Oh NM, Your pics and comments are FANTABULOUS! LOL. Your watermelon pics remind me of last year when we froze watermelon and then would blend it w/ some likker...can't remember if we used vodka or rum, but it was ono (yummy, in Hawaiian). And frozen watermelon blended to drink, even without likker (shhhhh!) is ono too! And omg that "taco" bus is soooo funny!

YAY on your winnings junie! Goes to show how random it is! Maybe you should keep picking numbers that way? PULEEZ rub my hand and share some of your luck.....I will need it when we get to the casino tomorrow. So glad you are getting out some!!!!

YAY also to Chrissy.....sooooooooo super glad there is no progression! I was worried about you, but have so many pages to catch up on, that I didn't get to mention it yet. WooHoo! OKAY, here we say "dancing with NED (no evidence of disease)", but I am pondering over the meaning of "hanging with Reggie"? Did I miss something (as usual)? I love your posts, and so glad you have a 'puter to use again!!!

DH just woke up, and keeps coming in to say something, so REALLY breaks my train of thought (which only takes up the caboose anyway!). I hate to be rude, but I am writing to my GIRLZ ......sheeze! Had to get up early so I can babysit my g'kids....gonna take some flooring pcs to show them how THEIR flooring is put together, with the tongue & groove..prob somethig they never thought of. And I got them a "tornado" simulator from Discovery....don't want to scare them, but think it might be interesting to see how it forms, etc. They're 6 & 10, and so delightful.

Oh Dorothy, The bestest of luck when you see your PS! Hope it finally is healing well. You have been thru a lot with that boob! Good idea that NM had about seeing a Wound Clinic......gotta get you all healed up! Let us know what the dr says! And that is awesome on getting to be at the Price Is Right! We'll be hoping and praying you get picked! Yeah, I thought that was a cute botox comment to HD also....just soooo much to laff at and digest, that I only end up commenting on the most recent things I read! At least I might be caught up on TODAY's posts....hope to catch up later, maybe when I am in the room and DH still is down there gambling, over the weekend.

Just wanted to say hello to all you best breast friends here! Lotta catching up to do, but gonna get on the road in a bit. When we get to the casino tomorrow, we are invited to a cocktail party, so that should be awesome! Happy Thirst_Dey to all! Will join you all a bit later......

    So, later gater,

    Kathy

LOL HD, I hadn't noticed about the drink matching your face, but it sure does and so does NM's bullfighter!!!

Stanzie, you are not monopolizing. Sorry to hear the news about your BIL, but 60% is pretty good odds with treatment. Much better than being given 6 mo without any options. Praying for your family and wishing him the best. I'm sorry.

    Astorm, I'm feeling your excitement!

Kathy, glad you are excited about your surgery. Is there a chance of fat returning to the area?

Great post Beans, you pretty much got it all on everyone. And you are entitled to be a little piss ant....so you just go right ahead. But don't be that way for too long, k? LOL @ your piss ant. And they just better not ban you, we would have to go after someone if they did.

NM, love the "Surgeries for Dummies" That has to be how it looked when I went in!

DorK, Decline, you crack me up. How fun to be on TPIR........and the winner is???? Will they tell you the "air" date? Good luck today at the PS. We don't want any more shitty titties! I like NM's suggestion of the wound care specialist. I had one of those for when I was doing rads. I burned pretty good!

Wooo hooooo Junie on the win! Sounds like you and DH had some great fun. Good for you. I sure hope you don't plan on doing all that entertaining you usually do in the summer.

Chrissy, that is such awesome news and def. worth LOTS of drinks. Is Reggie related to Ned?

NM what gawgous watermelon you carved! How awesome is that. Some people are just so talented and creative...........Me/NOT. DORK...........don't eat that pretty one!

Karen hope your day today is better girl.

Dang it takes so long to catch up with everyone. I just don't have time to check in during the day. We me is starting to sneeze, I'm so thrilled to know I have about 6 weeks of it. I hope it won't be too bad. I have had some years not so bad and others where I just wanted to cut my head off!

Hey Beans, I found a drink for you   Piss Ant Shooter!

