Oh NM, the coffee is very good this morning, thank you. I was surprised to wake up and find it brewed, smells so good. If only I had some of those choco chip cookies that Kymn talked about, life would be perfect. GREAT tip on the frozen pipes. I also missed that Beans had frozen pipes. Well I thought she was talken about her personal pipes. Love ya Beans. Love all you girls.
Nice to see Junie pop in, I passed her on my way to the hammock last night. You are looking hot mamma! So nice to see you pop in late at night, come on back, I am ready to partay some more. Cheers, girls, off to have myself a few Frozen Pipes, then a few percocets....yummmm!

I'm here! Just not much time to post lately, as I said, things are starting to pick up with business and yesterday was town and dentist. So, by missing a couple days, it is almost impossible to catch up, not even going to try, besides I would just be repeating what someone else said! If I am not posting, I am at LEAST trying to read. You all are my addiction!

Hi girlz! Good tip NM...will *try* to remember that....but will prob be *brain-dead* if faced with frz pipes. That really is scary....we do try to run a faucet when temps are that low, but sometimes we are traveling and that is always a worry. LOL....good DOTD (as always!)....hoping that is the only frozen pipe that Beans will have. Yummmm.....agree with Dorothy....that fresh coffee is soooo good...to the last drop!

Hi Dorothy, aren't these "frozen pipes" delicious! Gotta get my fill of them so I have some energy to get back to painting. So far, it is looking real good. Might wanna crash in your girl cave for a bit till I have things finnished here! We could partay the night away!! WooHoo!!!!

Kathy, you and the others girls are welcomed to my cave at any time. I used to call it my office but DH calls it the woman cave.
You cracked me up when you took those page out of Junie's notebook and put them in the fire pit. Gosh, I never thought about how much dirt is out there on all of us.
HD, come back, I think you need to tell us what is happening so we can hold your hand and get you through things. From the look on your face, you are hurting.
I think I am going to head to the hammock with one of my furbabies, snuggle up and have a little nap. I just love Saturdays more than ever. I made it through four weeks of work and no day time naps.
I am happy to say that I decided to ditch my bra when sleeping last night and my debrided tit is much less red today. I just popped a Valium and will be passing out. No shenanigans (Chrissy). When I wake up, I hope to see all of you ladies getting ready for the big partay tonight. DH will be out so it will just me me and my breast friends. Don't let me down, girls. TITZ up.
PS, Kathy, can you come and paint some rooms in my home? I have been here for ten years now and still have mostly white walls, so boring (yawn).....

Yay Dorothy that the wound is healing and you could ditch the bra....YAY! Well.....I don't like painting THAT much to paint your walls too..lol! But I am loving this color. Most of my walls are "european white" which is darker than off-white, and does show the white crown mold, etc. I like that, because I have a LOT of paintings on my walls. BUT I had painted the LR a couple of yrs ago, a golden-honey-caramel color which did show off the paintings, and really made the crown mold and white trim POP. My LR and DR are on either side of a tall open foyer, and both rooms are very open, without doorways. So I finally decided to paint the DR the same color, and ohhhhh it is really looking great. Looks good with the honeyed-gunstock floor color too. I NEVER would have done the DR if I hadn't had to pack up everything cause of the floor damage....toooooo much stuff to move and pack. But since I had to do it, this is a perfect time to paint. I also have area rugs in ea room that are sorta tropical/floral feeling. Next I need to attempt to reupholster the LR sofa....
Sorry to have bored everyone and gone so OT....but this is taking up so much of my time, and is really my life right now till I get everything back in place. AND I had to let Dorothy know that I wouldn't be showing up to paint her rooms....LOL. Now, if Dorothy really invites us to partay in her woman cave, then if we drink enuf likker, well who knows, she might talk all of us into painting for her!!!
DH's uncle passed away a couple of nights ago, and still waiting on arrangements as some have to come in from other states. I know our house won't be ready yet to invite them over though.

Good Morning, any coffee left I need some this morning. it is so windy here today, 110km winds at least its warmer -46c yesterday now today its -6 big difference but it reaks havic on my head with such a change. I am painting to day too kathy, trying to get my basement finished. I have been here 5 years now and still havent finished it,usually its money but some laziness involved too lol so after a nice pot of coffee I am off to paint.

