how about drinking?

Lori - LOL... funny about your son's vocab... DD1 couldn't pronounce "y" so she said "lellow" instead of "yellow"... one day she was playing in her little pool and she came running into the house screaming "dim lellow totes is ona bite chme!" Had her repeat it several times but couldn't figure out what "yellow totes" were so I asked her to show me... she meant "yellow JACKETS" (totes = coats = jackets). Butterflies were fluff-wise.
... time to collect my kids and make sure they are ready for the Monday portended earlier... Have a great evening and happy Monday to all!

just a quick pop in and try to keep it short since been losing so many of my posts here. Love the "what my kid's said...." My daughter still gets teased about Tirefucks--think she was in kindergarten before she could finally say firetruck!!! And although my son jabbered and babbled constantly, I despaired to ever hear him say a word----one day, I listened to him and that little butthead was speaking in whole, total, complete sentences, using adult words--BUT talking so fast you couldn't understand him. Totally blew my mind!!!
anyways.....the less severe earthquakes are about an hour east of us; the bit stronger ones are about 4 hours to the south.......but, seems like we're hearing a report of one every day now. We've not felt anything--yet.....just a little unsettling to think about......
Jaybird--good to hear from you but sorry for the news! Please do let us know how things go--give that little (big now!) girl a hug from auntie junie!!!!
OK--starting to get into the St Paddy bit (Mar 17th).......
...For every wound, a balm...For every sorrow, cheer...For every storm, a calm...For every thirst, a beer!!!
DOG BEERS ALL AROUND!!!!!! hugggsssss to everyone!!!! Hope it was a good week end for all.......

WHEW...tried to read pages of posts and now my head is spinning! Got home safely tonight....long ride....had a marvelous Sunday Brunch with champagne, and did a bit more gambling b4 leaving. DH knew I was down about being down, so he gave me the money I had lost, since he was way ahead. Well, then he started losing! Funny. We didn't win any of the 7 drawings (we were deciding if we would choose the car or the truck...LOL, and who would drive it home!), but had fun, had tons of food (and did the coconut shrmp and huge boiled shrimp both nites at the cocktail parties!), and all we wanted to drink.
Missed all you girlz though....all my new sisters...I like that. I have a toxic sister too, and Gail I just love how you put it... "There are so many people in the world I just don't see the point in having a relationship with someone who is going to hurt me or cause unnecessary stress for me and my family." You said it just perfectly! Too bad so many of us are in that situation.
Jaybird, it was wonderful hearing form you! But, sad to hear about your mx....sounds like you are doing recon too? Be sure to let us know ahead of time, so we can all be there! I do remember when they would turn the Chicago River green....I lived less than an hr away when my kids were born. Didn't know they still did that, and I guess they still have the huge St. Pat parade also.
Stanzie, Corned Beef is very yummy, and does NOT taste like sauerkraut! LOL.. Really, it has a nice taste and so tender from cooking in liquid. I love it. Love the recollections with your mom, that is just priceless! And Sean is so funny....a pencil in the box....lol! There was so much else I was going to comment on from your posts, but after reading so many posts now I forgot.
NM, thanks for the yummy buffet and all the funnies and DOTD's!!! I hope you mom had a nice belated celebration with you! Wow....75 seems so young since my mom is 90!
Beans, Me hates it that you are in the middle of that mess! You are so sweet, that I hope you don't let it get to you. Family probs really ucksay.
Gawd, I had so many girls to comment to, and after reading pages, I can't recall it all. Sorry. Oh yeah, Dorothy, I am praying your boob will heal this time and STAY healed!!!! You are so sweet to remember everyone in your prayers! Kymn, I would call the dr also, about the leaking. Junie, I hope you don't have a whole lotta shainking going on! Keep those earthquakes away from you!!! Scary. I see my fam dr tomorrow and will also get the results of my blood work from last week....not expecting it to be good this time. I have been a baaaaad girl!
Well, really, really, tired..so nite nite all. Pleasant dweams!