1/3 oz. Vodka (Preferably 80 proof)
    2/3 oz. Mountain Dew
    3 drop(s) Grenadine

Mix in a shot glass and slam it

    Hi All,

Thanks for all the sweet thoughts and support. Haven't heard yet what they will do. My brother who I have only met a few times ( half-brother actually) knows a Dr. in oncology at John Hopkins and will hopefully get them a second opinion.

Dorothy - Wow, Congrats on The Price!!! So what is more expensive a wig, a month's supply of anti-nausea pills or nipple tatoos? Now if those are the questions you are sure to be the big winner! Good luck with the PS. I go to mine in about an hour and a half. Actually nervous only cause I want to complain and he always makes me feel bad about complaining as it is amazing what they can do but still..... Hope you get peace of mind from all the leaks.

Chrissy - oh Whew! So glad it isn't the beast! Now on to find a quck and easy fix for what it is.

Funny square watermelons - actually would be nice so they wouldn't run away down the hill - especially when spiked!

Claire - love all the name info.... so fun. Makes sense about the irish names what with County Clare- no clue how that is spelled. So Tinker is a great name so much better than two people I know one whose last name is Tinkler! and another whose name is Winklejohn. Really I'm not making it up. Both are the married names - I so would have kept my name!!!

OK off to get ready for PS!

It is pretty early here but DH woke me up at 5:30 to say he is leaving so now I'm awake. Maybe that was a strategy so I'll be tired... a good wife is a tired wife... I'm sure I heard that somewhere. Anyway there are 2 cats and a dog on my bed already. Picked up the Wii last night but had to work late so I haven't had time to set it up yet. DH and I are always having these crazy ideas for an invention that will make us super rich. Here's my idea of the day: Dancin with the Dog for Wii. Someone is going to invent that and then everyone will know I'm a genius....

Junie  - $155 is a lotta tacos! Woohoo! you could even get some tequila. Don't woory too much about catching up... most of us don't remember what we did yesterday anyway.

.. that goes for you too Kathy

NM - You've outdone yourself! What are those square ones about? I remember going to a concert with a loaded watermelon one time in my teens. The kids who brought it really thought no one knew what was in it. LOL.  We were so innocent back then, I really DIDN'T know. Everyone around us was high on cocaine and even security must have had a contact high (or maybe a real high for the pot smoke)... but here we were with our likker up watermelon - sssshhhh!

Stanzie - so sorry about your BIL and for the family. It will be a tough time for you all but you know you are always in our prayers.

Dorthy - hope your appointment goes well.

Kymn - just know we are here for you no matte what you decide. My FIL was dx with lymphoma just before my dx. He didn't want to bother with chemo since he is 74 and they said 10 years without treatment but we knew they wouldn't be great years... what made sense to him was to just try one session and if it was as bad as he imagined he could stop. He only needed 4 sessions and the only bad one was #3 and at that point he wanted to finish.

Kathy - I'm gonna go check out that video...

OMG! That video is hilarious! She has a special dress and everything. That dog learned a 3 minute dance routine! I can't learn a 3 minute dance routine. I'm the crazy person doing her own thing in the back of the room in aerobics class, praying that the instructor won't do a reverse so that I'm in the front.

Neither of my dogs can stand on their hinds very well. Dog party is Friday but we will have a corgi, WD, yorkie, two chihuhuas and a bichon-poodle so probably no polished dance routines... well maybe there is hope for the bichon-poodle.

Oops ran into your post! Gotta run though.....

    Good morning everyone.....

Chrissy - the BEST NEWS.  So glad all is well.  Sometimes we just hurt.

Junie - last thing I won was a picnic raffle where I wasn't going.  Got into big trouble over that one.

NM - unfortunately, I suspect the "Surgery for Dummies" happens more often than most of us think.

I am getting my hair trimmed today.  Waaaaaaaay time for it.  Plus a couple of other errands done.  I think the wind may have blown itself out.

No cooking tonight as made enough dinner for 2 nights!!!  Will be even better reheated.

I am thinking of doing a trip to Le Panier for some good French pastry and coffee.  Yes, the real deal and a short walk from haircut place.

