Mornin' ladies,
Oh Lori I don't know what to say, but I know how I feel. This is terrible for u and ur DD. I think it's harder watching ur DD going thru this chit then when we go thru things. A bag of PRAYERS AND LOVE for both of u. Just let us know every step of this, I'm hurting for u Lori, really.
Sandy I thought Gordy's ex took that bed, well she probably doesn't want it now anyway. And no I didn't know about the oil for waffles. U gals must think I never cooked a day in my life, but actually at one point many yrs. ago I was a gourmet cook, basically when I was married, I enjoyed that. but now over the yrs. I don't member anything about it. It was something I got into and enjoyed then just stopped. And like husbands just put it in the back of my head and left it there.
YAY JC it's great news it's good to hear this.
Happy we're with u, just let us know. For any tips just ask these gals they're so good.
Hey Jazzy.
Kim a skunk oh that's the horror of pet things to happen. Good it was a little one but still it's so icky. My vocabulary has blossomed hasn't it.
I'm not making it everyday, I've been so busy with work, everyone has an A/C problem especially after 6pm Bob and I are both going crazy, especially him. Dan is in FL picking up a new truck, yea FL like nothing is good enough around here ....MEN Mr. Genius has no common sense and I tell him too.
My kids left yesterday and I already miss joey, oh yea my kids too. He's texted me a couple of times, but still. Lucky slept with me last nite. That dog whore will sleep with anyone.
LOTS OF LUB.

Awww... Cami, I love your kitty memes!
If Bob gets home tonight early enough for me to grill some Chilean salmon before the storms hit, DOTD will be a Pinot Noir or maybe a similar light red (or even rose—certainly hot enough out for that). Otherwise, it’ll have been the keto-friendly almond milk “Frappuccino” I just made. It was yummy, but now I have brain-freeze, because I didn’t want to leave my Invisalign off for more than 15 min. Hauled out the Vitamix for the first time in at least 3 years!

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Independence Day! It has come off hot and humid here today. Sadie and I are going to spend most of the day hanging out on the deck today. Going to be totally lazy!
Goldie--saying prayers and sending hugs.
Cammy Cat--LOL!The clock sometimes does not move at all! And not just on Wednesdays! Yup, skunked doggo is unhappy doggo. I swear she can't understand why the critter didn't want to accept the honor of her playing with it!!!! Not so much fun, but part of sharing life with a fur baby. Nice of the whore dog to sleep with you, though!
Chi--Brain freeze?? NOOOOOO!!!So painful!

Good morning and TGIF. Yes, I say that because I'm actually at work right now. Ugh. It might help a little if this was an Irish coffee instead of just black.
Only 8 hours to go, then 4 - 6 weeks off. What a range of emotions.
Have a great day and weekend, everyone. I'll be boobless (and hopefully cancer-free!) when I post again.

Mornin'' ladies,
I stopped by yesterday to see what going on with Lori's DD but Lori u didn't say. I've had her on my mind. Yes Lori I'm alone. Stupid me insisted but our good neighbor takes the dog out and feeds her. I know it's a simple job but feeding him is trying for me cuz I have to bend over and he';s cray when he's outside and I can't walk him at all. But when it's time to sleep he's right on my lap all cuddly til we get up. Jodie's shopping for me today and I'll take a shower, my niece calls me 3x a day and the guys <well just 3> check up on me so trying to get a little independence is harder than I thought. I've got my walker back out to lessen any falling that I seem to do<gravity is tougher when u get older> so knock on wood it's OK but I think once in a while I was stupid staying alone. Oh and Joey calls me at nite too. His voice has changed and I keep on saying Joey is that u talking??? LOL
Kim I never thought about the collar for Sadie has to be changed, Hope that skunk disappears they usually don't tho. I'm glad u just rested yesterday but come clean do u make up the drink names or actually find them. The DOTD'S are always perfect for anything that's going on.
I hope more check in to see how everyone's doing. It's been quiet in here, hope everyone's doing well.