Jaybird - so sorry about the upcoming surgery! But yes you do have to do whatever you have to for your child. I think that is one of the big turning points for a lot of us with children! Hope you like all the doctors - as having a good relationship and trust with them certainly is important. Let us know how it all goes! We are all with you!
Love all the funny kid sayings - the yellow jackets and cloth washes are so adorable!!! I remember daughter went through an entire year where she refused to call me anything like Mom or Mama - nope she called me Precious or Bless You..... we have no clue where either came from and after about a year she quit. But those are hard to explain in public. She says she remembers doing it and just laughs now..... Ok got to go to sleep waay too much work on study sheets on the Spanish Inquisition and Reformation and Thermal energy.....Whew!

I'm going to try to pop in with a DOTD before my power goes out again and for good this morning. Everything is covered with ice this am. Treacherous driving, I've already decided I'm not going to work this am.
I've done this 3 times already:
DOTD: Hard Icey Nipple
2 oz Peppermint Schnapps
3 oz Jagermeister
5 oz Chocolate MilkHey, what did you THINK I was going to put here? ? ? ? ?

still portending it is not Monday so uhh, Happy Sunday girls!
NM, be safe out there today, glad you are not risking the icy drive, stay home and drink beer all day!!
Astorm, love yellow totes and fluff wise, so cute thinking back to when they were little.
Stanzie, my daughter also came up with names for me and for awhile there she called me Tommy, rhymes with mommy. I would answer to that name for quite some time lol. So cute.
Kathy, welcome back, I hope you get to sleep in.
Well, seems I have to work on this lovely windy sunday so off I go. Cheers!!! dRInk up now sisters!!!
xoxo

HaHa - NM!!! Hope you don't really lose power - never fun especially when KKKold!
Kathy - Glad you are back!!
Brrrrrcats as a friend of mine says - it is KKKold here today too..... I portend it is warm and sunny! Happy Monday All!

Love hearing about our childrens jibber jabber. My mom sent my younger brother to the store one day when he was little, we lived right behind a little strip of stores. She sent him for some elbow macaroni. He came home empty handed saying they didn't have any. My says, they must have, did ask anyone. He said yes, I asked "do you have any shoulder noodles, and they said no!"
Kathy, welcome home. Junie, I can't believe I haven't seen anything about the quakes there on the news, strange. My daughter was a late talker as well, and once she started you couldn't stop her and she would talk in complete sentences. NM, what a drink! Having a hard time trying to figure out what that would taste like! Peppermint, Licorice and Chocolate? Oh well, glad you are staying home and don't have to drive in all that ice. I do hope you get to keep your power tho. We need to batten down the hatches here. Windy day for us too Dort, 30-40 mph winds with gusts from 45-55 mph. Let the pollen fly!
Happy Day All

Dorothy, Cute idea for you "working galz"...I will go along with Sunday...then I could wait another day to face my dr....ohhhhh noooo I am sure they know the correct day....darn! Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. Hope your day goes well!
NM, Sooooo very glad you can stay home today....too dangerous to try to drive on ice. Stay warm and cozy up with Sadie and give her a hug from me! So nice to count on you for a DOTD!!! You're a doll.
Lori, Don't get blown away, girlfriend! Eeeeks seems like you need to stay away from that flying pollen too! We have a noisy air purifier in our BR....only use it for its noise....keep it on all night and helps us both to sleep (he says I snore too...I don't believe him....LOL).
Some things my oldest DD said when young...she would play with her "weebles" and have them on the end of the table and say their tv ad jingle..."Weebles wobble but they don"t fall down...." then she would topple them off the coffee table and add... "oh yes they dooooo!". And when she was really little, we were visiting my parents and I didn't always want her in the high chair on the CARPET, so wanted to have it in the kitchen one night, so I told her we would "alternate". She quickly said "No, I'll turn eight, and you turn nine". My kids both had high IQ's, and I'm not bragging, but just mentioning it because it made it VERY difficult to raise them as they were always a few steps ahead of me! (I think some of you here are going thru the same things with your kids, as they sound quite smart). My DH and I always call them if we have a difficult question...they are our encyclopedias....LOL.
Fond memories of my friend and I being in Waikiki every St. Pats day and going to the places that had green beer....and would take our own food coloring if they didn't! They do a sorta big St. Pat's day parade here which was started by a lady from Ireland that owned an Irish pub here....but she passed last year and they will continue it in her honor. My DD's friend plays in a celtic band too, so thats kinda neat. Yes Kymn, we will definately have a St. Patrick's Day partay here.....I think there may be little leprechauns running around too (thanks to Stanzie....that was so neat what you did for the kids!). The TT's might only be wearing green hats...and that is all..
Hope today goes well for you lovely ladies....and Beanie Weanie I sure hope you are feeling better today!