I scored a big one with birthday present for my former business partner.  Super sexy and just unique blouse from resale shop.  Was originally almost $600.  I got it for $50 on sale and it fits her perfectly.

Looking forward to a fun weekend of skiing with cycling club party Saturday evening.  My muscles will be healed in time to get really sore again. - Claire

NM - ROFLMAO! Tears of hilarity streaming down my sweepy gwoggy lil face as I wead your post this pissant mowning.

Junie - Now having to re-read top-to-bottom about DorK's reading bottom-to-top and it does appear that "The Price is Right" is on her agenda. That's awesome. So is your big win, whoopee!! $155 - sweet!

That reminds me, did anyone else see Happy Gilmore with Adam Sandler, where he and Bob get in a fist fight and Adam (as Happy) says, "The price is wrong, bitch!" Well, I thot it wuz funny.

    happy

Dorthy - yes, pissants are on the menu today. I'm serving up Chocolate Covered Pissants and I have a good recipe.

CHOCOLATE COVERED PISSANTS   (adapted from the cooks.com version)

    ants

    Ingredients:

    1) 1,742 large pissants (if they are small pissants use 2,044)

    2) 3 cups melted Belgian chocolate

    Directions:

Catch pissants at a German university town where students are studying Kant the pissant and drinking lots of beer. Keep the pissants in a whiskey glass to which you have added a teaspoon of sugar and a cup of rum to keep them happy. (Unhappy pissants cause crappy moods.) At home, pick up each pissant with tweezers and remove entrails with a small, very sharp knife. (You might want to read "Surgery for Dummies" first.) Removing entrails will take about 400 hours. If you are in a hurry, eliminate this step; you'll never know the difference. Dip each pissant into melted chocolate and place to drain on waxed paper. If any of them are still able to crawl off the paper, let them go as those are unhappy pissants who don't like Belgian chocolate. And if they won't go get a wooden spoon and slap them in the fanny! Guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

    insects

Claire - Wow, I didn't realize Claire is a "Pat" name! Like my name, Jean, can go either male or fem, like Gene, or in French, Jean (did you catch the accent????)...or in Beanland...simply Bean. Anyway, Claire is a beautiful name and not a bit boring like Gene or Bean. I really enjoyed the story behind Tinker too, and the excessive cursing!

Kymn - Sorry you're facing up to a round-o-chemo, but you will do fine. When it was splained to me dat da little rat bastard tumor cud be thot of as a dandelion and the little rat bastard cells could go poof, anywhere, not just through lymph, it just seemed to make sense to go on the side of caution, since I was otherwise healthy. I am also so extremely grateful to the ladies here who helped pull me through it and made me LMAO in the face of it. I never cried or drank as much in my life as the days leading up to chemo. I'll tell you too that the meds they have these days really make it a lot easier too. I never had nausea or vomiting through the whole thing. And Claire is so right, look past it to a great future.

Karen - Hope you'll enjoy some chocolate covered pissants to help get out of a crappy mood. If not, well, I'm certainly into whining so invite you to do the same!

Chrissy - What great news!!! So happy to hear no progression - that is fantastic!!! Now hope you will have a beautiful spiked watermelon to celebrate!

Wahine - that watermelon drink does sound so yummy, I think I remember (amazing) when you made that last year, it stuck in my head and I sure wish I could make something like that...so funny about your DH breaking train (caboose) of thot...mine does that a lot too. Hope you have a fun time with your g'kids and that sounds like a great idea to teach them about tornados. Oh my! Love the youtube vid - so funny!!

Goldie - Love the Piss Ant Shooter and it will go fab with the Choco ones!! Yippee!! Sorry to hear you have the achoos starting. Some years it hits me and others not, sure hope it's not a bad year for you, but I'm jealous that your weather might be permitting! Still a lot of snow here. But the sun came out yesterday so I wasn't a wet pissant for long.