Kathy - you are right up there with Claire and energy! Please share some with the rest of us. The painting sounds lovely - I'm so impressed. When I first got married, we had to pain the whole house. My ex. is wonderful at painting and all contractor work - really miss that part!!!. Anyway, so he "assigns" me to painting the back - back mind you - of a closet door! Do you think he might have known something? Anyway, I did and he came to look and resanded it and and explained how to make it look nice. Well after the fifth try we agreed painting was not my thing. So I got to take of 25 year of stuck on wall paper in the dining room instead. I kept thinking the entire week that took me how I really needed to learn how to paint walls! I'm just too impatient apparently.
Finally have the fish pond cleaned out and the fountain is working - fish are happy and that blasted Blue Heron can now see the happy fish!!! Arg! He won't even scare easy - I can get almost right to him and he slowly turns his head looks at me and then ever so slowly strolls over and takes off in flight to the top of the screen porch roof to wait. Grrrrrrr
Went to the computer store and they fixed my lap top!!!!! YAY!!! It was even free - better yet!
Gorgeous weather here - so sorry Beanie about the pipes - love NM's suggestion - just hope I can remember it when the time comes. It is going to be 66 this afternoon and almost 75 tomorrow then rains on Monday. But for today bright gorgeous sunshine - it does make you feel ever so much better!

I should be cleaning but would so rather have beautiful "undie" pants come serve me somthing lovely like afore mentioned drink and so snooze in the sun. Makes me miss my beloved Liesl as she would have been having such fun out at the pool chasing Dewey the pool cleaner

Stanzie, Soooo funny about painting not being your forte....BUT I think you were smart, as you didn't have to do it! My DH is the same....I would cringe if he ever tried to paint anything, so lucky him....I have to do all the painting. Glad you got your fishpond cleaned out and fountain working. But why don't you like the Blue Heron? Does it damage stuff? I love the one at my parents...he sits on the edge of the lake and every so often dips his beak in and comes up with a fish. OH....DUH...now I get why you don't want the Blue Heron at your fishpond!!! Eeeks that would be horrid for him to eat the fish you have there.Didn't think of that till I was typing. I can imagine how much you miss Liesl. And that was always so cute hearing how she would chase "Dewey"! Speaking of that, we saw a horrid movie the other night.."Paranormal Activity 2"....and their pool cleaner would get OUT of the pool at night....yikes!!
Kymn, good idea, to paint inside while it is brrrrrr so cold outside there! Nice and sunny here, wish I could share that with you. What color are you painting the basement? Sounds like a BIG job though! It was hard moving the china cab, etc., even with carpet under the feet and DH helping (bet I could do it eaaier on my own though...lol). Just have the wall w/ the bay window left to do, so that part will go easy.
Yup, JB.....I am sure you got your Kahula and Coffee quickly! Our TT's are really on the job, and at our beck and call. Hey, maybe they might want to help Kymn and I paint???? Nah.....they are too busy taking care of us all at the HTL.

Beans...hope you got your pipes unthawed. I hate that. We have to leave ours dripping at one sink that has pipe close to outside wall. That just sucks Beans. Lori, you asked about my mouth...it is from physical therapy. I think they are trying to kill me. I will try to put on a happy face soon! LOL!

....well, it sure as shit ain't ME in HD's hammock........ok--fess up!!! Thanks, HD--that was a good 'un!!! Made me laugh. I also laughed at Wahine sneaking around and violating my notebook--lol ripping out the pages and burning them in our fire pit!!!! Ypu younger posters are probably wondering how Wahine got paper out of my netbook------but, nope, I still rely on good old-fashioned notebooks with lined paper--have them all over the house!!!!! (and, hidden at the HTL !!!!!)
Today started off great and hit the pits when we picked up the mail. Got THE bill for THE month in THE hospital--just under $100,000..........omgomgomg..........bill had a small statement in a box that says--"you owe $17.00"..DH did the happy dance.....I did not! Did not make any sense! Corresponding BC/BS statement also showed owing $17.00 BUT had a two page attachment with all the other line items showing a different code; and the code is asking for more explanation from us.......so, DH will be making phone calls come bright and early Monday. I was pretty upset at 1st--like why couldn't we get this crap on a day we could call and get it figured out instead of having to wait two friggin' days.........but, god bless dog beers and how easy it is to slip into a DILLIGAF mode......oh, and a couple of those little pink pills help, too!
sooooooo, back to my hammock; no notebook--Wahine burned my pencil, too.......but, she didn't find my camera--------so, I will be watching for the boobieinthehammock!!!
Our weather could turn a tad nasty tonight/tomorrow--Wahine, hope it doesn't blow your way and sure hope it doesn't blow us away--I'm ready for just a little bit of more sunshine and warm weather! Happy hugggsssss to ALL......later, lushes!!!!!......or is that lushettes???????