So far I've had several power "bumps," enough to give up on resetting clocks until things get better. Listening to the scanner, lots of roads in my area closed due to trees and wires down, flooding--or "ponding" as they call it now. The trees are still bent over, some of the birches are almost doubled over. At least there isn't a lot of wind, so things are much better than they could be. Still in the mid 30's so no melting, and the rain/drizzle continues to freeze on the trees, power and phone lines, etc. If this afternoon's meeting goes on as scheduled I'm going to phone in and play from home. Love technology (when it works)!

just popping in for a minute from work on this lovely sunday, gawd, I was nearly blown away out there.
Kathy, love the "alternate" vs "all turn eight", I get such a kick of of these "wittle" statements made by our little ones.
For me, at times it was hard to correct my DD as some of the things she came up with were too cute. Here is a another I thought of, the payplen was her playpen....the way the little ones put these things together is too funny.
I have never tried shoulder macoroni before, hmmm. cute stuff! okay, back to worky (on a sunday), can't wait until Tuesday!!

Set up my Wii Fit last night and it tells me that my fitness age is 3 years older than my real age and I need to lose 12 pounds. Kind of knew that but it's different when your new lover tells you and then saves your stats. They have pet stats too and guess what one of my cats is obese. Knew that too.
... and he's eating the remote.
0 -
AStorm!!! Too cute! So at least your Mii didn't get bigger if it is only 12 pounds - don't know the cut off limit but at some point the Miis get bigger.... well I guess it is to inspire but personally I think it is terribly rude.
Dorothy and Kathy - OK I'm soooo slow I didn't get All turn nate! Very funny!!!!! I love all the kids stuff and I think I'll have to call it shoulder maccaroni ! Very funny!
Yikes NM - sounds bad..... hate it when the trees double over. Just hope you keep heat! Or I guess Sadie will just have to sit on you till the power comes back on!

my beau beau scarves came at work today, broke down damnit wish that didnt happen. Anyhow guess I will try them on when I get home from work and see how they look on me. Hope your all haveing a better day than me
0 -
So far so good, power wise. Heat isn't a big problem right now, it's still above freezing so the house will stay livable, if chilly, even without power for many hours. The big problem with no power is no hot water--I really do not like cold showers!
Kymm-I'm sorry about your break down. These things sneak up on us from time to time. Best thing to do is let it out and be kind to yourself after. It's part of our "new normal" (a concept which I DETEST).
0 -
Kymn - sorry about the break down at work...I totally understand! You are doing exactly the right thing and I say let it out when it comes up. You are so pretty nothing can change that and your scarves will be beautiful on you.
NM - You and Sadie take care!