Stanzie - I will be wishing the best for you and your family. I was realizing that part of my pissant problem this week has been because of an email from a distant relative of mine who's had BC. She had DCIS ten years ago and did rads...then recently found IDC so had to have chemo and just 20 min before her doc apt she was laid off from her job. She was telling me her cousin just passed away from cancer too. This and issues with my sister and the whole BC thing just makes me crazy sometimes. The world doesn't stop for it, how cruel to be laid off right when starting chemo! So we have to keep going and fitting in with all these emotions and appointments, and some days not feeling too great. I do think no one understands until they've been here. This is one reason I am so grateful to you and all the ladies here who share what's going on. It makes me feel a little less crazy since most of my fam are all healthy and haven't faced this. My relative who emailed me I have never met, but we instantly bonded through emails because of the understanding and compassion - shoulders to cry on are so needed!!! We found each other last year when one of our other relatives passed away from old age - he was 92 but also had prostate cancer. Ug. On a positive note, my adopted nephew who had cancer as a toddler and who had a bone marrow transpant back then just turned 21 years old!!!

AStorm - that is so funny you two trying to find ways to get rich. We do that too, only not with invention ideas, but with business ideas. We make each other laugh with silly business ideas...very fun. One of my latest ones was trying to figure out a way to sell rocks we have on our 40 ac...I love the doggy dancing idea - that is perfect!

HD - I hate to say it but, yes, your face is the color of that drink. Hope you'll be back soon for some spiked watermelon, chocolate covered pissants and pissant shooters!!!

Looking forward to the PARTAY at happy hour, have a tearg yad! ~Bean (in French)

Yeah, my DH has business ideas too... his most recent is a standup paddleboard rental shop. I played along at first even though this sounds like a scheme for him to hang out at the beach while I work... thought he should learn how to use one so he could give lessonsw. He went out on his friend's board and came home exhausted (it takes a lot for him) and his feet looked like raw meat. Then a few days later we noticed someone else opened a shop in the village.

Well I'm off to the City again... just signed on for a new engagement with the same client... this one is 6 days (over the next few weeks). I'll be back for a big dwink later as I am temporarily single!!!

    Hi back to everyone!

Laughing hysterically at the chocolate covered pissants!!!!

Beans.....know the "Jean" story too.  Scottish for "Jane" by way of the Loire Valley chateaux.  The French version is "Jeanne" which I suspect got shortened to "Jean".

Looking back at the recipe, don't you drink the alcohol you soaked the pissants in????  I always do if I am soaking raisins after loading them in the cake/bread and butter pudding/stollen.

AStorm....good call on the paddleboard shop.  Reality is often a lot different than the dream.

In terms of perspective, I just reworked the resume of my former business partner.  Really, really interesting how something both of us did a few years ago (a not fun experience with me in the middle) is now a footnote, and in its proper place, which is as a concept ahead of its time.  Three years ago, it  looked like a failed attempt.  It wasn't.  It was an idea that worked for a time until there were alternatives from other providers of similar services.

Amazing how things look so different after a bit of time passes.  Will drink to that one too.

More immediately, the objective for the day is to de-shag. - Claire

    Hi Chickies,

I am popping in to hit the percotini fountain and grab a few fukitols. Anyone wanna join me? Today, not so good but could have been worse. I went to my PS, he took one look at the sutures and said "damn, it is opened up". He then told me we could try one more time or just schedule to take the implant out. I opted to try again, even with only a 50% chance of success.  He then re-excised the wound and stitched it up again. I did weep a bit but did not break down like last time.  I was very suspicious that something was wrong.  I asked him why this keeps happening and he said that it looks like my body is trying to reject the implant.  So unfair. I went through this with the TE on my left side, BC side and that implant is just fine. I have no idea why this happens to me but certainly not the end of the world. Worst case, I have the implant out for three months and try again. I did go back to work after my appointment but left an hour early. I started hurting once the lidocaine wore off. I came home, popped a perc then crashed out for a few hours.  I can feel that it is almost time for another pill or a pill and a shot.

I will try to respond a bit later.  And OMG, the pissant stuff is too darn funny. I was already laughing but then read Bean's recipe and was cracking up. I especially loved her talk about the pissants that try to get away and those that will not move.  Thanks for the great humor, I needed that.  Cheers!!!

