I agree, Robin. You need to go with whatever feels right to you right now. Just be safe.

Oops, I'm in the high risk drinking thread.......well, that's okay tonight......

We're no longer "high risk", we're "humor". Guess it's a better fit.

I used to drink alot, but I don't drink much anymore. Not because I think it's bad for me, but because my body just can't deal with it that well anymore.

Because I was the shooter queen, what I do now is have as many shooters, but only have them at a quarter of the size. That way I don't feel like I'm missing out.

So, we've been demoted down the list of boards to the humor section. Although there are some posts that seriously discuss the risks of drinking before BC, during BC tx and afterwards, I guess we've become more of a comedy act than a serious discussion about being high risk. Wonder if people complained about us? Or, maybe High Risk refers primarily to those who have never been diagnosed and isn't intended for survivors?

Guess I'll have a glass of wine and think about that. I'm on a sauvignon blanc kick right now. Getting ready to open a bottle of Honig Napa Valley. Fresh and crisp in the 100 temps.

Robin - I need to go back and get caught up on your story... but from what I remember of it, you deserve to do whatever you need to do for YOU right now. I say go with your gut and enjoy.

    Cheers!

i took groovy out to dinner........hike her into my jeep, fixed her hair when we got to the restaurant, listened to the same stories and smiled my fool head off the whole time.

she tells me the story about losing her wig in the bay of fundi everytime i see her.......tonight she says "can you imagine being bald in public??????"

i look at her and show my pearly whites then bust up and go "gram?, have you gone that dotty that you forget who you're talkin to?"

she laughed so hard i thught i'd have to "heimlich" her.......she drives me nuts but i loooove her!

Mine used to make us crazy, too. Now we just repeat some of the crazy things she used to say. She used to get so mad at us when we'd mimick her Spanish accent. Sure do miss it. Grammies are the best! Glad that you're enjoying her "drives you nuts" company and making lots of memories even if they are repeats. LOL!!

lol......my brother only barely tolerates her (he has waaaay more issues than me lol) anyhow, one time when i brought her up to our cottages in bayfield she made the comment that "i just don't understand why the mosquitos never ever bite me"....my brother says (really loud)......."mosquitos go after warm blooded creatures i think"........i had to go into the cottage to compose myself........needless to say scott and grammie only see each other on "special occasions

Cottages in Bayfield. Now that sounds like a place to sit back relax and have a drink. I could use a cottage like that. With lots o' repellant of course.

Welcome Dazed, Feel free to join in at anytime. I was just thinking the same thing this morning wondering if we'd be as fun at a real place party as we are at a cyber space one. I think we would, as the essence of who we are has to shine through.