Mental PissAunt Here...reading on the diagonal now...
Dorthy - That is so cool you toured your childhood home. I've driven past mine and it's now painted green and white vertical stripes - looks weird...thanks for posting the fukitols, that came in vewy handy this weekend...I din't realize it handled family problems too, thank goodness, here's to fukitol!!! Yes, I'm still mumbling and grumbling about pissants...but the fukitols really helped! Will have to think on what T-shirt to wear the the game show. Oh LOL at the hippa for the birds pic! Yes, yes, yes, I love NM's rants too! The fam crap will have to go away as I just can't take it any more. I'm dun with the crap! Thank you for the prayers, that really helps. I say prayers for all you sweet chickadees every day too! I have been thinking of you and now I'm not calling it shitty titty it's now pritty titty and I'm thinking positivo that it will heal up and not hurt! LOL at the anti-toxin people disposers, great idea! BTW the pissants are quite happy and have found their way into a brandy snifter filled with corvoissier and sugar at the poyfect temp. So sorry the auntie B's gave you trouble and Aunt flo - yuck! Let's go have a JD and anything and look for pissants to squish!
wahine - I think I'll be in the mountains most of the summer now but may take a trip to a boat show in April, still a bit on the fence about that. I may also go to the coast now and then. Sounds like your spring is blooming gorgeous there. We were starting to see signs of spring, then just got another inch of snow last night. But day temps have been in the 50's so it is melting fast too. For now, plenty of time for snowshoes! Bradford pears are so beautiful! That's interesting you and Stanzie both are having similar surgeries. Will have two bus trips coming up, sure hope AStorm is getting that bus ready! Oh, goodness, you started a round of BM's on Friday and I missed out. Really nice thoughts on the dx anniv, as a joyful date because it was found. That is so true. My SIL kept telling me that and how good it was removed. I believe our immune systems can fight off some little bad cells floating around, but sometimes the rat bastard takes hold and overcomes the immunes ability to fight it off. How frustrating to get a dingbat next to you at BJ. Hey, I read it can take a year to get chemo out, that makes sense, I guess that's why I'm continuing to drink water like crazy. Now reading you got home, sounds like you had a lot of fun, and great food even if you din't win...that's how it usually is for me.
Stanzie - Glad to hear everything is a go for your revision. I enjoyed reading about the spit fire who shot squirrels at your house. I've often thought of going to my childhood home. What a nice story. I was sorry to read of problems with previous nose surgery. If it were me and I wasn't happy with that doc I sure wouldn't go back for more. Thanks for telling about your sister...I'm the youngest in our fam so I always have the little sister complex that I can't do anything right and that I'm dumb.
Kymn - I read your first chemo date is St. Patty's Day? Funny, my first lumpECkomy was last St. Patty's day and I got the rat bastard dx on March 29. You will do fine. I will pass along the Hunkydory words of wisdom. See, I was getting all these prescriptions of meds with long multisyllabic names and getting all funcused (I am blond too) and then HD just says to label them Puke 1, Puke 2, Puke 3, as 3 of them were anti-puke pills. I LMAO and started each day with a bottle of bacon vodka, salmonellos, and Puke 1. I hope this advice will offer you the same comic relief it did for me. Like Dotty says, my arms are around you too and don't forget the fukitols!!! And like Goldie says, if fatigue hits, don't worry but just rest...I had a few days where I did a bit too much and wow, was hit with it, but a little rest and I bounced back! On the bloody discharge, I didn't have that but I got a lot of fluid I believe it was a seroma and where the cut was on the lower line of my nipple, it drained a lot, thought it would never stop but it did. I would recommend talking with your doc about it for sure. I did when mine kept draining and they set my mind a ease numerous times.
Claire - Happy to read you had a nice haircut day and you're happy with the outcome, you look gorgeous with the new earrings and the deco pin!! I have been to Pike Place Market and it's so fun, I'm jealous you can just pop in there so easily. Glad you had another great ski day! We eat a lot of beets but I never noticed them turning my pee red, but I do notice asparagus makes it smell funny - tee hee! I can't wait for wine either. Plus I made a small apple cobbler last night and it turned out pretty freekin good for having no recipe, so wine and cobbler, sounds good!
Karen - is your stress family related? You sound like you're in the same kind of pit I'm in lately. Wanna take some fukitol with me and forgetitall?