Cami, do be careful when alone and make sure if you maneuver around the house, to have your phone with you, just in case. There is no news on my DD, she was supposed to have surgery today for the fibroids, but something was said during her visit with the kidney surgeon. I haven't talked to her, so I don't know what is going on. She is at her dads, and I don't want to be a pest.
Peridot, what can we add to your IV? Vodka, wine, beer, you name it! Good luck and I hope you are prepared at home. What day is surgery again? And check in when you can. I think you will have lots of down time. Will he do to help you at home?

Good morning ladies- happy day after the holiday. What did everyone do and more importantly, eat?
Back from da pool where I swam early today. Next up is a trip to the dentist for my bi-yearly cleaning (yes they are open today), groceries, my bc yoga class I have not been to in age, and hopefully a new Google Pixel by end of the day. My client site is closed and I have some work to finish up to be ready for some things next week, but more play vs. work for four days.
Cami- did I hear you are all by your lonesome right now? Where did everyone go?
NM- oh no about Sadie getting skunked. Poor doggie and poor you.
Peridot- will be in your pocket for the surgery and we hope to hear you are recovering well on the other side.
Goldie- I am so sorry to hear things with your DD are just one thing after another. It sounds like she is back state side though and getting help here for what she needs to do next where her dad is. Your family has had a really tough year here in 2019. Are you feeling better from all your health issues too friend?
Will pop back in again soon and for those who are working today, hope your day is an easy one.

All systems go for the lumpectomy on July 17th. The MO confirmed my bloodwork looks good and I can be off chemo until August 2nd. I am pretty close to ready on the home front. I want to do some yardwork this weekend, then get the house clean next week. After that I may stare at the four walls and just relax! Recovery is supposed to be relatively simple with minimum restrictions on lifting. I hope to schedule the SBRT early in August as I have the consultation appointment with the radiologist on July 19th.
My brother ended up not having any toes amputated. The surgeon decided his wound was healing when he looked at it on the operating table. Unknown to the doctor or myself, my brother had been going to a wound center and getting hyperbaric treatments. Seems like it would have been smarter to tell the doctor so they could monitor your progress. 🤪
Sounds like everyone had a nice Fourth, except Sadie! I ate too much and did enjoy some beers on a hot day. A whole month without chemo! I wish my eyebrows would come back!!! Oh well. Take care everyone and have a great weekend.

Jazzy, my daughter has been in MI since June 1st. She will be having cist on the kidney and fibroids remove in one operation, instead of 2. So only going under once and instead of 8 small incisions, they will be able to do 6, since both surgeons work at the same hospital. It's just getting both to be able to be available at the same time. As for me, I'm still not 100%, but feeling about 90%. Will know more when I get labs on the 12th and see MO on the 15th. Glad to hear you are still enjoying the summer and long weekends. Cami's DD and her DH and Joey are in CO for a family vacation.
JCS, I should be able to remember your surgery, as it's on my DH's b-day! Lumpectomy is what I had, but 11 years ago. Don't remember it being too bad. I did have drains tho.

Goldie- I appreciate the updates since i have not been in here in awhile, although I have tried to read when I can. Let us know when DD is having her surgery so we can be in her pocket.
I was thinking the other day how we said we were going to meet up in Gallup sometime this year. Let's hold that out there for the future friend and know when we get together, the time will be right. You get better and stronger please. Praying for all your family.
Good that Les and the fam got away for a few days with Mr. Joey. Cami is probably hanging out with all her boyfriends. You know how she is......

Jazzy, maybe we can do the fall sometime, or before. My gosh, you would think we were planning a week trip together, as opposed to just a 2 hour drive to meet for lunch!
Cami, sorry you lost your post. You need to have Joey show you how to type in somthing else, such as Word, or Notepad. Or, like I mentioned before, do it in an email and then copy and paste it into the thread. Do you know how to copy and paste?
Thanks Karen. I will update on what is going on with her as soon as something comes up. Right now we are just waiting.
Went to a neighbors of ours, they don't live here, just weekenders. But her parents live up this way and they are farmers. Had lamb cooked in the ground in a pit. OMG, it was soooooo good. Regular salad, potato salad, pinto beans and red chile. Worked some in the garden today, and more today, plus cleaning, which as you all know, is NEVER done!