Beans, you are crazy-funny girlfriend! Love, love, love your pissant post! Toooo funny. Hope you start feeling better too. How long will you be in the mountains! It is HOT here today....took the g'kids to the park for a picnic, instead of doing the tornado lesson. Such fun, and there were 10+robins right near us. The white blooming bradford pears are amazingly beautiful right now....just covered in white blooms, and so many daffodils, etc. Feels like spring here!

WooHoo Gail, you are HOME ALONE!!!! Well, till all your friends arrive...is that tomorrow night?

We leave bright and early in the morn. Tonight I am still polishing and washing stuff that goes back in the display cabinets. SOME day it will be back to normal....LOL. But gotta take a break for HAPPY HOUR!!! A bit late, but I'm here regardless. Junie, got a fresh iced bucket of dog beers here....HD...Dee....Chrissy.....NM....and everyone else.....partay time!!!!

Oh Dorothy - I am so sorry. Wonder if there is any anti-rejection drug you could take - oh wait maybe you would have to take if forever so that wouldn't work. Well, aren't some implants made of different materials?

Went to my PS today and everything is fine he said he could do revision - like you Kathy he said it was probably fat under my arms and I also have a dent and he could fill that in with the fat - just like you. Interesting he said it would also cover the ridge which I hadn't even noticed but once he pointed it out I could see the ridge of the implant. He said the dent comes from the implant being a circle where real breast tissue fills up kind of at 9-10:00 on a clock but the little circle implants only fill in the middle - so it made sense. I asked him what the risks were and he said really none. He said he could do it with a local but he said I'd probably getting pretty grossed out with all the tugging and fat harvesting is what he called it. Wasn't sure that insurance would pay for it but he thought so. Mine is that wearing a bra is very uncomfortable and then it pushes up the skin and fat so I have pillows under my arms and wearing summer clothes will just look dreadful not to mention a bathing suit! Anyway - sorry Dorothy probably very inconsiderate talking about this which is so so minor with everything you are dealing with. But I'm sure they will figure this out and get your implants to work and look beautiful.

Oh and Loved the dancing doggie - how on earth was he trained to do that? I mean some of that he/she would almost have had to count???? And such a big smile on his/her face!!!! Thanks!

The grandson and his mom came to see my house this afternoon. His grandfather built this house  and his mom and dad lived in the garage apt for 12 years and it is where the grandson was born. Anyway it was so much fun hearing all their stories one was his Mom used to shoot squirrels and apparently for the longest time there was a big hole in the soffit under the roof where she shot  a squirrel! She is this tiny lady with the same name as me and was just a hoot. Her son called her a spitfire and I'd agree with that one. They shared such fun and wonderful stories!

Shoot I just lost a long, long post! Dang! Stanzie, I thought that was so neat that you let them visit the house that was part of their family history. Very gracious of you, plus you learned more of your home's history too. I would LOVE to go into my childhood home (that my parents had built b4 I was born), but too chicken to knock on the door, and it prob has changed hands several times since we sold it in 1963. How weird is that, that you will now have the same surgery as me! My PS said since he will cut it out and do 2 long incisions on ea side, it will be covered. But if I had wanted it removed with lipo, it wouldn't be covered Go figure! What date will yours be? I was so glad mine was moved up from the end of June. But I had to cancel jury duty AGAIN. Mine will be in the hosp, outpatient, just about a 1.5 hr surgery.

NM, You are HOME ALONE>......woohooo! When do your friends arrive...is it tomorrow night? Time to partay hearty!!!! YAY! I am sending you a drink right now!

Beans, your pissant post was soooooo hilarious! Hope you get out of the dumps....join us at the fukitol fountain!

Where is everyone???? I need a refill..... Pants.....oh, thank you, that was fast!!! Who is going to watch the Am Idol results tonight? Starting right now here....

Oh ((kymn))! That is St. Patrick's so may the luck of the irish be with you on that day!!!!Hope you sleep well tonight knowing you are making sure the cancer will not come back to bother you again!