AStorm - Read your post about hating sales...Sales is tough and if your more of a sage than a warrior I think you will be happier not doing sales. Hope the teen driving is going well, love your stories. I've heard of the Wii but haven't played, can't believe a fitness age of 80 for you, you look so young! Beautiful chemo tiara for Kymn!! And I'm so glad your bones are dense. I was told to take calicium when I stared chemo and I've been taking it ever since, but I haven't had a bone density test. LOL at reading Auditing and Attestation "with not much interest!!" Cute pics of dogs and cats with books! Thanks for the excellent fam advice...I am fed up with bullies and I need to focus on my health. The end button is PERFECT...this all brings home why I left CA and moved two states away nearly 6 years ago! I've just been clinging due to what a effed up year I had last year but I'm clinging to my Mom and Dad who are both gone and my sibs and their kids can't bring them back. Oh what a cute story about lellow totes!
Goldie - Yes, I'm home in the mountains at present. I wish I could claim full credit for the pissant recipe, but I found your basic chocolate covered ant recipe on cooks.com and I embellished with our HTL stories and Claire is right, it should have included slugging down the whiskey after the ants were done soaking...he he he! LOL at borrowing Big Girl Panties, yes, gross!! Thanks for posting the autocorrect link, funny stuff! And thanks for the fam sympathies...I've been letting it eat me alive and I have to stop it! My BFF told me to focus on daffodils and my dear, sweet husband who it so good to me. Pleeeze be my sister!!
NM - love the term "pillows" for that under arm stuff, my SIL calls it "flaps" as when the grow so large they fold over! I relate to edginess this time of year as I was dx on Mar 29 after my Mar 17 lumpICKtomEE. So when am I officially a one year survivor? From the time I found the lump? From the first surgery date? From the date the doctor told me it was rat bastard? From the end of chemo & rads? I'm so happy it's been 4 years for you! That's fantastic! BTW I love your rants, so pleeezee rant any time!! Loved the Learner's Permit DOTD and toons, so funny! I'm so glad Pants got some robo-help, it's not quite the same personal touch, but if it keeps the dog beers flowing, I'm in! Great DOTD The Boss, perfect to remind us who's in charge! Excellent Sunday buffet...so glad we're gearing up for a big St pattys day party, so fun! And happy birthday to your Mom! Another great DOTD Hard Icey Nipple! That's perfect for here, still so snowy. Glad you stayed home and hope the power don't go out agin. Love the mouse-modern tech cartoon...you are alwayz so clever.
Kymn - the chemo I was on made stuff taste weird - sometimes more than others. I just ate whatever appealed to me. DH got upset a few times when all I could stand for dinner was raisin bran, but heck, it worked, and now everything is normal again. What a great idea to put green in your St Patty chemo!!! Oh yeah, what Claire said, I had serious protein cravings...Claire, I did the same thing I had (and still have) a gallon drinking water bottle that went (goes) everywhere with me. I drank at least a gallon a day and took granola bars and nuts with me everywhere. Such good advice for Kymn! I would write down my ??'s for my doc too as I got nervous in the appointments. Great idea to have the St Patty's Day party where you are, I'll be there with buckets of green dog beer!
Chrissy - good to hear from you and so glad your doing so much but wish it was more fun than cleaning.
Junie - wow, so many earthquakes, that's a bit scary... best wishes at your pulm apt. I am here to hold your hand for sure. It's very hard to ketchup here if you've been out for about 10 min and so I think we should never have to worry about it. Just show up when you can and let us know wassup, it's always good to hear from yas! Good idea to have a St Patty Day partay! Tirefucks - LOL!
HD - Sorry it's Monday but I hope you have a good one anyway. Yes we have to gear up for a wild 17th partay! (I think I menshund that's the 1 yr anniv of my first lump-eck-tommy where they found rat bastard.) I'm really hoping that if I go to all the trouble of drinking green beer that it will indeed produce green pee.
Jaybird - sorry to hear about upcoming surgery but I'm glad you're doing what you need to stay around...happy almost spring to you too and just pop in when you can. It's too hard to read everything even though if you have the time it's awfully delightful!
Thanks my HTL Hottie Friends for all your support about fam crap. I just have to hit the end button and move on. I have talked to God about it a lot and I'm not a bad person and I didn't do anything that I should be punished, bullied or vibed for...my intentions have been good ones so I say F fam BS for good. I so appreciate your support and friendship and cartoons and pics and super funny giggles...Gawd is it happy hour yet??? Who's buying and do you think there are enough Hard Icey Nipples to go aroudn?

