood pressure goes any lower you'll go into shock. If you're going to be under anesthesia soon you'll be setting off all of the alarms. Maybe we should start mixing your drinks with Red Bull.

Hunky D you are so talented with your little walking boot. I've been on crutches for so long that I'm having trouble remembering how to walk on my hind legs. (Run Forrest Run!.)  These underwater exercises sitting around with y'all should help.

Believe me, I had hot flashes. For years. They kept me warm. They'll still act up on occasion if I'm really pissed off- then I look totally scary with the red face and wild hair.  The dogs usually run in the other room.

Duh!  Looked forever at that picture of the swim-up bar before I saw the CAST !!  Great pic !!!

[OT ? for you all re BP----what numbers are considered to be too low?  How low can the lower number be and what can happen if it is too low????]

Enjoying the usual ML...dinner baking...pleasant day...windows open...windy as all get out...sinuses in agony...bad storms lining up for later tonight--hope they don't mess with my Amazing Race!!!!

Gonna take my ML and go watch Lori and Kathy heat up the jacuzzi!   Thank goodness, my hot flashes are not often, but they are always at 4:00 a.m.  But, I've got another problem!!!!  Have the beginnings of one honker of a zit building on my chin!!!    Have not had a zit since chemo stopped all that hormone crap several years ago......GRRRRR !!!

     Have a super weekend!

Hi gals, I agree with Lori....you all are so much fun!

Stormy, Thanks for reminding them to give me really chilled juice! Your night with cold weather movies sounds like just the ticket. I sure can identify w/ your sis enjoying camping in the cool weather (maybe snow?)...very comfy in those temps. Our a/c is on its last legs and can't wait till the new units get put in later in the week.Thank God for the tax incentive on that. Right now it is 84 degrees in the computer room and I have fans all over the place!

Lori, At least you have awhile till the colonoscopy. Does your dr give you the small bottle to drink or the large one (looks like a gallon, but prob not quite that much!)? I can tolerate the small one much better. So glad you are going in for one. Very important! Until a few yrs ago, my b/p was always around 90/60...was normal for me. With gaining weight, and getting older, now it is high. Would love those low numbers again!

    HunkyD..Such a neat pic with Stormy's cast!

Junie, I watch "Amazing Race" too! Aarrgghhh...tonights show "will be continued". Hope you didn't get any of that bad weather. The heat is on here this week....all week long. My parents go back home Wed am....  :(

Hey.....whose doing all that splashing??? OK....here's a big one back to you. Just don't get all that water in the drinks....would dilute them too much! We sure are keeping Pants and Jocks running trying to keep up with all of us---must be how they keep in such great shape!

    Have a great week,

    Kathy

Wow this pool feels great with the 90 degree weather we are having. The apple tree and the lilacs bloomed overnight so I brought over big bouquets for everyone to enjoy.

Happy Monday. I believe that means that we should all have Bloody Mary's for breakfast. Thank you Jock. These boys are quick. Please Jock, Bloody Mary's for everyone except Hunky D who I'm sure is drinking beer.Hey, What kind of beer do you drink for breakffast?

Just lost 3 lbs last week, so need to keep off the "good stuff" for awhile. Hey, the pool is filling up...hi everyone! Good crowd here today...everyone is noticing your flowers! Boy, Pants and Jocks look extra good today too.

    SPLASH!

Whow, how refreshing! Enjoying a refreshing pinot grigio tonight.

Stormy, Vegas is a 3 year old Quarter type who must be sixteen two hands.  He is a gentleman because he stands quietly next to the horse trailer to let me mount.  When I was younger (and didn't have stretched pectoralis muscles), I could swing onto my own beloved fifteen two gelding, City Slicker bare back.  Youth is wasted on the young.

Thanks ladies for all the hot flash info.  It is best to face it head on.  Perhaps a big frothy head of Guiness might help.

    Enjoying your company,

Olh yeah. Remember the good old days before injuries and age when mounting bocks were nice to have but not necessary. Now if Pants isn't there to load me on my horse, or I don't have a 3 foot high step , I may as well stay home. Remember swimming the horses bareback? I'm not sure that's one I should try again. It'd be fun to go to the beach. Enjoy Vegas....and don't forget to drink your Guiness.

Ok, you all have me a bit concerned about my BP. I feel fine, don't feel any different. But I did take an extra half of a pill last nite. Was a waste, didn't do a darn thing. In fact, I was up every hour and sometimes only a half hour in between flashes. I hate those nites!

Anyways, enough of that. Kathy, I get the big container of stuff to drink. It is 2 liters. I am so not looking forward to that! But I will give everyone fare warning before I start!

Stormy/Carol, I don't know anything about horses, but I am confused. You talk about Vegas, is that a horse or are you referring to Las Vegas? We are going to "Las Vegas" next week. Not for pleasure tho, have to do a trade show. We go every year in hopes to maybe find something new for the business or someone with closeouts on something we sell.

Hunky,  agian.......good job on the picture. I like to play with that kind of stuff, but don't have time to do it. I did a pic of the side of my house, transposed my kids into it and an old west town front. Which is what we are working on now.

Jocks, could I just have tomato juice and vodka in my bloody mary, please. Don't care for the spicy stuff. I'll be at the pool bar.

*Jumps into the pool, with a big splash!*

Good morning Lori.  Vegas is a friend's horse that I look forward to riding again.  We have a conference in Las Vegas every year.  I can only handle  that town in short doses, but it's fun for a few days.  Enjoy!

Stormy, I bet you have beautiful countryside for riding.  I grew up in the desert and enjoyed being able to ride off in any direction for a couple of hours.  I hope you're healing well.