Actually didn't set a date Kathy. He said to see how it was with summer clothes and all but he said just to come back in May or June and they will set the appointment. He  it would be lipo but they call it fat harvest and it should be covered. I didn't even ask about scars!!!! Hmm?  Sounded like it would be an incision under each arm and then injected in with a small needle. He said it would take about an hour and no recovery other than not working out with weights at the gym for 10 days- 2 weeks. As to my disappoinment with the nipple he advised no. He said in reality he didn't think he could make it better - he said very seriously that he has seen thousands of women's breasts and he said in about a year once the under scars had faded a bit more he said I could go topless and no one would no I had had a mastectomy! He said he thought there were really good and for my age thought they looked natural. SO SO weird talking to this man/doctor about this!!!! He is also my age! Very weird - luckily has all his family pictures around so he isn't creepy or anything. But in thinking back - what strange conversations BC brings up!

Stanzie, isn't it interesting how our drs always come up with different surgeries and solutions! I think you are lucky if he does lipo and it is covered...then just little scars. Mine will be LONG scars, but my dr will not submit a lipo charge to the ins. Shucks! Well, I could say something stronger.... but I am glad you will have that. However, I wonder why he wants you to wait...it doesn't really go away on its own!

    Great posts today.

Kymn, I really feel your you. I do not recall who said it, but do look to the future, post chemo and be proud of yourself for going forward. I have my arms around you now and will never let go unless you say so. Hang tough and if you can't, there is always fukitol.

Stanzie, don't be silly in apologiizing for talking about your boobs getting fixed. I am happy for you and know I will get there. (I was given a great motivational speech today but someone dear to my heart). I needed it and am actually hanging tough. My war wound is sore but I can just pray that it heals. And if not, I will face that when the time comes. Loved your story about showing your home to the original owners.

Wahine, I have knocked on the door of my childhood home and was welcomed in with open arms. I toured the entire house. It was super cool.  Glad to see you pop in for a few, you are sure biddy (buzy).  I totally loved the youtube video. I watched twice! I want that dog!!

Claire, what kind of adventure are you on tonight? I am wishing again for more energy. I got a pedometer last week and am ready to hit the 100,000 struts, six days. I have to work on that but for now, it hurts to even swing my arms. The best therapy for me is byclcling. My primary care doc told me that is less stressful on the hip with bursitis. My bike has been in the elements, I kicked it out of my cave. Priorities, you know....lol But really.

Pants, bring me some chocolate covered pissants soaked in our fav likker and also bring a few pissants and some of Lori's  pissant shooters too. Tell the wenches in the kitchen we are sorry about the defiant little pissants that creep away and hide on you. They are spys, they work for Junie.Their little pissant antennas are custom fit with lil mictrochips that snap pics.

Junie, so glad you are doing so well. I hope it is not hard for you. Dog beerz coming your way.

Lori, I hope that allergy season is easy on ya. Sorry, Pants get her a kleenex. ~thinking~~I abuse Pants, don't I, where are my manners??~~~ done thinking.

Let's all have a toast to Pants, Jocks, The wenches who have to deal with the damn pissants everywhere and to all of the staff at HtL. Let's make it a staff appreciation night and send them rounds. No one will know. Here's to our loyal servants. Most lounges would not go through the trouble of the Bean's recipe. OMG, I still laugh at that. ThAT is a reread for me.

Chrissy, dahling, Ias always, I wish you a good good night (most likely will be dark when ya read this). I pray that your ribs feel better. Damn that beast, damn HIM! I miss the days that we played games at midnight your time and my time. Gosh, we were little then. Where have the months gone? Time just wooshes away.

Oops, gotta go, DH just got here. Will try to pop in cuz I think I ain't done.  Cheers girls. Wishing you all peaceful dreams and peaceful days!!

Karen, here is to a thirsty thirs-dey, bottoms up, cheers to you. I hope you pop in and sit down a bit.

No adventures today other than getting my hair trimmed.  And then going down to Pike Place Market to pick up some mushroom seasoning for steaks.  While at the mushroom seasoning place, I saw they had a duck sandwich on brioche.  I was in!!!

About the yummiest sandwich I have ever eaten, as also had Asian slaw and an aioli sauce (fancy mayo).  It was written up in Seattle Magazine, and I get why.  Then I saw that they were selling local flowers....daffodils and tulips.  Spring really is on its way.