Hi Dorothy! Officially Happy Hour now at my house (finally!).....so Seagrams/Diet Coke it is Snuck that half glass of wine earlier...shhhhhh. Hey I am glad you made me the "forewoman"...that way I can give orders and NOT do any work...yoohoo!!!! What do you mean a "shack" painting party...do we need to paint your woman cave??? LOL.
My DH loves our furbabies...he was so against my looking for another furbaby when we lost our Max (short for MaxWorthAMillion), which was my dog, along with Shroeder (dalmation) that I had b4 we married. He was devasted when they died. But I knew he would love new furbabies...and he did. Except we only wanted ONE, but found Maverick and his sister Molly and just had to get them both. So a month after losing Max, we had 2 new furbabies to love. Today he was working outside (yay!) and laid down on the grass cause the dogs just come over and love on him. Well, today when he laid down, they came over, sniffed his hand, he wasn't moving (playing dead), and they just ran off. SO funny! So I can't join in on the bashing of DH's over their treatment of furbabies. BUT I could bash on other stuff......

Missed you all last night - I was lurking though. Lost my post last night and was too dwunk to try again... man, one little margarita and I'm ripped these days. Oh well at least I can get drunk cheap.

Had to excuse myself and leave the room cuz DH is on the phone doing that thing that really bugs me... he says, "ooooh noooo! Ohhhh my God! Ohhhhh... that's awful!..." whenever he talks to his mom. The DDs and I are freaking out the whole time cuz my MIL has a condition that makes her fall down all the time... he won't even make eye contact with me until he gets off the phone and then he'll say something like ‘one of her friends got sick and had to cancel a party... that she had planned for months and months... isn't that awful?'

Got in from my ski and a trip to the West Seattle veggie place, so first stop was the bath. Finally having some wine to loosen up my sore glutes, quads, and shoulders.
Just took a read of the thread. Breathtaking as that bill is Junie, it does not surprise me.
I have done my share of painting and am OK doing it. Nice not to have to though.
Am so lucky that I was not trained enough to do the Hog Loppet. I was thinking of everyone on the 7:30 AM chair lift while I was in my warm bed. I have done the three lifts prior to dawn, and they are "brisk" on a good day. Today, it was somewhere around -5F and windy. And will be very nasty driving for those returning tomorrow. Perhaps 2' in the Cascades.

I had an interesting BOTTOMZ UP experience today. The toilet where I usually stop was frozen up today, so got on the (quite bracing) lift. Later on, there was a place where the groomers had gone a bit off the course so I knew this was the place. One of the ski patrol came by as I was getting situated, and I had to explain why I really didn't need his help
I wanted to go further in, but stopped where I sank in up to my knees. Then I put my butt in the direction of the snowflakes and made yellow snow. Quite the sensation of large snowflakes on warm skin!!!!
Otherwise, skiing was just wonderful so did my usual 12 miles. Feel ever so different now.
Will do the same thing tomorrow, but am expecting two sports for the price of one. The second is extreme winter driving. Was a bit snowy getting back and a few accidents, but nothing that difficult to negotiate.
I am NOT doing the Chilly Hilly. Interesting how chemo didn't keep me away last year when it was warm and sunny, but ice will. And the skiing is beyond glorious.

Claire, I am glad you had an invigorating ski trip. I beg to differ over you not going to the chilly hilly (when you made yellow snow). Naughty girl. Tell me, did you have a flask of something good to keep you warm? Glad you got home safely.

I see that we have bouncers here tonight, I wonder why there are standing in front of our HT Chapel? I didn't do it --whatever it was.
I just got back from going with my ex to pick up our DD from college. I took the drive with him. DD needed to come home but invited us to come in and check out her new crib (dorm). She really wowed me with the job she did making it so beautiful and inviting. She has such talent, we were impressed. She got many of the items from Ikea and a few things from Target and it looks a pro decorator designed everything. And she did not break our bank account this round. Her dorm is bigger than her last one and it is a single. She moved because her prior room mate was a beotach, did not care for school work, smoked out the window and just wanted to party with friends at the dorm. My DD is a good student and left the room often and went to the library. There were times when she would call and cry about her room mate. I am so happy for her as the new room is so cozy. We had a pleasant time hanging out with our one and only "baby". She served me a cup of tea too, just how I like it. I love having her home and love waking up and having coffee with her in the morning. I can't explain how good it feels. My ex is about to leave, is chatting with DH . Sorry about the ramble but I am having an emotional happy heart moment.
NOW, it is time to meet Ricco, I think I will lip sync though as I do not think you girls wanna hear me sing. I can tune a piano by ear and am very aware that my voice is out of tune. I may try to get Ricco to take a break and join me back at the pool. Anyone want to come and babysit Ricco and make sure he can keep his hands to himself...oops, I mean I keep my hands from squeezing his cute uhhhh....I think I should shut up now before Bruno the Bouncer bounces me out da door.