Hi friends- happy funday Sunday. We finally got a good start to monsoon season yesterday, with deluge that started late afternoon and it was still raining steadily when I drove home from the evening music last night. It is overcast and cool today and so nice to have a break from the heat.
Went to listen to music last night at a brewery I have not been to before and my DOTD was a lemongrass blonde beer. YUM. But I only drank half of the second one, with the idea that there were probably still a lot of DWI check points around with the long holiday weekend. Had a delicious potato pizza with bacon (reminded me of potato skins on a pizza). This four day weekend is almost over and
Goldie- the fall sounds good. I am going to see my eye surgeon in early August and plan to get my cateracts done this fall, so once I have a few things figured out there, we can figure something out. I have to plan everything way out for the most part, but right now, think that is our favor. Can't wait to meet you in person when things are a bit more settled. Continuing to keep your DD and the family close to my heart.
Anything roasted on an open pit is pretty tasty. Glad you had a nice visit.
Cami- I hate when that happens, I hit a key accidentally and then ZAP, gone, finished, history. Are you hanging out with any of your many boyfriends this weekend?
We have some ladies heading in to surgery this week. We will be in your pocket(s).
NM- what is silly Sadie up to this weekend? Did you have Friday off?
ChiSandy- are you still playing your music?
Okay, time to get on the yoga mat and then to the farmers market. I hear the peaches are harvesting now (yum).
Wishing everyone a good week.

Mornin' ladies
Lori that sounds yummy but I don't know what red chili is. My thoughtsare always with u Lori and I know u''ll let us know ASAP.
Hey Karen.
Jazzy good thinking about the beer. I never heard of that kind. Sounds good to me. They r advertising so much beer flavored now in cans and it always looks good to me. Maybe I always liked fruit cu I used to freeze strawberries or grapes and put them in my wine. Jazzy u never mentioned cataracts before. R they in both eyes.
My sister's in the hospital, something to do with her kidneys causing alot of uti's, u know I don't get it, but I hate she's in the hospital. She called me yesterday and we talked as usual and then she says BTW I've been in the hospital since Thursday, I get hysterical of course, that's why she told everyone not to tell me til she knew what was going on, she's such an ass. She's coming home today. Whew
Yes Jazzy my boyfriends are around and so are others. Thank God. Jodie went shopping for me yesterday something she never does. Yes FF does it for her, only cuz he likes to flirt with everyone. He thinks he's Prince Charming, more like Prince of darkness, but he's to stupid to know that. Even my GD came over with her GF and a few others. Watch everyone is coming now and all week no one will be around. This feels so long without Joey. hahaha ok and the other ones too.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday

Good afternoon, Loungettes!Sadie and I had a very nice day yesterday, after the first thing in the morning vet appointment. I forgot to set an alarm and almost didn't get up in time to make the appointment! Sadie is now all caught up on all her shots and boosters. And she's positive for Lyme and anaplasmosis, so I need to get a pee sample to make sure her kidneys are working ok. She is definitely showing her age, though, she did not want to go down the very long and steep stairs from Mom and Dick's place to the beach when I went down for a swim. She was very content to stay with Dick in the screen house and snooze in the shade. It was some hot and muggy yesterday until the thunderstorm with the torrential rain came through.
Morning, Cammy Cat!Love the kitty memes! I go out looking for appropriate drinks, but once in a while I'll make up a name and attach it to a recipe that looks good! Good for you for having some, even if limited and closely monitored, independence!I'm glad you are using the walker, gravity becomes more and more of a biotch as time goes by and we have got to put things in her way!
Happy--looking forward to your first boobless post!
Goldie--still praying for you andyour DD. So scary and so stressful!
Jazzy--I didn't do or eat anything special for the 4th. Dick ended up in the ER and then staying overnight in the hospital after having a spell, probably a TIA, but he didn't take his wallet with him to the breakfast, the event happened there, and he didn't have his pacemaker info with him so they kept him overnight until the cardiologist office opened to get the info and check the pacemaker.A few years ago the man wouldn't dream of setting 1 foot off his property without his wallet. Now he doesn't care and doesn't see the problem with not having his pacemaker info with him.None of the tests showed anything, so now he's not sure anything happened at all. Dementia is a cruel disease in the way it changes people's personalities.
Librarian--Hooray for having the lumpectomy date set!So your brother was going to a wound center and getting hyperbaric treatment, and his other doctor didn't know anything about it?Talk about crazy! That's exactly the kind of thing the Electronic Medical Record thing is supposed to prevent. And you get a whole month without chemo???YEAH!!!! Sadie did celebrate the 4th in a bit of an unusual way, to say the least!
Goldie--getting 2 doctors' schedules to line up is a lot like herding cats! Takes a lot of work and patience.
Cammy--OH NO!The post eating gremlin is back!
Afternoon, Karen!
Goldie--that lamb dinner sound DELISH!!!!
Jazzy--gotta love torrential rains.Got almost a quarter of an inch of rain in less than an hour yesterday when that storm front moved through. Lemongrass blonde beer? Hmm, I'm not a beer person but I would try that one!I didn't have Friday off, I didn't think of asking for Fri off back when I could have done that. Not a big deal, though. It was a pretty laid back day at the nursing home.Everyone was moving slower with the heat and humidity.
Cammy--Your sister is quite the minx, not telling you about being in the hospital until she's ready to go home! Sounds like she's feeling ok now, though. Sounds like you are getting lots of company.
Hmm, I may have to go out to the store and get some Banana Liquor and pineapple juice and make me a Yellow Belly!