Drinks on me tonight - mammogram (digital this time) all clear! Avery was GREAT, suffered thru 3 hours of hanging out with me at the medical center without fussing! Breast surgeon says no need for mastectomy if I don't want one, monitoring with yearly MRI and mammogram and having ovaries out is what she recommends. So I am on the fence again, may have it done or may not. Onc and plastic surgeon say "lop them off!" (lol - my words) I say, "pay my bills and watch my daughter while I am off for 6 weeks!" In a holding pattern until I figure this out but will continue to drink, that I do know for sure! Cheers!

Hurray Jaybird!!! Your fence sounds a lot like mine...but I wasn't BRCA + just fam history, so for now I'm keeping my denty breasts and proly get ovaries out next year...congrats and thanks for the dwinky!!!

Hi Loungettes.....
Taking it a bit easy today after all the exercise from yesterday. This includes finally doing my favorite black diamond as hadn't been groomed until then. Here is a picture from the lookout point, with trails in the near distance. The two mountains I skied around were at my back, so only the trail at the left is part of the 12.5k loop I do.
Family squabbles are the worst. My sisters were worthless during treatment, but that is par for the course.
Have to help with some computer stuff in about an hour. Otherwise, a quiet day.
Sorry Kymm about the meltdown. It will happen again. Really, really you will be better once you are through the first cycle. I was so much better once I knew that not nearly as bad as I had feared. As for celebrating....my take is to use the day I slew the ratbastard, which is the day I had surgery.
Take care with all that ice NM. I have been there.
Back to work, but wanted to check in. Will join the PAR-TAY later. - Claire

Sorry I bumpeded into your post Claire...beautiful pic!! Tanks for posting!

Wowsa Beans..........that was a mouthful girl! LOL! I eat beets too! No comment on the asparagus, but I eat that as well. Me luvs me veggies!
Jaybird, what a FLIP! Certainly glad you don't have to have your girls "lopped" that is great news! And yes give Avery big hugs and kisses from all of her Aunties here, not just Junie. You can't hog her Junie
Kymn, sorry you had a meltdown, they do creep up on ya and when you least expect it and you are entitled to them.
NM, I hope you have heat for the night time....yikes! I bet Sadie can help keep you warm too!
Having my Happy Hour and toasting Jaybird.............ENJOY your 6 weeks off. Do you have anything planned?
*cheers to no lopping"