More help for my former business partner.  She is having a tough time of it, and glad I can help here.  And some of the other work I need to get moving on.

So sorry Dorothy about the sore hip.  I suspect though, that even walking will help.  Lack of exercise is a vicious cycle.  You lose muscle tone so everything hurts more, yet you need to exercise to rebuild.

Fortunately, you didn't eat all that much of last night's din-din, so I am about to reheat.  No cooking.  YAY!!!  Double yay that skiing this weekend.

Loving my hair trim......and the two pairs of earrings I got at the place for a total of $7.  Wearing the sparkly ones as I type this. Really highlight the Deco pin I had made into a pendant. - Claire

Thanks for the reminder about the fokitol fountain....I really need it....don't want to go into details, but a lot on my mind (not bc though)....social-emotional stresses....

Dorothy...so sorry you keep having so many problems with the implant...hope the 3 times is the charm

    Chrissy...yeah no additional progressions

Kymm....a date for starting chemo is good....I struggled with nauseau and took advantage of all the pre-meds and anti-nauseau meds...the most helpful for me was kytril and BDR (benadryl, dexadron and raglan) suppositories.....I ate whatever appealed to me.....potaotes, chicken, strawberrie smoothies, strawberries, apples, watermelon....those are the foods that stand out...and I still eat them today.....

Sweet dreams and see everyone tomorrow....TGIF

Claire - I had one of those aha moments today... I'm working on a project with several layers of consultants which is something I don't do often. Anyway, I was sitting in a meeting with the client and two of the other layers listening to the consultant who hired me try to close a sale with the client and it occurred to me that I hated Sales. Even though I was pretty good at it, I am more of a sage than a warrior. When the developer of the software that I support told me they were taking my sales territory in house I was really upset about it but in hindsight, it was the best thing for me and probably for them as well.

Dorthy - gosh that sucks! You just stay in the fountain and let the Tenders take care of you.

First night as a single parent...  DD2 starts driving lessons tomorrow so gave her a mini-lesson in the school parking lot... as we were doing the herky-jerky braking drill I looked up and had a flashback to the day I brought her to this same school for her first day of kindergarten - the driving lesson was much easier!

Just poured a small glass of pinot and I'm heading for the Jacuzzi!

    Happy FRIED-DEY, girls!!

I am popping into the lounge looking for breakfast. I do see that Pants has the buffet set up, does that boy ever sleep?

Speaking of, I slept quite well last night. Shitty-titty is very tender but it did not keep me awake. There are times when I think about this journey and can't help but going back to "this time last year". TGIF holds so true today, if it was Monday, I don't think I would cope so well.

Astorm, nice to see you. I hope you enjoy your weekend as a single woman. And good luck with DD and driving. I think you can compare notes with Stanzie. I believe her DD is also learning to drive. Stressful times but good things to come. It gets so much easier when the kids can drive themselves. We had to get DD a car once she got her license. She had a hard time and failed and did not retake the road test until nearly a year later. Parallel parking was the enemy.

Claire, sorry I did not eat much but glad you were able to eat the leftovers. I guess I stuffed myself with likker.

Girls, come and join me, I am stepping into the lounge for a bloody mary. Cheers!!!

AStorm - Awww! I was thinking my son will be up for his learners liscence next fall and was trying to think where on earh one can take young drivers? Parking lots where I first started are always full of cars these day! It is just too crowded with people!

Kathy - I guess he wants to make sure I want to do this??? Not really sure as I have talked about it ever since it was done. As for the lipo ...... perhaps he that is why he said he HOPES insurance will cover it- but at the same time he did think it would. He said he had to call it fat harvesting which is perhaps is what he uses for a word instead of lipo?? Quite confusing. I think because he knows I still need to figure out what to do about my nose and as that will be surgery with healing I think he didn't want to pressure me. Apparently since it is out patient it won't be difficult to schedule I think cause it is a short surgery and he can schedule it in between other big surgeries. My nose I'm dreading and worried about. He said it will be difficult to find someone willing to do such complicated revisions. Also then trying to get insurance to pay even though it was from a break which was covered.... sigh so difficult. More later off to take son to the bus. The other two are on Winter break and will go see a movie - I think they want "I Am Four" - not overly thrilled....