NM- so sorry to hear about Dick being in the hospital. Dementia is a cruel disease, both my parents had it but differently. One had early onset Alsheimers and the other from a frontal lobe stroke. My mother never remembered when she went to the hospital. She also did not remember some very bad things that happened with my father's and brothers health before their passings. That may have been the only gift in an of it. I am glad you could be there for the family my friend.
Cami- I got diagnosed with them last November during my routine eye visit. Saw a surgeon in February and she said we could do them whenever I was ready. I am now ready, I see a more pronounced change this summer with my vision. Both eyes, but leftie is worse. I have my next eye apt in a month to see the surgeon again and going to get some dates on the calendar. They said it can take up to 3 months to get an apt so thinking Oct for leftie and Nov for righties (they do them a month apart) but will do sooner if possible. I have to get through my bc check ups next on 7/19 (mammo, MRI and BS office visit, but all in one day this time, whew).
My only take away from the farmers market today was the last bushel of peaches. That was my goal. Growing season here is running late this year.

I lost a post yesterday too and didn’t go back to address everyone but you know I hope you’re all doing well.
My DOTD on the fourth was 6 (yes, 6) Zeigenbock Amber Ales. I went on a 3 hour tube ride/float with friends on the Frio River (my first float), it was really fun but after getting stuck twice in shallow rocks and the struggle that followed to get my big butt free and down river, I earned my drinks. My tube didn’t make it and I finished fairly exhausted but I am a strong swimmer and a determined person, so quitting wasn’t an option. Resting my sunburnt legs and rock battered elbows this weekend.

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Monday Monkey day!Back to work today, then in late tomorrow due to teaching a CPR class in the evening. Nothing like a variable schedule to keep life interesting! Sadie and I had a lovely lazy day yesterday. I think she might be a bit achey from the vaccination boosters, she's not quite so active as usual, but she's eating and looking for tummy tickles and barking at the squirrels like usual.
Jazzy--good have all the appointments on the same day. Much easier that way. It's getting harder for Mom to deal with Dick as his personality changes, but I can also see where her nagging isn't helping. I keep educating her about dementia but I'm not sure how this is going to play out. Mom has talked to Dick's kids about her needing some time (preferably a day a week) away from him so she can get her stuff done. This promises to be an interesting journey. I used to go to farmer's markets all the time in the summer, now I can't find them!I know they are out there, but they seem to have moved to very obscure places. Ah, well, life does change ove rtime.
Illie--Oh, no, the post stealing gremlin picked on you, too! Seem's we got rid of him for a bit. Wow, what a trip! You certainly earned your Ales! Both for the hydration and the pain easing properties!

NM- are there any adult daycares around where you live for your mom to have a break? My dad became very clingy with our mom as his illness progressed and it was hard for her to get out to get groceries, get to the bank, get her hair done, etc. She found an adult day care to have him go once a week for a break. Maybe suggest that to the adult children too and have them help coordinate it?
Hope Miss Sadie is feeling better after her shots. I think you sound happy in this job friend, you go girl!