YAY Jaybird, that is GR8 news!!! Lori is right, we are ALL her aunties.....so give her tons of hugs from all of us So glad you don't have to hav the mx, but can take your time and decide what is best for you! And thanks for the drinks! I had some good news too, my blood work was actually a bit better than 6 months ago. But my fam dr who has a terrible illness that makes him weak, etc, and made him cut down his hours a lot for the past few years was so behind today. I waited THREE HRS to see him. But sadly, his exwife who is raising their young kids had a heart attack today. Hope she will recover, as he doesn't think he will be around long enough to raise the kids. What a dilemna. She lives in GA, so it was a hectic day for them all.
Kymn, My dear you will look GAWGEOUS with those scarves! Would it help you to play around with them and come up with some good ways to cover your head with them, before you might need them? Then you could see how good you will look with them. My heart goes out to you....very normal to get hit with the weepies when something like that arrives.
Beans, I use the date I got my dx, as every day since that day I have been a survivor. But there is no rule, so you can use whatever day you want!!! Glad you are getting above all the fam issues, as you did nothing wrong. SO nice you have a loving, caring husband to help you through this. I am the youngest too, but never felt dumb or anything. We all just went our separate ways growing up, so no closeness there.
NM, Keep that power on!!!! Hoping you don't lose power, thats for sure. It is cooler here, but just 40's and 50's during the day, the warm weather has left for a bit, but these temps aren't bad.
Happy HOur time! Anyone in the bar?????

Jaybird, tough decisions. Whatever you choose, it will be the right one for you. We all have your backs here no matter what. Lori is right, hugs from all of us to Avery. She is growing up so fast I know. Beans, nice to hear from ya! Kathy, did you get your blood tests? Hope they were OK. Got to run, it's snowing crazy snow here. Hope you are warm NM! Later....Hunkydorky

wow you ladies are the best. thank you thankyou and thankyou. I came home today and immediatly put one on to show my family and see how they would react. they all said I looked beautiful but hey what else are they going to say lol. but it wasnt so terribly bad I guess.I didnt cry when i put it on guess i got it all out at work.I am feeling very selfish that I am not responding to all the posts these last few days I am sorry I dont mean to be needy and not paying attention I do read them all and have giggle and tears for all of you. I love the puke 1 puke 2 and puke3 pills i will definetly lable them that way .
Ok question for you all and it might be a silly one but thats ok you all know I am blond can you have a drink at all when on chemo??? Please say yes.
cheers ladies got through another Monday ( or was that sunday lol )

Kymn, I am sure this will bring boos from some even in this thread, but I say YES. You will tolerate what you can as far as what your taste buds tell you. I was on a regimen similar to yours and by week three, I was feeling pretty normal and enjoying some beers. My liver is still working. It might fail me some time however, but I was fine through chemo. My onc said as long as my blood work ups came out ok, enjoy in moderation! I know this is going to cause a stink, but that is my thought...geeze, maybe I shouldn't have posted that. Do what your Doc tells ya! Big ol Hugs to ya.....Miss Hunkydory
0 -
Hi gals, just a quick pop in to let you know I'm still around and check up on everyone. I'm getting myself organised for another two hour trip to the docs...ugh! I'd just rather stay at home but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!.......what a bummer! It's nothing to worry about, just the follow up for the shoulder surgery which by the way is the best thing I have done.....ever!......absolutely no pain now. I didn't ralise just how much pain I was in until it was gone........can you believe that? The other is just to check the ol' blood pressure is behaving after my meds were upped last week.....if it's not one thing it's another....will we ever be free? well I'll answer my own question and say....probably not.
NM you take care in all that ice it sounds really scarry!
Kathy and Stanzie, goodluck with your revision surgery hope it turns out the way you want.
Kymn, honey there is a light at the end of the long tunnel you are facing and before you reach it you will have quite a few meltdowns, but always remember that you are allowed. It's not just a physical challenge it is an emotional one to. We are here for you no matter what. Your beauty will always shine through and your scarves will enhance it. Gentle ((((((hugs))))))) to you lovely one.

Kymn, you may not even feel like drinking. I don't think I did much at all, didn't feel much like eating either. At least for the first week after chemo. But I had 3 weeks in between. Do what you are comfortable with! And if you can't drink your share, we promise to help you! And when you are ready, there will plenty more.
Chrissy girl, no pain..........more reason to drink! I'll have your drinks lined up for you when you get back. And don't be silly about forgetting someone, there are lots of us here! Besides, Dorothy said there are no apologies at The HTL! So there!
Beans, glad the fukitols are working!