Morning girls! Dorothy, I am joining you for a Bloody Mary (can't abbreviate that one...lol), and partaking in our fantabulous buffet! Tonight will be eating at the casino...think it is crab legs & fillet night. Leaving in a bit. Not sure if I can really play ketchup unless I add mustard....might get messy, but I'll try, later!

Stanzie, We used to take our girls to school parking lots on the weekend....wonder if you are still allowed to do that? Lots of room for practicing parking, etc. One thing to consider re your "revision" recon surgery....you might want to ask your dr how much downtime you will have. I am thinking of summer and mowing, weeding, planting, etc. My PS said 2 wks for minor things, but of course would take longer to do actual hard work. And of course, to decide if you want to persue your nose revision, or your boob revison first. Wish you could travel here as my PS is sooo good, as far as your nose surgery. BUT surely where you live there are some awesome drs. Maybe I can ask if my dr's office can recommend someone there? There are 3 PS' in the office and they are ALL so good...I love looking at their b4 and after shots. I'll pm you their website.

Yummm.....DH just brought me a bowl of fresh strawberries....well gotta hurry and get on the road. HAPPY FRIED-DEY to all you BREAST FRIENDS here!!!!!!Kiss

Beans, where on earth did you find that pissant recipe? Or did you make it up?

I will join you this morning Dort. But I will have just have a vodka and tomato juice. Bloody Mary's are too spicey for me. So sorry to hear about the shitty titty, but girl you have such a great attitude about it. Kudos to you! We should try and think up of some kind catchy phrase for you to put on a T-Shirt to wear to The Bob Show! Loved your story about the pissants too, I could just see everyone scrambling in the kitchen.

Astorm, have a fun weekend! With your friends and doggy play date. And with driving lessons. The really scary part is when you finally let them go on their own!

Kathy, I watched some of Idol but missed Wed night. We have other things recording. We have to tv's we record on and when they are recording, you can't watch live tv, you have to watch a previously saved/recorded show. I think I have like 3 things I like on Wed. Survivor is a must. I like Idol, Biggest Loser and Am. Next Top Model, and a few on Food Network. You are sure losing alot of posts lately. Don't you have Word? You could also type your response in an email, then copy from there. Sometimes I forget to do mine in word, but then copy it from here and paste it in Word, just in case it doesn't go through! (it just happened, glad I saved it and bumped into you)

I think Beans is home (in the mountains) is that right Beans?

Claire you are looking absolutey fabulous with your new do, earrings and pendant!

Stanzie have fun at the movies, Karen I hope you have a better day today. You know you can lean on any of our shoulders. And Kymn, yes we will be right here for you during your treatments, but you have to come by. Beans was here all through hers. And you can probably join a team of girls that will be going through treatment the same time as you, if you haven't already found them. Time to get your Big Girl Panties out. I would say you could borrow someones, but thought that would be gross!

Town Day, might have to look at some air purifiers. I have a feeling this is going to be a bad allergy season. Last few years were bearable. Yesterday, I bet I sneezed at least 300 times! So we have the Cedar and Junipers full of pollen and it is our windy season!

Ok I must go, I want to get my list together for what I will need to make my pissants. Might give that a try this weekend.

Lori, Funny comment on reusing Big Girl Panties! BTW I love that pic of your and your DD....you both look awesome!!!! Sorry to hear about the allergies....hope you find a good purifier. I used to have several from Sharper Image, then they were exposed as not being worth a $hit. I think others have a better reputation, but I got rid of those, and they were $$$. I love my dyson vacs w/out bags, but saw on tv that if you have allergies it is best to use one with a bag & filter...to get more of the allergens. Also, when you come in from outside, try to wash your face, even your eyelashes, to get rid of pollen, etc that might not even be visible. OOPS....I need to be getting dressed to get on the road and not stay on the 'puter! OH, I think I lose so many posts as I type quickly, and have been using the teeny netbook, and end up hitting a wrong key somewhere. Too small of a screen to use a split screen, so not sure what I will do about that. Enjoy your day!!!
